In response to a large amount of marine and coastal geological data, the Yantai Center of Coastal Zone Geological Survey has designed and developed a marine and coastal database management and visualization system. This paper introduces the development environment and functional modules of the database system. The development and use of this system have achieved the integration of data aggregation, processing, and display of geological data, which is of great significance for improving the value and utilization rate of geological information resources.

Heart failure (HF) is associated with poor prognosis. While various immune markers have been linked to HF outcomes, the relationship between eosinophils (EOS) and prognosis across different HF phenotypes remains unclear and controversial. In this study, we analyzed 2,677 HF patients from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care III (MIMIC-III) database, categorizing them into reduced ejection fraction (≤ 50%) and preserved ejection fraction (> 50%) groups. Multiple logistic regression, Kaplan-Meier survival curve estimation, Cox proportional hazards model, and restricted cubic splines were employed to assess the association between admission EOS and mortality. Subgroup analyses were conducted based on age, gender, sepsis, atrial fibrillation, hypertension and rheumatic and immunological diseases and mechanical ventilation. A total of 954 patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and 1723 patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) were enrolled, with a female proportion of 37.84% and 56.88%, respectively. The median age of patients was 74.46 (IQR: 63.34–83.26) years and the median EOS was 0.09 (IQR: 0.04–0.20). Among these patients, in-hospital mortality was 14.5% (389 patients), and the overall 90-day mortality rate reached 27.12% (726 patients). There were no significant differences in EOS levels between the HFrEF and HFpEF groups (0.1 vs. 0.09, P = 0.154). After adjusting for confounders, multivariate logistic regression showed that higher EOS quartiles were associated with reduced in-hospital mortality in HFrEF patients, with quartile 3 (Q3) (OR 0.54, 95% CI 0.31–0.96, P = 0.035) and Q4 (OR 0.37, 95% CI 0.19–0.71, P = 0.003) showing significant protective effects compared with the lowest EOS quartile (Q1), while Q2 did not reach statistical significance (P = 0.931). Subgroup analyses yielded similar findings. Multivariate Cox regression demonstrated a reduced hazard ratio in Q4 (HR 0.64, 95% CI 0.44–0.94, P = 0.023) compared with Q1 in HFrEF patients. However, no significant association was observed between EOS and prognosis in HFpEF. Our findings indicated that higher EOS was associated with improved in-hospital and 90-day survival in ICU patients with HFrEF, but not in those with HFpEF. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In recent years, the competition between Luckin Coffee and Cotti Coffee has intensified, leading to an increasingly aggressive price war in the Chinese market. This research utilizes game theory to analyze the price competition between these two companies, offering a clearer understanding of the interdependent and dynamic nature of their pricing decisions. By constructing a price game model, the study delves into the essence and internal logic of their competition, comparing the pricing strategies, market responses, and overall impact of these price wars on both companies. In 2023, both Luckin Coffee and Cotti Coffee aggressively pursued market share through extreme pricing tactics, triggering a prolonged and fierce price war. The analysis reveals that while these tactics temporarily bolstered their market positions, they also exposed both companies to significant margin pressure and increased business risks. The research underscores the unsustainable nature of such competition and the potential long-term harm to both companies’ profitability and market stability. Based on these findings, the paper offers several recommendations aimed at fostering a more fair, orderly, and sustainable competitive environment within the industry. By moving beyond aggressive price wars, Luckin Coffee and Cotti Coffee could focus on building brand loyalty, improving product quality, and innovating in service delivery, ultimately creating a healthier and more balanced market landscape.

Background and Aim: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between advanced lung cancer inflammation index (ALI) and non‐alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and advanced liver fibrosis (AF). Methods: A total of 5642 individuals from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) between 2017 and 2020 were examined. Limited cubic spline regression model, and weighted logistic regression were employed to determine if ALI levels were related to the prevalence of NAFLD and AF. Additionally, a mediating analysis was conducted to investigate the role of lipid biomarkers, such as total cholesterol (TC) and high‐density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL‐C), in the effects of ALI on the prevalence of NAFLD and AF. Results: After adjusting for potential confounders, a significant positive association was found between ALI with NAFLD and AF prevalence. Compared with those in ALI Tertile 1, participants in Tertile 3 had higher odds of NAFLD prevalence (odds ratio [OR]: 3.16; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 2.52–3.97) and AF (OR: 3.17; 95% CI: 2.30–4.36). Participants in both Tertile 2 and Tertile 3 had lower odds of developing AF (P for trend = 0.005). Moreover, we discovered a nonlinear association between ALI and NAFLD. An inflection point of 74.25 for NAFLD was identified through a two‐segment linear regression model. Moreover, TC and HDL‐C levels mediated the association between ALI and NAFLD by 10.2% and 4.2%, respectively (both P < 0.001). Conclusion: Our findings suggest that higher ALI levels are positively associated with an increased prevalence of NAFLD and AF, partly mediated by lipid biomarkers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study aims to explore the impact assessment method of geologic engineering activities on the habitat quality of small watershed. This paper utilized remote sensing technology to fetch the land-use change information of the Guobayan Mineral District, a key project in the Baoxing River Basin, and also quantitatively assess the habitat quality there by InVEST model. The assessment results show that from 2000 to 2020:In the Guobayan Mineral District, the land use types mainly changed from woodland to bare land, and the proportion of woodland area decreased by 15.11%, while that of bare land increased by 12.30%;The habitat quality index decreased from 0.9234 to 0.8618, the standard deviation increased from 0.2389 to 0.3134, and the proportion of low-grade area of habitat quality increased by 4.84%, suggesting an slight overall decrease. The proportion of areas with strong habitat degradation increased by 3.40%, and the habitat degradation index increased from 0.0113 to 0.0159, indicating a slight degradation. In conclusion, although the habitat quality of small watershed could be disturbed by human activities, the impact on the environment can be controlled at a very low level through appropriate mining methods, scientific optimization of land-use pattern and effective ecological restoration.

Sewage treatment is a process with high energy consumption and pollution. In the current situation of energy shortage and fierce competition in the paper industry market, how to reduce the energy cost is related to the survival and development of every sewage treatment plant. With the rise of big data environment in the internet, discrete dynamic modeling technology has developed very rapidly. Discrete dynamic modeling technology is a dynamic model system that can connect the information of different things, so as to form a dynamic model system that can control all devices or data. The object attributes processed by the model system also determine the nature of the dynamic model system. As we all know, the big data environment is a large database with complex data types, so the dynamic model system in the big data environment is nonlinear. This paper mainly studies the historical development trend of big data environment and discrete dynamic modeling technology, as well as the stability method of five level H-bridge when discrete dynamic modeling technology controls rural sewage treatment system. Finally, the control of chaotic bifurcation in discrete dynamic model system under digital background is studied. It includes the rectifier modeling of the current data required by large devices in the sewage treatment system and the result analysis of the generated values.

AimWe explored how acculturation and self-actualization affect depression in the HIV-positive Asians and Pacific Islanders immigrant population.BackgroundAsians and Pacific Islanders are among the fastest growing minority groups in the USA. Asians and Pacific Islanders are the only racial/ethnic group to show a significant increase in HIV diagnosis rate.DesignA mixed-methods study was conducted.MethodsThirty in-depth interviews were conducted with HIV-positive Asians and Pacific Islanders in San Francisco and New York. Additionally, cross-sectional audio computer-assisted self-interviews were conducted with a sample of 50 HIV-positive Asians and Pacific Islanders. Content analysis was used to analyse the in-depth interviews. Also, descriptive, bivariate statistics and multivariable regression analysis was used to estimate the associations among depression, acculturation and self-actualization. The study took place from January-June 2013.DiscussionMajor themes were extracted from the interview data, including self-actualization, acculturation and depression. The participants were then divided into three acculturation levels correlating to their varying levels of self-actualization. For those with low acculturation, there was a large discrepancy in the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale scores between those who had totally lost their self-actualization and those who believed they could still achieve their 'American dreams'. Among those who were less acculturated, there was a significant difference in depression scores between those who felt they had totally lost their ability to self-actualize and those who still believed they could 'make their dreams come true.'ConclusionAcculturation levels influence depression and self-actualization in the HIV-positive Asians and Pacific Islanders population. Lower acculturated Asian Americans achieved a lower degree of self-actualization and suffered from depression. Future interventions should focus on enhancing acculturation and reducing depression to achieve self-actualization.

Asians and Pacific Islanders (API) are among the fastest growing minority groups within the USA, and this growth has been accompanied by an increase in HIV incidence. Between 2000 and 2010, the API HIV infection rate increased from 4.5% to 8.7%; however, there is a paucity of HIV-related research for this group, and even less is known about the prevalence and correlates of antiretroviral therapy adherence behavior, quality of life, impact of stress, and efficacious self-management among HIV+ API Americans. This paper examines how acculturation and perceived stress affect depression symptomatology and treatment seeking in the HIV+ API population. A series of cross-sectional audio computer-assisted self-interviews were conducted with a convenience sample of 50 HIV+ API (29 in San Francisco and 21 in New York City). The relationship between acculturation and perceived stress was analyzed, and the results indicate that for those HIV+ API who reported low or moderate acculturation (as compared to those who reported high acculturation), stress was significantly mediated by depression symptomology. Interventions to address acculturation and reduce perceived stress among API generally and Asians specifically are therefore needed. © 2014 © 2014 Taylor & Francis.

Since forest fuel decomposes slowly and increases the risk of forest fires by accumulating over the years, forest fuel management to accelerate the decomposition process is essential to prevent forest fires and protect forest resources. In this study, we conducted experiments on forest fuels (Pinus sylvestris var. mongholica, Larix gmelinii, Quercus mongolica and Fraxinus mandshurica) in four typical plantation forests in northeast China by adding Trichoderma spp. to investigate the decomposition process and the changes in cellulose, hemicellulose and the water-holding capacity of the fuels. The addition of Trichoderma spp. accelerated the decomposition of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin in the fuel. Trichoderma spp. promoted the ratio of water absorption and loss, as well as the water-holding capacity of the fuels. The ratio of water absorption and loss reached equilibrium when the decomposition time was up to 35 days, and the addition of Trichoderma spp. increased the maximal water-holding capacity of the fuel. The residual ratio of the four types of fuel degraded by the different treatments was inversely proportional to their maximal water-holding capacities and to the residual ratios of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. The residual ratios of degradation of the four fuels under different treatments were linearly related to their maximum water-holding capacity, cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin residual ratios. Trichoderma spp. had a positive effect on the degradation effect and water-holding capacity of fuel on the ground surface of four typical plantation forests. The study is of positive significance for the decomposition of fuel in forests, it promotes the development of biological fire prevention technology and provides a basis for the reinforcement of the management of fuel in forests and the protection of forest resources. Background: Radiotherapy (RT) can drive cancer cells to enter a state of cellular senescence in which cells can secrete senescence‐associated secretory phenotype (SASP) and produce small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) to interact with cells in the tumor microenvironment (TME). Tumor‐derived sEVs that are taken up by recipient cells contribute to cancer cell metabolic plasticity, resistance to anticancer therapy, and adaptation to the TME. However, how radiation‐induced sEVs support oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) progression remains unclear. Methods: Beta‐galactosidase staining and SASP mRNA expression analysis were used to evaluate the senescence‐associated activity of OSCC cells after irradiation. Nanoparticle tracking analysis was performed to identify radiation‐induced sEVs. Liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS) was used to explore changes in the levels of proteins in radiation‐induced sEVs. Cell Counting Kit‐8 and colony formation assays were performed to investigate the function of radiation‐induced SASP and sEVs in vitro. A xenograft tumor model was established to investigate the functions of radiation‐induced sEVs and V‐9302 in vivo as well as the underlying mechanisms. Bioinformatics analysis was performed to determine the relationship between glutamine metabolism and OSCC recurrence. Results: We determined that the radiation‐induced SASP triggered OSCC cell proliferation. Additionally, radiation‐induced sEVs exacerbated OSCC cell malignancy. LC–MS/MS and bioinformatics analyses revealed that SLC1A5, which is a cellular receptor that participates in glutamine uptake, was significantly enriched in radiation‐induced sEVs. In vitro and in vivo, inhibiting SLC1A5 could block the oncogenic effects of radiation‐induced sEVs in OSCC. Conclusion: Radiation‐induced sEVs might promote the proliferation of unirradiated cancer cells by enhancing glutamine metabolism; this might be a novel molecular mechanism underlying radiation resistance in OSCC patients. This paper aimed to provide technical support for fuel management by exploring different strengths of fuel removal on the physical and chemical properties and flammability of Betula platyphylla forests in the wildland–urban interface. After investigating the northeastern region during the forest fire prevention period in May 2023, a typical WUI area was selected, and three different treatment strengths, combined with a control, were set up to carry out indoor and outdoor experiments for 27 weeks. Compared with previous studies, this study mainly investigated and analyzed the dynamic changes in the physical and chemical properties and fuel flammability after different intensities of treatments on a time scale. By processing and analyzing the data, the following results were obtained. Significant differences existed in the fuel loading of different time-lag fuels over time (p < 0.05). The ash and ignition point of 1 h time-lag fuel after different treatment intensities generally increased first and then decreased, and the higher heat value and ash-free calorific value generally decreased first and then increased. The physical and chemical properties of 10 h and 100 h time-lag fuel fluctuated with time, but the overall change was insignificant. The indicator that had the greatest impact on the combustion comprehensive score for different time-lag fuels was fuel loading. The change in the flammability of dead surface fuel with time varied significantly, and different treatment intensities effectively reduced the fuel's flammability. The reduction effects, presented in descending order, were as follows: medium-strength treatment > low-strength treatment > high-strength treatment > control check. In conclusion, different treatment intensities have significant effects on the flammability of the fuel, and the medium-strength treatment has the best effect. Considering the ecological and economic benefits, adopting the medium-strength treatment for the WUI to regulate the fuel is recommended. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Flammable litter such as Pinus koraiensis needle accumulation increases the risk of wildfire. In the event of a high-intensity fire, forest resources can be severely damaged. To reduce the occurrence of forest fires, it is important to reduce loads and modify structures. This study conducted 270 indoor degradation experiments to determine physicochemical properties of Pinus koraiensis during the combustion degradation process. Combustion degradation treatment variables were constructed with different durations, Trichoderma fungi, and doses. The results show that the physicochemical properties of flammable litter changed significantly after degradation, with a maximum degradation rate of 11. The degradation rate was affected by time and microbial agents, but there was no significant difference between different doses. Principal component analysis was used to determine overall combustibility, and it was found that a dose of 4 mL of Trichoderma harzianum had the best effect on degradation for 42 days, reducing combustibility by 203%. It was found that the 6ml composite mould had the best inhibitory effect on fire spread rate, reaching the lowest value. After 42 days, the flame intensity of 4 mL Trichoderma harzianum reached its lowest value of 57.17 kw/m, which represents a decrease of 54% compared to the initial value. Similarly, the flame's length reached its lowest value of 4.91 cm, which represents a decrease of 31% compared to the same period last year. The aim of this study is to establish the relationship between time, microbial agents, dosage, flammable physical and chemical properties, overall flammability, and potential fire behaviour. The values of the goodness-of-fit index and the comparative fit index are both >0.98, and the values of the standardised root mean square residual and the approximate root mean square error are both <0.05. This study has a positive effect on accelerating the decomposition of combustibles, reducing the content of flammable components, reducing flammability and potential fire behaviour, and reducing the risk of forest fires.
