Global organizations are still facing challenges in achieving sustainable performance despite the surge in digital technologies. It is imperative that firms invest in digital capabilities to secure sustainable market performance in the face of a barrage of novel inventions. Today, ensuring a resilient future demands business to focus on digital ambidexterity capabilities (i.e., exploitation and exploration), digitalized strategy adoption, and digital transformation. This study investigates the intricate dynamics between digital capabilities and digitalization strategies and their impact on sustainable business performance. The research employed a questionnaire-driven methodology to gather data from managerial personnel within industries. Results show that digital exploitation and exploration capabilities significantly enhance sustainable business performance. The research also establishes the beneficial effect of adopting a digitalization strategy on business performance and innovation. Market-driven business model innovation emerges as a critical factor, not only driving sustainable performance but also serving as a mediating link between various digital strategies and business success. Moreover, the study highlights the importance of digital leadership capabilities, further strengthening the relationship between innovative business models and sustainable performance. The findings underscore the synergistic effect of digital competencies and strategic digitalization in promoting sustainable and innovative practices in today's digital-driven business landscape.

In recent years, the unprecedented growth in environmental vulnerabilities has made the firms realize the need for environmental protection. With this, the rapid surge for ecological preservation has made worldwide businesses divert their focus toward greener practices that ensure the firm’s financial and environmental performance. This study examines the relationships between green management strategies (green dynamic capabilities, internal green supply chain management and green technology adoption), and organizational outcomes, specifically environmental and financial performance. The data was collected from the 471 employees working in the manufacturing firms. Utilizing the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method via Smart-PLS, our findings show the importance of integrating green practices in supply chain management, dynamic capabilities, and technology adoption to enhance both environmental and financial outcomes under the moderating role of industry dynamism and green knowledge acquisition.

Objective: To compare the efficacy of double-dose oral Terbinafine and Itraconazole in treating dermatophytic infections. Study Design: Randomized controlled trial (ClinicalTrials.gov: NCT04880980). Place and Duration of Study: Department of Dermatology, Pak Emirates Military Hospital, Rawalpindi Pakistan, from Mar 2021 to Mar 2022. Methodology: One hundred and twenty patients with dermatophyte infections of the skin (i.e., tinea corporis and cruris) diagnosed by clinical presentation and KOH mount were included in this study. After randomization, patients were divided into two groups. Group-A was managed with double-dose oral Terbinafine, while Group-B was managed with double-dose oral Itraconazole. Clinical response and side effects were seen and recorded initially at two weeks and then at four weeks.Efficacy and adverse effects were compared in both groups at the end of four weeks. Results: Out of 120 patients with dermatophyte infections of the skin included in the study, 59(49.2%) took double-dose oral Terbinafine while 61(50.8%) took double-dose oral Itraconazole after randomization. It was revealed that Itraconazole was more efficacious in achieving cure at the end of 4-weeks as compared to double dose Terbinafine (p-value=0.001), while adverse effects studied were not statistically significant or different in both the groups (p-value>0.005). Conclusion: This randomized controlled trial showed that double dose oral Itraconazole was more efficacious in treating dermatophyte infections of the skin (i.e., Tinea corporis and cruris) compared to double dose oral Terbinafine. Adverse effects were minimal in both groups and were not specially related to any of these medications.

Objective: To find the correlation between the degree of androgenetic alopecia and the severity of COVID-19 disease. Study Design: Cross-sectional study. Place and Duration of the Study: Dermatology department, PEMH, Rawalpindi Pakistan from Feb to Aug 2021. Methodology: A total of 227 patients (male and female) of COVID-19 admitted in a Corona ward of Pak Emirates Military Hospital, Rawalpindi, Pakistan were selected randomly. The degree of androgenetic alopecia was assessed with the help of using the Hamilton-Norwood Scale (HNS) for men and the Ludwig Scale (LS) for women, and the severity of COVID-19 was graded based on CT severity score (CTSS). Results: Out of the total, 161 (71%) were male, and 66 (29%) were female. Out of 161 males, 31 (19.2%) had no alopecia, and 130 (80.7%) had some degree of alopecia. Out of patients with alopecia, 33 had moderate alopecia, and 97 had severe alopecia. Out of 66 females, 32 (48.5%) had no alopecia, while 34 (51.5%) had some degree of alopecia. Conclusion: High frequency of androgenetic alopecia in severely ill-hospitalized patients of COVID-19 suggests that androgen has a vital role in the disease severity of COVID-19.

Having an exchange rate close to its equilibrium is critical for foreign investors and policymakers during times of macroeconomic instability. This study measures the real exchange rate (RER) misalignment in eight Pakistani manufacturing industries from January 2002 to June 2020. The ARDL approach is used to examine the long-run relationship between the RER and its fundamentals in each industry. The findings show that government spending and interest rates significantly explain RER at the aggregate and industrial levels. Furthermore, the misalignment of RER varies significantly across industries. Some industries have highly misaligned RER, while others have close to zero misalignments. These findings can assist us in making fiscal policy and competitive devaluation decisions to improve the trade deficit.

Standard theory of consumer behavior stands on the maxim of utility maximization. Optimizing behavior of consumer is achieved by maximization of utility subject to budget constraint. An increase in inflation that is not accompanied by proportionate increase in income can leave a consumer worse off. Therefore, it is imperative for consumers to have right assessment about inflation which in turn requires appropriate modelling of inflationary behavior. This study assesses efficacies of different versions of new Keynesian Phillips curve for capturing dynamics of CPI inflation. Estimation of different formulations of this curve is achieved by employing generalized method of moments. This choice of estimation technique is made to handle potential problem of endogeneity. Countries with different resource and market structures are included to evaluate and compare fitness of different formulations for different economies. Economies of Pakistan and Turkey represent developing economies, economy of South-Korea is incorporated for emerging market economy and economies of Canada, UK and US are included for developed economies. The results of this study reveal that internal as well as external factors are crucial for explaining inflationary behavior of developing economies. Whereas, dynamics of domestic inflation for advanced economies are mostly explained by internal factors.

Nanobiotechnology appears to be an emerging science which leads to new developments in the field of medicine. Importance of the magnetic nanomaterials in biomedical science cannot be overlooked. The most commonly used chemical methods to synthesize drugable magnetic nanobeads are co-precipitation, thermal decomposition and microemulsion. However monodispersion, selection of an appropriate coating material for in vivo application, stability and unique physical properties like size, shape and composition of nanobeads remain unsettled challenge. The use of hazardous reagents during chemical synthesis is another impediment for in vivo application of the magnetic nanobeads. The current minireview put forth the pros and cons of chemical and biological synthesis of magnetic nanobeads. We critically focus on chemical and biological methods of synthesis of the magnetic nanobeads along with their biomedical applications and subsequently suggest a suitable synthetic approach for potential biocompatible nanobeads. Biogenic synthesis is proposed to be the best option which generates biocompatible nanobeads. Reducing enzymes present in plants, plant materials or microbes reduce precursor inorganic salts to nano sized materials. These nanomaterials exhibit biomolecules on their surface.
