1. Digital Twin in Industries: A Comprehensive Survey

Abstract

Industrial networks are undergoing rapid transformation driven by the convergence of emerging technologies that are revolutionizing conventional workflows, enhancing operational efficiency, and fundamentally redefining the industrial landscape across diverse sectors. Amidst this revolution, Digital Twin (DT) emerges as a transformative innovation that seamlessly integrates real-world systems with their virtual counterparts, bridging the physical and digital realms. In this article, we present a comprehensive survey of the emerging DT-enabled services and applications across industries, beginning with an overview of DT fundamentals and its components to a discussion of key enabling technologies for DT. Different from literature works, we investigate and analyze the capabilities of DT across a wide range of industrial services, including data sharing, data offloading, integrated sensing and communication, content caching, resource allocation, wireless networking, and metaverse. In particular, we present an in-depth technical discussion of the roles of DT in industrial applications across various domains, including manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, energy, agriculture, space, oil and gas, as well as robotics. Throughout the technical analysis, we delve into real-time data communications between physical and virtual platforms to enable industrial DT networking. Subsequently, we extensively explore and analyze a wide range of major privacy and security issues in DT-based industry. Taxonomy tables and the key research findings from the survey are also given, emphasizing important insights into the significance of DT in industries. Finally, we point out future research directions to spur further research in this promising area.

Abstract

6G wireless networks are expected to provide seamless and data-based connections that cover space-air-ground and underwater networks. As a core partition of future 6G networks, Space-Air-Ground Integrated Networks (SAGIN) have been envisioned to provide countless real-time intelligent applications. To realize this, promoting AI techniques into SAGIN is an inevitable trend. Due to the distributed and heterogeneous architecture of SAGIN, federated learning (FL) and then quantum FL are emerging AI model training techniques for enabling future privacy-enhanced and computation-efficient SAGINs. In this work, we explore the vision of using FL/QFL in SAGINs. We present a few representative applications enabled by the integration of FL and QFL in SAGINs. A case study of QFL over UAV networks is also given, showing the merit of quantum-enabled training approach over the conventional FL benchmark. Abstract

Federated Learning (FL) represents a paradigm shift in machine learning, allowing collaborative model training while keeping data localized. This approach is particularly pertinent in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) context, where data privacy, security, and efficient utilization of distributed resources are paramount. The essence of FL in IIoT lies in its ability to learn from diverse, distributed data sources without requiring central data storage, thus enhancing privacy and reducing communication overheads. However, despite its potential, several challenges impede the widespread adoption of FL in IIoT, notably in ensuring interpretability and robustness. This article focuses on enabling trustworthy FL in IIoT by bridging the gap between interpretability and robustness, which is crucial for enhancing trust, improving decision-making, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Moreover, the design strategies summarized in this article ensure that FL systems in IIoT are transparent and reliable, vital in industrial settings where decisions have significant safety and economic impacts. Abstract

BackgroundGastric cancer (GC) is the fifth most common type of cancer and the fourth most common cause of cancer-related mortality. Although the risk of GC and peptic ulcer disease (PUD) is known to be increased by H. pylori infection, evidence regarding the direct relationship between PUD and GC across ethnicities is inconclusive. Therefore, we investigated the association between PUD and GC in the Stomach cancer Pooling (StoP) consortium.MethodsHistory of peptic ulcer disease was collected using a structured questionnaire in 11 studies in the StoP consortium, including 4106 GC cases and 6922 controls. The two-stage individual-participant data meta-analysis approach was adopted to generate a priori. Unconditional logistic regression and Firth's penalized maximum likelihood estimator were used to calculate study-specific odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for the association between gastric ulcer (GU)/duodenal ulcer (DU) and risk of GC.ResultsHistory of GU and DU was thoroughly reported and used in association analysis, respectively, by 487 cases (12.5%) and 276 controls (4.1%), and 253 cases (7.8%) and 318 controls (6.0%). We found that GU was associated with an increased risk of GC (OR = 3.04, 95% CI: 2.07-4.49). No association between DU and GC risk was observed (OR = 1.03, 95% CI: 0.77-1.39).ConclusionsIn the pooled analysis of 11 case-control studies in a large consortium (i.e., the Stomach cancer Pooling (StoP) consortium), we found a positive association between GU and risk of GC and no association between DU and GC risk.

Abstract

The fifth-generation mobile network (5G) provides extreme throughput and extremely low latency, which enables the Internet of Things (IoT) era and a series of smart IoT ecosystems. The widespread equipping of Device-to-Device (D2D) modules for vehiculars allows transmitting directly between devices without relying on central devices such as access points or base stations. This is the foundation for the shaping of mobile ad hoc communications, so-called MANETs. The combination of MANETs and IoT technology has led to the development of MANET-assisted IoT applications, which offer unprecedented capabilities. However, due to the mobility of network nodes, routing is one of the main challenges in these networks. To address this problem, we propose a multi-constraints routing schema to enhance the performance of MANET-assisted IoT systems. Our simulation experiments show that the proposed solution significantly outperforms traditional routing solutions in terms of performance such as latency, packet delivery ratio, and throughput.

42. Factors Affecting Green Cosmetic's Brand Loyalty: The Mediating Effect of Brand Love.

Abstract

Understanding the core factors necessary for the sustainable competitiveness of a green product is crucial. The objective of this study is to demonstrate the direct and indirect influences of brand experience, brand image, and customer satisfaction on brand love and brand loyalty. We surveyed 205 respondents using purposive sampling as the data collection technique. Data was collected through surveys and analyzed using SPSS and SmartPLS software. The findings of the study indicate that brand love has a positive impact on brand loyalty. Furthermore, brand love fully mediates the impacts of brand experience and customer satisfaction on brand loyalty. On the contrary, brand image directly influences brand loyalty without the mediation of brand love, which departs from previous research and hypotheses. This research aims to address the gaps in previous research articles and contribute new knowledge to theory and practices of green cosmetic brands in Vietnam. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
