Recently, text-guided scalable vector graphics (SVG) synthesis has demonstrated significant potential in domains such as iconography and sketching. However, SVGs generated from existing Text-to-SVG methods often lack editability and exhibit deficiencies in visual quality and diversity. In this paper, we propose a novel text-guided vector graphics synthesis method to address these limitations. To enhance the editability of output SVGs, we introduce a Hierarchical Image VEctorization (HIVE) framework that operates at the semantic object level and supervises the optimization of components within the vector object. This approach facilitates the decoupling of vector graphics into distinct objects and component levels. Our proposed HIVE algorithm, informed by image segmentation priors, not only ensures a more precise representation of vector graphics but also enables fine-grained editing capabilities within vector objects. To improve the diversity of output SVGs, we present a Vectorized Particle-based Score Distillation (VPSD) approach. VPSD addresses over-saturation issues in existing methods and enhances sample diversity. A pre-trained reward model is incorporated to re-weight vector particles, improving aesthetic appeal and enabling faster convergence. Additionally, we design a novel adaptive vector primitives control strategy, which allows for the dynamic adjustment of the number of primitives, thereby enhancing the presentation of graphic details. Extensive experiments validate the effectiveness of the proposed method, demonstrating its superiority over baseline methods in terms of editability, visual quality, and diversity. We also show that our new method supports up to six distinct vector styles, capable of generating high-quality vector assets suitable for stylized vector design and poster design. Pretraining methods gain increasing attraction recently for solving PDEs with neural operators. It alleviates the data scarcity problem encountered by neural operator learning when solving single PDE via training on large-scale datasets consisting of various PDEs and utilizing shared patterns among different PDEs to improve the solution precision. In this work, we propose the Latent Neural Operator Pretraining (LNOP) framework based on the Latent Neural Operator (LNO) backbone. We achieve universal transformation through pretraining on hybrid time-dependent PDE dataset to extract representations of different physical systems and solve various time-dependent PDEs in the latent space through finetuning on single PDE dataset. Our proposed LNOP framework reduces the solution error by 31.7% on four problems and can be further improved to 57.1% after finetuning. On out-of-distribution dataset, our LNOP model achieves roughly 50% lower error and 3$\times$ data efficiency on average across different dataset sizes. These results show that our method is more competitive in terms of solution precision, transfer capability and data efficiency compared to non-pretrained neural operators.

Recent years have seen substantial progress in diffusion-based controllable video generation. However, achieving precise control in complex scenarios, including fine-grained object parts, sophisticated motion trajectories, and coherent background movement, remains a challenge. In this paper, we introduce TrackGo, a novel approach that leverages free-form masks and arrows for conditional video generation. This method offers users with a flexible and precise mechanism for manipulating video content. We also propose the TrackAdapter for control implementation, an efficient and lightweight adapter designed to be seamlessly integrated into the temporal self-attention layers of a pretrained video generation model. This design leverages our observation that the attention map of these layers can accurately activate regions corresponding to motion in videos. This letter presents a high-dimensional analysis of the training dynamics for a single-layer nonlinear contrastive learning model. The empirical distribution of the model weights converges to a deterministic measure governed by a McKean-Vlasov nonlinear partial differential equation (PDE). Under L2 regularization, this PDE reduces to a closed set of low-dimensional ordinary differential equations (ODEs), reflecting the evolution of the model performance during the training process. We analyze the fixed point locations and their stability of the ODEs unveiling several interesting findings. First, only the hidden variable's second moment affects feature learnability at the state with uninformative initialization. Second, higher moments influence the probability of feature selection by controlling the attraction region, rather than affecting local stability. Finally, independent noises added in the data argumentation degrade performance but negatively correlated noise can reduces the variance of gradient estimation yielding better performance. Despite of the simplicity of the analyzed model, it exhibits a rich phenomena of training dynamics, paving a way to understand more complex mechanism behind practical large models., Comment: 21 pages, 11 figures

Neural operators effectively solve PDE problems from data without knowing the explicit equations, which learn the map from the input sequences of observed samples to the predicted values. Most existing works build the model in the original geometric space, leading to high computational costs when the number of sample points is large. We present the Latent Neural Operator (LNO) solving PDEs in the latent space. In particular, we first propose Physics-Cross-Attention (PhCA) transforming representation from the geometric space to the latent space, then learn the operator in the latent space, and finally recover the real-world geometric space via the inverse PhCA map. Our model retains flexibility that can decode values in any position not limited to locations defined in the training set, and therefore can naturally perform interpolation and extrapolation tasks particularly useful for inverse problems. Moreover, the proposed LNO improves both prediction accuracy and computational efficiency. Experiments show that LNO reduces the GPU memory by 50%, speeds up training 1.8 times, and reaches state-of-the-art accuracy on four out of six benchmarks for forward problems and a benchmark for inverse problem. Assembling a slave object into a fixture-free master object represents a critical challenge in flexible manufacturing. Existing deep reinforcement learning-based methods, while benefiting from visual or operational priors, often struggle with small-batch precise assembly tasks due to their reliance on insufficient priors and high-costed model development. To address these limitations, this paper introduces a cognitive manipulation and learning approach that utilizes skill graphs to integrate learning-based object detection with fine manipulation models into a cohesive modular policy. This approach enables the detection of the master object from both global and local perspectives to accommodate positional uncertainties and variable backgrounds, and parametric residual policy to handle pose error and intricate contact dynamics effectively. Leveraging the skill graph, our method supports knowledge-informed learning of semi-supervised learning for object detection and classroom-to-real reinforcement learning for fine manipulation. Simulation experiments on a gear-assembly task have demonstrated that the skill-graph-enabled coarse-operation planning and visual attention are essential for efficient learning and robust manipulation, showing substantial improvements of 13$\%$ in success rate and 15.4$\%$ in number of completion steps over competing methods. Graph matching is a fundamental tool in computer vision and pattern recognition. In this paper, we introduce an algorithm for graph matching based on the proximal operator, referred to as differentiable proximal graph matching (DPGM). Specifically, we relax and decompose the quadratic assignment problem for the graph matching into a sequence of convex optimization problems. The whole algorithm can be considered as a differentiable map from the graph affinity matrix to the prediction of node correspondence. Therefore, the proposed method can be organically integrated into an end-to-end deep learning framework to jointly learn both the deep feature representation and the graph affinity matrix. In addition, we provide a theoretical guarantee to ensure the proposed method converges to a stable point with a reasonable number of iterations. Numerical experiments show that PGM outperforms existing graph matching algorithms on diverse datasets such as synthetic data, and CMU House. Meanwhile, PGM can fully harness the capability of deep feature extractors and achieve state-of-art performance on PASCAL VOC keypoints.

As AI Agents based on Large Language Models (LLMs) have shown potential in practical applications across various fields, how to quickly deploy an AI agent and how to conveniently expand the application scenario of AI agents has become a challenge. Previous studies mainly focused on implementing all the reasoning capabilities of AI agents within a single LLM, which often makes the model more complex and also reduces the extensibility of AI agent functionality. In this paper, we propose CACA Agent (Capability Collaboration based AI Agent), using an open architecture inspired by service computing. CACA Agent integrates a set of collaborative capabilities to implement AI Agents, not only reducing the dependence on a single LLM, but also enhancing the extensibility of both the planning abilities and the tools available to AI agents. Graph matching is a commonly used technique in computer vision and pattern recognition. Recent data-driven approaches have improved the graph matching accuracy remarkably, whereas some traditional algorithm-based methods are more robust to feature noises, outlier nodes, and global transformation (e.g.~rotation). In this paper, we propose a graph neural network (GNN) based approach to combine the advantages of data-driven and traditional methods. In the GNN framework, we transform traditional graph-matching solvers as single-channel GNNs on the association graph and extend the single-channel architecture to the multi-channel network. The proposed model can be seen as an ensemble method that fuses multiple algorithms at every iteration. Instead of averaging the estimates at the end of the ensemble, in our approach, the independent iterations of the ensembled algorithms exchange their information after each iteration via a 1x1 channel-wise convolution layer. Experiments show that our model improves the performance of traditional algorithms significantly. In addition, we propose a random sampling strategy to reduce the computational complexity and GPU memory usage, so the model applies to matching graphs with thousands of nodes. We evaluate the performance of our method on three tasks: geometric graph matching, semantic feature matching, and few-shot 3D shape classification. In order to solve the problems of long training time, large consumption of computing resources and huge parameter amount of GAN network in image generation, this paper proposes an improved GAN network model, which is named Faster Projected GAN, based on Projected GAN. The proposed network is mainly focuses on the improvement of generator of Projected GAN. By introducing depth separable convolution (DSC), the number of parameters of the Projected GAN is reduced, the training speed is accelerated, and memory is saved. Experimental results show that on ffhq-1k, art-painting, Landscape and other few-shot image datasets, a 20% speed increase and a 15% memory saving are achieved. At the same time, FID loss is less or no loss, and the amount of model parameters is better controlled. Recently, text-guided scalable vector graphics (SVGs) synthesis has shown promise in domains such as iconography and sketch. However, existing text-to-SVG generation methods lack editability and struggle with visual quality and result diversity. To address these limitations, we propose a novel text-guided vector graphics synthesis method called SVGDreamer. SVGDreamer incorporates a semantic-driven image vectorization (SIVE) process that enables the decomposition of synthesis into foreground objects and background, thereby enhancing editability. Specifically, the SIVE process introduces attention-based primitive control and an attention-mask loss function for effective control and manipulation of individual elements. Additionally, we propose a Vectorized Particle-based Score Distillation (VPSD) approach to address issues of shape over-smoothing, color over-saturation, limited diversity, and slow convergence of the existing text-to-SVG generation methods by modeling SVGs as distributions of control points and colors. Furthermore, VPSD leverages a reward model to re-weight vector particles, which improves aesthetic appeal and accelerates convergence. Extensive experiments are conducted to validate the effectiveness of SVGDreamer, demonstrating its superiority over baseline methods in terms of editability, visual quality, and diversity. Exemplar-based sketch-to-photo synthesis allows users to generate photo-realistic images based on sketches. Recently, diffusion-based methods have achieved impressive performance on image generation tasks, enabling highly-flexible control through text-driven generation or energy functions. However, generating photo-realistic images with color and texture from sketch images remains challenging for diffusion models. Sketches typically consist of only a few strokes, with most regions left blank, making it difficult for diffusion-based methods to produce photo-realistic images. In this work, we propose a two-stage method named ``Inversion-by-Inversion" for exemplar-based sketch-to-photo synthesis. This approach includes shape-enhancing inversion and full-control inversion. During the shape-enhancing inversion process, an uncolored photo is generated with the guidance of a shape-energy function. This step is essential to ensure control over the shape of the generated photo. In the full-control inversion process, we propose an appearance-energy function to control the color and texture of the final generated photo.Importantly, our Inversion-by-Inversion pipeline is training-free and can accept different types of exemplars for color and texture control. We conducted extensive experiments to evaluate our proposed method, and the results demonstrate its effectiveness. Deep Neural Network (DNN) has achieved great success on datasets of closed class set. However, new classes, like new categories of social media topics, are continuously added to the real world, making it necessary to incrementally learn. This is hard for DNN because it tends to focus on fitting to new classes while ignoring old classes, a phenomenon known as catastrophic forgetting. State-of-the-art methods rely on knowledge distillation and data replay techniques but still have limitations. In this work, we analyze the causes of catastrophic forgetting in class incremental learning, which owes to three factors: representation drift, representation confusion, and classifier distortion. Based on this view, we propose a two-stage learning framework with a fixed encoder and an incrementally updated prototype classifier. The encoder is trained with self-supervised learning to generate a feature space with high intrinsic dimensionality, thus improving its transferability and generality. The classifier incrementally learns new prototypes while retaining the prototypes of previously learned data, which is crucial in preserving the decision boundary.Our method does not rely on preserved samples of old classes, is thus a non-exemplar based CIL method. Experiments on public datasets show that our method can significantly outperform state-of-the-art exemplar-based methods when they reserved 5 examplers per class, under the incremental setting of 10 phases, by 18.24% on CIFAR-100 and 9.37% on ImageNet100., Comment: This paper has been under review by a journal since 19-Apr-2023

Even though trained mainly on images, we discover that pretrained diffusion models show impressive power in guiding sketch synthesis. In this paper, we present DiffSketcher, an innovative algorithm that creates \textit{vectorized} free-hand sketches using natural language input. DiffSketcher is developed based on a pre-trained text-to-image diffusion model. It performs the task by directly optimizing a set of B\'ezier curves with an extended version of the score distillation sampling (SDS) loss, which allows us to use a raster-level diffusion model as a prior for optimizing a parametric vectorized sketch generator. Furthermore, we explore attention maps embedded in the diffusion model for effective stroke initialization to speed up the generation process. The generated sketches demonstrate multiple levels of abstraction while maintaining recognizability, underlying structure, and essential visual details of the subject drawn. Our experiments show that DiffSketcher achieves greater quality than prior work.
