Detecting the coalescences of massive black hole binaries (MBHBs) is one of the primary targets for space-based gravitational wave observatories such as LISA, Taiji, and Tianqin. The fast and accurate parameter estimation of merging MBHBs is of great significance for both astrophysics and the global fitting of all resolvable sources. However, such analyses entail significant computational costs. To address these challenges, inspired by the latest progress in generative models, we proposed a novel artificial intelligence (AI) based parameter estimation method called Variance Preserving Flow Matching Posterior Estimation (VPFMPE). Specifically, we utilize triangular interpolation to maintain variance over time, thereby constructing a transport path for training continuous normalization flows. Compared to the simple linear interpolation method used in flow matching to construct the optimal transport path, our approach better captures continuous temporal variations, making it more suitable for the parameter estimation of MBHBs. Additionally, we creatively introduce a parameter transformation method based on the symmetry in the detector's response function. This transformation is integrated within VPFMPE, allowing us to train the model using a simplified dataset, and then perform parameter estimation on more general data, hence also acting as a crucial factor in improving the training speed. In conclusion, for the first time, within a comprehensive and reasonable parameter range, we have achieved a complete and unbiased 11-dimensional rapid inference for MBHBs in the presence of astrophysical confusion noise using ODE-based generative models. In the experiments based on simulated data, our model produces posterior distributions comparable to those obtained by nested sampling.

Taiji program is a space mission aiming to detect gravitational waves in the low frequency band. Taiji-1 is the first technology demonstration satellite of the Taiji Program in Space, with the gravitational reference sensor (GRS) serving as one of its key scientific payloads. For accurate accelerometer measurements, the test-mass center of the GRS must be positioned precisely at the center of gravity of the satellite to avoid measurement disturbances caused by angular acceleration and gradient. Due to installation and measurement errors, fuel consumption during in-flight phase, and other factors, the offset between the test-mass center and the center-of-mass (COM) of the satellite can be significant, degrading the measurement accuracy of the accelerometer. Therefore, the offset needs to be estimated and controlled within the required range by the center-of-mass adjustment mechanism during the satellite's lifetime. In this paper, we present a novel method, the Extended Kalman Filter combined with Rauch-Tung-Striebel Smoother, to estimate the offset, while utilizing the chi-square test to eliminate outliers. Additionally, the nonlinear Least Squares estimation algorithm is employed as a crosscheck to estimate the offset of COM. The two methods are shown to give consistent results, with the offset estimated to be $dx \approx $$-$$0.19$ mm, $dy \approx 0.64$ mm, and $dz \approx $$-$$0.82$ mm. The results indicate a significant improvement on the noise level of GRS after the COM calibration, which will be of great help for the future Taiji program., Comment: 8 pages, 10 figures

Transition Radiation (TR) plays an important role in particle identification in high-energy physics and its characteristics provide a feasible method of energy calibration in the energy range up to 10 TeV, which is of interest for dark matter searches in cosmic rays. In a Transition Radiation Detector (TRD), the TR signal is superimposed onto the ionization energy loss signal induced by incident charged particles. In order to make the TR signal stand out from the background of ionization energy loss in a significant way, we optimized both the radiators and the detector. We have designed a new prototype of regular radiator optimized for a maximal TR photon yield, combined with the Side-On TRD which is supposed to improve the detection efficiency of TR. We started a test beam experiment with the Side-On TRD at Conseil Europ\'{e}en pour la Recherche Nucl\'{e}aire (CERN), and found that the experimental data is consistent with the simulation results., Comment: 13 pages, 10 figures, 2 tables
