In this study, we begin by revisiting the oscillatory behavior of radiative quantities-energy, angular momentum, and linear momentum-linked with initial eccentricities in binary black hole (BBH) mergers. By varying the mean anomaly $l_0$ across the parameter range $[0,2\pi]$ from a post-Newtonian perspective, we establish an envelope that encapsulates the oscillations of these radiative quantities. Our analysis reveals that while the oscillations are influenced by the specific initial condition $l_0$, the effect of eccentricity contributes to the formation of this envelope. Subsequently, we model dynamical quantities such as peak luminosity $L_{\text{peak}}$, remnant mass $M_{\text{rem}}$, spin $\alpha_{\text{rem}}$, and recoil velocity $V_{\text{rem}}$ in circular orbits. Through polynomial modeling, we explore their relationships with mass ratios and correlations. Our results demonstrate the effectiveness of these polynomials in capturing the intricate relationships and correlations among these quantities in circular orbits. Furthermore, we synthesize and analyze dynamical quantities for both circular and eccentric orbits, revealing continuous variations within specific ranges corresponding to distinct mass ratios. These variations are influenced by continuous changes in initial eccentricity and the associated envelope, which can be extrapolated to encompass other mass ratios. By interpolating the maximum and minimum values of these dynamical quantities, we unveil considerably broad domains relative to circular orbits in both orbital and non-orbital BBH mergers. These domains provide robust constraints on the relationships between dynamical quantities, mass ratios, and their correlations. 3D semantic segmentation is one of the most crucial tasks in driving perception. The ability of a learning-based model to accurately perceive dense 3D surroundings often ensures the safe operation of autonomous vehicles. However, existing LiDAR-based 3D semantic segmentation databases consist of sequentially acquired LiDAR scans that are long-tailed and lack training diversity. In this report, we introduce MixSeg3D, a sophisticated combination of the strong point cloud segmentation model with advanced 3D data mixing strategies. Specifically, our approach integrates the MinkUNet family with LaserMix and PolarMix, two scene-scale data augmentation methods that blend LiDAR point clouds along the ego-scene's inclination and azimuth directions. Through empirical experiments, we demonstrate the superiority of MixSeg3D over the baseline and prior arts. Ring artifacts are prevalent in 3D cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) due to non-ideal responses of X-ray detectors, severely degrading imaging quality and reliability. Current state-of-the-art (SOTA) ring artifact reduction (RAR) algorithms rely on extensive paired CT samples for supervised learning. While effective, these methods do not fully capture the physical characteristics of ring artifacts, leading to pronounced performance drops when applied to out-of-domain data. Moreover, their applications to 3D CBCT are limited by high memory demands. In this work, we introduce \textbf{Riner}, an unsupervised method formulating 3D CBCT RAR as a multi-parameter inverse problem. Our core innovation is parameterizing the X-ray detector responses as solvable variables within a differential physical model. By jointly optimizing a neural field to represent artifact-free CT images and estimating response parameters directly from raw measurements, Riner eliminates the need for external training data. Moreover, it accommodates diverse CT geometries, enhancing practical usability. Postselected weak measurement has shown significant potential for detecting small physical effects due to its unique weak-value-amplification phenomenon. Previous works suggest that Heisenberg-limit precision can be attained using only the optical coherent states. However, the measurement object is the distribution of postselection, limiting the practical applicability. Here, we demonstrate that the output photons can also reach the quantum scale by utilizing the Fisher information transfer effect. In addition, we consider the insertion of a power-recycling cavity and demonstrate its positive impact on the distribution of postselection. We analyze 192 sets of binary black hole merger data in eccentric orbits obtained from RIT, decomposing the radiation energy into three distinct phases through time: inspiral, late inspiral to merger, and ringdown. Our investigation reveals a universal oscillatory behavior in radiation energy across these phases, influenced by varying initial eccentricities. From a post-Newtonian perspective, we compare the orbital average of radiation energy with the non-orbital average during the inspiral phase. Our findings indicate that the oscillatory patterns arise from non-orbital average effects, which disappear when orbital averaging is applied. This orbital effect significantly impacts the mass, spin, and recoil velocity of the merger remnant, with its influence increasing as the initial eccentricity rises. Specifically, in the post-Newtonian framework, the amplitudes of oscillations for mass, spin, and recoil velocity at ${e_t}_0 = 0.5$ (initial temporal eccentricity of PN) are enhanced by approximately 10, 5, and 7 times, respectively, compared to those at ${e_t}_0 = 0.1$. For a circular orbit, where ${e_t}_0 = 0.0$, the oscillations vanish entirely. Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is the most fatal subtype of stroke and is characterized by a high incidence of disability. Accurate segmentation of the ICH region and prognosis prediction are critically important for developing and refining treatment plans for post-ICH patients. However, existing approaches address these two tasks independently and predominantly focus on imaging data alone, thereby neglecting the intrinsic correlation between the tasks and modalities. This paper introduces a multi-task network, ICH-SCNet, designed for both ICH segmentation and prognosis classification. Specifically, we integrate a SAM-CLIP cross-modal interaction mechanism that combines medical text and segmentation auxiliary information with neuroimaging data to enhance cross-modal feature recognition. Additionally, we develop an effective feature fusion module and a multi-task loss function to improve performance further. Extensive experiments on an ICH dataset reveal that our approach surpasses other state-of-the-art methods. This study presents a thorough comparative analysis between post-Newtonian (PN) and numerically relativistic (NR) waveforms in eccentric orbits, covering nonspinning and spin-aligned configurations. The comparison examines frequency, amplitude, and phase characteristics of various harmonic modes, such as 22, 21, 33, 32, 44, 43, and 55 modes. The study utilizes eccentric PN waveforms based on 3PN quasi-Keplerian parameterization with 3PN radiative reaction, surpassing Newtonian quadrupole moment with higher-order moments. NR waveforms from RIT and SXS catalogs span mass ratios from 1/4 to 1, eccentricities up to 0.45, and durations exceeding $17000M$ across nonspinning and spin-aligned configurations. Focusing on the 22 mode, frequency comparisons between quadrupole and higher-order moments of $\Psi_4^{22}$ and $h^{22}$ were conducted. Amplitude comparisons revealed superior accuracy in quadrupole moments of $\Psi_4^{22}$. Analysis of total 180 sets of eccentric waveforms showed increasing fitting residuals with rising eccentricity, correlating with smaller mass ratios. Comparisons of initial eccentricity from PN fitting, 3PN quasi-Keplerian parameterization, and RIT/SXS catalogs revealed alignment discrepancies. Motion correction (MoCo) in radial MRI is a challenging problem due to the unpredictability of subject's motion. Current state-of-the-art (SOTA) MoCo algorithms often use extensive high-quality MR images to pre-train neural networks, obtaining excellent reconstructions. However, the need for large-scale datasets significantly increases costs and limits model generalization. In this work, we propose Moner, an unsupervised MoCo method that jointly solves artifact-free MR images and accurate motion from undersampled, rigid motion-corrupted k-space data, without requiring training data. Our core idea is to leverage the continuous prior of implicit neural representation (INR) to constrain this ill-posed inverse problem, enabling ideal solutions. Specifically, we incorporate a quasi-static motion model into the INR, granting its ability to correct subject's motion. To stabilize model optimization, we reformulate radial MRI as a back-projection problem using the Fourier-slice theorem. Additionally, we propose a novel coarse-to-fine hash encoding strategy, significantly enhancing MoCo accuracy. Experiments on multiple MRI datasets show our Moner achieves performance comparable to SOTA MoCo techniques on in-domain data, while demonstrating significant improvements on out-of-domain data. Thermoelectric materials can be designed to support optical resonances across multiple spectral ranges to enable ultra-wide band photodetection. For instance, antimony telluride (Sb2Te3) chalcogenide exhibits interband plasmonic resonances in the visible range and Mie resonances in the mid-infrared (mid-IR) range, while simultaneously possessing large thermoelectric Seebeck coefficients. In this paper, we designed and fabricated Sb2Te3 metasurface devices to achieve resonant absorption for enabling photodetectors operating across an ultra-wideband spectrum, from visible to mid-IR. Furthermore, relying on asymmetric Sb2Te3 metasurface, we demonstrated the thermoelectric photodetectors with polarization-selectivity. This work provides a potential platform towards the portable ultrawide band spectrometers at room temperature, for environmental sensing applications.

High-quality imaging in photoacoustic computed tomography (PACT) usually requires a high-channel count system for dense spatial sampling around the object to avoid aliasing-related artefacts. To reduce system complexity, various image reconstruction approaches, such as model-based (MB) and deep learning based methods, have been explored to mitigate the artefacts associated with sparse-view acquisition. However, the explored methods formulated the reconstruction problem in a discrete framework, making it prone to measurement errors, discretization errors, and the extend of the ill-poseness of the problem scales with the discretization resolution. In this work, an implicit neural representation (INR) framework is proposed for image reconstruction in PACT with ring transducer arrays to address these issues. pecially, the initial heat distribution is represented as a continuous function of spatial coordinates using a multi-layer perceptron (MLP). The weights of the MLP are then determined by a training process in a self-supervised manner, by minimizing the errors between the measured and model predicted PA signals. After training, PA images can be mapped by feeding the coordinates to the network. Ultra-Wide-Field Fluorescein Angiography (UWF-FA) enables precise identification of ocular diseases using sodium fluorescein, which can be potentially harmful. Existing research has developed methods to generate UWF-FA from Ultra-Wide-Field Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscopy (UWF-SLO) to reduce the adverse reactions associated with injections. However, these methods have been less effective in producing high-quality late-phase UWF-FA, particularly in lesion areas and fine details. Two primary challenges hinder the generation of high-quality late-phase UWF-FA: the scarcity of paired UWF-SLO and early/late-phase UWF-FA datasets, and the need for realistic generation at lesion sites and potential blood leakage regions. This study introduces an improved latent diffusion model framework to generate high-quality late-phase UWF-FA from limited paired UWF images. To address the challenges as mentioned earlier, our approach employs a module utilizing Cross-temporal Regional Difference Loss, which encourages the model to focus on the differences between early and late phases. Additionally, we introduce a low-frequency enhanced noise strategy in the diffusion forward process to improve the realism of medical images. To further enhance the mapping capability of the variational autoencoder module, especially with limited datasets, we implement a Gated Convolutional Encoder to extract additional information from conditional images. Our Latent Diffusion Model for Ultra-Wide-Field Late-Phase Fluorescein Angiography (LPUWF-LDM) effectively reconstructs fine details in late-phase UWF-FA and achieves state-of-the-art results compared to other existing methods when working with limited datasets. Medical image datasets in the real world are often unlabeled and imbalanced, and Semi-Supervised Object Detection (SSOD) can utilize unlabeled data to improve an object detector. However, existing approaches predominantly assumed that the unlabeled data and test data do not contain out-of-distribution (OOD) classes. The few open-set semi-supervised object detection methods have two weaknesses: first, the class imbalance is not considered; second, the OOD instances are distinguished and simply discarded during pseudo-labeling. In this paper, we consider the open-set semi-supervised object detection problem which leverages unlabeled data that contain OOD classes to improve object detection for medical images. Our study incorporates two key innovations: Category Control Embed (CCE) and out-of-distribution Detection Fusion Classifier (OODFC). CCE is designed to tackle dataset imbalance by constructing a Foreground information Library, while OODFC tackles open-set challenges by integrating the ``unknown'' information into basic pseudo-labels. Our method outperforms the state-of-the-art SSOD performance, achieving a 4.25 mAP improvement on the public Parasite dataset.

Attributed graph clustering, which aims to group the nodes of an attributed graph into disjoint clusters, has made promising advancements in recent years. However, most existing methods face challenges when applied to large graphs due to the expensive computational cost and high memory usage. In this paper, we introduce Scalable and Adaptive Spectral Embedding (SASE), a simple attributed graph clustering method devoid of parameter learning. SASE comprises three main components: node features smoothing via $k$-order simple graph convolution, scalable spectral clustering using random Fourier features, and adaptive order selection. With these designs, SASE not only effectively captures global cluster structures but also exhibits linear time and space complexity relative to the graph size. Empirical results demonstrate the superiority of SASE. Binary Neural Networks~(BNNs) have been proven to be highly effective for deploying deep neural networks on mobile and embedded platforms. Most existing works focus on minimizing quantization errors, improving representation ability, or designing gradient approximations to alleviate gradient mismatch in BNNs, while leaving the weight sign flipping, a critical factor for achieving powerful BNNs, untouched. In this paper, we investigate the efficiency of weight sign updates in BNNs. We observe that, for vanilla BNNs, over 50\% of the weights remain their signs unchanged during training, and these weights are not only distributed at the tails of the weight distribution but also universally present in the vicinity of zero. We refer to these weights as ``silent weights'', which slow down convergence and lead to a significant accuracy degradation. Theoretically, we reveal this is due to the independence of the BNNs gradient from the latent weight distribution. To address the issue, we propose Overcome Silent Weights~(OvSW). OvSW first employs Adaptive Gradient Scaling~(AGS) to establish a relationship between the gradient and the latent weight distribution, thereby improving the overall efficiency of weight sign updates. Additionally, we design Silence Awareness Decaying~(SAD) to automatically identify ``silent weights'' by tracking weight flipping state, and apply an additional penalty to ``silent weights'' to facilitate their flipping. By efficiently updating weight signs, our method achieves faster convergence and state-of-the-art performance on CIFAR10 and ImageNet1K dataset with various architectures. For example, OvSW obtains 61.6\% and 65.5\% top-1 accuracy on the ImageNet1K using binarized ResNet18 and ResNet34 architecture respectively. Photoacoustic tomography is a hybrid biomedical technology, which combines the advantages of acoustic and optical imaging. However, for the conventional image reconstruction method, the image quality is affected obviously by artifacts under the condition of sparse sampling. in this paper, a novel model-based sparse reconstruction method via implicit neural representation was proposed for improving the image quality reconstructed from sparse data. Specially, the initial acoustic pressure distribution was modeled as a continuous function of spatial coordinates, and parameterized by a multi-layer perceptron. The weights of multi-layer perceptron were determined by training the network in self-supervised manner. And the total variation regularization term was used to offer the prior knowledge. We compared our result with some ablation studies, and the results show that out method outperforms existing methods on simulation and experimental data. Under the sparse sampling condition, our method can suppress the artifacts and avoid the ill-posed problem effectively, which reconstruct images with higher signal-to-noise ratio and contrast-to-noise ratio than traditional methods. The high-quality results for sparse data make the proposed method hold the potential for further decreasing the hardware cost of photoacoustic tomography system.

Weak measurement has garnered widespread interest for its ability to amplify small physical effects at the cost of low detection probabilities. Previous entanglement and recycling techniques enhance postselection efficiency and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of weak measurement from distinct perspectives. Here, we incorporate a power recycling cavity into the entanglement-assisted weak measurement system. We obtain an improvement of both detection efficiency and Fisher information, and find that the improvement from entanglement and recycling occur in different dimensions. Furthermore, we analyze two types of errors, walk-off errors and readout errors. The conclusions suggest that entanglement exacerbates the walk-off effect caused by recycling, but this detriment can be balanced by proper parameter selection. In addition, power-recycling can complement entanglement in suppressing readout noise, thus enhancing the accuracy in the measurement results and recovering the lost Fisher information. X-ray CT often suffers from shadowing and streaking artifacts in the presence of metallic materials, which severely degrade imaging quality. Physically, the linear attenuation coefficients (LACs) of metals vary significantly with X-ray energy, causing a nonlinear beam hardening effect (BHE) in CT measurements. Reconstructing CT images from metal-corrupted measurements consequently becomes a challenging nonlinear inverse problem. Existing state-of-the-art (SOTA) metal artifact reduction (MAR) algorithms rely on supervised learning with numerous paired CT samples. While promising, these supervised methods often assume that the unknown LACs are energy-independent, ignoring the energy-induced BHE, which results in limited generalization. Moreover, the requirement for large datasets also limits their applications in real-world scenarios. In this work, we propose Density neural representation (Diner), a novel unsupervised MAR method. Our key innovation lies in formulating MAR as an energy-independent density reconstruction problem that strictly adheres to the photon-tissue absorption physical model. This model is inherently nonlinear and complex, making it a rarely considered approach in inverse imaging problems. By introducing the water-equivalent tissues approximation and a new polychromatic model to characterize the nonlinear CT acquisition process, we directly learn the neural representation of the density map from raw measurements without using external training data. This energy-independent density reconstruction framework fundamentally resolves the nonlinear BHE, enabling superior MAR performance across a wide range of scanning scenarios. Limited-angle and sparse-view computed tomography (LACT and SVCT) are crucial for expanding the scope of X-ray CT applications. However, they face challenges due to incomplete data acquisition, resulting in diverse artifacts in the reconstructed CT images. Emerging implicit neural representation (INR) techniques, such as NeRF, NeAT, and NeRP, have shown promise in under-determined CT imaging reconstruction tasks. However, the unsupervised nature of INR architecture imposes limited constraints on the solution space, particularly for the highly ill-posed reconstruction task posed by LACT and ultra-SVCT. In this study, we introduce the Diffusion Prior Driven Neural Representation (DPER), an advanced unsupervised framework designed to address the exceptionally ill-posed CT reconstruction inverse problems. DPER adopts the Half Quadratic Splitting (HQS) algorithm to decompose the inverse problem into data fidelity and distribution prior sub-problems. The two sub-problems are respectively addressed by INR reconstruction scheme and pre-trained score-based diffusion model. This combination first injects the implicit image local consistency prior from INR. Additionally, it effectively augments the feasibility of the solution space for the inverse problem through the generative diffusion model, resulting in increased stability and precision in the solutions. We conduct comprehensive experiments to evaluate the performance of DPER on LACT and ultra-SVCT reconstruction with two public datasets (AAPM and LIDC), an in-house clinical COVID-19 dataset and a public raw projection dataset created by Mayo Clinic. The results show that our method outperforms the state-of-the-art reconstruction methods on in-domain datasets, while achieving significant performance improvements on out-of-domain (OOD) datasets., Comment: 16 pages, 11 figures
