In this paper, we study the next-to-next-to-leading-order (NNLO) QCD corrections for the process $e^+e^- \to J/\psi+J/\psi$ at the $B$ factories. By including the NNLO corrections, the cross section turns negative due to the poor convergence of perturbative expansion. Consequently, to obtain a reasonable estimation for the cross section, the square of the amplitude up to NNLO is used. In addition, the contributions from the bottom quark and the light-by-light part, which are usually neglected, are also included. The final cross section is obtained as $1.76^{+2.42}_{-1.66} ~{\rm fb}$ at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=10.58$ GeV. In this paper, we calculate the next-to-next-to-leading-order (NNLO) QCD corrections to $e^+e^- \to J/\psi+\eta_c$ at the $B$ factories. After including the NNLO corrections, the cross section of $e^+e^- \to J/\psi+\eta_c$ is enhanced by about $17\%$, and the perturbative series of the prediction shows the convergent behavior. It is also found that the contribution from bottom quark starts at the $\alpha_s^3$-order, which is about $2.4\%$ of the total prediction. The renormalization scale $\mu_R$ dependence of the cross section is reduced at the NNLO level, but the prediction is sensitive to the charm quark mass $m_c$. By considering the uncertainties caused by renormalization scale $\mu_R$, charm quark mass $m_c$ and the NRQCD factorization scale $\mu_\Lambda$, our prediction shows agreement with the BABAR and BELLE measurements within errors., Comment: 13 pages, 3 figures. Two-photon radiative decay process $J/\psi \to 2\gamma+hadrons$ is studied, and the main contribution processes $J/\psi \to 2\gamma + g g g$ and $J/\psi \to 2\gamma + q \bar{q}$ are calculated. With the specific condition at the BESIII, this rare decay process and the main background process $e^{+} e^{-} \to \gamma \gamma + hadrons (q \bar{q})$ are investigated. The results show that the ratio of signal to background can reach 1.24 with the optimized selection criteria at the BESIII. In addition, a few distributions of the signal and background are presented. All the results show that the signal is large enough to be measured in the experiment., Comment: 10 pages, 19 figures

A new approach for tree-level amplitudes with multiple fermion lines is presented. It mainly focuses on the simplification of fermion lines. By calculating two vectors recursively without any matrix multiplications, the result of a fermion line is reduced to a very compact form depending only on the two vectors. The comparisons with other packages are presented, and the results show that our package FDC gives a very good performance in the processes of multiple fermion lines with this new approach and some other improvements. A further comparison with WHIZARD shows that this new approach has a competitive efficiency in computing pure amplitude square without phase space integration., Comment: 9 pages, 1 figure

The inclusive $\Upsilon(1S,2S,3S)$ photoproduction at the future Circular-Electron-Positron-Collider (CEPC) is studied based on the non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD). Including the contributions from both direct and resolved photons, we present different distributions for $\Upsilon(1S,2S,3S)$ production and the results show there will be considerable events, which means that a well measurements on the $\Upsilon$ photoprodution could be performed to further study on the heavy quarkonium physics at electron-positron collider in addition to hadron colliders. Applying the nonrelativistic quantum chromodynamics factorization formalism to the $\Upsilon(1S,2S,3S)$ hadroproduction, a complete analysis on the polarization parameters $\lambda_{\theta}$, $\lambda_{\theta\phi}$, $\lambda_{\phi}$ for the production are presented at QCD next-to-leading order. With the long-distance matrix elements extracted from experimental data for the production rate and polarization parameter $\lambda_{\theta}$ of $\Upsilon$ hadroproduction, our results provide a good description for the measured parameters $\lambda_{\theta\phi}$ and $\lambda_{\phi}$ in both the helicity and the Collins-Soper frames. In our calculations the frame invariant parameter $\tilde{\lambda}$ is consistent in the two frames. Finally, it is pointed out that there are discrepancies for $\tilde{\lambda}$ between available experimental data and corresponding theoretical predictions., Comment: 9 pages, 8 figures

The prompt $J/\psi$ photoproduction within the non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) framework at the future Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) is studied, including the contributions from both direct and resolved photons. Employing different sets of long distance matrix elements, the total cross section is dominated by the color-octet channel. We present different kinematic distributions of $J/\psi$ production and the results show there will be about 50 $J/\psi$ events when the transverse momentum of $J/\psi$ is up to 20 GeV. It renders that the $J/\psi$ photoprodution at the CEPC is a well laboratory to test the NRQCD and further clarify the universality problem in NRQCD between electron positron collider and hadron collider.

Up to the next-leading order (NLO) of quantum chromodynamics (QCD), the process $e^+e^-\to J/\psi +X$ with the center-of-mass (CM) energy range from 3.7 to 10.6 GeV is calculated. At 10.6 GeV, the results is consistent with the experiment results at the Belle. However, the predictions are much smaller than the measurement at BESIII at low CM energy range from 3.7 to 4.6 GeV. This indicates that the convergence of QCD perturbative expansion becomes worse as the CM energy becomes lower and closer to the inclusive $J/\psi$ production threshold. For a further study of the QCD mechanism on $J/\psi$ production at $e^+e^-$ collider with different CM energy, the initial state radiation effect of $e^+e^-\to J/\psi+gg$ and $e^+e^-\to J/\psi+c \bar{c}$ are calculated at the QCD NLO. The results are plotted and the numbers of events for different CM energy bins are provided for the designed SuperKEKB. This provides a method to precisely test the validity of perturbative prediction on $J/\psi$ production in future measurements., Comment: 7 pages, 9 figures

In this paper we investigate the inclusive associated production of {\Upsilon} + {\gamma} at the hadron collider. We calculate the color-singlet sub-processes and all three color-octet sub-processes at the next-to-leading order. Seven sets of long distance matrix elements(LDMEs), which are extracted from the studies on the prompt production of {\Upsilon} at hadron colliders, are used to give the numerical results and we find that there are three sets of LDMEs give the unphysical results on the yield and the polarization for this process. The yield is enhanced by several or two orders times comparing to that of color-singlet process and the polarization changes from longitudinal to slightly transverse or even mainly transverse in the large pt region. The estimation results indicate that to study the process at the large hadron collider (LHC) is difficult and it may be well investigated at the future Super Proton-Proton Collider(SPPC)., Comment: 5 pages, 2 figures and 1 table

At designed CEPC, similar to hadron collider, the angular distribution coefficients of decay lepton pair from produced Z(W) boson in $e^+ e^-$ collisions are predicted. Their dependence on $cos\theta_Z$($cos\theta_W$) are presented in four different polarization frame. Furthermore, the value of angular coefficients in different bins of $cos\theta_Z$ are presented in the C-S frame. In comparison to the case at hadron collider, better accurate measurement for $Z(W)$ is expected since there exists less background and $W$ could be reconstructed from it's leptonic decay channel. This work supply a way to precise test the electroweak production mechanism or some effect induced from new physics in the future measurements at the CEPC., Comment: 7 pages,9 figures

Based on the non-relativistic quantum chromodynamics factorization formalism, the polarization parameters $\lambda_{\theta\phi}$ and $\lambda_{\phi}$ of $J/\psi$ hadroproduction are analyzed in helicity frame and calculated at QCD next-to-leading order for the first time. For prompt $J/\psi$ production, we take into account the feeddown contributions from $\chi_{cJ}$ and $\psi(2S)$ decays. We compute the energy dependence of the P_T-integrated cross section of directly produced quarkonia in pp collisions at next-to-leading order (NLO), namely up to alpha_s^3, within nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD). Our analysis is based on the idea that the P_T-integrated and the P_T-differential cross sections can be treated as two different observables. The colour-octet NRQCD parameters needed to predict the P_T-integrated yield can thus be extracted from the fits of the P_T-differential cross sections at mid and large P_T. For the first time, the total cross section is evaluated in NRQCD at full NLO accuracy using the recent NLO fits of the P_T-differential yields at RHIC, the Tevatron and the LHC. Both the normalisation and the energy dependence of the J/psi, psi' and Upsilon(1S), we obtained, are in disagreement with the data irrespective of the fit method. The same is true if one uses CEM-like colour-octet NRQCD parameters. If, on the contrary, one disregards the colour-octet contribution, the existing data in the TeV range are well described by the alpha_s^3 contribution in the colour-singlet model --which, at alpha_s^4, however shows an unphysical energy dependence. A similar observation is made for eta(c,b). This calls for a full NNLO or for a resummation of the initial-state radiation in this channel. In any case, past claims that colour-octet transitions are dominantly responsible for low-P_T quarkonium production are not supported by our results. Following the nonrelativistic QCD factorization scheme, by taking latest available measurement on $\chi_b(3P)$ into consideration, we present an updated study on the yield and polarization of $\Upsilon(1S,2S,3S)$ hadroproduction, and the fractions of $\chi_b(mP)$ feed-down in $\Upsilon(nS)$ production at QCD next-to-leading order. In the fitting, three schemes are applied with different choice of $\chi_b(mP)$ feed-down ratios and NRQCD factorization scale. The results can explain the measurements on yield very well as in our previous work. The polarization puzzle to $\Upsilon(3S)$ is now solved by considering the $\chi_b(3P)$ feed-down contributions. The ratio of $\sigma[\chi_{b2}(1P)]/\sigma[\chi_{b1}(1P)]$ measurements from CMS can also be reproduced in our prediction. Among the different schemes, the results show little difference, but there are sizeable difference for the fitted long-distance color-octet matrix elements. It may bring large uncertainty when the values are applied in other experiments such as in $ee,~ep$ colliders.

FDCHQHP is a Fortran package to calculate the transverse momentum (p_t) distribution of yield and polarization for heavy quarkonium hadroproduction at next-to-leading-order (NLO) based on non-relativistic QCD(NRQCD) framework. It contains the complete color-singlet and color-octet intermediate states in present theoretical level, and is available to calculate different polarization parameters in different frames. In this paper, we present the study of the hadroproduction rate of $h_c$ at next-to-leading order in $\alpha_s$ under the nonrelativisitic QCD (NRQCD) factorization framework, using long-distance matrix elements obtained from the fit of $\chi_c$ production measurements by LHCb. We consider the problem of NRQCD scale dependence for the first time, and find that, for some experimental conditions, the choice of this scale can substantially affect the final results. Up to this order, color-octet channel still contribute the most part of the production rate.

The associate $J/\psi+\gamma$ production at the LHC is studied completely at next-to-leading-order (NLO) within the framework of nonrelativistic QCD. By using three sets of color-octet long-distance matrix elements (LDMEs) obtained in previous prompt $J/\psi$ studies, we find that only one of them can result in a positive transverse momentum ($p_t$) distribution of $J/\psi$ production rate at large $p_t$ region. Based on reasonable consideration to cut down background, our estimation is measurable upto $p_t=50$GeV with present data sample collected at $8$TeV LHC. All the color-octet LDMEs in $J/\psi$ production could be fixed sensitively by including this proposed measurement and our calculation, and then confident conclusion on $J/\psi$ polarization puzzle could be achieved., Comment: 5 pages, 2 figures

Based on nonrelativistic QCD factorization scheme, we present the first complete next-to-leading order study on the yield and polarization of Upsilon(1S,2S,3S) hadroproduction. By using the color-octet long-distance matrix elements obtained from fits of the experimental measurements on Upsilon yield and polarization at the Tevatron and LHC, our results can explain the measurements on the yield very well, and for the polarizations of Upsilon(1S,2S,3S), they are in (good, good, bad) agreement with recent CMS measurement, but still have some distance from the CDF measurement., Comment: 5 pages, 2 figures, a few sentences added. published in Physical Review Letters

To understand the direct $J/\psi+X_{\mathrm{non-c\bar{c}}}$ production mechanism in $e^{+}e^{-}$ annihilation, in this work, we propose to measure the inclusive $J/\psi$ plus light hadrons (LH) production at B-factories and present a detailed study on its QED production due to $\psi(2S)$ feed-down, where the $\psi(2S)$ are produced in $e^{+}e^{-}\to \psi(2S)+\gamma$ and $e^{+}e^{-}\to \psi(2S)+f\bar{f}, f=lepton,light quark$, and QED contribution to direct $J/\psi+q\bar{q}$ production with $q=u,d,s$ quark. We find that the QED contribution is huge in the whole phase space region, but can be reduced largely and is in the same order as the QCD contribution when a suitable cut on the angel $\theta_{J/\psi}$ between $J/\psi$ and the $e^{+}e^{-}$ beam is made. In this way, the cross section of $J/\psi+LH$ QCD production %which was predicted theoretical at next-to-leading order QCD together with relativistic correction, can be obtained by subtracting the QED contribution from the experimental measurement on inclusive $J/\psi$ plus light hadrons. To help to remove the QED background, we also calculate the angular and momentum distribution of $J/\psi$ in the QED contribution., Comment: 19 pages, 6 figures

Based on the nonrelativistic QCD factorization approach, ${\mathcal O}(\alpha_s v^2)$ corrections to $\jpsi$ plus $\eta_c$ production in $e^+e^-$ annihilation at $\sqrt{s}=10.6 \gev$ is calculated in this work. The numerical results show that the correction at $\alpha_s v^2$ order is only about a few percent for the total theoretical result. It indicates that the perturbative expansions for the theoretical prediction become convergence and higher order correction will be smaller. The uncertainties from the long-distance matrix elements, renormalization scale and the measurement in experiment are also discussed. Our result is in agreement with previous result in ref [1].

We calculate the inclusive production of $h_c(h_b)$ at $e^+e^-$ colliders with the center-of-mass energy from the CLEO-c energy to $Z^0$ boson mass at leading order of nonrelativistic QCD. At $Z^0$ boson mass, the cross sections are $39\sim 703$fb for $h_c(1p)$, $37\sim 61$fb for $h_b(1p)$ and $44\sim 73$fb for $h_b(2p)$. At the B-factory, it is $86\sim212$fb for $h_c(1p)$. For $h_c$ at the CLEO-c and $h_b(1p,2p)$ at the B-factory, the perturbative QCD expansion is not good and the results are much smaller than the experimental measurements. It is clearly shown in all the results that the color-octet state $(^1S_0^8)$ contributes dominantly while the color-singlet state $(^1P_1^1)$ contributes small or even negative part, in contrast to the case of inclusive $J/\psi$ production where the color-singlet state is found to contribute dominantly.

Based on nonrelativistic QCD, we present the first complete next-to-leading order study on the polarization of prompt J/psi hadroproduction by including feeddown from chi_c(^3P_J^1,^3S_1^8) and psi(2s) which turn out to be a very important part. By using the color-octet long-distance matrix elements obtained from a combined fit of the differential cross section measurements at the Tevatron and LHC for J/psi, psi(2s) and chi_c with p_t>7GeV, the prompt J/psi polarization predictions are presented, and the results are in agree with the CDF Run-I data (except two points), but in conflict with the CDF Run-II data, while are close to the ALICE data (inclusive J/psi) at LHC. We calculate the fragmentation function for charm quark into J/psi at the QCD next-to-leading-order (NLO) and find that the produced J/psi is of larger momentum fraction than it is at the leading-order. Based on the fragmentation function and partonic processes calculated at the NLO, the transverse momentum distribution on J/psi hadroproduction associated with a charm c (or \bar{c}) jet are predicted. We find that the distribution is enhanced by a factor of 2.0--3.3 at the NLO as p_t increased from 10 GeV to 100 GeV and it is measurable at the LHC with charm tagger. The measurement at the LHC will supply a first chance to directly test the QCD fragmentation mechanism on heavy quarkonium production where the fragmentation function is calculable in perturbative QCD. It is also applied to J/psi (Upsilon) production in the decay of Z^0 (top quark)., Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures

This work aims at illustrating that, for a class of leading-twist hard exclusive reactions involving two heavy quarkonia, the light-cone approach, when equipped with the strategy of refactorization of the light-cone distribution amplitude of quarkonium, can be employed to elegantly reproduce the corresponding predictions made in the nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization approach, order by order in perturbative expansion. Taking the electromagnetic form factor of the $B_c$ meson at large momentum transfer, $Q^2$, as a concrete example, we compare the results obtained from both NRQCD-based and light-cone-based calculations through the next-to-leading order (NLO) in $\alpha_s$, while at the leading order (LO) in both velocity and $1/Q^2$ expansion, and explicitly confirm their mutual agreement. As a byproduct, we apply our NLO result to explore certain features about the asymptotic behavior of the heavy-light meson form factor. We also address the major theoretical obstacles that prevent us from establishing an analogous equivalence between these two approaches for the double charmonium production process of phenomenological interest, $e^+e^-\to J/\psi+\eta_c$., Comment: v3, 39 pages, 5 figures. The NLO QCD corrections to Upsilon production via S-wave color-octet states Upsilon(^1S_0^8,^3S_1^8) at the Tevatron and LHC is calculated. The K factors of total cross section (ratio of NLO to LO) are 1.313 and 1.379 for Upsilon(^1S_0^8) and Upsilon(^3S_1^8) at the Tevatron, while at the LHC they are 1.044 and 1.182, respectively. By fitting the experimental data from the D0, the matrix elements for S-wave color-octet states are obtained. And new predictions for Upsilon production are presented. The prediction for the polarization of inclusive Upsilon contains large uncertainty rising from the polarization of Upsilon from feed-down of chi_b. To clarify the conflict between the theoretical predictions and experimental measurements of the inclusive J/psi production in Upsilon decay, We consider the alpha_s^6 order color-singlet contributions of processes Upsilon --> J/psi+gg and Upsilon --> J/psi+gggg. Both the branching ratio and J/psi momentum spectrum are calculated, and the branching ratio 4.7 x 10^{-4} is larger than the leading-order contribution (alpha_s^5, Upsilon --> J/psi+c\bar{c}g). Together with the QCD and QED leading-order contributions considered in our previous work, the color-singlet prediction of the branching ratio for the direct J/psi production is Br(Upsilon--> J/psi_{direct}+X)=0.90^{+0.49}_{-0.31} x 10^{-4}, which is still about 3.8 times less than the CLEO measurement. We also obtain a preliminary color-singlet prediction of R_{cc}=sigma(Upsilon --> J/psi+c\bar{c}+X)/ sigma(Upsilon --> J/psi+X) and find the value 0.39^{+0.21}_{-0.20} is much larger than the color-octet predictions, and suggest to measure this quality in future experimental analysis., Comment: 6 pages, 5 figures

In this paper, we study the $J/\psi(\Upsilon)$ production in Z boson decay in color-singlet model(CSM). We calculate the next-to-leading-order (NLO) QCD correction to $Z \to Quarkonium+Q\bar{Q}$, the dominant contribution in the CSM, with the vector and axial-vector parts in $ZQ\bar{Q}$ vertex being treated separately. The results show that the vector and axial-vector parts have the same K factor (the ratio of NLO result to leading-order result) 1.13 with the renormalization scale $\mu$=2$m_c$ and $m_c=1.5GeV$, and the K factor falls to 0.918 when applying the Brodsky, Lepage, and Mackenzie(BLM) renormalization scale scheme with obtained $\mu_{BLM}=2.28GeV$ and $m_c=1.5$GeV. By including the contributions from the next-dominant ones, the photon and gluon fragmentation processes, the branching ratio for $Z \to J/\psi_{prompt}+X$ is $(7.3 \sim 10.0)\times 10^{-5}$ with the uncertainty consideration for the renormalization scale and Charm quark mass. The results are about half of the central value of the experimental measurement 2.1$\times10^{-4}$. Furthermore, the $J/\psi$ energy distribution in our calculation is not well consistent with the experimental data. Therefore, even at QCD NLO, the contribution to $Z \to J/\psi_{prompt}+X$ from the CSM can not fully account for the experimental measurement. And there should be contributions from other mechanisms, such as the color-octet(COM) contributions. We define $R_{c\bar{c}}=\frac{\Gamma(Z \to J/\psi c\bar{c}X)}{\Gamma(Z \to J/\psi X)}$ and obtain $R_{cc}=0.84$ for only CSM contribution and $R_{cc}=0.49$ for COM and CSM contributions together. Then $R_{cc}$ measurement could be used to clarify the COM contributions., Comment: 8 pages, 8 figures

Considering the possibility to build an $e^+e^-$ collider at the energies around $Z$-boson resonance with a luminosity so high as ${\cal L} \propto 10^{34}cm^{-2}s^{-1}$ (even higher) and the abilities of a modern synthesis detector, we systematically calculate the exclusive two body processes: $e^+e^-$ annihilates into a heavy quarkonium and a photon (initiate state radiation i.e. ISR is involved), at the energies around the $Z$-boson resonance. Since the couplings of $Z$-boson to quarks contain axial vector as well as vector, so here the produced heavy quarkonium may stand for a charmonium such as ${J/\psi,\eta_c,h_c,\chi_{cJ}}\cdots$ and a bottomonium such as ${\Upsilon,\eta_b,h_b,\chi_{bJ}}\cdots$ respectively. If we call such a collider with so high luminosity and running around the $Z$-boson resonance as a $Z$-factory, then our results obtained here indicate that experimental studies at a $Z$-factory about the various heavy quarkona (their ground and excited states) via the two-body processes, especially, the production of the bound states with quantum number $J^{PC}=1^{--}$ via ISR, have outstanding advantages., Comment: 11 page, 3 figures

We reconsider the tree level color-singlet contribution for the inclusive J/\psi production in \Upsilon decay with the \alpha_{s}^{5} order QCD process \Upsilon\to J/\psi+c\bar{c}+g and \alpha^{2}\alpha_s^{2} order QED processes \Upsilon\to\gamma^{\ast}\to J/\psi+c\bar{c} and \Upsilon\to J/\psi+gg. It is found that the contribution of the QED process is compatible with that of the QCD process, and the numerical results for the QCD process alone is an order of magnitude smaller than the previous theoretical predictions, and our theoretical prediction in total is about an order of magnitude smaller than the recent CLEO measurement on the branching fraction B(\Upsilon\to J/\psi+X). It indicates that the J/\psi production mechanism in \Upsilon decay is not well understood, and further theoretical work and experimental analysis are still necessary., Comment: 16 pages, 3 figures

An upgraded (second) version of the package GENXICC ({\bf A Generator for Hadronic Production of the Double Heavy Baryons $\Xi_{cc}$, $\Xi_{bc}$ and $\Xi_{bb}$ by C.H. Chang, J.X. Wang and X.G. Wu,} [its first version: in Comput. Phys. Commun. {\bf 177} (2007) 467-478]) is presented. Users, with this version being implemented in PYTHIA and a GNU C compiler, may simulate full events of the production in various experimental environments conveniently. In comparison with the previous version, in order to implement it in PYTHIA properly, a subprogram for the fragmentation of the produced double heavy diquark to the relevant baryon is complemented and the interphase of the generator to PYTHIA is changed accordingly. In the subprogram, with explanation, certain necessary assumptions (approximations) are made so as to conserve the momenta and the QCD `color' flow for the fragmentation., Comment: 15 pages, 2 figures

In this paper, we demonstrate the LHC discovery potential of new charged vector boson $W_1^{\pm}$ predicted by the Minimal Higgsless model in the process $pp\to W_1^{\pm}qq^{\prime}\to W^{\pm}Z^0qq^\prime\to \ell^{\pm}\ell^+\ell^-\nu qq^{\prime}(\ell=e,\mu)$ by analyzing the generator level events of the signal and backgrounds. The generator for the signal $pp \to {W_1}^{\pm}qq^\prime\to W^{\pm}Z^0qq^\prime$ at tree level is developed with the Minimal Higgsless model and then interfaced with PYTHIA for the parton showers and hadronization. The backgrounds are produced with PYTHIA and ACERMC.
