Major theoretical and practical hydrological issues may be solved using methods to maintain water balance. Evaluating the climate characteristics and environmental circumstances to be employed in the methods of water managing approach used in the Erbil sub-basin, northern Iraq, is the primary goal of this study. The studied area is a part of the region influenced by the Mediterranean climatological system. The climatic parameters of the research region were evaluated using the climatic data collected in the Erbil meteorological station for the period 1980-2022. The research result shows that the mean annual rainfall is 411.26 mm/year and the average monthly relative humidity is 41.12 %, the mean temperature is 20.62 °C, mean sunshine duration 8.35 hr./day and annual pan evaporation is 1200.96 mm / year. Potential evapotranspiration considered by Thornthwaite method is 1588.94 mm. The water surplus and deficit are 216.14 mm and 1393.81 mm, respectively. The surface runoff calculating from soil conservation system (SCS) technique which is about 86 mm / year and groundwater recharge is about 130.14 mm / year. The groundwater 3 Budgets is about 187661880 m³ / year. The climatic situation in the area is variety from winter its wet to the summer its dry climates. Also, it could be measured that the climate in the area is determined was (Humid to very humid). The draught index according to SPI analysis show that the drought was observed during Moderately drought in (1983, 1999, 2000, 2010, 2015, and 2021) to severely drought in (2022. Increased public awareness, stricter measures, and new laws in the field of water resources have made the use of modern computer technology indispensable in the fields of science and technology. Thus, geographic information systems (GISs) are most in demand as they can be used as effective tools for storing, managing, and presenting spatial hydrological data and are essential in water resources management tasks. The application of GIS technology to water resources is steadily expanding. Recently, a lot of software provided by modern GIS has appeared. These software products solve various hydrological tasks, including hydrological modeling of surface water, groundwater, water supply, and sewerage systems, as well as rainwater pollution simulation. This article reviews and analyzes modern GIS software products that are significant in the analysis of hydrological data. The study aims to highlight the differences between various programs and use the results to determine which software is the best, regardless of whether it is paid or open source. In order to improve the detection accuracy of CO2 and other gases in the flue gas emitted from thermal power plants, a CO2 concentration detection model based on tunable semiconductor laser absorption spectroscopy was proposed. First, a variational mode decomposition model was used to filter the harmonic signal after removing the outliers to reduce the influence of noise on the detection results. Suitable absorption lines and concentration characteristics were then selected according to the gas absorption properties and correlation theory. Finally, the CO2 concentration inversion was completed using long short-term memory networks, and a Bayesian optimization algorithm was introduced to optimize the hyperparameters of the network. The experimental results showed that the R 2 and RMSE of the test set were 0.998 84 and 0.116 08, respectively, in the concentration range of 1%–12%. In addition, the Allan analysis of variance revealed that the maximum measurement error of CO2 was only 0.005 619% when the integration time was 38 s. Compared to the traditional CO2 detection schemes, the detection accuracy and stability are significantly improved, which provides a feasible scheme for flue gas detection in thermal power plants. Increased attention to the provenance, condition, and authenticity of items challenges traditional warehouse management systems (WMS). This paper introduces a novel blockchain model combined with internet of things (IoT) devices and radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags, all dedicated to the management of warehouses. It proposes a secure and accountable way to track art pieces with an immutable ledger for transaction records and real-time monitoring of IoT environmental conditions. The model addresses key challenges in the art sector, such as the security and provenance verification of the artworks, enhances inventory accuracy, reduces human error and provides a solution in terms of tracking valuable items. Introduction Runoff and the rainfall-runoff relationship are one of the most fundamental research topics in hydrology. Due to the increasing trend of flood occurrence and the resulting damages, it is necessary to determine the flood-producing priority areas and prioritize the sub-watersheds in terms of flood control projects and integrated management of watersheds. The primary contributing areas in runoff generation and the affecting factors should be identified in a flood management project. Understanding the flood occurrence potential of watersheds can be useful in formulating different flood management plans, allocating necessary funds, water resources management, watershed management, and erosion control programs. Watershed Modeling System (WMS) as an integrated flood modeling software can simulate flood hydrographs considering the required parameters. Among the common runoff estimation methods, the SCS curve number method is the most common in estimating flood volume and flood runoff height. Land use changes as an important factor in the alteration of watershed hydrologic response can accelerate soil erosion and biodiversity loss. Land use change affects the curve number and consequently, discharge and flood hydrographs, as assessed in the current study. Materials and Methods The Khiavchai Watershed, with an area of about 134 km2 has been chosen as the study area. The annual rainfall of the study area is 343.8 mm. Toward the hydrologic modeling in the study area, the slope map of the watershed has been derived from the DEM of the study area using the ArcMap software. The maximum daily rainfall of 11 rating gauge stations has been obtained and the raw data has been processed using a common statistical test to check the data quality and homogeneity of SPSS software. The maximum 24-h rainfall data were analyzed using Easy Fit software to select the best statistical distribution. The 3-parameter Pearson distribution (as the best probability distribution function), has been used to calculate the rainfall values in 2 to 100-year return periods. The maximum daily rainfall values were entered into the ArcGIS software and the spatial distribution mapping was done using the IDW method. The average maximum daily precipitation with different return periods was converted to 6-h precipitation. The SCS and WMO rainfall patterns were compared in the study area, and the WMO rainfall patterns were selected as the appropriate input for the model. The maximum annual instantaneous discharge values have been used in estimating the flood discharge in 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100-year return periods using EasyFit software. The input model parameters (slope map, slope direction, curve number, and soil hydrological group) were prepared in ArcGIS and Arc-Hydro software. Results and Discussion The results showed that the maximum flood discharge increases intensely with an increase in the return period. The average CN value of the basin was obtained at 76, the initial loss coefficient was obtained at 0.202, and the STRTL value was obtained at 16.203. According to the increasing curve number values, the infiltration time and the time to reach the peak are reduced. Therefore, by increasing the curve number by 5, 15, and 25%, respectively, the time to reach the peak is 240, 180, and 135 min, and the base time of the hydrograph has decreased by 1035, 885, and 750 min. Meanwhile, the peak value of the simulated flood hydrograph has increased from 1.74 to 6.466, 27.491, and 109.694 m3 s-1. With an increase of 25% curve number, the peak discharge in the return period of 10, 25, 50, and 100 years has increased to 13, 9, 7.5, and 6.3, respectively. The results show that the effect of changes in curve number values on the flood discharge, in the low return period is much more than the high return period. So in the return period of 100 years with 25% changes in curve number, the peak flood discharge value is 6.38 times in the 2-year return period. The results indicate that the least change in the type of land use (in order to reduce permeability) causes a considerable increase in flood discharge in the region. Conclusion The effects of changes in CN values have been assessed in the current research in a modeling framework to estimate the flood hydrograph components. Comparison of the estimated flood hydrograph components against observation values has been evaluated using relative error and root mean square error. The values of these statistical indices were obtained with the least error related to the 3-parameter lognormal distribution of about 10.32% and 8.68 m3 s-1. By comparing the results of the maximum flood analysis and the WMS model, it can be concluded that the simulated data are consistent with the observed flood records in the Pole-Solatani river gauge station located at the outlet of the Khiavchai Watershed.

This paper presents the description of the wavelength modulation spectroscopy (WMS) experiment, the parameters of which were established by use of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithm. As a result, a significant improvement in the signal power to noise power ratio (SNR) was achieved, ranging from 1.6 to 6.5 times, depending on the harmonic. Typically, optimizing the operation conditions of WMS-based gas sensors is based on long-term simulations, complex mathematical model analysis, and iterative experimental trials. An innovative approach based on a biological-inspired genetic algorithm (GA) and custom-made electronics for laser control is proposed. The experimental setup was equipped with a 31.23 m Heriott multipass cell, software lock-in, and algorithms to control the modulation process of the quantum cascade laser (QCL) operating in the long-wavelength-infrared (LWIR) spectral range. The research results show that the applied evolutionary approach can efficiently and precisely explore a wide range of WMS parameter combinations, enabling researchers to dramatically reduce the time needed to identify optimal settings. It took only 300 s to test approximately 1.39 × 1032 combinations of parameters for key system components. Moreover, because the system is able to check all possible component settings, it is possible to unquestionably determine the operating conditions of WMS-based gas sensors for which the limit of detection (LOD) is the most favorable. The greenhouse effect resulting from fuel combustion has drawn growing attention, and CO2 emissions from fossil fuel power stations are one of the main sources of greenhouse gases. It is crucial to monitor the concentration of CO2 in the flue gas ducts of these stations. However, pressure and vibration caused by the combustion of boilers make the measurement of CO2 in flue gas ducts extremely challenging. In this study, tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) combined with Wave Modulation Spectroscopy (WMS) was employed to measure the concentration of CO2 under different pressure and vibration conditions in the laboratory. The absorption line of CO2 at the wavenumber 6357.38 cm−1 was recorded under varying pressure conditions ranging from 0 to 1.4 atm, acceleration conditions ranging from 0 to 7.7 m/s2, and a combination of both. Firstly, a negative linear correlation was found between the pressure and the amplitude of the second harmonic, with a maximum relative error of 4.645% observed at a pressure of 1.4 atm. Secondly, the maximum acceleration that the system can withstand was determined to be 7.3 m/s2, as it was not possible to provide a sufficiently low fitting error at higher accelerations. For the combined effects of the pressure and vibration, a dramatic increase in the relative error of amplitude can be observed within the acceleration range of 5.0~6.0 m/s2 while under the pressure conditions of 0.6 atm, 1.0 atm, and 1.4 atm. Moreover, the maximum endurable acceleration decreases with the increase in pressure, which infers that effective measurements can be achieved when the acceleration is below 5 m/s2 within the pressure range of 0~1.4 atm. This suggests that TDLAS combined with WMS possesses a potential for online measuring of CO2 concentrations in flue gas ducts within a certain acceleration range. This study aims to study and evaluate the surface water use of Al-Shuwaija marsh by estimating the maximum value of water flow and the volume of water revenues through the hydrological analysis of the characteristics of these marsh basins in addition to the physical analysis of the characteristics of the selected design storm. The hydrological model was created for the watersheds of the Al-Shuwaija marsh. Sixty simulations were conducted to model the Shuwaija marsh for different return periods and rainstorms, where the model was calibrated and then validated to predict the flow and volume of water using the (WMS) program. The SCS method was used to calculate the value of the total curve number (CN) based on the land use and soil type of Al-Shuwaija marsh basins, where its value was 80.84. It has been shown via modelling that a discharge may be achieved into 8298 /sec at a return period of 100 years and obtain a discharge of up to 1775 /sec at a return period of 2 years. Based on the expected amount of precipitation that would fill the selected reservoir, three scenarios were assumed each scenario representing the area of the reservoir and the volume of incoming water.

Determination of optimal location for wind farm is a challenging task influenced by several decision criteria and factors subject to human. This case study done proposes an integrated decision support framework to investigate the spatial wind farm suitability based on F-AHP (Fuzzy-Analytical Hierarchy Process) together with Q-GIS (Quantum-Geographic Information System) tool. Firstly, spatial analysis and integration of nine-exclusion factors were included to identify the unsuitable sites. Next, F-AHP-based MCDM (Multi Criteria Decision Making) analysis was employed to obtain criteria weights of seven evaluation factors. Unlike traditional AHP method, the proposed F-AHP method is much flexible to deal with intermediate linguistic variable. F-AHP results reveal that wind speed is the most important criteria followed by power Tr. lines with weighted value of 33.05% and 20.95% respectively. The thematic suitability map was developed on Q-GIS platform to classify from "least suitable" to "most suitable" classes. The final suitable map indicates 26.09 km2 and 138.42 km2 area are most suitable and highly suitable respectively for wind farm establishment. This study is also supported with ground measurement wind resource data collected through a WMS (Weather Monitoring Station) installed at "most suitable" region of suitability indexed class. A standoff methane (CH4) sensor with actual hard topographic targets (usually called non-cooperative targets) is essential for natural gas pipeline leakage inspection and many other practical applications. To address this requirement, a miniaturized and low-power-consumption gas sensor was developed based on tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy for standoff CH4 detection with a non-cooperative target. Wavelength modulation spectroscopy with a 1 f normalized 2 f detection method was employed for calibration-free CH4 measurement. A Kalman filter algorithm was used to improve the precision of the detection. The performance of the standoff CH4 sensor was evaluated comprehensively under various conditions, including different incident angles, different hard topographic targets, and different standoff distances. The results show that the measurement precision is 0.107% and the sensitivity is 4.08 parts per million per meter (ppm·m) with a time resolution of 1 s and a standoff distance of 40 m. The detection limit can achieve 1.24 ppm·m at an optimal integration time of 70 s. This sensor can be easily integrated into mobile platforms, which lays the foundation for intelligent leak inspection. Graphical abstract This is a visual representation of the abstract. Abstract Background Numerous investigations have found that cognitive deficits in COVID-19 survivors may be reversible; hence, early detection is essential. These cognitive deficiencies should be targeted with scaled cognitive therapies that can be widely used even in patients’ homes, supporting the best possible cognitive and functional outcomes. In the meanwhile, it has been observed that COVID-19 patients may experience worry, fear, depression, and other mental health problems. Therefore, subjective cognitive difficulties may be due to emotional discomfort. As a result, these data highlight the significance of early diagnosis of anxiety symptoms and depression symptoms in COVID-19 patients in order to prevent subsequent cognitive problems. All patients were selected in accordance with the case definition and used the following tools after 1, 3, and 6 months after being cleared of COVID-19 infection: developed questionnaire for both clinical and demographic data, the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test, the Wechsler Memory Scale-Revised, the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale, the Beck Depression Inventory, and Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV disorders. Results Fifty patients were participated in this study from both gender, different levels of education, and the major group was nonsmokers (82%). A total of 88% of participants had confirmed COVID-19, and 12% had contact with them. Wisconsin Card Sorting Test for preservative parameters revealed that the 2nd follow-up showed nonsignificant comparison to the 1st follow-up, while the 3rd showed highly significant comparison to the 1st follow-up. While for non-preservative errors, the 2nd follow-up showed significant comparison to the 1st, while the 3rd showed highly significant comparison to the 1st follow-up. Conceptual level response parameters showed that both the 2nd and the 3rd follow-ups showed nonsignificant comparison to the 1st follow-up. There was no significant correlation between Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAS) and any parameter of Wisconsin Card Sorting Test or any parameter of Wechsler Memory Scale-Revised. Conclusions While there was negative impact of COVID-19 infection on cognitive functions in Egyptian recovered COVID-19 patients which improves gradually by time, there was nonsignificant correlations between anxiety symptoms, depressive symptoms, and Wisconsin Card Sorting Test as well as Wechsler Memory Scale-Revised parameters in tested individuals through three consecutive follow-ups of COVID-19 in Egypt. Further testing using other scales or larger sample is mandatory to elucidate further potential impact of COVID-19 on cognitive functions of recovered patients.

It is widely accepted that old cadastral maps have multiple uses, such as reestablishing cadastral parcel boundaries, municipality boundaries, and coastal limits, or conducting historical, economic, and social studies. In Spain, the Directorate General for Cadastre, and the National Geographic Institute, has numerous digitized old maps that are accessible to users. In the Comunidad Valenciana, the georeferencing of certain series of old cadastral maps is being carried out in phases, which is one of the subjects of this study. A metric analysis of two series of old cadastral maps from a municipality was conducted. One of the series was georeferenced by the Valencia Provincial Cadastre Office, while the other was georeferenced in this research. Additionally, a spatial data infrastructure (SDI) was created, providing WMS, catalog, and document download services. Metadata were also published, containing information about the source, digitalization process, georeferencing, and achieved accuracy, following the ISO 19115 standard for geographic metadata. Furthermore, through individual and group interviews, participatory social research was conducted, to assess the use of old cadastral maps and the created SDI services, aiming to understand the users' appreciation of the services. The results of the social research indicate that the SDI services created are highly valued, but certain conditions need to be met to ensure their effective use by the general public in order to avoid misuses and misinterpretations. Background: With the continuing growth of warehouses globally, there is an increasing need for sustainable logistics solutions in warehousing, but research linking warehouse management systems (WMS) and sustainability is lacking. Methods: A systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis were conducted in Scopus and Web of Science databases from 2006 to 2022 to investigate academic knowledge of WMS contributing to warehouses' social and environmental sustainability. Results: Findings revealed only 12 topic-relevant articles from 2013 to 2022, primarily published recently. More recent articles have received more citations than earlier published works. The articles were from multiple research fields, such as business economics, engineering, computer science, and social sciences, with only one article on environmentally sustainable technologies. The top keywords were "warehouse management system", "internet of things", "industry 4.0" and "supply chain". Only six articles had environmental sustainability terms in the keywords. Findings show more discussions about social rather than environmental sustainability. Most studies suggest integrating WMS with other systems to support sustainability efforts in warehousing. Conclusions: The study addressed a gap in academic literature regarding WMS and sustainability. Research findings added knowledge of practical activities to achieve warehouse operations and performance sustainability and proactively reduce warehouse operations' environmental and social impacts. The IoT and cloud environment renders enormous quantities of geospatial information. Fog and mist computing is the scaling technology that handles geospatial data and sends it to the cloud storage system through fog/mist nodes. Installing a mist–cloud–fog system reduces latency and throughput. This mist–cloud–fog system has processed different types of geospatial web services, i.e., web coverage service (WCS), web processing services (WPS), web feature services (WFS), and web map services (WMS). There is an urgent requirement to increase the number of computer devices tailored to deliver high-priority jobs for processing these geospatial web services. This paper proposes a priority-queueing assisted mist–cloud–fog system for efficient resource allocation for high- and low-priority tasks. In this study, WFS is treated as high-priority service, whereas WMS is treated as low-priority service. This system dynamically allocates mist nodes and is determined by the load on the system. In addition to that, the assignment of tasks is determined by priority. Not only does this classify high-priority tasks and low-priority tasks, which helps reduce the amount of delay experienced by high-priority jobs, but it also dynamically allocates mist devices within the network depending on the computation load, which helps reduce the amount of power that is consumed by the network. The findings indicate that the proposed system can achieve a significantly lower delay for higher-priority jobs for more significant rates of task arrival when compared with other related schemes. In addition to this, it offers a technique that is both mathematical and analytical for investigating and assessing the performance of the proposed system. The QoS requirements for each device demand are factored into calculating the number of mist nodes deployed to satisfy those requirements. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Accurate modeling of the drainage basin, including its spatial and temporal distribution of hydrological parameters and rainfall-runoff process, is very important in many applications. As an example, design flood estimation in hydraulic structures, which has the main role in the construction cost, is a result of rainfall-runoff simulation. The Rudbar Lorestan dam project is a part of the hydroelectric development projects complex in the Dez River basin. This project is located in a mountainous zone 200 Km away from Isfahan on the Rudbar River and 100 Km away from the south of Aligudarz. The aim of the Rudbar Dam and power plant project was to use the hydroelectric potential that is caused by the different elevations between the dam position and the power plant location. Due to the About 300 Meters difference in elevation from the dam axis to the power plant location set as one of Iran's prominent hydroelectricity projects. There are many consulting engineers in these projects, previous studies, and their main study result (flood design) shows a 17% difference from each other. due to the significant mentioned difference caused by using experimental methods and personal judgment, an effort was made in this research to simulate a large part of the Rainfall-Runoff process and model the water movement current on the basin surface with WMS software, and by taking the results of previous studies, the results of executing point of view and theory point of view had been compared. For this purpose, two internal and external representative basins were simulated, and the results were compared to evaluate the ability of the model. Simulating the main basin refuses the older studies by the difference near 20%, and confirms the newer studies by a difference of about 10%.

Academic research on third-party logistics operators selecting warehouse management systems is scarce at best, based on found 86 area-specific studies written in English. Only 17 studies had mentions of 3PL and WMS but did not directly reference 3PL using WMS. Eighty-six studies covering four main categories contributed to understanding ongoing research in WMS characteristics and the 3PL context. One category is warehouse characteristics relevant to WMS, and the others concern the warehouse management system as its taxonomy, functions, features, and deployment considerations. Within these four categories, 17 subtopic areas were identified. WMS deployment considerations had the highest number of subtopics (ten), being the most focused area for WMS selection considerations for the system's successful implementation and operation usage. WMS functions and features category contained only a subtopic, indicating a need for additional research on operational functions in management systems and 3PL operations context. Award-winning 3PL validated our findings, utilizing their extensive industry experience. Based on the 3PLs validation review, fast-developing and technology areas, such as digitalization and the newest warehouse management technologies, were the only areas missing from the academic literature. Research is carried out to map the missing specific digitalization, technology-based research, development, innovation possibilities, and WMS sustainability-related knowledge gaps. By addressing the knowledge gap in existing literature, the study significantly contributes to understanding WMS utilization in the 3PL context, providing new insights into WMS characteristics overview, advancing research in 3PL logistics selecting WMS, and defining future research venues of WMS aspects. Background: Numerous investigations have found that cognitive deficits in COVID-19 survivors may be reversible; hence, early detection is essential. These cognitive deficiencies should be targeted with scaled cognitive therapies that can be widely used even in patients' homes, supporting the best possible cognitive and functional outcomes. In the meanwhile, it has been observed that COVID-19 patients may experience worry, fear, depression, and other mental health problems. Therefore, subjective cognitive difficulties may be due to emotional discomfort. As a result, these data highlight the significance of early diagnosis of anxiety symptoms and depression symptoms in COVID-19 patients in order to prevent subsequent cognitive problems. All patients were selected in accordance with the case definition and used the following tools after 1, 3, and 6 months after being cleared of COVID-19 infection: developed questionnaire for both clinical and demographic data, the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test, the Wechsler Memory Scale-Revised, the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale, the Beck Depression Inventory, and Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV disorders. Results: Fifty patients were participated in this study from both gender, different levels of education, and the major group was nonsmokers (82%). A total of 88% of participants had confirmed COVID-19, and 12% had contact with them. Wisconsin Card Sorting Test for preservative parameters revealed that the 2nd follow-up showed nonsignificant comparison to the 1st follow-up, while the 3rd showed highly significant comparison to the 1st follow-up. While for non-preservative errors, the 2nd follow-up showed significant comparison to the 1st, while the 3rd showed highly significant comparison to the 1st follow-up. Conceptual level response parameters showed that both the 2nd and the 3rd follow-ups showed nonsignificant comparison to the 1st follow-up. There was no significant correlation between Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAS) and any parameter of Wisconsin Card Sorting Test or any parameter of Wechsler Memory Scale-Revised. Conclusions: While there was negative impact of COVID-19 infection on cognitive functions in Egyptian recovered COVID-19 patients which improves gradually by time, there was nonsignificant correlations between anxiety symptoms, depressive symptoms, and Wisconsin Card Sorting Test as well as Wechsler Memory Scale-Revised parameters in tested individuals through three consecutive follow-ups of COVID-19 in Egypt. The article on the use of IT logistics systems by microenterprises. The purpose is to analyze and evaluate the functionality of logistics IT systems used by microenterprises in Middle Pomerania. The methods are a systems analysis and a diagnostic survey conducted using the CAWI method. The result is an analysis of the use of such software in microenterprises as ERP (54.55%) and SAP (72.73%), or WMS (43.55%), MES (34.36%) and TMS (45.45%) modules and their low evaluation of 2.63-3.78 and high evaluation of EDI functionality (4.09), as well as the use of 87.69%. An oxygen sensor system was developed based on Faraday modulation spectroscopy (FAMOS). In the system, a distributed feedback laser near 760.9 nm was used as the light source and a 30‐cm long gas cell was employed for gas absorption. The first harmonic was extracted by a commercial lock in amplifier for the derivation of concentration. Oxygen measurement experiments were conducted the performance of the sensor system was obtained. In addition, oxygen sensor system with wavelength modulation spectroscopy (WMS) scheme was developed with the same light source and gas cell for a direct comparison. Based on Allan deviation analysis, a detection limit of 0.186% for the WMS scheme and a detection limit of 0.108% for the FAMOS scheme were acquired at an averaging time of 1 s. The precisions can be further improved to 0.032% and 0.03% at an averaging time of 15 s, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The greenhouse effect resulting from fuel combustion has drawn growing attention, and CO2 emissions from fossil fuel power stations are one of the main sources of greenhouse gases. It is crucial to monitor the concentration of CO2 in the flue gas ducts of these stations. However, pressure and vibration caused by the combustion of boilers make the measurement of CO2 in flue gas ducts extremely challenging. In this study, tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) combined with Wave Modulation Spectroscopy (WMS) was employed to measure the concentration of CO2 under different pressure and vibration conditions in the laboratory. The absorption line of CO2 at the wavenumber 6357.38 cm−1 was recorded under varying pressure conditions ranging from 0 to 1.4 atm, acceleration conditions ranging from 0 to 7.7 m/s2, and a combination of both. Firstly, a negative linear correlation was found between the pressure and the amplitude of the second harmonic, with a maximum relative error of 4.645% observed at a pressure of 1.4 atm. Secondly, the maximum acceleration that the system can withstand was determined to be 7.3 m/s2, as it was not possible to provide a sufficiently low fitting error at higher accelerations. For the combined effects of the pressure and vibration, a dramatic increase in the relative error of amplitude can be observed within the acceleration range of 5.0~6.0 m/s2 while under the pressure conditions of 0.6 atm, 1.0 atm, and 1.4 atm. Moreover, the maximum endurable acceleration decreases with the increase in pressure, which infers that effective measurements can be achieved when the acceleration is below 5 m/s2 within the pressure range of 0~1.4 atm. This suggests that TDLAS combined with WMS possesses a potential for online measuring of CO2 concentrations in flue gas ducts within a certain acceleration range. This work can provide some insights for stable gas detection using TDLAS under varied pressure and vibration conditions.

O WMS, Warehouse Management System (Sistema de Gerenciamento de Armazém), é um software de gestão de estoques muito importante e praticamente indispensável nas organizações, melhorando o controle de toda uma cadeia logística interna, além de grande confiabilidade. O presente artigo aborda o uso do sistema WMS na empresa denominada Delta, e tem como objetivo principal analisar as práticas e mudanças trazidas com a implementação do sistema de gerenciamento de estoques, identificando os principais benefícios e fatores que pesaram na sua implantação. Para aquisição dos dados utilizou-se uma pesquisa exploratória descritiva com 26 colaboradores da empresa que relataram as mudanças a partir do início das operações com o sistema. A partir da entrevista com gestores e coleta de dados, foi possível compreender a relevância desta aplicação sistemática de gerenciamento dentro da organização, principalmente quando se trata do estoque variado de uma metalúrgica, sendo que a grande maioria dos entrevistados e principalmente os gestores afirmaram que o sistema estimulou mudanças significativas nos processos.

The integration and application of a warehouse system and manufacturing system has become a manufacturing problem for enterprises. The main reason is that the information control system based on automation and stereo warehouse is inconsistent with the production and management information system of the enterprise in terms of business, data, functions, etc. Based on this, this paper studies the implementation of an automated warehouse based on the integration of ERP (enterprise resource planning) and WMS (warehouse management system) with the method and technology of the intermediate table. Moreover, MES (manufacturing execution system) is the brain and the core part of a sustainable digital factory. The enterprise adopts advanced intelligent and information technology to build and deploy the MES, realize fine management and agile production, and meet the personalized needs of the market. Therefore, this paper studies the implementation path and effect based on MES from an industrial realization to construct a sustainable digital factory. Accurate modeling of the drainage basin, including its spatial and temporal distribution of hydrological parameters and rainfall-runoff process, is very important in many applications. As an example, design flood estimation in hydraulic structures, which has the main role in the construction cost, is a result of rainfall-runoff simulation. Blockchain network is defined as interconnection of many computers, and each and every computer holds the copy of the ledger. It can be observed as continuously budding chain of blocks, and blocks are interconnected with the support of hash function. Validating of new blocks is followed by a set of protocols and consensus mechanism from every node in the network. The records are kept and arranged in linear fashion chain. The main feature of the Blockchain technology is that it allows secure communication between untrusted parties without the involvement of any third party authority. Artificial intelligence, which emulates the human intelligence, is impacting heavily on the business and social media applications nowadays. Flash floods threaten the lives of people and properties in different regions around the world, especially in arid and semi-arid regions due to infrequent flood events. The current study aims to assess the geomorphological parameters of Wadi Sudr, South Sinai in Egypt to evaluate flash flood risks and provide adequate mitigation methods. This study presents an integrated method that combines geographic information system (GIS) and watershed modeling system (WMS) with HEC-HMS to visualize and assess flood events in the study area. Different morphologic parameters of the watershed were determined, including linear, areal, and relief parameters. GIS was used to analyze the satellite images and determine the characteristics of the valley to get the extension and number of stream orders in the valley, then WMS was used to estimate rainstorms and basin characteristics, as well as estimate the amount of rain that causes flooding. HEC-HMS program was used for hydrological demonstration and precipitation overflow estimation. The morphometric analysis provided a quantitative portrayal of the Wadi Sudr watershed. Wadi Sudr has 4029 streams connected with seventh order of streams spread over an area of 547.45 km2. Based on the results of morphologic and hydraulic parameters of the watershed, two locations of protection dams were suggested. A comparison between the two locations was made to select the best location based on some criteria, including storage capacity, water depth behind the dam, width and shape of the valley, and the area covered by water stored in the reservoir. The comparison between the two locations showed that the first location is more appropriate for dam construction based on the examined criteria. The valley shape in the first location is more regular than in the second. The first location provided higher storage capacity and water depth in front of the dam than the second. The area covered by water and the width of the valley is less than the second. The stability of the dam at the first site could be higher and the cost of construction could cost be less than the second due to these reasons. A comparison was made using the weighted linear combination (WLC) method, which consists of 13 criteria to determine the suitability index (SI) in order to select the best location from the proposed locations. SI proved that the first location is better than the second. The designed dam in the selected site could be cost-efficient to protect the study area from flood risks and harvesting water that can be used in different purposes. Abha city is distinguished by urbanization, infrastructure, deepening watercourses, and changes in runoff flow which encourage flash floods in the urban zones of many villages in the region. AlMahalah village is prone to flash flooding due to its geographic location near the outlet of convergence streams of significant flow. The Geographic Information System (GIS), Remote Sensing (RS), Water Modeling System (WMS), and Hydrologic Engineering Center-Hydrologic Modeling System (HEC-HMS) were used to assess the effects of flash floods on AlMahala village. Precipitation data from 1978 to 2020 was statistically processed and analysed to provide more information about flash flood hazards. With a 3-h lag time in both watersheds, the higher peak discharge in Wadi Abha than in Wadi Al Akkas indicates that flooding was a primary concern in Wadi Abha. With an average yearly rainfall of 520 mm, the hydrograph simulation from 1 to 5 April 2020 would contribute to the junction (outlet) point of AlMahala village with a peak discharge rate of 474.14 m3/s. The vegetation cover increased by 243 km2 in 2020 compared to 2016. The HEC-RAS model was used to calculate the water depth, velocity, and elevation of the water surface with and without dam installation. Background: With the continuing growth of warehouses globally, there is an increasing need for sustainable logistics solutions in warehousing, but research linking warehouse management systems (WMS) and sustainability is lacking. Methods: A systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis were conducted in Scopus and Web of Science databases from 2006 to 2022 to investigate academic knowledge of WMS contributing to warehouses’ social and environmental sustainability. Results: Findings revealed only 12 topic-relevant articles from 2013 to 2022, primarily published recently. More recent articles have received more citations than earlier published works. The articles were from multiple research fields, such as business economics, engineering, computer science, and social sciences, with only one article on environmentally sustainable technologies. The top keywords were “warehouse management system”, “internet of things”, “industry 4.0” and “supply chain”. Only six articles had environmental sustainability terms in the keywords. Findings show more discussions about social rather than environmental sustainability. Most studies suggest integrating WMS with other systems to support sustainability efforts in warehousing. Conclusions: The study addressed a gap in academic literature regarding WMS and sustainability. Research findings added knowledge of practical activities to achieve warehouse operations and performance sustainability and proactively reduce warehouse operations’ environmental and social impacts.

• CO concentration was detected with WMS-TDLAS technology. • The CNN-LSTM-Attention concentration inversion model was established. • The model input increased the mean data of segments in the crest interval. • Moving average filter is employed to reduce the collected data noise. In order to improve the accuracy of detecting CO and other gases in the industrial field, a CO concentration detection scheme based on tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) and the CO absorption spectral line at 1566 nm was proposed. At the outset, after removing the outliers from the original data, the harmonic signal is filtered using a moving average filtering method to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio. Subsequently, a one-dimensional convolutional neural network (1D-CNN) is employed to extract the peak and valley values, as well as the mean values of each segment of harmonic data. In the end, the Long short term memory network (LSTM) model establishes a nonlinear fitting relationship between gas characteristics and concentration, and the attention layer is added to further optimize the network weight parameters. The experimental results indicate that the R2 for the test set is 0.9884, and the RMSE is 156.869. Through Allan deviation analysis, the detection limit reaches 1.9605 ppm at an integration time of 60 s. Compared to the traditional regression model, the accuracy and stability are significantly improved, making it highly suitable for gas detection in the industrial circle. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
