ASperm cryopreservation is an effective fertility preservation method for cancer patients before anticancer treatments. However, there are little data on fertility preservation in large cohorts of patients with cancer in southern China. This retrospective cross-sectional study aimed to assess the fertility preservation status of 1034 newly diagnosed male patients with cancer in the Human Sperm Bank of Guangdong Province in southern China (Guangzhou, China). Of these, 302 patients had reproductive system tumors, mostly testicular cancers (99.0%), and 732 had other tumors, including lymphoma (33.1%), gastrointestinal cancer (16.3%), nasopharyngeal carcinoma (15.7%), leukemia (7.7%), sarcoma (3.6%), and others (23.6%). Patients with reproductive system tumors had lower sperm concentration and prefreezing and post-thawing progressive motility than those with non-reproductive system tumors (all P0.001). Differences in sperm concentration, progressive motility, and normal morphology rate were observed between patients with and without anticancer surgery before sperm cryopreservation (all P0.05). As of April 30, 2022, 63 patients used their cryopreserved sperm for assisted reproductive technology treatments and 39 pregnancies were achieved. This study provides valuable data on the fertility preservation status in newly diagnosed cancer patients in southern China, demonstrating that patients with reproductive system tumors had poor sperm quality for their pretreatment fertility preservation.

Background: Sperm cryopreservation is an effective method to fertility preservation for cancer patients before anti-cancer treatments. However, there were very few data on fertility preservation for the large number of cancer patients in South China.Objectives: To understand the fertility preservation status of newly diagnosed male cancer patients in South China.Methods: A retrospective cohort study was evaluated in 1034 cancer patients performed sperm cryopreservation in the human sperm bank of Guangdong Province in China between the years 2010 and 2021. The data were collected from medical records and analysed including demographics, cancer information, semen examination, and cryopreservation. Results: Of these 1034 cases, 302 had reproductive system tumors, mainly testicular cancers (99.0%), and 732 found non-reproductive system tumors, including lymphoma (33.1%), gastrointestinal cancer (16.3%), nasopharyngeal carcinoma (15.7%), leukemia (7.7%), sarcoma (3.6%) and others (23.6%). The number of cancer patients with sperm cryopreservation had been increasing since the last 12 years. The patients with reproductive system tumors had significantly lower sperm concentration, pre-freezing progressive motility, and post-thawing progressive motility than those with non-reproductive system tumors (pConclusions: This study provides valuable data derived from the geographical area for the understanding of its fertility preservation status, which demonstrates that reproductive system tumors greatly harmed the sperm quality of the patients prior to anti-cancer treatments and reflects more cancer patients would have strong willingness to undergo fertility preservation in South China.

In this paper, mainly research the surface soil heavy metal pollution in cities. First of all ,we find out the spatial distribution of eight kinds of main metal elements in the urban; we adopt the improved gray model to establish evaluation system about urban pollution heavy metal element degree, and then to evaluate the pollution degree of heavy metal element in the city area. Eight heavy metals have been in dimension reduction by means of correlation analysis and principal component analysis, comprehensive variables can be got. By calculating the rotating component matrix, we got objective reason of metal contamination. We analyzed transmission characteristics of heavy metal pollutants and build model to determine the location of the pollution sources. We introduced the field theory the basic assumption , calculated various factors which lead to the change of one point of concentration. The differential equation model can be got which reacted geological environment evolution mode through the mass conservation. Finally we determine the location of the pollution sources and the evolution of the urban geological environment mode.

A simple and novel method for increasing the gain at low elevation angle and widening the beamwidth of quadrifllar helix antenna (QHA) is presented. By adding cross dipoles as a re∞ector, the right hand circular polarization (RHCP) gain at 5 - elevation angle (µ = 85 - ) increases by about 1.4dB. Parametric studies are performed to explore the performance improvements. An antenna for CNSS (Compass Navigation Satellite System, 2.492GHz) application is realized based on the studies. The RHCP gain at 5 - elevation angle is about 0.6dB, and 3dB beamwidth is greater than 220 - . 10dB impedance bandwidth is more than 24%, and 3dB axial ratio bandwidth is more than 32%. Measured results are presented to validate the proposed method.

Silica particles are hydrophobized either by chemical graft of alkyl chains or by physical adsorption of cationic surfactants, alkyltrimethylammonium bromide. The effects of the two modification methods on the monolayer behavior of silica particles at the air/water interface are studied, as well as the packing structure of the particulate films. The results show that the hydrophobicity of particles chemically modified by octanol (SiO2-C8) and dodecanol (SiO2-C12) are similar and higher than that modified by butanol (SiO2-C4). The monolayer composed of particles with higher hydrophobicity shows a large lift-off area, higher compressibility, and significant hysteresis due to the higher particle-particle interaction. As a result, the particulate films exhibit 2-dimensional (2D) aggregative domains of closely-packed structure, but with particle free regions presenting among the domains. The monolayer prepared by SiO2-C4 shows a contrary behavior resulted from the higher particle-water interaction. The particles modified by adsorption of cationic surfactants have an amphiphilic property at the air/water interface. Such monolayer exhibits lower compressibility and hysteresis, higher re-spreading characteristic, and a lower collapse pressure compared with those of the chemically modified particles. A particulate film with high uniformity and closely-packed structure can be obtained by using the octyltrimethylammonium bromide (OTAB) modified particles. When the alkyl chain of surfactant increases, the packing of the particles becomes looser. Such phenomenon is probably caused from the higher probability for the long-chain surfactants to stay at the air/water interface which obstructs the intimate contact of particles.
