Abstract

As the self-lubricating layer of self-lubricating spherical plain bearings, fabric liner shows obvious heterogeneous anisotropic characteristics, so it is a technical difficulty to predict its wear properties. In this paper, the continuous wear of self-lubricating fabric liner was simulated based on the mesoscopic scale wear model. The macroscopic wear properties of the fabric liner were characterized by establishing a representative volume element, and subsequently imposing periodic boundary restrictions on periodic surfaces. In order to avoid excessive mesh distortion, voxel grids meshing method was used, and then continuous wear of the heterogeneous material was realized by adjusting node coordinates and combining nodes. Detailed comparison between simulation prediction results and wear test data of fabric liner was made. The good correlation of the results confirmed that the mesoscopic scale wear model could be used in accurately predict the tribological performance of fabric composite. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Taking the central frame of the electric wheelchair as the research object, the finite element analysis software MSC. Patran/Nastran is used to model the finite element and the modal analysis in the undamped state, and the first 10 modes of the central frame structure are obtained. By analyzing the simulation results of the modal, the natural frequencies of the 1st to 10th order of the central frame structure and the 1st to 10th order modes corresponding to the frequency are effectively designed to avoid the resonance phenomenon of the electric wheelchair system.And it verifies that the central frame structure satisfies the requirements of dynamic characteristics, conforms to the safety and rationality of the structural design, and provides a reference for the further optimization and design of the structure.

Abstract

For the grinding of the welded joint of the rusted pipe fitting, the grinding of the groove at the pipe joint of the pipe requires automatic adjustment of the positional relationship between the pipe and the grinding head according to the size of the pipe, which is the most complicated stage in the entire automatic grinding process. In view of the above problems, this paper proposes an algorithm for automatic grinding of pipe groove. It includes the positioning and travel distance of the relative positional relationship between the pipe groove and the grinding head motor, and the relationship between the advance and retreat speed and the displacement relationship when the grinding head motor is linked with the pipe groove in the grinding process. The algorithm can automatically adapt to the positional relationship between the grinding head motor and the welded joint of the pipe fitting according to the different radius of the pipe fittings. It has a wide application range and has good practicability, and has been used in actual grinding equipment with good effect.

Abstract

Platycodon grandiflorus is a well-known and widely distributed traditional herbal medicine and functional food in Asia, with triterpenoids as the main bioactive component in its roots. Acetyl-CoA C-acetyltransferase (AACT) is the initiation enzyme in the mevalonate pathway and plays an important role in the biosynthesis of terpenoids. Objective: The objective of this study was to clone and identify the PgAACT function in P. grandiflorus. Methods: The full-length sequence of PgAACT genes was isolated and cloned from P. grandiflorus by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The recombinant plasmid was constructed using the pET-32a vector and expressed in E. coli Transetta (DE3) cells. Subcellular localization of AACT was observed in the epidermal cells of N. tabacum. Quantitative reverse transcription-PCR (qRT-PCR) was used to identify the PgAACT gene transcription levels. After MeJA treatment, the changes in AACT gene expression were observed, and UHPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap MS/MS was used to detect the changes in P. grandiflorus saponins. Results: In this study, two full-length cDNAs encoding AACT1 (PgAACT1) and AACT2 (PgAACT2) were isolated and cloned from P. grandiflorus. The deduced PgAACT1 and PgAACT2 proteins contain 408 and 416 amino acids, respectively. The recombinant vectors were constructed, and the protein expression was improved by optimizing the reaction conditions. Sodium dodecyl sulphate-polycrylamide gel electrophloresis and western blot analysis showed that the PgAACT genes were successfully expressed, with molecular weights of the recombinant proteins of 61 and 63 kDa, respectively. Subcellular localization showed that the PgAACT genes were localized in the cytoplasm. Tissue specificity analysis of P. grandiflorus from different habitats showed that PgAACT genes were expressed in the roots, stems, and leaves. After MeJA treatment, the expression level of PgAACT genes and the content of total saponins of P. grandiflorus were significantly increased, suggesting that PgAACT genes play an important role in regulating plant defense systems. Conclusion: Cloning, expression, and functional analysis of PgAACT1 and PgAACT2 will be helpful in understanding the role of these two genes in terpene biosynthesis.

Summary: The effect of thermal on the structural dynamic response is gaining attention, and should be taken into account during model updating. Meanwhile, metamodel technique is applied to be a surrogate model for its low computational cost. In this work, the structural model updating under thermal field is investigated, an attempt has been made to combine Kriging metamodel and frequency response function based model updating. The Kriging model, taken as a surrogate, is constructed based on the input variables selected by F‐test method, which is applied on the results of design of experiment. The errors of response signal between analytical model and experimental model are used to create response of design of experiment. 48. Structural dynamic model updating based on Kriging model using frequency response data

Abstract

Metamodel technique is attracting more and more attention in structural dynamic model updating. In this paper, an attempt is made to explore the effectiveness of Kriging method for acceleration frequency response function based model updating. A Kriging model is constructed based on the input variables selected by F-test method specially, which is applied to the results of design of experiment. The response of design of experiment is obtained based on the errors between acceleration response curves of analytical model and experimental model. Two examples of representative structure are discussed, the comparison of updated results of different metamodel shows that a less error of updated results can be obtained based on Kriging model, and the updated analytical model has a good prediction capability. It can be concluded that the Kriging model is suitable for the frequency response function based model updating.
