We recorded weekly blood glucose levels and body weight for each mouse. After the completion of the feeding cycle, the 16S rRNA of the intestinal flora in the mice was sequenced, and the insulin and C-peptide levels in each group of mice were measured. Four samples were taken from each group for liver and kidney section staining.Results: Our results showed that gut microbiota diversity and function were significantly different between the diabetic mice and healthy mice and that insulin levels, body weight, and blood glucose levels could significantly influence gut microbiota changes at the genus level. The gut microbiota diversity and function of db/db mice were also altered after salidroside administration. Salidroside could attenuate inflammatory damage, lipid accumulation and inflammatory changes in the diabetic liver, as well as diabetic kidney damage. Candidatus arthromitus and Odoribacter are important species of the microbiota during diabetes and may serve as potential therapeutic targets.Conclusion: Our investigation of the associated pathological conditions and fecal microbiota in db/db mice provides new insights into the pathogenesis of T2DM and provides implications for the diagnosis and treatment of T2DM.Keywords: salidroside, db/db mice, T2DM, intestinal microbiota

The 74Ge( p , γ )75As reaction plays a crucial role in producing the lightest p-nucleus 74Se. In this work, we present the measurement of the 74Ge( p , γ )75As cross sections in the range of E p = 1.4-2.8 MeV with an in-beam method at the tandem accelerator of China Institute of Atomic Energy. The present result is in good agreement with the previous experiments at higher energies, and extends the measurement down to lower energies of astrophysical interest. Theoretical calculations are also performed using the EMPIRE nuclear reaction code and well reproduce all experimental cross sections, which shed some light on the existing discrepancy in the previously reported experimental and theoretical values at the lowest energies. The resulting reaction rates exhibit a considerable increase of up to 47% within the p-process relevant temperatures when comparing with the REACLIB compilation.

The 74Ge( p , γ )75As reaction is believed to have a strong effect on the production of the lightest p-nucleus 74Se. The 74Ge( p , γ )75As reaction cross sections were measured in the range of E p = 2.5-4.3 MeV with an in-beam γ spectroscopy method at the 3 MV tandem accelerator of the Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology, Sichuan University. The experimental results show good agreement with previous works, and extend the measurements to the widest energies to date combined with our latest work at the 1.7 MV tandem accelerator of China Institute of Atomic Energy. Our new cross sections are compared with theoretical predictions using the TALYS and EMPIRE nuclear reaction codes. The EMPIRE-EGSM calculation presents the best description of all the experimental data, and was used to derive the reaction rates. The present rates are significantly higher than the REACLIB compilation by a factor of up to 47% within the p-process relevant temperatures.

High energy γ-ray can be used in many fields, such as nuclear resonant fluorescence, nuclear medicine imaging. One of the methods to generate high-energy γ-ray is nuclear resonant reaction. The 19F (p,αγ) 16O reaction was used to generate 6.13-MeV γ-ray in this work. The angular distribution of 6.13-MeV γ-ray was measured by six LaBr3 detectors. The thick-target yield curve of 6.13-MeV γ-ray had been measured. The maximum yield was determined to be (1.85 ± 0.01) × 10−8 γ/proton, which was measured by HPGe detector and LaBr3 detector. The absolute efficiency of all the detectors was calibrated using 60 Co and 27Al (p,γ) 28Si reaction at E p = 992 keV. The cross section and total resonant width of the reaction were determined to be 95.1±1.0 mb (1 b = 10−24 cm2) and Γ CM = 2.21±0.22 keV, respectively.

The2H(d,p)3H reaction is one of the most crucial reactions in the Big Bang nucleosynthesis (BBN). It is of particular interest to investigate this kind of reactions in plasma environments, generated by high intensity lasers, which are similar to real astrophysical conditions. We have experimentally investigated the2H(d,p)3H reaction using laser-driven counter-streaming collisionless plasmas at the Shenguang-II laser facility. CR-39 track detectors are widely employed as the main diagnostics in such experiments and laser-driven ion acceleration. In this work, we performed calibration of CR-39 track detectors with monoenergetic protons from the tandem accelerator, and then presented their track diameters for proton energies ranging from 300 keV to 2.5 MeV and for etching times between 4 and 28 hours. In addition, we recommended the optimal etching time at the typical etching conditions, which will be very useful for the following massive data analysis from the CR-39 detectors.
