2. Direct 3D information fusion for depth of field enhancement in optical-resolution photoacoustic microscopy

Abstract

As an important branch of photoacoustic microscopy, optical-resolution photoacoustic microscopy suffers from limited depth of field due to the strongly focused laser beam. In this work, a 3D information fusion algorithm based on 3D stationary wavelet transform and joint weighted evaluation optimization is proposed to fuse multi-focus photoacoustic data to achieve large-volumetric and high-resolution 3D imaging. First, a three-dimensional stationary wavelet transform was performed on the multi-focus data to obtain eight wavelet coefficients. Differential evolution algorithm based on joint weighted evaluation was then employed to optimize the block size of division for each wavelet coefficient. Corresponding sub-coefficients of multi-focus 3D data were fused with the proposed fusion rule utilizing standard deviation for focus detection. Finally, photoacoustic microscopy with large depth of field can be achieved by applying the inverse stationary wavelet transform on the 8 fused sub-coefficients. The fusion result of multi-focus vertically tilted fiber shows that the depth of field of optical-resolution photoacoustic microscopy is doubled without sacrificing lateral resolution via the proposed method. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the proposed method was verified through the fusion results of multi-focus vessel data. Our work provides a feasible solution for achieving large-volumetric, high-resolution photoacoustic microscopy for further data analysis, processing and applications.

18. Identification of Characteristic Odorants in Duck Meat by Headspace-Gas Chromatography-Ion Mobility Spectrometry

Abstract

The characteristic odorants in duck breast, leg and clavicle meat cooked at 60 and 90 ℃ were analyzed by headspace gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry (HS-GC-IMS) and were identified by sensory evaluation, electronic nose measurement and flavor substance evaluation. The results showed that duck breast, leg and clavicle meat cooked at 90 ℃ had a stronger odor than at 60 ℃, and there were differences in the odor characteristics of different groups of duck meat samples, which was also confirmed by electronic nose analysis. A total of 61 volatile flavor compounds were identified by HS-GC-IMS. The types of volatile substances in different groups of duck meat samples were basically the same, but there were differences in their relative contents. Based on the sensory evaluation results and the relative odor activity values (ROAV) of flavor substances, a total of 12 characteristic odorants were identified, including nonanal, octanal, heptanal, decanal, pentanal, hexanal, (E)-2-octenal, (E)-2-heptenal, 2-methyl-butanal, 3-methyl-butanal, 2-heptanone and 1-octene-3-ol. The interaction between these substances contributed significantly to the formation of the odor of duck meat. Due to the differences in the types and contents of odorants, duck meat samples cooked at 60 and 90 ℃ had distinct odor characteristics.

Abstract

Surface layer is an important part of foundation pit supporting system. For the purpose of designing the surface layer reasonably, this paper established a forced model of the surface layer by using the small deflection bending theory of thin plate, and the forced analysis was carried out on the surface layer of shotcrete foundation pit support type. In order to simplify the calculation, the concrete surface layer is assumed to be an elastic body, and the surface layer is simplified as a rectangular thin plate with four sides simply supported on the foundation pit slope, which derives in the general expressions of the deflection and bending moment of the bottom layer under active earth pressure. And the bending moment and deflection of the bottom layer after the foundation pit excavation are simulated by the finite difference software FLAC3D. The results show that the theoretical values of the deflection and bending moment are in agreement with those of numerical simulation, the margin of error between the calculation value and the simulation value of the maximum deflection and maximum bending moment are 6 % and 13 % respectively, the distribution laws which simulation cloud pictures of the deflection and bending moment show are consistent with those calculated by the formulas. The deflection and bending moment both reduce gradually from the surface center to boundary, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method. The formulas can provide reference for the design of surface layer.
