All-inorganic CsPbBr3 perovskite is an attractive emission material for high-stability perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs), due to the high thermal and chemical stability. However, the external quantum efficiencies (EQEs) of CsPbBr3 based PeLEDs are still far behind their organic–inorganic congeners. Massive defect states on the surface of CsPbBr3 perovskite grains should be the main reason. Lewis base additives have been widely used to passivate surface defects. However, systematic investigations which relate to improving the passivation effect via rational molecule design are still lacking. Here, we demonstrate that the CsPbBr3 film’s optical and electrical properties can be significantly boosted by tailoring the hardness–softness of the Lewis base additives. Three carboxylate Lewis bases with different tail groups are selected to in-situ passivate CsPbBr3 perovskite films. Our research indicates that 4-(trifluoromethyl) benzoate acid anion (TBA−) with the powerful electron-withdrawing group trifluoromethyl and benzene ring possesses the softest COO− bonding head. TBA− thus acts as a soft Lewis base and possesses a robust combination with unsaturated lead atoms caused by halogen vacancies. Based on this, the all-inorganic CsPbBr3 PeLEDs with a maximum EQE up to 16.75% and a half-lifetime over 129 h at an initial brightness of 100 cd m−2 is thus delivered.

The wider color gamut represents the better reproducibility of the real natural colors. Perovskite materials exhibit promising potential in full-color wide-gamut displays because of the wide tunability and high saturability of their photon emission. However, the full-color wide gamut (>100% Rec.2020) has not been constructed due to the lack of the extreme red primary color (∼700 nm). Herein, the widest color gamut is realized, wherein α-CsPbI3 is used to generate the extreme red primary color. An in-situ encapsulation approach is advised to stabilize α-CsPbI3 at room temperature by means of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP). The α-CsPbI3 encapsulated by PVP (denoted as P-CPI) shows highly saturated (FWHM (full width at half maximum) ∼28 nm) and extremely (∼697 nm) red emission. The green emission is provided by P-CPBr (CsPbBr3 with PVP) which is also synthesized using the universal in-situ encapsulation approach. In this study, we evaluated the effects of three factors, total ammonia, temperature and salinity, on the mortality of and viral proliferation in white spot syndrome virus ( WSSV)-infected Chinese shrimp. Shrimp maintained in 30‰ seawater at 25°C with 0.34 mg L−1 total ammonia (control group) were injected with approximately 20 WSSV particles per shrimp and subsequently subjected to the following conditions: 30‰ seawater at 25°C, with 6 mg L−1 (N1 group) or 14 mg L−1 (N2 group) total ammonia; 30‰ seawater at 18°C (T1 group) or 30°C (T2 group), with 0.34 mg L−1 total ammonia and 20‰ (S1 group) or 40‰ (S2 group) seawater at 25°C, with 0.34 mg L−1 total ammonia. An anova analysis revealed that the cumulative mortality of WSSV-infected Chinese shrimp was significantly lower when reared in the T1 group compared to that of the T2 and control group. Similarly, the mortality of the shrimp in the S1 group was also significantly lower than that of the S2 and control group. No significant differences were detected among the N1, N2 and control groups. Accordingly, the WSSV level in the T1 and S1 groups was significantly lower than those in the control, T2 or S2 groups respectively. No significant differences in viral loads were detected among the control, N1 and N2 groups. The transfer of Chinese shrimp to lower temperature and lower salinity enhanced their resistance to WSSV infection, whereas a change in the concentration of total ammonia had no significant effect on the mortalities and viral loads of WSSV-infected shrimp. ATP-gated P2X7 receptor (P2RX7) channel is a key component for purinergic signaling and plays important roles in the innate immune response in mammals. However, the expression, molecular properties and immune significances of P2RX7 in lower vertebrates are still very limited. Here we identified and characterized a novel bony fish P2RX7 homologue cDNA, termed poP2RX7, in Japanese flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus). PoP2RX7 protein shares about 60–88% sequence similarity and 45–78% sequence identity with known vertebrate P2RX7 proteins. Phylogenetic analysis placed poP2RX7 and other P2RX7 proteins within their own cluster apart from other P2RX members. While the functional poP2RX7 channel shares structural features in common with known P2RX7 homologs, electrophysiological studies revealed that BzATP, the more potent agonist for known mammalian and fish P2RX7s, shows similar potency to ATP in poP2RX7 activation. poP2RX7 mRNA constitutively expressed in all examined tissues from unstimulated healthy Japanese flounder with dominant expression in hepatopancreas and the lowest expression in head kidney, trunk kidney, spleen and gill. poP2RX7 mRNA expression, however, was significantly induced in Japanese flounder head kidney primary cells by Poly(I:C) and bacterial endotoxin LPS stimulations. In vivo experiments further revealed that poP2RX7 gene expression was substantially up-regulated by immune challenge with infectious bacteria Edwardsiella tarda and Vibrio anguillarum. Moreover, activation of poP2RX7 results in an increased gene expression of multifunctional cytokines IL-1β and IL-6 in the head kidney primary cells. Collectively, we identified and characterized a novel fish P2RX7 homolog which is engaged in Japanese flounder innate immune response probably through modulation of pro-inflammatory cytokines expression. Information about seasonal bacterial composition and diversity is of great value for exploitation of marine biological resources and improvement of ecological environment. Here PCR-amplified restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) of 16S rRNA genes was used to evaluate seasonal bacterial diversity and community composition in Bohai Bay. A total of 24 bacterial communities were sampled from seawater and sediment of three representative sites in a whole seasonal cycle: spring (April), summer (July), autumn (October), and winter (January). Bacterial Genomic DNA was extracted and PCR-amplified to obtain 16S rDNA fragments which were cloned to construct 24 16s rDNA libraries. Clones of each library were selected randomly for PCR-RFLP analysis of rDNA fragments, and eventually 101 genotypes were identified by RFLP fingerprintings. These 101 genotypes were sequenced and their respective phylotype was identified through the Blast tool of NCBI (similarity 96-100%) and phylogenetic analyses. Among our phylotypes, 80.2% belonged to the genera α-Proteobacteria, β-proteobacteria,γ-Proteobacteria, δ-Proteobacteria, ε-proteobacteria, Flavobacteria, Cytophaga-Flavobacteria-Bacteroides, Verrucomicrobia, Firmicutes and Actinobacteria. Sequence analyses revealed that 47.5% (48) of clone sequences were similar to those of uncultured marine bacteria in the environment. In addition, bacterial diversity and composition clearly displayed seasonal variety. Water-splitting has emerged as a promising alternative strategy to produce clean hydrogen fuel. However, current electrocatalytic water splitting suffers from sluggish kinetics, thus developing efficient electrocatalysts is crucial. Identifying reaction centers discloses the reaction mechanism and will undoubtedly facilitate the design and optimization of efficient water splitting electrocatalysts. This review summarizes several advances involving the identification of the actual active sites and intermediates capture on the catalytic surface. The morphology and valence states change on 2D materials are chose to illustrate how structural evolution affect catalytic activity. Specifically, in situ/ex situ electron microscopy techniques that used for the characterization of catalytic sites, and spectroscopy techniques that used to detect active intermediates at the molecular level are highlighted. In addition, several perspectives, such as the development of new in situ techniques and electrokinetic analysis methods, are emphasized to shed light on future research., (© 2022 Wiley-VCH GmbH.)
