Numerous studies have examined the causes and harms of problematic Internet use (PIU). However, less is known about whether and how PIU influences the users' psychological well-being (PWB). To address these concerns, the study explores the impact of PIU on PWB with a special focus on the potential mediating role of anhedonia, which is a negative and core characteristic of depression. A total of 434 participants from two universities completed the questionnaires, which included the Internet Game Cognitive-Addiction (IGCA), Temporal Experience of Pleasure (TEP), and the PWB scales. Data were analyzed with structural equation modeling methods. Results show that PIU has a negative impact on PWB as assessed by the PWB scale, whereas anhedonia as measured by the TEP is a key mediator for explaining this relationship. Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are prevalent and incapacitating conditions, sharing common pathogenic pathways such as tobacco use and pulmonary inflammation. The influence of respiratory conditions including COPD on RA has been observed, meanwhile RA may constituting one of the risk factors for COPD. It unclear that whether a bidirectional associate between RA and COPD. Our study aims to explore the bidirectional relationship between RA and COPD. Methods: We systematically searched PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Embase for observational studies from the databases inception to February 20, 2024, utilizing medical subject headings (MeSH) and keywords. We included studies in which RA and COPD were studied as either exposure or outcome variables. Statistical analyses were conducted employing STATA software (version 14.0). The relationship was reported as odds ratios (OR) and corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CI). Publication bias was assessed using funnel plots and Egger's regression. Results: Nineteen studies with 1,549,181 participants were included. Risk of bias varied from low to moderate, with evidence levels rated as low or very low. Pooled analysis revealed a significant association between RA and increased COPD risk (OR=1.41, 95%CI 1.13 to 1.76, I2 = 97.8%, P =0.003). Subgroup analyses showed similar COPD risk elevations in both of genders, seropositive/seronegative RA, cohort and case control studies. Additionally, there was a significant RA risk increase among those with COPD (OR=1.36, 95%CI 1.05 to 1.76, I2 = 55.0%, P =0.022), particularly among females and seropositive RA, and cohort studies. Conclusion: The meta-analysis identifies a significant bidirectional association between RA and COPD, emphasizing mutually increased risk. Recognizing this connection may can inform proactive approaches to disease prevention and management, potentially reducing the public health burden and improving quality of life. Dendritic cells (DCs) serve as key regulators in tumor immunity, with activated DCs potentiating antitumor responses through the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines and the expression of co-stimulatory molecules. Most current studies focus on the relationship between DC subgroups and clear-cell renal-cell carcinoma (ccRCC), but there is limited research on the connection between DCs and ccRCC from the perspective of immune activation. In this study, activated DC genes were identified in both bulk and single-cell RNA-seq data. A prognostic model related to activated DCs was constructed using univariate, multivariate Cox regression and LASSO regression. The prognostic model was validated in three external validation sets: GSE167573, ICGC, and E-MTAB-1980. The prognostic model consists of five genes, PLCB2, XCR1, IFNG, HLA-DQB2, and SMIM24. The expression of these genes was validated in tissue samples using qRT-PCR. Stratified analysis revealed that the prognostic model was able to better predict outcomes in advanced ccRCC patients. The risk scores were associated with tumor progression, tumor mutation burden, immune cell infiltration, and adverse outcomes of immunotherapy. Notably, there was a strong correlation between the expression of the five genes and the sensitivity to JQ1, a BET inhibitor. Molecular docking indicated high-affinity binding of the proteins encoded by these genes with JQ1. In conclusion, our study reveals the crucial role of activated DCs in ccRCC, offering new insights into predicting immune response, targeted therapy effectiveness, and prognosis for ccRCC patients. Purpose: To propose a straightforward and time‐efficient quality assurance (QA) approach of beam time delay for respiratory‐gated radiotherapy and validate the proposed method on typical respiratory gating systems, Catalyst™ and AlignRT™. Methods: The QA apparatus was composed of a motion platform and a Winston‐Lutz cube phantom (WL3) embedded with metal balls. The apparatus was first scanned in CT‐Sim and two types of QA plans specific for beam on and beam off time delay, respectively, were designed. Static reference images and motion testing images of the WL3 cube were acquired with EPID. By comparing the position differences of the embedded metal balls in the motion and reference images, beam time delays were determined. The proposed approach was validated on three linacs with either Catalyst™ or AlignRT™ respiratory gating systems. To investigate the impact of energy and dose rate on beam time delay, a range of QA plans with Eclipse (V15.7) were devised with varying energy and dose rates. Results: For all energies, the beam on time delays in AlignRT™ V6.3.226, AlignRT™ V7.1.1, and Catalyst™ were 92.13 ±$ \pm $ 5.79 ms, 123.11 ±$ \pm $ 6.44 ms, and 303.44 ±$ \pm $ 4.28 ms, respectively. The beam off time delays in AlignRT™ V6.3.226, AlignRT™ V7.1.1, and Catalyst™ were 121.87 ±$ \pm $ 1.34 ms, 119.33 ±$ \pm $0.75 ms, and 97.69 ±$ \pm $ 2.02 ms, respectively. Furthermore, the beam on delays decreased slightly as dose rates increased for all gating systems, whereas the beam off delays remained unaffected. Conclusions: The validation results demonstrate the proposed QA approach of beam time delay for respiratory‐gated radiotherapy was both reproducible and time‐efficient to practice for institutions to customize accordingly. The low gain in the presence of a single transverse external electric field limits the application of metal‐semiconductor‐metal (MSM) photodetectors. Here, a longitudinal built‐in electric field by spin‐coating CH3NH3PbI3:PC61BM on the electrode region of an Au/ZnO MSM photodetector, which constitutes a vertically crossed composite electric field with a transverse external electric field, is constructed. In this case, the transverse electric field collects the electrons, and the longitudinal electric field separates them. Based on this novel electric field structure, carrier multiplication at lower voltage conditions is achieved. Compared to the low voltage, there is a significant amplification effect when the voltage reaches 7 V. The responsivity is increased ≈270 times for UV–vis wavelengths, escalating from ≈0.02 to ≈5.4 A W−1. The tumor microenvironment (TME) is crucial in tumor development, metastasis, and response to immunotherapy. DNA methylation can regulate the TME without altering the DNA sequence. However, research on the methylation-driven TME in clear-cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is still lacking. In this study, integrated DNA methylation and RNA-seq data were used to explore methylation-driven genes (MDGs). Immune scores were calculated using the ESTIMATE, which was employed to identify TME-related genes. A new signature connected with methylation-regulated TME using univariate, multivariate Cox regression and LASSO regression analyses was developed. This signature consists of four TME-MDGs, including AJAP1, HOXB9, MYH14, and SLC6A19, which exhibit high methylation and low expression in tumors. Validation was performed using qRT-PCR which confirmed their downregulation in ccRCC clinical samples. Additionally, the signature demonstrated stable predictive performance in different subtypes of ccRCC. Risk scores are positively correlated with TMN stages, immune cell infiltration, tumor mutation burden, and adverse outcomes of immunotherapy. Interestingly, the expression of four TME-MDGs are highly correlated with the sensitivity of first-line drugs in ccRCC treatment, especially pazopanib. Molecular docking indicates a high affinity binding between the proteins and pazopanib. In summary, our study elucidates the comprehensive role of methylation-driven TME in ccRCC, aiding in identifying patients sensitive to immunotherapy and targeted therapy, and providing new therapeutic targets for ccRCC treatment. The photocatalytic nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR) in aqueous solution is a green and sustainable strategy for ammonia production. Nonetheless, the efficiency of the process still has a wide gap compared to that of the Haber–Bosch one due to the difficulty of N2 activation and the quick recombination of photo-generated carriers. Herein, a core-shell Bi@Bi2MoO6 microsphere through constructing Schottky junctions has been explored as a robust photocatalyst toward N2 reduction to NH3. Metal Bi self-reduced onto Bi2MoO6 not only spurs the photo-generated electron and hole separation owing to the Schottky junction at the interface of Bi and Bi2MoO6 but also promotes N2 adsorption and activation at Bi active sites synchronously. As a result, the yield of the photocatalytic N2-to-ammonia conversion reaches up to 173.40 μmol g−1 on core-shell Bi@Bi2MoO6 photocatalysts, as much as two times of that of bare Bi2MoO6.
