This article develops a quantitative and qualitative analysis focused on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and its scope as a social phenomenon in the field of museums managed by the Department of Culture and Heritage of the Andalusian Regional Government. Methodologically, the repercussion of physical visits was analysed through statistical data, assessing the decrease in visitors during the pandemic period. Qualitatively, the procedures followed by the different museums studied to continue offering the virtual exhibition of their collections through digital platforms and the different applications focused on interaction with the public were evaluated. Finally, the economic measures adopted by the Autonomous Government of Andalusia and the Spanish Government to boost cultural visits, and especially visits to museums, were evaluated. The results have not only revealed a recovery in the number of visitors, still below pre-pandemic levels, but also that the digital activity and online resources of the museums analysed are still far from other practices developed by American or European museums.

- Abstract
[Introduction]: Natural parks with a recreational vocation play a fundamental role in promoting pro-environmental actions among their visitors. However, for the Latin American region, the programs aimed at these purposes have not achieved the expected results. On the contrary, one of the causes that have intensified the environmental deterioration of the parks is recreational activities. One of the major challenges to promote conservation in these areas is the development of environmental awareness among visitors. [Objective]: The study aimed to analyze the stages of environmental awareness of 190 visitors to Sierra Morelos State Park, a natural protected area in the municipality of Toluca, State of Mexico, to support management that strengthens conservation, generates attitudes, and involves visitors in pro-environmental practices. [Methodology]: In order to collect data, a structured questionnaire was designed based on the four dimensions of environmental awareness: cognitive, affective, conative and active. This study conducted a factor analysis, a cluster analysis, and a Kruskal-Wallis test to identify differences between groups. [Results]: Eleven factors were identified, explaining 70.88 % of the cumulative variance. The cluster analysis identified three groups: Stage 1: passive discursive-intentional; Stage 2: environmental predisposition; Stage 3: affective of agreed actions. [Conclusions]: The results show that there is no definite number of stages that explain one or several realities for which human experiences are the key to environmental awareness., [Introducción]: Los parques naturales con vocación recreativa desempeñan un papel fundamental para fomentar acciones proambientales entre sus visitantes.

It is of great interest for establishments that offer a product or service, for example museums, to know the number of possible visits as a function of other variables that customers will make in a specific period. This to evaluate the degree of demand that exists and at the same time, evaluate if the dissemination strategies are working or otherwise, make more appropriate decisions to improve the quality of attention and satisfaction with visitors. To implement the generalized linear model to estimate the number of annual visits to museums in Mexican territory as a function of predictive variables, a database of 110 museums taken from the Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (INEGI) for the years 2017 and 2018 was used. The models used were regression ordinary linear (RLO) and Poisson regression (RP) and these were applied to all the principal components of eleven predictor variables (web page, reception and service capacity, main theme, permanent collection, ownership, entry, adult fee, discounts, type of visits, open days of the year and temporary exhibitions) to counteract multicollinearity. Besides, the coefficient of determination (R²) was measured between the observed and estimated data to determine the method with the best fit. The functions were used to estimate the number of visits for the years 2019 and 2020. With the model that best fit, an analysis of estimation errors was performed. Comparing the observed data for the years 2017 and 2018 with the results estimated with the characteristic functions of each model, the determination coefficients were R² = 0.61 for the RLO and R² = 0.86 for the PR, respectively. For the years 2019 and 2020, the coefficients of determination obtained were R² = 0.68 and R² = 0.31 for the RLO, and R² = 0.87 and R² = 0.84 for the RP, respectively. The maximum error of estimation registered was between 10 001 and 20 000 annual visits. It is shown that the most suitable model to forecast future annual visits to any museum in Mexico is the Poisson regression. It is believed that the high adjustment to the data observed with the PR method is because these did not have an excess of zeros and fulfilled the assumption of equidispersion. Finally, with the proposed characteristic function, the number of annual visits can be estimated with a maximum error of around 10 %, which is low compared to the maximum number of annual visits that a museum receives.

MASS tourism , *TOURIST attractions , *OLDER people , *INDEPENDENT variables , *QUALITY of service , *SENSORY perception - Abstract
Introduction: The objective is to estimate the determinants of the level of visitor satisfaction based on their attributes in Todos Santos and Loreto, Baja California Sur (BCS) and El Rosario and Cosalá, Sinaloa, magic towns located in the northwest region of Mexico. Method: The methodology used consisted in the adaptation of the Tourist Satisfaction Model (MST) of the Ministry of Tourism of Mexico (SECTUR) and is supported by the estimation of a bivariate Probit model such as the suitable econometric approach to jointly model general tourist satisfaction and the tourist satisfaction derived from the culmination of the travel experience. Applied a survey and a statistical sample of 384 surveys was randomly obtained with reagents associated with nominal, ordinal and interval variables to maximize data robustness Results: The results reveal that there was a significant correlation between both satisfactions, for which evidence is shown that they are complementary. Variables independent that make up the blocks of the tourist profile, the reasons for the trip, experience of services, perception of services, and stay and spending were predictors significant for both types of satisfaction. Discussion or Conclusion: The bivariate Probit model applied to the study areas clearly reveals that the two forms of satisfaction are interrelated (satisfaction in general and satisfaction when retiring). On the other hand, within the determinants of satisfaction that refer to the tourist profile, such as age, they have shown that the older the age has a negative impact on the level of satisfaction, while in natural areas such as parks the influence of this variable is positive. The PMs, because they are tourist sites where visitors come because they are places of tranquility, older people tend to spend time with the purpose of recreation and knowledge of the places because they are natural and tourist attractions. The attributes that consist of the experience of services is a component that within the literature has positively affected satisfaction. However, in the case of accommodation, the effect was negative, the foregoing is due to the fact that in these types of places the category of accommodation is not high as in mass tourism. People who prefer tranquility and to enjoy the natural and cultural attractions come to this type of site. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The traditional models of tourism development generate strong negative effects on the areas, causing degradation. No form of tourism has escaped this, because in all of them natural resources are used as raw material. The objective of this study was to calculate the tourist load capacity of the environmental dimension as an indicator for planning sustainable tourism on the Kuatá trail, Nova Esperança Community, São Marcos Indigenous Land, Pacaraima - Roraima. The approach was of a quantitative, bibliographic and field nature, once the authorization of the community was obtained, the carrying capacity of the tourist in the leisure area and surroundings was determined through the application of the Cifuentes methodology that defines the tourist carrying capacity considering three levels to be calculated: physical load capacity (CCF); real load capacity (CCR); effective or permissible load capacity (CCE), which establish the maximum number of visits that a protected wild area can receive according to its physical, biological and handling conditions at the time of the study. The results obtained showed that the management capacity reached a value of 38.88%, evidencing the need to implement infrastructure, both physical and human resources, to possibly develop EcoTourism in a safe way and the minimum of comfort for visitors, with the objective of valuing tourism products, encouraging both the return and the arrival of new visitors, guaranteeing a flow of people who manage to secure the fundraising for the community and for the surrounding populations.

The promotion of rural areas is a key issue to fight against their depopulation. Currently there are deficiencies in the perception of the value of own resources in many of these territories. Situation due to factors such as lack of territorial culture, local deepening and research dissemination of those which may have certain singularities or aspects of interest at different scales. / We all agree that museums are a part of today’s cultural policies. Thus, it is not possible to think of them taking only into account their own museological projects but likewise they have to be considered from a social empowerment and urban revaluation perspective. In this context, we need to consider education as a part of the mission these institutions should fulfill and achieve. In this article, we speak about education in our museums within the artistic sphere. Subsequently, we would like to present the creation of the First Educators Association in Museums of our country: AVALEM, acronym in Spanish which means «Valencian Educators Society for Museums».

- Abstract

RECREATION , *TOURISTS , *TOURISM , *FOOD tourism , *SOCIAL exchange - Abstract
In the last few decades, tourist or recreational areas have generated negative symptoms due to the increase in the number of visitors, which has affected the host communities. The objective of this document is to show preliminary results of a research that seeks to analyze the perceptions of the residents towards this problem in the Historical Center of the Coyoacán City Hall from the Social Exchange Theory. This aim will be achieved using the ethnographic method, upon the concept that tourism or recreational activity is a phenomenon that involves the interaction between visitors and hosts. As a finding, there is currently massive tourism in the study area, which has led to negative demonstrations by some residents. This situation arises because tourism implies the interaction between tourists, visitors and the local community in a given geographical area; it can be understood that this exchange generates both positive (benefits) and negative (costs) impacts, which are analyzed from the perception of the receiving community, as well as to investigate the effects it causes in an area promoted as a tourist, cultural and gastronomic attraction, due to its importance at the level of visitors acquisition. The literature suggests that the public education fulfillment and entertainment purposes of the zoological gardens depends on the appreciation degree for the present animal species by the visitors. The animal preference identification becomes of great importance, since this information can influence in many ways. Thus, this study aims to identify the profile of zoos visitors, their preferences for animals and the effective observation of them by visitors, as well as the characteristics that have made them preferred. To achieve the research goal, was conducted a case study on the Zoological Park of FZB/RS. A qualitative and quantitative methodological approach is used, and as data collection methods, a questionnaire and behavioral observations are used. The results show that the majority of the respondents are residents of Rio Grande do Sul, frequent visitors and with intent to entertain. Moreover, they have been identified and characterized the 17 animals cited as preferred by visitors. Finally, it is concluded that the following factors are of great influence in the preference for animals in the case study: size, intelligence, danger, predatory intentions, phylogenetic relation and texture.

[EN] The aim of this study is to analyse the profile of the wine tourists in the wineries of Castellón, in order to understand who they are, how they got to know the cellar and why they decided to visit the winery in Castellón. Due to the post-pandemic situation in which the study was carried out, only 100 questionnaires were completed, in one of the most visited cellars in Castellón. The survey was designed to respond to four aspects: 1. Motives for practising enotourism in Castellón. 2. The importance of various factors in the visit to the cellar. 3. Interest in the innovation of complementary activities to enotourism. 4. Knowledge of the cellar and its enotourism offer. From the surveys carried out, it was discovered that Castellón¿s enotourist is a middle-aged person, living in the Valencian Community and already familiar with Castellón's winemaking tradition. Their main purpose for visiting the cellar is to learn more about the winery and its wines, although the majority visited the winery on the recommendations of friends and family, and after their experience, they would also recommend a visit to the winery.

Historical cities are unique sites full of tourist experiences. They stand out for their exceptional quality and are guaranteed as tourist destinations in great development, which are increasingly sought after by tourists, who want to experience genuine places. In historical centers, the authenticity of heritage resources is an important aspect, as it gives to those destinations a cultural and patrimonial value, forming a strong tourist attraction. Over the past three decades, the increasing number of visitors to historical and natural sites has led governments, entrepreneurs, and local communities to manage and promote heritage as an educational resource and as a resource for tourism development. The strategy most used in Europe and the United States has been the interpretation of the heritage for visitors, associated with its revitalization. The interpretation of the patrimony has a dual function of valorization. On the one hand, valuing the visitor’s experience leading him to a better understanding and appreciation of the place visited; on the other, it values its own heritage incorporating it as a tourist attraction. This work aims to understand visitors' vision about the importance of interpretation in the qualification of the heritage offer, as well as the tourist experience lived. We chose as case study the Castelo Quarter which is located in the city of Lamego (Portugal). In methodological terms, a quantitative approach was used, through the completion of a questionnaire survey applied to 106 visitors, being made a simple descriptive analysis through the SPSS program. The results allowed us to obtain a better knowledge of the visitors in terms of socio-demographic profile, as well as to understand which means of interpretation they most value. Based on the collected data, some suggestions of improvements were made, which aim at the valorisation of the Castle Neighbourhood equipments. This knowledge is essential to adapt the offer to the demand in a sustainable touristic development.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of online reviews on consumers’ intention to visit restaurants, with the moderating role of involvement. Design/methodology/approach The research framework was built on signaling theory, message appeals and involvement theory. To test the proposed framework, three experiments were conducted online with real customer samples. T-tests, ANOVA and SPSS PROCESS macro were used for data analysis. Findings The results revealed that online reviews with higher online ratings and emotional appeal led to higher restaurant visit intention. Review appeal significantly moderated the effect of online ratings on restaurant visit intention. Customers with low restaurant involvement were more impacted by emotional comments than by functional comments. Research limitations/implications The present study extends our knowledge on the effects of online reviews moderated by levels of customer involvement. By combining signaling theory with involvement theory, it adds value to the literature on customer online behavior, especially in the foodservice context. The present study has limitations that might provide opportunities for future research. It used evaluations (TripAdvisor scores) and only positive reviews (texts), so customers’ intentions considering negative reviews could not be examined. The level of hedonism concerning consumption in restaurants and prior knowledge regarding restaurant reviews was not controlled for. It is possible that the level of hedonism perceived and prior review knowledge may moderate the customers’ intention to visit the restaurant. Practical implications The present study shows the importance of online comments for the promotion of restaurants that have low evaluation scores. It is essential that restaurant owners and managers encourage potential customers by using comments to elaborate on their marketing strategies and promotion. At the same time, they should invite customers to share their emotional experiences, and not just their views on service efficiency (a functional aspect). During the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of the internet and mobile devices has become more prominent. Managers could therefore use emotional messages on the restaurant’s website or apps to attract customers with low restaurant involvement. Also, a system to identify the involvement of customers with restaurants could be implemented online or on mobile devices to present specific messages. The present study also recommends the use of online tools as virtual tours, photographs taken from different angles, smiling faces, floor plans and sittings and pre-determined emotional expressions. Also, the restaurant could promote lives on cooking different dishes to motive customer’s interaction and comments. These would help to increase customers’ visit intentions. Originality/value This study extends knowledge about the effect of restaurant online reviews (both ratings and appeals) moderated by the level of customer involvement. The present study also adds value to the customer online behavior literature showing that customers with low involvement are more sensitive to emotional content as they use the affective route to process information rather than the central route.
