5G technology and its potential to ‘revolutionize’ the industry are of interest to grain industry and researchers. To meet this ‘step change’, it is necessary to understand the compatibility of grain industrial chains with 5G and how 5G technology might change the industry. We conducted a discourse analysis of advantages of 5G in grain industry. Two main discourse were identified: (1) 5G as a technology that will significantly improve the efficiency of the grain industry systems, and similarly (2) 5G as a way for every participant to benefit. It provides quality service. We relate these findings and the literature on adoption of information technology in grain industry and the potential of grain participants to embrace 5G technology,highlighting key questions and issues that need to be addressed in further development of 5G technology in grain industry. This is the first study of 5G in grain industry that use discourse analysis to examine the whole grain industry system and thus make better progress in the application of 5G technology.

This study proposes a model-based Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) automatic target recognition algorithm. Scattering is computed offline using the laboratory-developed Bidirectional Analytic Ray Tracing software and the same system parameter settings as the Moving and Stationary Target Acquisition and Recognition (MSTAR) datasets. SAR images are then created by simulated electromagnetic scattering data. Shape features are extracted from the measured and simulated images, and then, matches are searched. The algorithm is verified using three types of targets from MSTAR data and simulated SAR images, and it is shown that the proposed approach is fast and easy to implement with high accuracy.

Tillering is an important agronomic trait which has a direct impact on plant type and grain yield. Strigolactones are a class of important phytohormones regulating rice tillering. ATMAX1 is an important gene involved in strigolactone biosynthesis through encoding the protein P450 in Arabidopsis. Based on sequence BLASTp, we identified five homologous genes of ATMAX1 in rice, i.e., OsMAX1a, OsMAX1b, OsMAX1c, OsMAX1d and OsMAX1e. Among them, OsMAX1a and OsMAX1e showed stable and high expression in rice tissues. In addition, we observed that OsMAX1a and OsMAX1e can rescue the branched phenotype and the influences caused by MAX1 mutation in Arabidopsis. Moreover, the expression of OsMAX1a and OsMAX1e can respond to phosphate deficiency and different phytohormones, especially GR24, a strigolactone analogue. Therefore, it is concluded that OsMAX1a and OsMAX1e are involved in the biosynthesis of strigolactones and regulated rice tillering.

The classical Track Segment Association (TSA) algorithm suffers from low accuracy and is impractical to use in concentrated targets, branching, and cross-tracking environment. Thus, a new statistical binary track segment association algorithm is proposed. The new algorithm is more appropriate as it increases the sample size for the χ2 distribution threshold detection. Simulation results show that in air cross tracking and for ballistic targets, the global correct association rate and the average correct association rate of the proposed algorithm are remarkably improved, which proves the good performance of the proposed algorithm.

【Abstract】 Objective: To create a 3-dimensional finite element model of knee ligaments and to analyse the stress changes of lateral collateral ligament (LCL) with or without displaced movements at different knee flexion conditions. Methods: A four-major-ligament contained knee specimen from an adult died of skull injury was prepared for CT scanning with the detectable ligament insertion footprints, locations and orientations precisely marked in advance. The CT scanning images were converted to a 3-dimensional model of the knee with the 3-dimensional reconstruction technique and transformed into finite element model by the software of ANSYS. The model was validated using experimental and numerical results obtained by other scientists. The natural stress changes of LCL at five different knee flexion angles (0°, 30°, 60°, 90°, 120°) and under various motions of anterior-posterior tibial translation, tibial varus rotation and internal-external tibial rotation were measured. Results: The maximum stress reached to 87%-113% versus natural stress in varus motion at early 30° of knee flexions. The stress values were smaller than the peak value of natural stress at 0° (knee full extension) when knee bending was over 60° of flexion in anterior-posterior tibial translation and internal-external rotation. Conclusion: LCL is vulnerable to varus motion in almost all knee bending positions and susceptible to anterior- posterior tibial translation or internal-external rotation at early 30° of knee flexions. NOx has become one of the main culprits causing the global greenhouse effect, and excessive emissions of NOx can also cause some common diseases in humans. The denitrification of power plant boilers has been 100% popularized, and their denitrification efficiency has reached national and local environmental requirements (such as Selective Catalytic Reduction, SCR). However, small gas boilers, due to their use of relatively clean fuels, have relatively low NOx emissions. But, local environmental protection departments have weak supervision of small clean fuel boilers, and these equipment generally lack specialized denitrification equipment, resulting in NOx emissions still not meeting standards. In addition, there are many small gas boilers, resulting in high total emissions. The fully premixed burner of a small gas boiler has the effect of suppressing NOx production during combustion. This study designed a surface porous burner with different combustion intensities at different positions. The experimental results and numerical calculations show that for horizontal combustion, the burner has different intake rates at different axial positions, enabling uniform combustion throughout the entire furnace, with NOx emissions below 30 mg/Nm3. The numerical simulation results show that the NOx emissions are 26.6 mg/m3. The calculated results are in good agreement with the actual situation. The generation of NOx is mainly thermal, with a maximum error of 15.4% between the calculated and experimental values. The difference between the calculated value of O and the experimental one is 5.1%. It can be seen that numerical simulation has considerable accuracy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Shaft voltage often exists in synchronous generators due to the assembly error or various faults after the long‐term performance. The article investigates the shaft voltage characteristic under the stator interturn short circuit (SISC) condition. Different from other studies, this article mainly considers the mapping relationship between the amplitude–frequency characteristics of the shaft voltage and the SISC degrees. The detailed shaft voltage expressions are first derived based on the magnetic flux density under the normal condition and SISC condition. Then the finite element analysis and the experiment is studied on a CS‐5 prototype synchronous generator with two poles in order to validate the theoretical formula. The result shows that there is no shaft voltage in the normal condition, while the shaft voltage is generated obviously under the SISC condition. Meanwhile, the frequency component of the shaft voltage is mainly composed of odd harmonics including the first, third and fifth harmonics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
