W ostatnich latach obserwujemy rosnące zainteresowanie tematyką mody w Polsce, czego dowodem są m.in. publikacje akademików, organizacji komercyjnych i instytucji kultury, a także dziennikarzy. Autorzy wykorzystują różne metody badawcze od ankiet poprzez wywiady, analizę archiwaliów (w przypadku publikacji dotyczących mody w czasach PRL) i garderoby respondentów po obserwację. Celem rozdziału jest charakterystyka i wskazanie zakresu tematycznego opracowań dotyczących mody w Polsce, zajmujących się nią dyscyplin naukowych, rozpoznanie ośrodków badań nad modą w Polsce, a także nakreślenie możliwych przyszłych kierunków prac badawczych. W przeglądzie uwzględniono publikacje akademickie - artykuły naukowe, monografie, raporty - opracowane przez organizacje komercyjne i niekomercyjne, oraz pozostałe opracowania, wśród których wyróżnić możemy reportaże, biografie, książki popularnonaukowe i katalogi wystaw. In recent years, we have observed a growing interest in the subject of fashion in Poland, as evidenced by, inter alia, publications of academics, commercial organizations and cultural institutions, as well as journalists. The authors use various research methods like surveys, interviews, analysis of archival materials (in case of publications about fashion in the People’s Republic of Poland), space analysis and even analysis of respondent’s clothing. To answer the question how to research in fashion, an analysis of publications on fashion by Polish authors was used in the context of fashion studies. As in other disciplines, the applied qualitative and quantitative methods allow us to better understand the complex world of fashion which is understood as a series of relations between consumers, brands and products.

The main aim of the paper is to describe the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the project management process and on projectification. Two research questions are posed: How does the COVID-19 pandemic affect the project management process and projectification? and What are the implications of projectification for the individuals? For this purpose, the author uses autoethnogra phy, which is a research method based on the researcher’s personal experience. The subject of the study covered the project of an open fashion design studio launched as part of the Creative Schol arships of the City of Cracow 2020 in the period from July to December 2020. On the one hand, the pandemic was an impediment to the project, which is why it was necessary to adjust the planned activities to the imposed restrictions; on the other hand, the pandemic inspired certain project events, i.e. organisation of the masquerade ball.

Artykuł stanowi przegląd wybranych przykładów wykorzystania motywów militarnych w kontekście mody, scharakteryzowanej przez pryzmat teorii aktora-sieci jako zjawisko o niejednoznacznym charakterze. Już podczas II wojny światowej cywile, również kobiety, powszechnie nosili trencze. Z kolei w czasach wojny w Wietnamie wiele młodych osób traktowało fragmenty umundurowania, wojskowe kurtki czy spodnie jako symbol antywojennego protestu. Prekursorką tej estetyki była Elsa Schiaparelli, Włoszka, która jako pierwsza wykorzystała wzór moro w historii haute couture. W 2003 roku Madonna, przeciwniczka zbrojnej interwencji w Iraku, przygotowała kontrowersyjny teledysk American Dream. W 2010 roku militarne inspiracje znalazły się między innymi w kolekcjach Burberry czy Balmain. Wśród sesji zdjęciowych odwołujących się do militarnej estetyki odnaleźć można zarówno realizacje konwencjonalne, jak i te mocno dyskusyjne. Militarna moda to także satyra na uniform wojskowy w wykonaniu Thoma Browne'a, kobiety piratki Jeana Paula Gaultiera, amazonki Alexandra McQueena, wybranki krzyżowców duetu Viktor & Rolf czy rycerze Dolce & Gabbana. Oprócz analizy literaturowej zaproponowano również interpretację wybranych sesji zdjęciowych w kontekście utrwalania i przełamywania stereotypów dotyczących płci. On the other hand, in the days of the Vietnam War, many young people treated the fragments of uniforms, military jackets or pants as a symbol of anti-war protest. The forerunner of the aesthetic was Elsa Schiaparelli, an Italian, who first used the camo pattern in the history of haute couture. In 2003, Madonna as an opponent of military intervention in Iraq has prepared a controversial music video American Dream. In 2010, the military inspirations include, among others in the collections of brands such as Burberry and Balmain. Among the photo sessions referring to the military aesthetics, it can be found both conventional projects and those hardly discussed. The military fashion is also a satire on the uniform in collections by Thom Browne, women pirates of Jean Paul Gaultier, Alexander McQueen's Amazons, the knights of Dolce & Gabbana. Besides literary analysis, in last part there were proposed selected photo sessions interpretations in the context of gender expectations.

Michał Wójciak's chapter is devoted to Alexander McQueen, considered one of the most important designers of the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. Thanks to his consistency in his work, McQueen gained a reputation as a visionary. His genius ability to break boundaries and to propel fashion closer to the category of art was validated in his exhibition, Savage Beauty, organized in 2015 at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. This was to be the first and largest European retrospective of McQueen's work. BBC journalist Lindsay Baker once examined the work of British designer in the context of fairy tales written by the Brothers Grimm, which was the source of inspiration for McQueen. He designs silhouettes of warrior princesses and shapeshifters in his creative collections. Alexanders' collections also make references to the past utilizing the aesthetics of the Victorian era horror. He envisioned the future through what he called the prism of the mythical Atlantis. This was to be Alexander McQueen's final and complete collection which he named, "Plato's Atlantis". The untimely death and suicide of Alexander McQueen in 2010 ushered-in the end of an era in the fashion industry where many designers willingly created uncompromising, fantastical theatrical shows devoid of his creative vision and fashion genius.

Tekst jest próbą analizy kategorii dziedzictwa w kontekście zarządzania humanistycznego. W tym celu wykorzystano interpretację czterech filmów o Parku Jurajskim: Park Jurajski (1993, reż. Steven Spielberg), Zaginiony Świat: Jurassic Park (1997, reż. Steven Spielberg), Jurassic Park III (2001, reż. Joe Johnston) oraz Jurassic World (2015, reż. Colin Trevorrow). Wskrzeszenie dinozaurów zostało potraktowane jako metafora dziedzictwa kulturowego. Na tej podstawie możliwa jest dyskusja o komercjalizacji dziedzictwa, roli przepisów prawnych w zarządzaniu nim oraz o wartościach etycznych w procesie jego ochrony. The article is an attempt to analyse categories of heritage in the context of humanistic management, taking into consideration the Jurassic Park films: Jurassic Park (USA 1993, dir. Steven Spielberg), The Lost World: Jurassic Park (USA 1997, dir. Steven Spielberg), Jurassic Park III (USA 2001 dir. Joe Johnston), Jurassic World (USA 2015, dir. Colin Trevorrow). The resurrection of dinosaurs has been treated as a metaphor of cultural heritage. On this basis, it is possible to talk about commercialization of heritage, the role of legislation in its management, and on the ethical values in its protection.

Zombies, much like vampires, are one of the most frequently used figures in popular culture at the dawn of the 21st Century. One can also observe this motif in the fashion industry, where it is based in mechanisms used to incite controversy. The starting point for the chapter The World of Fashion–The World of Zombies: A Story about Zombie Boy, Models and Us Consumers by Michał Wójciak is an analysis of selected photo shoots and fashion shows for the presence of iconographic elements from nar-rative films about the living dead. A broad array of cultural contexts is cited, including the aesthetics of imaging death in the Middle Ages as well as punk counterculture. The undead character is also treated as a metaphor for the world of fashion, where values like uniqueness and identification collide. On the other hand, the category of the epidemic allows us to look critically at the phenomenon of the spread of trends as a part of the capitalist system that is based on surplus production and unlimited con-sumption. Niniejszy artykuł traktuje o pojęciach kiczu i kampu w świecie mody. W modzie, jak zauważa autor, znaleźć można wiele przykładów kiczu, zarówno tego świadomego, jak i nie. Spora część projektantów konsekwentnie i świadomie z sezonu na sezon sięga po tego typu estetykę i nie traktuje tego zabiegu w kategoriach chwilowego romansu. Handel podrabianymi produktami naraża na wielomiliardowe straty prywatnych przedsiębiorców, rządy poszczególnych państw i społeczeństwa. Celem artykułu jest prezentacja teorii oraz badań dotyczących sprzedaży podróbek wraz z analizą statystyk i przekazów medialnych jako próbą określenia, w jaki sposób polscy konsumenci postrzegają ten problem. The trade in counterfeit products is liable to multibillion-dollar losses of private entrepreneurs, national governments, and society. The aim of the article is to present theory and research on the sale of counterfeit together with an analysis of statistics and media coverage as an attempt to determine how Polish consumers perceive this problem.
