Abstract

Advancing catalyst design is pivotal for the enhancement of photocatalytic processes in renewable energy conversion. The incorporation of structural chirality into conventional inorganic solar hydrogen nanocatalysts promises a significant transformation in catalysis, a feature absent in this field. Here we unveil the unexplored potential of geometric chirality by creating a chiral composite that integrates geometric chiral Au nanoparticles (NPs) with two‐dimensional C3N4 nanosheets, significantly boosting photocatalytic H2 evolution beyond the achiral counterparts. The superior performance is driven by the geometric chirality of Au NPs, which facilitates efficient charge carrier separation through the favorable C3N4‐chiral Au NP interface and chiral induced spin polarization, and exploits high‐activity facets within the concave surfaces of chiral Au NPs. The resulting synergistic effect leads to a remarkable increase in photocatalytic H2 evolution, with an apparent quantum yield of 44.64 % at 400 nm. Furthermore, we explore the selective polarized photo‐induced carrier separation behavior, revealing a distinct chiral‐dependent photocatalytic HER performance. Zinc sulfide nanosheet-based hybrid superlattices with tunable periodicities and rod-like or tubular morphologies are constructed by the spontaneous assembly of nanosheets as they grow in amine solution. The as-prepared architectures can be used as an enhanced electrode for photocurrent response and converted to other functional materials.

Abstract

Among the most critical processes in simulating terrestrial ecosystem performance is the regulatory role of sto- mata in carbon and water cycles. Compared with field measurements, the changes in stomatal slope caused by the biophysical environment provide a simple but effective synthetic framework for studying climate-related carbon and water cycling, due to its sensitivity to CO2, vapor pressure deficit, and photosynthesis. It is also crucial in un- derstanding the effects of climate change on photosynthesis and water use efficiency. Endeavored by numerous scholastic efforts, stomatal conductance models have been improved based on experimental, semi-experimental, and mechanical processes. However, the underlying biological mechanisms and the dynamics of key parameters in these models remain unexplored, especially regarding the changes in stomatal slope. By improving the under- s tanding of the stomata's regulatory role, we reduced the uncertainty of stomatal conductance simulation. We then synthesized the recent developments and lessons in optimal stomatal behavior theory to simulate stomatal con- ductance and included an introduction to widely used stomatal conductance models and parameters, the main fac- tors influencing stomatal slopes, and applications of the mechanical stomatal conductance models in different ecosystems. 42. Study on the Tribological Mechanism of Ultrafine SiO2/MoS2 Powders in Complex Calcium Sulfonate Grease

Abstract

The purpose of this work was to study and further clarify the anti-wear and anti-friction mechanism of ultrafine SiO2/MoS2 powders in the complex calcium sulfonate grease. In this paper, 15nm nanoSiO2, 1μm MoS2 and commercial NLGI Grade No.2 complex calcium sulfonate grease were used as the research objects, SEM, EDS and XPS were used to study the morphology, composition and film chemical constitution of the long friction wear spots of grease containing single nanoSiO2 powder, ultrafine MoS2 powder and the two compound powders, which formed in the process of four ball long friction. The results show that nanoSiO the grease plays a role in filling the undercut, ball bearings and polishing and forming high hardness Ca3Fe2(SiO4)3 and part of Fe2O3 anti-wear films in the process of long friction. The ultrafine MoS2 powder has a self-repairing effect to fill the grooves,forming the MoS2, MoO3 anti-friction films and Fe2(SO4)3 anti-wear film. The two powders in the composite grease have a synergistic effect, acting on the friction pair together, and simultaneously forming self-repairing anti-friction and anti-wear films, thereby further improving the tribological performance of the base grease.
