Background: Pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD) is a disease of weakened pelvic floor support tissues, leading to changes in the pelvic organ position and function of pelvic organs, with long-term effects on women. This study aimed to assess pelvic floor function using electrophysiology and clinical symptoms, exploring the risk factors for PFD one month postpartum. Methods: This cross-sectional study included 845 women from postpartum outpatient clinic of Nantong Affiliated Hospital from August 2019 to October 2021. Pelvic floor muscle strength was evaluated via pelvic floor surface electromyography. Clinical symptoms (urinary incontinence (UI) and pelvic organ prolapse) were diagnosed by gynecologists. Sociodemographic, pregnancy, and obstetrical data were obtained from self-reported questionnaires and electronic records. Results: The study identified maternal age, parity, immigrant status, and economic income as factors were related to PFD. Gestational constipation increased the risk of abnormal resting muscle strength (OR:1.553, 95%CI: 1.022–2.359). Cesarean delivery was associated with higher rates of abnormal resting muscle strength than vaginal delivery (post-resting stage: OR, 2.712; 95% CI, 1.189–6.185), but a decreased incidence of UI (OR: 0.302; 95% CI, 0.117–0.782). Increased gestational weight gain was correlated with a greater risk of developing UI (OR:1.030, 95%CI: 1.002–1.058). Women with vaginal inflammation faced a higher risk of abnormal fast-twitch muscle (OR: 2.311, 95%CI: 1.125–4.748). Conclusions: In addition to uncontrollable factors like mode of delivery, age, and parity, interventions targeting weight gain and constipation during pregnancy and vaginal flora could mitigate the risks of PFD. Educational programs for pregnant women should emphasize a proper diet and lifestyle. For women with vaginal inflammation, clinical treatment should be carried out as soon as possible to avoid further aggravating the damage to the pelvic floor muscles. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Current research separately analyzed the connection between postpartum depression, fatigue, sleep and infant development. However, depression, fatigue and sleep quality often coexisted as adverse symptoms in postpartum women and influenced infant development together. This study explored the maternal postpartum symptoms on infant growth. Methods: Our study included 224 pairs of singleton full‐term mothers and their infants who underwent routine pediatric outpatient clinics. Latent profile analysis was applied to identify the latent classes based on mothers' postpartum depression, fatigue and sleep profile characteristics. We evaluated the maternal adverse symptoms and infant development using multivariable logistic regressions. Results: Totally, 224 pairs of eligible mothers (28.85 ± 4.43 years) and infants (30.93 ± 3.26 days) participated in this study. Latent profile analysis identified 3 latent groups: mild (58.04%), moderate (34.37%), and severe (7.59%) postpartum adverse symptoms. Postpartum adverse symptoms were associated with delayed development in the baby's motor level (χ2 = 6.572, p =.037) and weight‐for‐length (χ2 = 9.652, p =.008). After controlling for mother and infant related factors, postpartum adverse symptoms remained a risk factor for infant motor level (odds ratio [OR]: 4.35; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.25–15.08) and weight‐for‐length (OR: 5.53; 95% CI: 1.55–19.74). Conclusions: Maternal postpartum depression, fatigue and sleep quality are associated with infant development. Clinically, mothers with these symptoms should be intervened timely to avoid the aggravation of maternal symptoms, which affect baby's development. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Analyze the pattern of lymph node metastasis in Siewert II adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction (AEG) and provide a basis for the principles of surgical access. Methods: The clinical data of 112 Siewert type II AEG patients admitted to the Fifth Department of Thoracic Surgery, the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University from 2020 to 2022 were retrospectively collected. The probability of lymph node metastasis in each site and the clearance rate of lymph nodes in each site by different surgical approaches were analyzed. Results: The lymph node metastasis rates in the middle and upper mediastinum group, the lower mediastinum group, the upper perigastric + supra pancreatic group, and the lower perigastric + hepatoduodenal group were 0.0%, 5.4%, 61.6%, and 17.1%, (P < 0.001). The number of lymph nodes cleared in the middle and upper mediastinum group was 0.00, 0.00, 4.00 in the transabdominal approach (TA), left thoracic approach (LT), and Ivor-Lewis (IL) group, (P < 0.001); The number of lymph nodes cleared in the lower mediastinal group was 0.00, 2.00, 2.00, (P < 0.001); The number of lymph node dissection in the perigastric + hepatoduodenal group was 3.00, 0.00, and 8.00, (P < 0.001). The overall complication rates were 25.7%, 12.5%, and 36.4%, (P = 0.058). Conclusion: Siewert II AEG has the highest rate of lymph node metastasis in the upper perigastric + supra-pancreatic region, followed by the lower perigastric + hepatoduodenal, lower mediastinal, middle, and upper mediastinal regions. Ivor-Lewis can be used for both thoracic and abdominal lymph node dissection and does not increase the incidence of postoperative complications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aerial working platforms are widely used to transport personnel and equipment to a specified height. To ensure operation stability, their chassis are supported on the ground by a four-legged outrigger system before use. At present, leveling of an aerial working platform is manually conducted, resulting in low accuracy, low efficiency, poor robustness, and poor adaptability. In response to this, a battery-electric drive-electric control integrated aerial working chassis is proposed at first. Then the attitude and load coupling control model proposed by our team is applied to design its integrated control system. Finally, performance tests of the control system and comparisons with the traditional point-chasing method are studied. Results show that the aerial working chassis and the control system can rapidly and synchronously realize the geometry leveling and load homogenization of the chassis, thus having potential values to be promoted to special vehicles with leveling requirements. We aim to overcome the unclear origin of the loquat and elucidate the heterosis mechanism of the triploid loquat. Here we investigated the genetic and epigenetic variations between the triploid plant and its parental lines using amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) and methylation-sensitive amplified fragment length polymorphism (MSAP) analyses. We show that in addition to genetic variations, extensive DNA methylation variation occurred during the formation process of triploid loquat, with the triploid hybrid having increased DNA methylation compared to the parents. Furthermore, a correlation existed between genetic variation and DNA methylation remodeling, suggesting that genome instability may lead to DNA methylation variation or vice versa. Sequence analysis of the MSAP bands revealed that over 53% of them overlap with protein-coding genes, which may indicate a functional role of the differential DNA methylation in gene regulation and hence heterosis phenotypes. Consistent with this, the genetic and epigenetic alterations were associated closely to the heterosis phenotypes of triploid loquat, and this association varied for different traits. Our results suggested that the formation of triploid is accompanied by extensive genetic and DNA methylation variation, and these changes contribute to the heterosis phenotypes of the triploid loquats from the two cross lines. Les auteurs ont investigue les variations genetiques et epigenetiques entre un plant triploideetses parents aumoyen d'analyses AFLP(<< amplified fragment length polymorphism >>)etMSAP(<< methylation-sensitive amplified fragment length polymorphism >>). Les auteurs montrent que, en plus de variations genetiques, une large variation de la methylation de l'ADN est survenue au cours de la formation du bibassier triploide, ce dernier presentant une methylation accrue par rapport a celle observee chez ses parents. De plus, une correlation a ete trouvee entre les changements survenus en matiere de variation genetique et de methylation de l'ADN, ce qui suggere qu'une instabilite du genome pourrait entrainer la methylation de l'ADN ou vice versa. Le sequencage des bandes MSAP a revele que plus de 53 % de celles-ci chevauchaient des regions codantes, ce qui pourrait indiquer un role fonctionnel de la methylation de l'ADN dans la regulation genique et, consequemment, sur les phenotypes lies a l'heterosis. Conformement, les alterations genetiques et epigenetiques etaient etroitement associees aux phenotypes heterotiques du bibassier triploide et cette association etait variable selon les caracteres. Les resultats de ce travail suggerent que la formation du bibassier triploide s'accompagne d'une variation genetique et epigenetique considerable, et que ces changements contribuent aux phenotypes heterotiques qui distinguent les bibassiers triploides de leurs deux parents.
