A sustainable working life that prevents work-related health problems and facilitate inclusion of young workers is vital to ensure the health, safety and work participation among young workers in the Nordic countries. This report provides Nordic statistics, scientific knowledge and discussions on how to achieve a sustainable work life for young workers in the Nordic countries. Under the Swedish presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2013, the focus was on youth and young workers' working conditions. As part of this focus, the Nordic Council of Ministers commissioned this report. The report shows that an inter-disciplinary and comprehensive approach is essential to ensure a sustainable work life among young workers. Six characteristics are emphasized as important: the characteristics of the worker, the workplace, the work task, the employment, the education and the youth.

This paper describes the architecture of a Converged Messaging system developed within the COMET project [1]. The Converged Messaging framework enables message exchange between new and existing message domains like SMS, MMS, SIP, voicemail and videomail, anytime and anyplace, irrespective of network technology or device used. Two main topics are discussed. First, the paper explains the principles and characteristics of a novel, intuitive and device-independent user interface specifically designed and implemented for handling all messages, regardless of their origin, size and content. Second, the paper elaborates on the IMSbased quality-of-service system architecture that enhances end-to-end quality of the rich multimedia messaging service across multiple, heterogeneous networks. The objective of the proposed framework is to facilitate network operators tuning of their messaging service quality to achieve their operational objectives on the one hand, and to maximize user experience on the other.

Työhön-ryhmien vaikutus työttömien masennusoireisiin Tutkimuksessa selvitetään Työhön-ryhmäohjelman vaikutusta työttömien masennus- ja muihin psyykkisiin oireisiin. Työhön-ohjelma on työttömille tarkoitettu itseluottamusta ja työnhakutaitoja kehittävä viikon kurssi, joka tukee osallistujien työnhakupystyvyyden tunnetta ja kykyä selviytyä tulevista vastoinkäymisistä. Puolivuotisseurannassa kurssiin osallistuneiden psyykkisen oireilun todettiin vähentyneen merkitsevästi enemmän kuin heidän vastinpareillaan vertailuryhmässä. Kurssista hyötyivät erityisesti ne, joilla oli alkumittauksessa havaittu riski psyykkisiin häiriöihin sekä ne, jotka olivat edelleen työttömiä. 5,90 euroa
