A localized parameter system is constructed for the Taihu Lake Basin based on the shared socioeconomic pathways (SSPs) to predict the rural population and economy including ANPSP from 2020 to 2050. The results show that: (1) Under the five paths of SSP1–SSP5, the population will continue to decrease, and the scenarios from large to small are SSP3 > SSP1 > SSP2 > SSP4 > SSP5. Agricultural GDP continues to rise under the SSP1, SSP4 and SSP5, and rises first and then slowly declines under the SSP2 and SSP3. (2) The ANPSP caused by living and production will show a downward trend. The scenarios with the highest and lowest rural life pollution are SSP3 and SSP5, and the scenarios with the highest and lowest agricultural production pollution are SSP5 and SSP1, respectively. The total pollution will be reduced, however the reduction rate will gradually slow down, and the pollution caused by rural production and life is difficult to completely avoid. (3) The total nitrogen (TN) and total phosphorus (TP) pollution showed a similar trend. Both types of pollutants are mainly from agricultural production activities, however the proportion of rural domestic pollution is gradually increasing. Agricultural production has a greater impact on TP, while rural life contributes more to TN than TP. (4) SSP1 is the only path that can prevent ANPSP and achieve agricultural economic growth. Cofrogliptin (HSK7653) is a long‐acting dipeptidyl peptidase‐4 inhibitor for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus with a twice‐monthly dosing regimen. This study included 62 participants (48 without food effect, 14 with food effect) receiving single doses of HSK7653 (5, 10, 25, 50, 100, and 150 mg) or placebo. Pharmacokinetic samples were collected over 24 hours postdosing and sampling times are aligned with 12‐lead electrocardiograms (ECGs) which were derived from continuous ECG recordings. For the concentration‐QT interval corrected for heart rate (C‐QTc) analysis, we used linear mixed‐effects modeling to characterize the correlation between plasma concentrations of HSK7653 and the change from baseline in the QT interval which was corrected by Fridericia's formula (ΔQTcF). The result showed that a placebo‐corrected Fridericia corrected QT interval (ΔΔQTcF) prolongation higher than 10 milliseconds is unlikely at the mean maximum observed concentration (Cmax) (411 ng/mL) associated with the recommended therapeutic doses (25 mg twice‐monthly), even at the highest supratherapeutic concentration (2425 ng/mL). A temperature-compensated direct current (DC) magnetic field sensor based on a whispering gallery mode (WGM) microcapillary resonator is described in which both temperature-compensation and magnetic field sensing is realized by resonant wavelength difference in two high-order modes. A simulation and experimental results verified that the temperature response of the sensor is significantly reduced using the resonant wavelength difference between two high-order optical modes. In addition, the magnetic field response of resonant wavelength difference between two high-order optical modes was characterized. The results show that the resonant wavelength difference first blue-shifted and subsequently red-shifted as the magnetic field strength increased to provide DC magnetic field sensitivities of −0.03 and 0.01 pm/Oe from 34.79 to 62.56 Oe and 62.56 to 181.012 Oe, respectively. Broadband filtering and reconstruction-based spectral measurement represent a hot technical route for miniaturized spectral measurement; the measurement encoding scheme has a great effect on the spectral reconstruction fidelity. The existing spectral encoding schemes are usually complex and hard to implement; thus, the applications are severely limited. Considering this, here, a simple spectral encoding method based on a triangular matrix is designed. The condition number of the proposed spectral encoding system is estimated and demonstrated to be relatively low theoretically; then, verification experiments are carried out, and the results show that the proposed encoding can work well under precise or unprecise encoding and measurement conditions; therefore, the proposed scheme is demonstrated to be an effective trade-off of the spectral encoding efficiency and implementation cost. To realize the one‐dimensional deformation of morphing wings, zero Poisson's ratio (ZPR) honeycomb metamaterials have become a popular research topic due to their lightweight, low in‐plane modulus, and high out‐of‐plane strength. A ZPR honeycomb metamaterial is designed and prepared from short‐cut carbon fiber‐reinforced polyetheretherketone (CF/PEEK) by a 3D printer. The mechanical properties of ZPR honeycomb metamaterials were tested to determine their tensile and bending stiffness. The results show that the metamaterial can achieve 62.3% ± 3.3% in‐plane elastic deformation after optimized structure design. At the same time, metamaterial has a certain bending resistance to keep the airfoil from normal buckling deformation. Moreover, a new test method for evaluating the cycle deformation behavior of flexible morphing wings is proposed. The high‐speed cyclic tension‐compression test showed that H22‐t0.6‐CT has the best stability, which may be related to its lower porosity (2.15% ± 0.12%). These results indicate that ZPR honeycomb metamaterials have great application prospects in the field of morphing wings. Microplastics are an emerging and persistent form of environmental contaminants, and they have been detected in a variety of environments. Most researchers have focused on microplastics in marine environments, but there are relatively fewer studies on farmland soil ecosystems. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate feasible and effective methods for the identification and quantification of microplastics in farmland soil using pyrolysis-gas chromatography mass spectrometry (Pyr-GC-MS). In this work, we report on the application of density flotation, filter membranes, and digestion for effective separation and preconcentration of microplastics in soil samples. Subsequently, we optimised the density separation approach according to the number of flotations and the density of the flotation solution. The results showed that flotation twice with NaCl solution and once with ZnCl2 solution achieved a high recovery rate of microplastics at the lowest cost. A recovery percentage of 77.30–94.87% was achieved. The precision of the recovery expressed as the relative standard deviation (RSD) of the peak area was 5.05% for polyethylene (PE) microplastics, 1.71% for polypropylene (PP) microplastics, and 0.78% for polystyrene (PS) microplastics. The above data indicated that the proposed method showed excellent reproducibility and high sensitivity. Among the samples, the main component was PE (60%), followed by PP (20%) and PS (20%). The average concentrations of PE, PP, and PS microplastics in the soil were 685.55, 1069.98, and 864.23 μg/g, respectively. Although the Lissajous frequency modulated (LFM) mode can improve the long-term and temperature stability of the scale factor (SF) for mode mismatch MEMS gyroscopes, its SF nonlinearity poses a significant limitation for full-scale accuracy maintenance. This paper examines the interaction effects among stiffness coupling, system phase delay, readout demodulation phase shift, and velocity amplitude mismatch within the control process. Based on the completion of frequency difference control and demodulation phase matching, we clarify that the remaining stiffness coupling and residual system phase error are the primary factors influencing SF nonlinearity. Furthermore, SF nonlinearity is reduced through error compensation. On one hand, this paper suppresses stiffness coupling through the observation of the instantaneous frequency difference and the application of the quadrature voltage. On the other hand, system phase error is compensated by observing the amplitude control force and tuning the reference in the Phase-Locked Loops (PLLs). Subsequent simulations of these methods demonstrated a remarkable 97% reduction in SF nonlinearity within the measurement range of ±500°/s. Asthma is a chronic airway inflammatory disease whose global incidence increases annually. The role of innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) is a crucial aspect of asthma research with respect to different endotypes of asthma. Based on its pathological and inflammatory features, asthma is divided into type 2 high and type 2 low endotypes. Type‐2 high asthma is distinguished by the activation of type 2 immune cells, including T helper 2 (Th2) cells and ILC2s; the production of cytokines interleukin (IL)‐4, IL‐5 and IL‐13; eosinophilic aggregation; and bronchial hyper‐responsiveness. Type‐2 low asthma represents a variety of endotypes other than type 2 high endotype such as the IL‐1β/ILC3/neutrophil endotype and a paucigranulocytic asthma, which may be insensitive to corticosteroid treatment and/or associated with obesity. The complexity of asthma is due to the involvement of multiple cell types, including tissue‐resident ILCs and other innate immune cells including bronchial epithelial cells, dendritic cells, macrophages and eosinophils, which provide immediate defence against viruses, pathogens and allergens. On this basis, innate immune cells and adaptive immune cells combine to induce the pathological condition of asthma. In addition, the plasticity of ILCs increases the heterogeneity of asthma. This review focuses on the phenotypes of tissue‐resident ILCs and their roles in the different endotypes of asthma, as well as the mechanisms of tissue‐resident ILCs and other immune cells. Unraveling the reaction paths and structural evolutions during charging/discharging processes are critical for the development and tailoring of silicon anodes for high‐capacity batteries. However, a mechanistic understanding is still lacking due to the complex phase transformations between crystalline (c‐) and amorphous (a‐) phases involved in electrochemical cycles. In this study, by employing a newly developed machine learning potential, the key experimental phenomena not only reproduce, including voltage curves and structural evolution pathways, but also provide atomic scale mechanisms associated with these phenomena. The voltage plateaus of both the c‐Si and a‐Si lithiation processes are predicted with the plateau value difference close to experimental measurements, revealing the two‐phase reaction mechanism and reaction path differences. The observed voltage hysteresis between lithiation and delithiation mainly originates from the transformation between the c‐Li15‐δSi4 and a‐Li15‐δSi4 phases. Furthermore, stress accumulation is simulated along different reaction paths, indicating a better cycling stability of the a‐Si anode due to the lower stress concentration. Overall, the study provides a theoretical understanding of the thermodynamics of the complex structural evolutions in Si anodes during (de)lithiation processes, which may play a role in optimizations for battery performances. The present study aims to investigate the mediating effect of dispositional coping on the relationship between cognitive appraisal (which includes areas of threat, challenge, harm/loss, and benign/irrelevant appraisals) and posttraumatic growth (PTG) among patient–caregiver dyads undergoing hemodialysis. In total, 237 dyads of patients undergoing hemodialysis and their family caregivers were recruited from a tertiary hospital in Tianjin, China. Dyadic data were analyzed using the Actor–Partner Interdependence Mediation Model (APIMeM). The final APIMeM model examining dyadic effects of challenge appraisal and dispositional coping on PTG demonstrated an excellent model fit. The challenge appraisal of family caregivers was directly associated with the PTG of patients undergoing hemodialysis. Dispositional coping mediated the pathways between challenge appraisal and PTG for both patients undergoing hemodialysis and family caregivers. By exploring the cognitive appraisal and dispositional coping of patient–caregiver dyads undergoing hemodialysis may help both partners foster PTG. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Spectral reflectance or transmittance measurements provide intrinsic information on the material of an object and are widely used in remote sensing, agriculture, diagnostic medicine, etc. Most reconstruction-based spectral reflectance or transmittance measurement methods based on broadband active illumination use narrow-band LEDs or lamps combined with specific filters as spectral encoding light sources. These light sources cannot achieve the designed spectral encoding with a high resolution and accuracy due to their low degree of freedom for adjustment, leading to inaccurate spectral measurements. To address this issue, we designed a spectral encoding simulator for active illumination. The simulator is composed of a prismatic spectral imaging system and a digital micromirror device. The spectral wavelengths and intensity are adjusted by switching the micromirrors. We used it to simulate spectral encodings according to the spectral distribution on micromirrors and solved the DMD patterns corresponding to the spectral encodings with a convex optimization algorithm. To verify the applicability of the simulator for spectral measurements based on active illumination, we used it to numerically simulate existing spectral encodings. We also numerically simulated a high-resolution Gaussian random measurement encoding for compressed sensing and measured the spectral reflectance of one vegetation type and two minerals through numerical simulations. We reconstructed the spectral transmittance of a calibrated filter through an experiment. Background: Dietary astaxanthin (AST) exhibits the ability to resist lipid accumulation and stimulate hepatic autophagy. Natural AST predominantly exists in stable esterified forms. More importantly, in our previous study, docosahexaenoic acid‐acylated AST monoester (AST‐DHA) possessed better stability, bioavailability, and neuroprotective ability than AST in free and diester form. However, the AST‐DHA mechanisms of action in regulating the obese phenotype and autophagy of the central nervous system remain unclear. Results: High‐fat diet (HFD)‐fed C57BL/6J mice were orally administered AST‐DHA (50 mg/kg body weight/d) for 3 days or 8 weeks. AST‐DHA supplementation alleviated HFD‐induced abnormal body weight gain, significantly enhanced autophagy with an increased microtubule‐associated protein light chain 3 II/I (LC3II/I) ratio, and reduced the accumulation of p62/sequestosome 1 (SQSTM1) in the hypothalamus rather than in the hippocampus. Mechanistically, AST‐DHA effectively promoted autophagy and autophagosome formation, and most notably rescued the HFD‐impaired autophagosome‐lysosome fusion (indicated by the colocalization of LC3 and LAMP1) by regulating mTOR‐ and AMPK‐induced phosphorylation of ULK1. Consequently, AST‐DHA enhanced hypothalamic autophagy, leading to pro‐opiomelanocortin (POMC) cleavage to produce alpha‐melanocyte‐stimulating hormone (α‐MSH). Conclusions: This study identified AST‐DHA as an enhancer of autophagy that plays a beneficial role in restoring hypothalamic autophagy, and as a new potential therapeutic agent against HFD‐induced obesity. © 2023 Society of Chemical Industry. Aim: To apply model-informed drug development (MIDD) approach to support the decision making in drug development and accelerate the clinical development of janagliflozin, an orally selective SGLT2 inhibitor. Method: We previously developed a mechanistic pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) model of janagliflozin based on preclinical data to optimize dose design in the first-in-human (FIH) study. In the current study, we used clinical PK/PD data of the FIH study to validate the model and then simulate the PK/PD profiles of multiple ascending dosing (MAD) study in healthy subjects. Besides, we developed a population PK/PD model of janagliflozin to predict steady-state urinary glucose excretion (UGE [UGE,ss]) in healthy subjects in the Phase 1 stage. This model was subsequently used to simulate the UGE, ss in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) based on a unified PD target (ΔUGEc) across healthy subjects and patients with T2DM. This unified PD target was estimated from our previous work of model-based meta-analysis (MBMA) for the same class of drugs. The model-simulated UGE,ss in patients with T2DM was validated by data from the clinical Phase 1e study. Finally, at the end of the Phase 1 study, we simulated the 24-week hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) level in patients with T2DM of janagliflozin based on the quantitative UGE/FPG/HbA1c relationship informed by our previous MBMA study for the same class of drugs. Results: The pharmacologically active dose (PAD) levels of multiple ascending dosing (MAD) study were estimated to be 25, 50,100 mg once daily (QD) for 14 days based on the effective PD target of approximately 50 g daily UGE in healthy subjects. Besides, our previous MBMA analysis for the same class of drugs has provided a unified effective PD target of ΔUGEc approximately 0.5–0.6 g/(mg/dL) in both healthy subjects and patients with T2DM. In this study, the model-simulated steady-state ΔUGEc (ΔUGEc,ss) of janagliflozin in patients with T2DM were 0.52, 0.61 and 0.66 g/(mg/dL) for 25, 50, 100 mg QD dose levels. Finally, we estimated that HbA1c at 24 weeks would decrease 0.78 and 0.93 from baseline for the 25 and 50 mg QD dose groups. Conclusions: The application of MIDD strategy adequately supported the decision making at each stage of janagliflozin development process. A waiver of Phase 2 study was successfully approved for janagliflozin based on these model-informed results and suggestions. Background: Necrostatin-1 (Nec-1) is an inhibitor of the receptor interacting protein (RIP)1 kinase, which acts as an inhibitor of necroptosis, a special form of necrosis. In the present study, the effect of Nec-1 on peripheral nerve injury (PNI) was investigated. Methods: The PNI model was established by inducing sciatic nerve injury. Hematoxylin–eosin and immunofluorescence staining techniques were used to assess the extent of injury to nerve fibers and necrosis of Schwann cells (SCs). Western blotting was performed to detect the expression of necroptosis-related factors (RIP1 and RIP3). The concentrations of tumor necrosis factor-α, interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, and the oxidative stress-related enzyme malondialdehyde (MDA) were determined to indicate the degree of inflammation and oxidative stress. Results: Nec-1 could decrease the degree of peripheral nerve lesions after PNI and protect SCs and axons by inhibiting necroptosis. Furthermore, Nec-1 could reduce necroptosis by inhibiting RIP1 and effectively reduce inflammation and reactive oxygen species production at the early stage of PNI. Conclusions: Alleviation of necroptosis by Nec-1 may provide new insights into therapies for the early stages of peripheral nerve repair after PNI. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: To compare the performance of the EAONO/JOS, STAMCO, and ChOLE Cholesteatoma Staging Systems in prognostic evaluation of children acquired middle ear cholesteatoma after primary surgery and identify the other factors that could predict cholesteatoma recidivism. And the correlation between the staging and the recidivism of cholesteatoma after grouping according to operation was evaluated. Methods: A total of 123 ears of 118 patients that underwent surgery for primary cholesteatoma from November 2008 to May 2020 were included in this retrospective study, and then classified and staged according to the EAONO/JOS, STAMCO, and ChOLE cholesteatoma staging system, respectively. Each indicator involved in the system above was analyzed separately to evaluate its prognostic value for cholesteatoma recidivism. Results: The type of surgical procedure performed (P = 0.020) was shown to be associated with cholesteatoma recidivism. Cholesteatoma location the supratubal recess (S1) (P = 0.026, HR = 3.614, 95% CI 1.137, 7.945), and the sinus tympani (S2) (P = 0.004, HR = 4.208, 95% CI 1.574, 11.250) were shown to be significantly associated with disease recidivism. When focusing on the CWU operation group, ossicular chain status in STAMCO stage (P = 0.043) and in the ChOLE stage (P = 0.018) were significantly associated with cholesteatoma recidivism. The results had shown no association between the three stages and cholesteatoma recidivism in the CWD and endoscopic surgery groups. Conclusions: Based on our study, the EAONO/JOS, STAMCO, and ChOLE Classifications have limited value in predicting cholesteatoma recidivism, in acquired middle ear cholesteatoma in children. Adding the pathological status of the ossicular chain may be useful for predicting the recidivism of cholesteatoma. Timely and accurate diagnosis of Schistosoma infection is important to adopt effective strategies for schistosomiasis control. Previously, we demonstrated that Schistosoma japonicum can secret extracellular vesicles and their cargos may serve as a novel type of biomarkers for diagnosing schistosomiasis. Here, we developed a Gaussia luciferase immunoprecipitation assay combined with S. japonicum extracellular vesicle (SjEV) protein to evaluate its potential for diagnosing schistosomiasis. A saposin-like protein (SjSLP) identified from SjEVs was fused to the Gaussia luciferase as the diagnostic antigen. The developed method showed good capability for detecting S. japonicum infection in mice and human patients. We also observed that the method could detect S chistosom a infection in mice as early as 7 days of post-infection, which showed better sensitivity than that of indirect ELISA method. Overall, the developed method showed a good potential for detecting Schistosoma infection particularly for early stage, which may provide an alternative strategy for identify Schistosoma infection for disease control. The pathogenesis of UC is complex, currently believed to be influenced by genetic factors, dysregulation of the host immune system, imbalance in the intestinal microbiota, and environmental factors. Currently, UC is typically managed using aminosalicylates, immunosuppressants, and biologics as adjunctive therapies, with the risk of relapse and development of drug resistance upon discontinuation. Therefore, further research into the pathogenesis of UC and exploration of potential treatment strategies are necessary to improve the quality of life for affected patients. According to previous studies, Lactobacillus paracasei Jlus66 (Jlus66) reduced inflammation and may help prevent or treat UC.We used dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) to induce a mouse model of UC to assess the effect of Jlus66 on the progression of colitis. During the experiment, we monitored mouse body weight, food and water consumption, as well as rectal bleeding. Hematoxylin-eosin staining was performed to assess intestinal pathological damage. Protein imprinting and immunohistochemical methods were used to evaluate the protein levels of nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB), mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), and tight junction (TJ) proteins in intestinal tissues. Fecal microbiota was analyzed based on partial 16S rRNA gene sequencing.Jlus66 supplementation reduced the degree of colon tissue damage, such as colon shortening, fecal occult blood, colon epithelial damage, and weight loss. Supplementation with Jlus66 reduced DSS-induced upregulation of cytokine levels such as TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 (p < 0.05). Background: Protein complexes are essential for biologists to understand cell organization and function effectively. In recent years, predicting complexes from protein–protein interaction (PPI) networks through computational methods is one of the current research hotspots. Many methods for protein complex prediction have been proposed. However, how to use the information of known protein complexes is still a fundamental problem that needs to be solved urgently in predicting protein complexes. Results: To solve these problems, we propose a supervised learning method based on network representation learning and gene ontology knowledge, which can fully use the information of known protein complexes to predict new protein complexes. This method first constructs a weighted PPI network based on gene ontology knowledge and topology information, reducing the network's noise problem. On this basis, the topological information of known protein complexes is extracted as features, and the supervised learning model SVCC is obtained according to the feature training. At the same time, the SVCC model is used to predict candidate protein complexes from the protein interaction network. Then, we use the network representation learning method to obtain the vector representation of the protein complex and train the random forest model. Finally, we use the random forest model to classify the candidate protein complexes to obtain the final predicted protein complexes. We evaluate the performance of the proposed method on two publicly PPI data sets. Conclusions: Experimental results show that our method can effectively improve the performance of protein complex recognition compared with existing methods. In addition, we also analyze the biological significance of protein complexes predicted by our method and other methods. The possibility of using transition metal (TM)/MXene as a catalyst for the nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR) was studied by density functional theory, in which TM is an Fe atom, and MXene is pure Ti3C2O2 or Ti3C2O2−x doped with N/F/P/S/Cl. The adsorption energy and Gibbs free energy were calculated to describe the limiting potentials of N2 activation and reduction, respectively. N2 activation was spontaneous, and the reduction potential-limiting step may be the hydrogenation of N2 to *NNH and the desorption of *NH3 to NH3. The charge transfer of the adsorbed Fe atoms to N2 molecules weakened the interaction of N≡N, which indicates that Fe/MXene is a potential catalytic material for the NRR. In particular, doping with nonmetals F and S reduced the limiting potential of the two potential-limiting steps in the reduction reaction, compared with the undoped pure structure. This article considers the filtering problem with nonlinear measurements. We propose a new enabling variational inference model for approximating measurement likelihood, which is constructed by a linear Gaussian regression process. The resulting filter is referred to as the new enabling variational inference filter (NEVIF). In variational inference framework, the NEVIF obtains the variational posterior of state by minimizing the Kullback–Leibler divergence between the variational distribution and the true posterior. Then, the accuracy improvement and robustness of the NEVIF compared with the traditional methods are analyzed. Furthermore, an evaluation rule called the filtering evidence lower bound is developed to analyze the estimation accuracy performance of filters. The rate of early misdiagnosis in patients with nodular fasciitis of the ear is high. To provide a basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment, we aimed to summarise the clinical manifestations, imaging results, pathological findings, treatment strategies, and postoperative follow-up results for three cases of paediatric nodular fasciitis (two girls, one boy) treated in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, at Beijing Children's Hospital of Capital Medical University from 2018 to 2020. The average age at diagnosis was 24 months. Lesions occurred in the left ear in two cases and right ear in one case. All patients had a history of biopsy before surgery. Rapid growth was observed following biopsy in two patients, and anti-inflammatory treatment was ineffective in all three cases. Fluorescence in situ hybridisation analysis of ubiquitin-specific peptidase 6 (USP6) was performed in two of the three cases, with positive results. The lesions exhibited hypo-intensity or iso-intensity on T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and heterogeneous hyper-intensity on T2-weighted MRI. "Fascial tail" signs were observed on imaging in all cases. Surgical resection was performed in all cases. Intact ear appearance was observed at follow-up, and there were no cases of recurrence. Conclusion: Combining clinical features with imaging findings may improve the accuracy of preoperative diagnosis in patients with nodular fasciitis. In addition to pathological findings, genetic testing for USP6 may aid in diagnosis. The final diagnosis should be based on comprehensive assessment. Complete surgical resection can prevent recurrence. • This study was based on a population-based prospective cohort study. • Major depressive symptoms were associated with cardiovascular death and plasma BNP. • Plasma BNP is used as a surrogate endpoint for cardiovascular events. • Elevated BNP level may serve as an early effect marker of cardiovascular events. To estimate the prevalence of depressive symptoms and to evaluate the associations of mild and significant depressive symptoms with cardiovascular events and plasma BNP levels (which are surrogate endpoints for cardiovascular events) among older adults in a population-based study. A population-based prospective study of 1,432 elderly people (aged 70–84 years and without cardiovascular disease) was conducted, and the median duration of follow-up for participants with outcomes was 18 weeks. Depressive symptoms were assessed with the 15-item Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS-15). The hazard ratios (HRs) for the time to events and time to death were calculated using the Cox regression analysis. Multiple linear regression models and Spearman rank correlations were used to examine the association of depressive symptoms with Log BNP values. The prevalence of mild (GDS-15 scores ≥ 6) and significant (GDS-15 scores ≥ 10) depressive symptoms were 7.3% and 2.0% at baseline, respectively. Older adults with significant depressive symptoms exhibited increased risks of time to death (HR: 12.56; 95% CI: 3.58–43.99) and composite cardiovascular endpoints (HR: 3.46; 95% CI: 1.19–3.75). Significant depressive symptoms were associated with Log BNP levels (β=0.56, P = 0.02). Depressive symptom scores were also associated with Log BNP levels (r s =0.21, P = 0.04) in the older adults with depressive symptoms. Tumor antigen-specific T cell function is limited by immune tolerance in the tumor microenvironment. In the tumor microenvironment, tumor cells upregulate PD-L1 expression to promote T cell exhaustion by PD-1/PD-L1 interactions and undergo mutations to avoid being targeted by tumor antigen-specific T cells. Thus, tumor cells escape the immune surveillance by causing immune tolerance. We reason that a chimeric molecule made of a PD-L1-specific antibody linked to a cleavable antigenic peptide can target the antigenic peptide to the tumor microenvironment, resulting in the blockade of the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway and killing tumor cells through the coating of antigenic peptide. Here, we have generated a therapeutic chimeric protein containing the PD-L1 single-chain variable fragment (scFv) linked to a cleavable model cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) epitope: E7 CTL peptide. Our study demonstrated that our chimeric protein (named PDL1-scFv-Fc-RE7) can target PD-L1-expressing tumor cells and enable E7 presentation by releasing cleavable E7 CTL peptide to coat tumor cells, resulting in tumor clearance by E7-specific CD8+ T cells. The presentation of the E7 peptide by cancer cells can then render tumor cells susceptible to the killing of preexisting E7-specific CD8+ T cells and contribute to tumor clearance. Boron-doped titanium dioxide nanoparticles (B–TiO 2 NPs) were prepared by a sol-gel method. The physicochemical properties of B–TiO 2 NPs were characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, ultraviolet–visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The band structure and electrical properties of B–TiO 2 NPs were investigated using the first-principle. The effects of the concentration gradient of doping B ions on the photocatalytic antibacterial activity of B–TiO 2 NPs under visible-light irradiation were investigated by the inhibition zone method and the shaking flask method. The experimental results show that B–TiO 2 NPs are mainly composed of the anatase phase, but no B-related phase was observed. With the increase of the doping amount of boron ions, the particle size decreases and the specific surface area increases. B atoms mainly exist in the form of substitutional dopant and interstitial dopant. Theoretical calculations reveal that B atoms in the TiO 2 matrix exist much more easily as interstitial dopant, but B–TiO 2 NPs composed of B substituted dopant have better photocatalytic performance. The results of the antibacterial assays show that B–TiO 2 NPs have strong antibacterial activities and some bactericidal activities. Evidence for a relationship between total copper intake and cognition is lacking, and few studies have assessed the moderating effect of dietary fat and saturated fatty acid (SFA) intake on this relationship. Our aim was to explore the curvilinear association between total copper intake and cognitive function in older adults, and to clarify the moderating effect of dietary fat and SFA intake on the association. This was a cross-sectional analysis of data from National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys 2011-2014. The analysis included 2,483 participants aged 60 years and older. Cognitive function was evaluated by the Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease (CERAD) Word Learning subtest, the Animal Fluency Test, and the Digit Symbol Substitution Test (DSST). Smooth curve fitting and two-piecewise linear regression models were performed to address the nonlinear association between total copper intake and cognitive function. Multivariable quadratic regression models and analyses stratified by total fat or SFA intake were used to assess the effects of the interaction between copper and fat intake and between copper and SFA intake on cognitive function. There was a nonlinear association between total copper intake and cognitive test scores. The inflection point of copper was 0.8 mg/d for the Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease Word Learning subtest and 1.4 mg/d for both the Animal Fluency test and the DSST. When copper intake was below the inflection point, positive associations were apparent for copper intake and Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease Word Learning subtest scores (β = 3.9; 95% CI 1.2 to 6.5), Animal Fluency test scores (β = 1.7, 95% CI.9 to 2.6), and DSST scores (β = 6.0, 95% CI 3.8 to 8.3). When copper intake was above the inflection point, a nonsignificant downward trend was found. Interactive effects between total copper and total fat intake (P interaction =.000) and between total copper and SFA intake (P interaction =.011) on the DSST scores were observed. In the low fat intake and low SFA intake groups, DSST scores first increased and then decreased with increasing copper. However, in the high fat intake and high SFA intake groups, DSST scores first increased and then flattened with increasing copper. The present study suggests a nonlinear association between copper intake and cognitive function and identifies threshold effects of copper intake on cognitive function. Copper intake below the inflection point was positively and independently associated with cognitive function. Objective: To translate the English version of general medication adherence scale (GMAS) into a Chinese version and test its reliability and validity in Chinese patients with chronic diseases.Methods: After translating the original English version into Chinese (GMAS-C) following the forward-backward translation and expert review procedure, we conducted a pilot study among 10 chronic disease patients. Each patient took about 10 min to complete the scale and was asked about the difficulty of understanding or filling the scale. Then a total of 312 patients aged 18 years or older with chronic illness were selected from the outpatient departments of two tertiary hospitals and a community center in Tianjin from April 2019 to May 2020 by convenience sampling. Cronbach's α coefficient, item-total correlation and test-retest reliability were used to evaluate the scale reliability; expert evaluation method was used to evaluate the content validity of the scale; and exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and known group validity were used to evaluate the construct validity of the scale.Results: As a result of the adaptation process, the GMAS-C's structure was determined. It included 3 dimensions and 11 items and was reliable and valid for Chinese patients with chronic diseases. Total Cronbach's α coefficient of the scale was 0.781 and test-retest reliability coefficient was 0.883 after two weeks. The item-level content validity indexes (CVIs) were ≥ 0.78 for all items. A Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin test and Bartlett' test of sphericity test indicated that the sample met the requirements of factor analysis. Exploratory factor analysis extracted three factors with eigenvalue >1, and 60% of the total variance was explained by three-factor solution. Confirmatory factor analysis showed acceptable fit indices (χ2/df = 1.58, IFI = 0.96, TLI = 0.94, CFI = 0.96 and RMSEA = 0.05).Conclusions: The GMAS-C demonstrates satisfactory reliability and validity. This scale can be a clinically useful tool to identify the levels of medication adherence and possible barriers for adherence of the medication regime in patients with chronic diseases. To construct a protein fingerprint database of Haemophilus parasuis (H. parasuis), thus improving its clinical diagnosis efficiency. A total of 15 H. parasuis standard strains were collected to establish a protein fingerprint database of H. parasuis using matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS), and the effects of different culture media and culture time on the quality and identification results of the protein fingerprint were investigated. The results showed that tryptone soy agar (TSA) and tryptone soy broth (TSB) media and different incubation times had no significant effect on the characteristic peaks of the protein profiles. In addition, 18 clinical isolates were used to compare the identification results of the self-built protein fingerprint database, PCR detection, and basic database. Only one strain was identified in the original VITEK-MS system database, while the self-made protein fingerprint database of H. parasuis was 100% accurate for the detection of 18 clinical isolate strains. The protein fingerprint database of H. parasuis built by our laboratory is suitable for rapid clinical diagnosis of H. parasuis, due to its high accuracy, efficiency, and strong specificity. Gangliosides (GLSs) are ubiquitously distributed in all tissues but highly enriched in nervous system. Currently, it is unclear how exogenous GLSs regulate neuritogenesis, although neural functions of endogenous GLSs are widely studied. Herein, we evaluated the neuritogenic activities and mechanism of sea urchin gangliosides (SU-GLSs) in vitro. These different glycosylated SU-GLSs, including GM4(1S), GD4(1S), GD4(2A), and GD4(2G), promoted differentiation of NGF-induced PC12 cells in a dose-dependent and structure-selective manner. Sulfate-type and disialo-type GLSs exhibited stronger neuritogenic effects than monosialoganglioside GM1. Furthermore, SU-GLSs might act as neurotrophic factors possessing neuritogenic effects, via targeting tyrosine-kinase receptors (TrkA and TrkB) and activating MEK1/2-ERK1/2-CREB and PI3K-Akt-CREB pathways. This activation resulted in increased expression and secretion of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and nerve growth factor (NGF). These pathways were verified by specific inhibitors. Sphingolipids (SLs) are ubiquitous structural components of cell membranes and are essential for cell functions under physiological conditions or during disease progression. Abundant evidence supports that SLs and their metabolites, including ceramide (Cer), ceramide-1-phosphate (C1P), sphingosine (So), sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P), are signaling molecules that regulate a diverse range of cellular processes and human health. However, there are limited reviews on the emerging roles of exogenous dietary SLs in human health. In this review, we discuss the ubiquitous presence of dietary SLs, highlighting their structures and contents in foodstuffs, particularly in sea foods. The digestion and metabolism of dietary SLs is also discussed. Focus is given to the roles of SLs in both the etiology and prevention of diseases, including bacterial infection, cancers, neurogenesis and neurodegenerative diseases, skin integrity, and metabolic syndrome (MetS). We propose that dietary SLs represent a "functional" constituent as emerging strategies for improving human health. Gaps in research that could be of future interest are also discussed. Aeolian sediments are widely distributed in the Qaidam Basin (QB) on the northeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP) and are ideal carriers of information for studying the environmental evolution of the basin. However, due to factors such as dry denudation and glacier erosion, there is a lack of palaeo-aeolian sediment records in the late glacial period. This study applied quartz optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating to fluvial-aeolian sequences in the TLH profile, which were exposed by river downcutting in the Tora River. In addition, OSL ages were combined with grain size and chemical elements to explore the sedimentary and environmental changes in the late glacial period recorded by palaeo-aeolian sediments in the QB. The results show that aeolian sediment accumulated earlier than the last glacial period in the QB and that the QB experienced multiple alternations of drying and wetting during this period. From approximately 70.45 ka BP to 60.87 ka BP, thick aeolian sediment with noticeable cross-bedding developed in this location, suggesting relatively dry environmental conditions and intense sand activities. From 60.87 ka BP to 58.56 ka BP, the environmental proxies revealed two distinct layers of fluvial deposits, with relatively coarse average grain sizes and weak chemical weathering, indicating wetter conditions. This region experienced alternations of drying and wetting between 58.56 ka BP and 41.09 ka BP, resulting in an aeolian sand layer and a freeze-thaw folded layer. Background: Pregnancy-related anxiety plays a major role in shaping offspring's neural development. However, its gender-specific effect on children's emotional and behavioral development is controversial and the knowledge of critical period is limited. This study aims to examine gender-specific effect of pregnancy-related anxiety on preschooler's emotional and behavioral development.Methods: This study was based on the China-Anhui Birth Cohort Study (C-ABCS). A total of 3443 mother-child pairs were included in final data analysis. Pregnancy-related anxiety was assessed by Pregnancy-Related Anxiety Questionnaire respectively in the 1st and 3rd trimester of pregnancy. Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaires (SDQ) were completed by parents to assess preschool emotional and behavioral development in boys and girls. Logistic regression models were used to examine the association between pregnancy-related anxiety and preschoolers' emotional and behavioral problems.Results: The overall prevalence of pregnancy-related anxiety was 31.6%. Compared with those whose mothers without pregnancy-related anxiety in either 1st or 3rd trimester, preschool boys born of mothers with pregnancy-related anxiety in the 1st trimester and in the 3rd trimester had an increased risk of conduct problems. Pregnancy-related anxiety in the 1st, 3rd trimester and in both trimesters all related with preschool boys' hyperactivity and total difficult problems. Pregnancy-related anxiety in the 1st trimester and in both 1st and 3rd trimester increased the risk of preschool girls' emotional problems and total difficult problems.Conclusion: Pregnancy-related anxiety may relate with preschool boys' externalizing problems in early and late of pregnancy and increase the risk of internalizing problems in girls in early pregnancy.Limitations: There was no data on pregnancy-related anxiety in the second trimester. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remains recalcitrant to effective treatment due to tumor relapse and acquired resistance. Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are believed to be one mechanism for relapse and resistance and are consequently considered promising drug targets. We report that chetomin, an active component of Chaetomium globosum, blocks heat shock protein 90/hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha (Hsp90/HIF1α) pathway activity. Chetomin also attenuated sphere-forming, a stem cell-like characteristic, of NSCLC CSCs (at ~ nM range) and the proliferation of non-CSCs NSCLC cultures and chemoresistant sublines (at ~ μM range). At these concentrations, chetomin exerted a marginal influence on noncancerous cells originating from several organs. Chetomin markedly decreased in vivo tumor formation in a spontaneous KrasLA1 lung cancer model, flank xenograft models, and a tumor propagation flank implanted model at doses that did not produce an observable toxicity to the animals. Alloy Sb as an anode material for Li ion batteries (LIBs) suffers from severe volume expansion and structural breakdown during lithiation process, leading to a abrupt drop of battery cycle performance. The density functional theory is used to explore the adsorption and diffusion of Li atom in the two dimensional graphene/β-antimonene (G/Sb) heterostructure. Our calculation results reveal that the G/Sb heterostructure possesses excellent thermodynamic and dynamic stability with the 0.06 eV band gap, which is much smaller than that of monolayer Sb (1.24 eV) and can insure fast electron transport in the electrode during lithiation/delithiation process. The calculated smaller Li diffusion energy barrier and volume expansion, together with the larger Li diffusion coefficient at 300 K explore greater charge/discharge performance for the G/Sb heterostructure than the corresponding parent bulk, monolayer, and bilayer materials. This is mainly because the monolayer β-Sb within the G/Sb heterostructure can render larger strain compared with that of the pristine β-Sb. We also evaluate the performance of the G/Sb heterostructure as the anode of LIBs by charge analysis and density of states. These results provide conclusive evidence to explore that the G/Sb heterostructure should be a promising candidate anode for flexible and wearable LIBs. This combination served as an ultra-efficient chemoenzymatic catalyst system for one-pot dynamic kinetic resolution (DKR) of rac -1-phenylethylamine leading to optically pure product (>99% ee value) with almost full conversion and excellent selectivity (>99%) without the aid of any additive. Significantly, aliphatic amines can be also efficiently converted to enantiomerically pure products, making this robust and heterogeneous combination one of the most powerful chemoenzymatic platforms for microwave-assisted one-pot DKR of amines available up to now. Non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) continues to top the list of cancer mortalities worldwide. The role of circular RNAs (circRNAs) in tumorigenesis has been increasingly appreciated, although it is relatively unexplored in NSCLC. Herein, we report on the role of circP4HB in NSCLC. First, we evaluated circP4HB levels in patient-derived NSCLC tissue versus paired healthy samples. Next, we conducted experiments in vitro in NSCLC cell-lines and in vivo in a murine xenograft NSCLC model to assess the impact of circP4HB on epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in vitro and metastasis in vivo. The downstream impact of circP4HB on the microRNA miR-133a-5p, and its target the EMT marker vimentin, were also evaluated. NSCLC tumor specimens exhibited higher circP4HB levels in comparison to paired healthy lung samples and was associated with metastatic disease and poorer survival. circP4HB promoted EMT and vimentin expression in vitro and xenograft metastasis in vivo through sequestration of miR-133a-5p. Conclusion: circP4HB enhances EMT and metastatic disease through miR-133a-5p sequestration, leading to upregulation of vimentin. Background: Enteric methane from the ruminant livestock is a significant source in global greenhouse gas emissions, which is mainly generated by the methanogens inhabiting the rumen and cecum. Sika deer (Cervus nippon) not only produces less methane than bovine, but they also harbor a distinct methanogen community. Whereas, knowledge of methanogens colonization in the rumen and cecum of sika deer is relatively still unknown, which could provide more insights to the manipulation of gut microbiota during early life. Results: Here, we examined the development of bacteria and methanogens in the rumen and cecum of juvenile sika deer from birth to post-weaning (1 day, 42 days and 70 days, respectively) based on next generation sequencing. The results showed that the facultative anaerobic bacteria were decreased and the cellulolytic bacteria were increased. However, methanogens established soon after birth thrived through the whole developmental period, indicating a different succession process than bacteria in the GIT, and the limited role of age and dietary change on GIT methanogens. We also found Methanobrevibacter spp. (Mean relative abundance = 44.2%) and Methanocorpusculum spp. (Mean relative abundance = 57.5%) were dominated in the rumen and cecum, respectively. The methanogens also formed specific correlations with bacteria under different niches, suggesting a role of ecology niche on methanogen community. Conclusions: This study contributes to our knowledge about the microbial succession in GIT of sika deer, that may facilitate the development of targeted strategies to improve GIT function of sika deer. To realize practical applications of lithium-sulfur batteries, rational strategies have to be applied to overcome obstacles such as the shuttle effect and sluggish reaction kinetics of soluble long-chain lithium polysulfides (LPS). In this work, highly electrocatalytic active amorphous Al 2 O 3 uniformly dispersed in porous carbon (Al 2 O 3 /C) anchored on carbon cloth (CC) was successfully fabricated. The resultant flexible Al 2 O 3 /C@CC was used as an independent interlayer for Li-S batteries, demonstrating strong physical confinement and chemical binding ability for LPS, as well as high catalytic activity for LPS conversion kinetics due to a synergistic effect of 3D conductive network, amorphous nature of Al 2 O 3 /C, porous structure and abundant active sites. The cells with such interlayer exhibit high specific capacity, superior cycling stability and rate capability, 903 mAh/g at 0.2C after 100 cycles and 810 mAh/g at 1.0C after 300 cycles can be achieved, moreover, 741 mAh/g can still be retained at a high rate of up to 5.0C. By contrast, Al-MOF grown on carbon cloth (Al-MOF@CC) exhibits limited performance improvement due to poor electrical conductivity, low structure stability, as well as limited ion diffusion rate and weak Lewis acid-base interactions due to lack of open channels. Zinc-based aqueous dual-ion batteries (ADIBs) with halogen-graphite intercalation compound positive electrodes are among the most competitive candidates for next-generation electrochemical energy storage systems. However, most of the electrolytes employed have been gel-like electrolytes; hence, a fundamental understanding of the halogen storage process using fluid hydrates will be essential for constructing efficient Zn-based ADIBs. Herein, the halogen storage mechanism on a graphite electrode from fluid ZnCl2/ZnBr2 hydrates is studied by experimental and computational methods. The results indicate that the halogen storage mechanism is a competition between conversion and intercalation. Moreover, the macroscopic electrode reaction is determined by both the ion-pair solvation state at the graphite–electrolyte interface and the subsequent reactant supply is influenced by the electrode reaction rate. The growth of dendrites and the hydrogen evolution reaction pose significant challenges to the development of Zn metal aqueous batteries as a promising solution for energy storage. Herein, trisodium nitrilotriacetate (Na3NTA) as an electrolyte additive is shown to improve the reversibility of the zinc plating–stripping process. NTA3− anions possess the potential not only to substitute water molecules in the solvation sheath of Zn2+ ions but also to construct a zincophilic electrolyte/Zn anode interface and suppress the activity of water molecules for stabilizing the Zn anode. The introduction of Na3NTA can effectively suppress side reactions arising from active water decomposition and simultaneously lead to the formation of a well‐defined (002) texture structure. As a result, a Zn||Zn symmetric cell with a modified electrolyte demonstrates a lifespan of up to 3000 h at a cutoff capacity of 1 mA h cm−2. Furthermore, a Zn||V2O5 full cell exhibits an enhanced capacity retention of 83.2% even after undergoing 8000 cycles. No noticeable dendrites are observed even after long cycles in both symmetric and full cells. Due to the cost‐effective material and ease of fabrication of the Na3NTA additive, this electrolyte strategy may promote the industrial application of aqueous zinc ion batteries. Investigating the constitutive relationship and the damage failure mechanism of solid propellants is of significance for improving the safety, storage period and use efficiency of solid rocket motors. This paper focuses on the complex mechanical response behavior of composite solid propellants under loads and introduces experimental research on quasi-static and dynamic mechanical properties. Limited by the accuracy of instruments and testing methods, the research progress of macroscopic constitutive models, mesoscopic mechanical models and microscopic molecular models is summarized from the perspective of numerical simulations based on model scale and modeling methods. This paper tracks the historical progress of key models and summarizes the main achievements and prospects in this field. The research in this paper has high scientific and theoretical significance and engineering application value. It can provide an important reference and guidance for the structural optimization and performance improvement of solid propellants and lay a solid foundation for the development of solid rocket motors. The occurrence and origin of pore-lining chlorites in sandstone were studied using mineralogical and crystal chemical analysis and their effectiveness on preserving porosity was discussed. During the sedimentary period of the middle Yanchang Formation, the two provenance and sedimentary systems of the southwest and northeast developed in the southwest Ordos Basin. In the Northeast of the study area, the content of biotite flakes is approximately 10 vol%. Pore-lining chlorites prefer to grow on the surfaces of fine-grained detrital quartz and feldspar but not on ductile grains such as biotite. Pore-lining chlorites that developed during the early stage of eodiagenesis (< 90 °C) probably locally increased the compressive strength of the rock, in places with residual intergranular pores. The chlorites within different sand bodies show slight variations in their chemical composition. After initial mechanical compaction, the formation of authigenic chlorites (brunsvigite and diabantite) was probably related to the hydrolysis and alteration of biotite fragments and the migration of diagenetic fluid. In the Northeast, only 2 vol% of the chlorite rims significantly inhibited quartz overgrowth, preserving the primary porosity. However, they probably blocked and delayed the dissolution of acids to feldspar. The porosity probably decreased when the authigenic chlorite content exceeded 9.38 vol%. In the Southwest, the authigenic chlorite is rare and quartz-overgrown cement is widespread, causing poor reservoir quality. Authigenic chlorites increase with the content of biotite flakes in the northeast and southwestern parts of the study area, but excess ductile biotite flakes and authigenic chlorites have negative effects on reservoir quality. Adopting the first-principles calculations based on the density functional theory (DFT) with the generalized gradient approximation (GGA) exchange-correlation functional, which are organized in a high-throughput workflow, the structural properties, site preference and magnetic properties of compounds La 3 Co 29− x Ni x Si 4 B 10 in tetragonal crystal system are studied. To cross check our results, the calculated lattice parameters of the undoped La 3 Co 29 Si 4 B 10 and the mean magnetic moment of its Co atoms are in consistence with existing experimental results. The interatomic distances and local environments of each Co (Ni) site are investigated. The calculated results show that Ni atoms prefer to substitute the Co atoms on the 8i3 site, based on the cohesive energy analysis. Furthermore, the total magnetic moment and electronic density of states of La 3 Co 29− x Ni x Si 4 B 10 are calculated with varying number of Co substituted by Ni. In addition, the charge density distribution of La 3 Co 29− x Ni x Si 4 B 10 indicates that an ionic bond are formed between Co/Ni and B. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper is concerned with application of expectation maximization (EM) algorithm for deriving an adaptive version of divided difference filter for joint state estimation and multiplicative parameter identification of nonlinear system with the colored measurement noise. Owing to the fact that there exist a mutual coupling and interaction of state and parameter on each other, it requires a joint or simultaneous estimation of both state and parameter by a mutual iteration, and justly, EM iterates Expectation (E-)step and Maximization (M-)step to meet such requirement. Firstly, E-step involves state filtering and smoothing issues under knowing the previous parameter identification results, which is well solved by resorting to the Gaussian approximation with a trade-off between accuracy and complexity. Further, such Gaussian approximation estimators are applied for evaluating the condition expectation of complete-data likelihood function, nonlinearly characterized by the multiplicative parameter needed to be optimized. Secondly, M-step deals with the maximization of the condition expectation by directly making its derivative as zero to obtain the current general parameter identification equation as the nonlinear integral. Thirdly, by iteratively operating E-step and M-step, an adaptive divided difference filter is proposed for joint state estimation and parameter identification by using the second-order Stirling interpolation to compute the associated nonlinear integral. Finally, the robust performance of the EM-based adaptive version of divided difference filter to the unknown or time-varying multiplicative parameter, as compared with the standard augmentation method, is demonstrated by a maneuvering target tracking example. The use of blood meal was studied for in-site bioremediation of contaminated farmland soil. The combination of blood meal and indigenous microorganisms helped to in-site remediate the combined contaminated aging farmland soil of DDTs and PAH in Shenyang, China. The concentration of DDTs and PAHs was 47.94 ± 0.63 μg/kg and 690.10 ± 5.16 μg/kg, respectively. Biostimulation using blood meal or glucose promoted the bioremediation rate of DDTs and PAHs. Compared to glucose, blood meal was a longer term repair additive of DDTs and PAHs, and the remediation result was more efficient and durable. In the blood meal treatment, plowing the soil once every 7 days could increase the soil enzyme activities and bacterial populations, and it could significantly promote the remediation rates of DDTs (P< 0.05) and more evidently promote the remediation rates of PAHs. The DDTs and PAHs remediation rates increased from 32.18% and 20.17% to 43.41% and 26.09%, respectively, in soil treated with blood meal and plowed weekly after the five month remediation. This paper mainly presents the influence of the reinforcement structure and matrix microstructure on the ablation mechanism and tensile progressive failure of carbon/phenolic 2.5D woven composites. Two types of carbon/boron-modified phenolic 2.5D woven composites, named CDP (1.46 g/cm3) and CLP (1.23 g/cm3), were prepared by adjusting the resin concentration. The specimens were subjected to oxyacetylene flame ablation tests with different ablation times (30 s and 60 s), and the internal features were obtained by X-ray micro-computed tomography (Micro-CT). Tensile mechanical properties of 2.5D woven composites before and after ablation were characterized in combination with acoustic emission (AE). The results indicated that the microstructure of the matrix has an important influence on the ablative properties of the specimens. Specifically, CDP exhibited a better linear ablation rate (0.029 mm/s), while CLP indicated a lower mass ablation rate (0.019 g/s). Furthermore, the strength and modulus of the specimens were reduced after ablation, in which CLP retained higher post-ablation residual properties, 38.82% of the original strength and 68.31% of the original modulus, than CDP. In hybrid perovskites, the organic molecules and inorganic frameworks exhibit distinct static and dynamic characteristics. Their coupling will lead to fascinating phenomena, such as large polarons, dynamic Rashba–Dresselhaus effects, etc. In this paper, deep potential molecular dynamics (DPMD) is employed, a large‐scale MD simulation scheme with DFT accuracy, to study hybrid perovskites formamidinium lead iodide (FAPbI3) and methylamonium lead iodide (MAPbI3). A spontaneous hybrid nano‐domain behavior, namely multiple molecular rotation nano‐domains embedded into a single [PbI6]4− octahedra rotation domain, is first discovered at low temperatures. The behavior originates from the interplay between the long range order of molecular rotation and local lattice deformation, and clarifies the puzzling structural features of FAPbI3 at low temperatures. The work provides new insights into the structural characteristics and stability of hybrid perovskite, as well as new ideas for the structural characterization of organic–inorganic coupled systems. Fasciolosis is a neglected zoonotic parasitic disease caused by liver flukes, Fasciola hepatica. F. hepatica is harmful to livestock and human health. However, changes in host metabolism caused by F. hepatica infection are unclear. An artificial sheep model was established as follows. The sheep in the infection group were fed with 220 metacercariae obtained by incubating F. hepatica miracidia with the intermediate host snail (Galba pervia). Thereafter, serum and blood were collected from these sheep periodically. Changes in 31 biochemical parameters were systematically tested over different periods of infection. Metabolomic analysis was performed based on liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC-MS) technology using a UHPLC system. Differentially expressed metabolites were analyzed for biomarkers, and changes in the metabolic pathways of the host were evaluated. Ten biochemical parameters (TP, ALB, GLB, DBIL, IBIL, GGT, LDH, CHOL, HDL-C, and BUN) showed significant dynamic changes during the study period. For metabolomic analysis: 13, 27, and 82 differential metabolites (ESI+ mode) and 0, 37, and 83 differential metabolites (ESI- mode) were found on 7, 56, and 98 dpi, respectively. The number of different metabolic pathways increased with disease development. Five metabolites had the highest area under the curve (AUC) value as joint diagnostic factors, indicating their potential use as biomarkers for diagnosing F. hepatica infection. This study establishes the F. hepatica life cycle in an artificial model of sheep infected with F. hepatica to identify changes in metabolic pathways in the host due to infection. Biochemical parameters and metabolomic analysis revealed that not only the biomarkers screened by differentially expressed metabolites have the potential to diagnose F. hepatica infection in sheep, but the differential pathways and biochemical parameters also explain the metabolic pathway changes in the sheep infected with F. hepatica. F. hepatica absorbs the nutrients of the host and destroys the essential metabolic pathways of the host. This result suggests that animal metabolism can be altered in the host as a response to parasitic infections such as F. hepatica. Fibre-reinforced composites have shown a growing interest in pressure-resistant materials for deep-sea use due to their excellent properties. This paper presents the influence of the moisture absorption on the mechanical properties and damage mechanisms of three-dimensional six-directional (3D6D) braided composites under hydrostatic pressure. The bisphenol A epoxy resin, bisphenol F epoxy resin, and hydrogenated bisphenol A epoxy resin, are chosen. SEM and X-ray Micro-CT are employed to investigate the moisture absorption, tensile and compressive damage before and after subjecting to the hydrostatic pressure. Results show that the bisphenol F carbon/epoxy composite has the lowest porosity at 0.082% among the three composite materials. The average moisture absorption was the lowest at 0.3755%. Furthermore, moisture is mainly transported along micro cracks in the matrix and the fiber-matrix interface under hydrostatic pressure. After the composites absorb moisture, the average tensile strength retention rates of bisphenol A carbon/epoxy composite, bisphenol F carbon/epoxy composite, and hydrogenated bisphenol A carbon/epoxy composites drop to 88.282%, 76.34%, and 66.43%, respectively. Moreover, their average compressive strength retention rates drop to 53.15%, 74.26%, and 83.45%, respectively. The tensile and compressive strengths of the 3D6D braided composites decreased significantly after moisture absorption, mainly due to fiber-matrix debonding and matrix cracking. • A Hydrostatic pressure simulator is used to perform the moisture absorption experiments on (3D6D braided composites. • Micro-CT is used to characterize the porosity and damage distribution of 3D6D braided composites. • The damage evolution of 3D6D braided composites subjected to the hydrostatic pressure is presented innovatively. • The tensile and compressive failure mechanisms of 3D6D braided composites after moisture absorption are investigated. As a promising group of natural bioactive lipids, ether-phospholipids (ether-PLs), exhibit the ability to attenuate high-fat diet (HFD)-induced lipid accumulation and atherosclerosis. However, the underlying mechanism is unclear. Autophagy has been implicated in the regulation of obesity. Therefore, we investigated the effects of dietary ether-PLs on hepatic steatosis and the activation of hypothalamic autophagy. HFD-fed C57BL/6J mice were orally administered with ether-PLs (150 mg/kg body weight) including plasmenyl phosphatidylethanolamine (PE-P) and plasmanyl phosphatidylcholine (PC-O) for three days or eight weeks. Ether-PLs supplementation relieved diet-induced hepatic lipid accumulation and regulated the hypothalamic peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) and CD36. Notably, PE-P activated hypothalamic autophagy more strongly than PC-O, with an increased ratio of microtubule-associated protein light chain 3 II/I (LC3II/I) and reduced p62/sequestosome-1 (p62) accumulation by rescuing the HFD-impaired autophagy-lysosome fusion. The phosphorylation of ULK1 mediated by Akt-mTOR and AMPK, was involved in ether-PLs activated autophagy. Furthermore, the enhanced hypothalamic autophagy promoted the production of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH), which has been reported to maintain energy balance. It is concluded that ether-PLs ameliorated HFD-induced hypothalamic autophagy and ameliorated hepatic steatosis.
