Abstract

2017年6月に実施された南硫黄島の学術調査隊において、初の本格的な土壌動物調査を行なった。ハンドソーティング法とツルグレン法を用いた調査を行い、これまでに5綱15目25科57種が確認されているが、このうちの多くの分類群の分類学的検討はこれからである。今回の調査で初めて発見されたものも多く、目レベルではカニムシ目やナガミミズ目の発見があった。種レベルでは、甲虫目コケムシ亜科の一種は属レベルで新発見の分類群と考えられ、他にもヒメマキムシ科の一種で後翅の退化した未記載の固有種と考えられるものが見つかっている。群集レベルでは小笠原諸島と比較すると、陸生等脚類の割合が著しく低く、ヨコエビ目の不在や、ヤスデ目の種多様性の低さが注目される。本島の大型土壌動物は種レベルでの固有種の存在があり、群集としても構成される分類群に偏りが強く、種多様性は低いものの小笠原諸島とは異なる特性を持つ特殊なものであることが明らかとなった。, In June 2017, we conducted the first intensive soil fauna survey on Minami-Iwo-To Island. Using the hand sorting method and a Tullgren funnel, we have so far found 57 species belonging to 25 families, 15 orders, and 5 classes, with ongoing species identification still being performed in many of these taxa. Many taxa were discovered for the first time in this survey. Pseudoscorpiones and Haploxenida were new records on the order level from this island. We found unique and endemic species of Scydmaenid beetles and Lathridid beetles. At the community level, compared to the Ogasawara Archipelago, the ratio of terrestrial isopods was low, amphipods were absent, and the species diversity of diplopods was low. The taxa of soil macrofauna on this island were strongly biased, with low species diversity compared to macrofauna in the Ogasawara archipelago.

Abstract

The electrical potential distribution of a soil during electrokinetic remediation treatment and major ion concentrations in the pore water were modified to discover the impact of pore water chemistry on the removal rate of contaminants. Electrokinetic remediation, which is a technology that was developed for contaminant removal from soils and sediments, has advantages over other techniques because it can be practiced both in principal and in situ.

27. Behavior of Major Cations in a Laboratory Column Experiment under Redox Condition

Abstract

In order to make clear the transformation mechanism of chemical species in pore water under reducing condition, a column experiment which reproduced redox condition, was carried out. The upper part of the column was filled with the soil taken from the paddy field and the lower of the column was filled in the quartz sand and glass beads. The major findings of experimental results are as follows:ORP(Oxidation Reduction Potential) decreased for first ten days after the beginning of this experiment, thereafter, showed a constant value. Mn2+ and Fe2+ which were dissolved under reducing condition caused the cation exchange reaction to the other cations. When Mn2+ and Fe2+ reached an oxidized layer(quartz sand and glass beads layer), they were reprecipitated as Mn-, Fe-hydrous oxides. It was assumed that high concentrations of Mn2+, Fe2+ in pore water at depth of 35, 45cm were appeared due to the movement of soil particle and anaerobic bacteria from plow layer to quartz sand layer and the absence of exchangeable sites.
