Converting CO 2 to highly demanded fuels or chemicals is able to achieve substantial economic and environmental benefits. Herein, a series of Pd/P–CeO 2 –Al 2 O 3 coatings on foam ceramics with particular morphologies including mesh, rod, plate, as well as mixed mesh and plate, are successfully prepared. The mesh Pd/P–CeO 2 –Al 2 O 3 coatings (MC) supported on ceramic displayed much higher catalytic activity and better selectivity than those of catalysts with other morphological Pd/P–CeO 2 –Al 2 O 3 coatings. The CO 2 conversion and CH 4 selectivity of MC were up to 85.9% and 100%, respectively. The superior catalytic performance was ascribed to the strong MSI effect, high hydrogen storage capacity, abundant oxygen vacancies, and metal sites, as well as moderately basic sites, which were characterized by TEM, XPS, CO 2 -TPD, and H 2 -TPD. More importantly, the intermediates and possible reaction pathways were systematically investigated by in situ FTIR. And the high performance of MC mainly comes from the accelerated conversion of carbonate and the hydrogenation of the generated monodentate formate. Overall, the catalytic performance of Pd/P–CeO 2 –Al 2 O 3 coatings supported on ceramic can be facilely regulated and optimized by accurately devising the morphology of the Pd/P–CeO 2 –Al 2 O 3 coatings, which offers a novel perspective for high-performance CO 2 methanation. Ce–P/γ-Al 2 O 3 coatings applied with the freeze-drying technique were deposited on foam ceramics before being further prepared as Pd catalysts. According to the research, phosphoric acid replaced the hydroxyl on the surface of γ-Al 2 O 3 to produce polyhydroxy P-containing sites that readily attracted cerium oxide. The palladium oxide was then embedded into the cerium oxide vacancy. The impacts of the drying technique on the catalysts were investigated, and the results indicated that freeze drying created a special coating with a large specific surface area and uniform mesoporous structure by inhibiting nanoparticle agglomeration. H 3 PO 4 's altering action was augmented to boost the number of active sites and the percentage of weakly acidic sites. Due to better P–Ce interactions, more Ce3+ was added into CeO 2 , which created numerous oxygen vacancies. By adjusting the P-containing sites, the dispersion of cerium oxide and the active phase could be controlled, which aided the activation and spillover of hydrogen. Furthermore, the capacity for oxygen adsorption and desorption was enhanced, and the amount of adsorbed oxygen species increased. As a result, the freeze-drying technique improved the advantages of the Ce–P/γ-Al 2 O 3 coating, increasing the conversion and selectivity of CO 2 methanation to 81% and 94%, respectively, and lowering the complete conversion temperature of CO oxidation to 116 °C. It's crucial to make inexpensive, effective palladium catalysts employing α-alumina in the realms of pollution remediation and drug synthesis. The α-alumina foam ceramics prepared by the template approach were modified by adding a thin coating of γ-alumina containing Ce and P elements to further prepare the palladium catalyst. γ-Alumina significantly raised the foam's specific surface area, multiplied the number of acidic sites, decreased the Pd–O bond strength in palladium oxide, and brought the active phase content closer to the ideal value. Phosphate radicals were adsorbed onto the alumina surface, reducing the proportion of strongly acidic sites on the surface, and facilitating the desorption of oxygen species adsorbed by surface defects. As P and Ce elements interacted, the Ce4+/Ce3+ ratio decreased, increasing the number of oxygen vacancies in cerium oxide to improve the oxygen storage capacity of cerium oxide. In addition to acting as an oxygen storage material, the Ce elements increased the electron density of Pd and weakened the binding strength of the oxygen species bound to the individual metal Pd. There was a strong interaction between cerium and palladium, resulting in a mixed state of Pd0, PdO, and Pd2+ after the reaction. On the other hand, the surface of the foam was rough enough to facilitate the adhesion of the thin coating, while the thin coating, with a thickness of less than 8 μm, improved its mechanical properties. Multi-component solid solution composite ceramics (Ti 0.9 Nb 0.03 Ta 0.03 W 0.03) 3 SiC 2 /Al 2 O 3 were fabricated with a high yield by doping NbC, TaC and WC powders via in-suit synthesis, which demonstrated that using metallic carbide as dopants is more efficient than using metal powders to synthesize the desired products. The optimized hardness and flexural strength of (Ti 0.9 Nb 0.03 Ta 0.03 W 0.03) 3 SiC 2 /Al 2 O 3 were measured to be 16.6 ± 0.5 GPa and 695 ± 29 MPa, respectively, which represents significant improvements compared to Ti 3 SiC 2 /Al 2 O 3 composite ceramics. To deeply understand the influence of dopants, the crystal structure of multi-component solid solutions and interface modeling of composite ceramics were built and evaluated by first-principle calculations. In this paper, Dy3+ doped SrCO 3 –WO 3 –SiO 2 glass ceramics are successfully prepared by melt-quenching method. The microscopic morphology, structure and luminescence properties of Dy3+ doped glass ceramics are investigated through XRD, DSC, SEM, photoluminescence spectra and decay curves etc. It can be determined that the crystalline phase is SrWO 4 after comparing with PDF normal card by XRD. Also, combining with the transmission curves, the optimum heat treatment temperature and time are 740 °C/1.5 h. In the emission spectrum, there are three obvious emission peaks at 484 nm, 575 nm and 665 nm, respectively. The optimum concentration of Dy3+ is found to be 1.6 mol, and electric multipole interaction is the main reason for the concentration quenching. Tb3+ doped glass ceramics containing SrWO 4 crystals are prepared by melting crystallization method and their luminescence properties are studied. It is determined by DSC that the heat treatment temperature is 730℃ and the time is 2h. Through the XRD of the glass ceramics, it can determine the crystalize phase is SrWO 4 after comparing with PDF normal card. In the emission spectrum of the Tb3+ doped SrWO 4 glass ceramics samples, there are two obvious emission peaks at 490nm and 544nm corresponding to the transitions of 5D 4 →7F 6 and 5D 4 →7F 5 of Tb3+. Eu 2 O 3 doped transparent glass-ceramics containing NaY(MoO 4) 2 crystalline phase were prepared via melting-crystallization. The optimum heat treatment condition (660℃/3h) was determined by DSC, XRD, SEM and transmittance curves. The transmittance of glass-ceramic can reach 80 % in the visible region. The emission spectra of Eu 2 O 3 doped glass-ceramics consist of Eu3+ ions characteristic emission peaks at 591nm (5D 0 →7F 1) and 614nm (5D 0 →7F 2). The optimal doping concentration of Eu 2 O 3 in the glass-ceramics is 0.9 mol%, and fluorescence lifetime is 1.37042ms. The change of the ratio of red emission intensity to orange emission intensity leads to the shift of chromaticity coordinates from orange to red region, and the chromaticity coordinate (0.6337, 0.3635) of 0.9 mol% Eu 2 O 3 doped glass-ceramic is closest to the standard red light coordinate. Traditional Chinese medicine applied to cancer therapy has a long history. This study aimed to investigate the effect and underlying mechanism of the traditional Chinese medicine, Yuxiao San, in combination with cisplatin, on Lewis lung cancer mice. Lewis lung cancer mouse models were were established in mice, and were randomly divided into model (normal saline + egg white), cisplatin (cisplatin injection + egg white), traditional Chinese medicine (Yuxiao San + egg white) and combined medication (Yuxiao San + cisplatin injection + egg white) groups. The weight and tumor size of mice was measured every 3 days, and the number of lung surface metastasis nodules were calculated after 14 days. Nucleoside diphosphate kinase (nm-23) and K-ras expression levels in tumor tissues were determined by immunohistochemical methods and reverse transcription- quantitative polymerase chain reaction. The results suggested that compared with the model group, cisplatin, traditional Chinese medicine and combined medication groups significantly inhibited growth of transplanted tumors, reduced the number of lung metastasis nodules, increased the inhibition rate of lung metastasis (P<0.05 or P<0.01), significantly increased tumor suppressor gene nm-23 expression and significantly downregulated oncogene K-ras expression. Among all groups, the effect of the combined medication group for inhibiting tumor growth was most favorable (P<0.01). Compared with the cisplatin group, nm-23 expression in the traditional Chinese medicine group and the combined medication group was significantly increased, and K-ras expression in the traditional Chinese medicine and combined medication groups was significantly reduced (P<0.01). To conclude, Yuxiao San and cisplatin injection effectively inhibited growth of the transplanted tumor. The underlying mechanism may be associate with nm-23 upregulation and K-ras downregulation. Ti 3 SiC 2 /Al 2 O 3 composites attract attention because Ti 3 SiC 2 and Al 2 O 3 have complementary advantages in mechanical properties. However, the high temperatures (≥1400 °C) required for densification of the Al 2 O 3 lead to the decomposition of Ti 3 SiC 2. To address this issue, Ti 3 (Al 1-x Si x)C 2 /Al 2 O 3 composites were fabricated via current-assisted sintering of Ti 3 AlC 2 /SiO (TM sample) and Ti 3 AlC 2 /SiO 2 (TD sample) at 1100–1300 °C. After sintering, most Al atoms in Ti 3 AlC 2 were substituted by Si atoms, forming Ti 3 (Al 1-x Si x)C 2 with values of x greater than 0.85. However, the morphologies of Al 2 O 3 produced from Ti 3 AlC 2 /SiO and Ti 3 AlC 2 /SiO 2 were different. Spherical Al 2 O 3 produced by Al–Si substitution in SiO 2 was difficult to densify at low temperatures, whereas the reaction between Ti 3 AlC 2 and SiO disintegrated the matrix of SiO and produced dense Al 2 O 3. As a result, the relative densities and mechanical properties of TM samples were less affected by a reduction in sintering temperature than those of TD samples. As sintering temperature declined from 1300 °C to 1100 °C, flexural strength, hardness, and fracture toughness of TM samples decreased by 35.9% (from 546.2 MPa to 350.0 MPa), 27.4% (from 4.56 GPa to 3.31 GPa), and 33.4% (from 7.45 MPa m0.5–4.96 MPa m0.5), respectively. Meanwhile, the flexural strength, hardness, and fracture toughness of TD samples were reduced by 81.2% (from 466.1 MPa to 87.6 MPa), 85.4% (from 6.50 GPa to 0.95 GPa), and 68.6% (from 6.94 MPa m0.5–2.18 MPa m0.5), respectively. Ti3SiC2/Al2O3 multilayered composites were prepared by the combination of tape casting and hot pressing sintering. The slurry was produced by adjusting the amounts of each organic material, including triethyl phosphate (TEP) as a dispersion, polyvinyl butyrate (PVB) as a binder, dioctyl phthalate (DOP) as a plasticizer, and anhydrous ethanol as an organic solvent. When TEP content was 3 wt.%, PVB content was 4.5 wt.%, R‐value (DOP/PVB) was 1.4, and solid content was 38 wt.%; the cast film with a smooth surface, good flexibility, and uniform thickness was obtained after defoaming, tape casting, and drying. Three samples were prepared, namely, S1–S3. The S1 was monolithic Ti3SiC2/Al2O3 (mass ratio is 1:1) composites. S2 and S3 were Ti3SiC2/Al2O3 multilayered composites, which matrix layers were Ti3SiC2/Al2O3 composites (mass ratio is 1:1) and Al2O3, respectively, and their interface layer was Ti3SiC2. S1–S3 were also sintered at 1550°C. The bending strength of multilayered materials were lower than that of monolithic material, but the fracture toughness of multilayered materials significantly increased. Due to the introduction of Ti3SiC2 interface layer, the friction coefficient and wear rate of Ti3SiC2/Al2O3 multilayered composites were reduced by 30.7% and 33.8%, respectively, compared with monolithic material. Early detection can benefit cancer patients with more effective treatments and better prognosis, but existing early screening tests are limited, especially for multi-cancer detection. This study investigated the most prevalent and lethal cancer types, including primary liver cancer (PLC), colorectal adenocarcinoma (CRC), and lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). Leveraging the emerging cell-free DNA (cfDNA) fragmentomics, we developed a robust machine learning model for multi-cancer early detection. 1,214 participants, including 381 PLC, 298 CRC, 292 LUAD patients, and 243 healthy volunteers, were enrolled. The majority of patients (N = 971) were at early stages (stage 0, N = 34; stage I, N = 799). The participants were randomly divided into a training cohort and a test cohort in a 1:1 ratio while maintaining the ratio for the major histology subtypes. An ensemble stacked machine learning approach was developed using multiple plasma cfDNA fragmentomic features. The model was trained solely in the training cohort and then evaluated in the test cohort. Our model showed an Area Under the Curve (AUC) of 0.983 for differentiating cancer patients from healthy individuals. At 95.0% specificity, the sensitivity of detecting all cancer reached 95.5%, while 100%, 94.6%, and 90.4% for PLC, CRC, and LUAD, individually. The cancer origin model demonstrated an overall 93.1% accuracy for predicting cancer origin in the test cohort (97.4%, 94.3%, and 85.6% for PLC, CRC, and LUAD, respectively). Our model sensitivity is consistently high for early-stage and small-size tumors. Furthermore, its detection and origin classification power remained superior when reducing sequencing depth to 1× (cancer detection: ≥ 91.5% sensitivity at 95.0% specificity; cancer origin: ≥ 91.6% accuracy). Background: Metastases are responsible for over 70% of deaths from lung adenocarcinomas. Previous large-scale studies of LUAD mainly focused on primary diseases. We aimed to comprehensively analyze the genomic landscape of metastatic LUADs and elucidate its clinical implications in the context of precision medicine. Methods: We performed retrospective analyses on targeted sequencing data of 3,743 primary tumors and 934 metastases from 4,480 patients with lung adenocarcinomas, and PD-L1 immunohistochemical data of 1,336 primary tumors and 252 metastases from 1,588 LUAD patients. Results: Metastases generally manifested significantly higher mutational burdens and chromosomal instability than primary lung adenocarcinomas. Clinically actionable alterations, including ALK mutations, ALK and ROS1 fusions, and MET copy number gains, were enriched in metastases, particularly metastases to some specific organs/tissues, such as lymph nodes, liver, and brain. PD-L1 expression decreased as the approximate metastatic distance increased. Additional data of paired primary tumors and metastases to lymph nodes and brain validated patterns of actionable alterations and candidates for metastatic drivers. Two evolutionary modes of metastatic dissemination, common origins and distinct origins, were identified in both types of primary-metastasis pairs. Conclusions: Our study showed heterogenous patterns of clinically actionable alterations, PD-L1 expressions, metastatic driver candidates, and evolutionary patterns among multiple types of metastases of lung adenocarcinomas, which may advise the planning of treatments and the identification of novel therapeutic targets. • A novel inpainting method is proposed for the generation of fine grained details. • A novel loss for preserving edges can ease the difficult of edge generation. • The combination of the proposed constraints can make inpainting model generate sharp and detailed results. With the emergence of Generative Adversarial Networks, great progress has been made in image inpainting. However, most existing methods can produce plausible results, but fail to generate finer textures and structures. This is mainly due to the fact that (1) the generation of finer content in the masked region of an image is not constrained enough during network training, and (2) many different alternative pixels are exist to fill in the masked regions, making it very difficult for the inpainting network to generate reasonable sharp edges. To address these issues, we propose a Scale Enhanced GAN (SE-GAN) model which combines the constraints of large- and small-scale receptive fields of our tailor-made discriminators to achieve fine-grained constraint on image details, a novel edge loss to further ensure the sharpness of the generated image. Experiments on multiple datasets including faces(CelebA-HQ), textures(DTD), buildings(Facade) and natural images(ImageNet, Places2) show that our approach can generate higher quality inpainting results with more details than previous methods. The Na 2 O-Y 2 O 3 -SiO 2 glass with Tb3+ doped and Sm3+/Tb3+ co-doped was prepared by the melt-quenching, the glass ceramics containing Na 9 YSi 6 O 18 crystal phase were prepared by two-step heat treatment. The structure, morphology, luminescence properties and fluorescence lifetimes were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmittance, photoluminescence spectra (PL), respectively. The research indicates that the nuclear temperature of glass ceramics is 550 °C and the time for 1 h, the optimum crystalline temperature is 620 °C, and the optimum crystalline time is 40 min. Moreover, the effect of Tb 2 O 3 concentration on the luminescence properties of the glass ceramics were discussed. When the concentration of Tb 2 O 3 was 0.5 mol%, the brightest green light was obtained at 547 nm (5D 4 →7F 5). Meanwhile, the energy transfer process between Tb3+ and Sm3+was discussed in detail. Under the excitation of 376 nm, the white light can be obtained by adjusting the concentration ratio of Tb3+ and Sm3+. To investigate clinical features and outcomes of Chinese patients with Takotsubo syndrome (TTS). We established the first Chinese Registry of Takotsubo Syndrome (ChiTTS Registry) and analyzed demographic, clinical, therapeutical, and outcome data to characterize clinical and outcome features of Chinese TTS patients. In 112 enrolled patients in the ChiTTS registry from 02/01/2016 to 12/28/2021, the mean age was 59.4 ± 18.7 years old, and 27.7% were men. A total of 41.1% patients experienced respiratory and circulatory complications during hospitalization, and 17.3% patients developed cardiogenic shock. Physical triggers, dyspnea, tachycardia, and younger age (< 70 years old) predicted in-hospital complications. The MACCE rate during follow up was 13.9% per patient per year and the rate of all-cause death was 12.8% per patient per year. TTS patients with in-hospital complications developed more long-term MACCE (24.6% vs. 6.6% per patient-year, P < 0.001) and higher all-cause mortality (21.9% vs. 6.6% per patient-year, P = 0.001) than those without. The Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that more MACCE occurred in TTS patients with tachycardia during 3-year follow-up (HR 4.18; 95% CI 1.80–9.74; log-rank test P < 0.001). Among all medications at discharge, only beta-blocker was associated with reduced long-term MACCE (HR: 0.35; 95% CI: 0.12–0.996; P = 0.049). In order to reduce the loss of particles during the cycling operation, a technology for the granulation of short channel SBA-15 adsorbent was developed. The adsorption behavior of obtained granules was studied under various factors including initial pH value, contact time in different initial concentration and acid stability by batch experiments. A continuous packed column loaded with granules was performed to remove U(VI) from aqueous solution. The uranium concentration was highly enriched than feed solution. The granules packed in column exhibited excellent reusability through cycling test. The result showed promising application prospect in the uranium extraction from aqueous solution. A novel amidoxime (AO) functionalized SBA-15 (AO@SBA-15) with platelet shape and short channels, was prepared by the amidoximation reaction of hydroxylamine with cyanoethyl (CN) functionalized SBA-15 (CN@SBA-15) under N 2 atmosphere. The precursor CN@SBA-15 was initially synthesized by co-condensation of tetraethoxysilane with 2-cyanoethyltriethoxysilane (CTES) using a triblock copolymer (P123) as a structural directing agent in acid medium or via the post-grafting of CTES onto SBA-15 with short channels. The AO@SBA-15 with platelet shape and short channels was employed as an adsorbent to remove U(VI) from an aqueous solution. The g-AO@SBA-15 (precursor prepared by post-grafting method) has higher adsorption capacity (625 mg g −1 ) than that of c-AO@SBA-15 (precursor prepared by co-condensation method) (516 mg g −1 ) at an optimum pH of 6, but with one more preparation step. Results indicated that both the adsorbents showed fast adsorption rate, high selectivity to Na + , K + , Mg 2+ , and Ca 2+ , and reusability for uranium extraction. Sm3+ doped precursor glass (PG) was obtained successfully via melt-quenching method and glass ceramic (GC) was precipitated via subsequent heat treatment. Combining the X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analyses, the optimum heat treatment condition is determined is 635 °C/3 h. The FTIR spectra of the precursor glass and glass ceramic indicate that the enhancement of the luminescent intensity of glass ceramics is related to the MoO 4 2− group appearance. From the transmittance curve of the glass ceramic presents its transmittance can reach 78% in the visible region. The emission spectra indicate the optimum doped concentration of Sm 2 O 3 is 0.3 mol%. Concentration quenching caused by dipole-dipole interaction will occur when Sm 2 O 3 is greater than 0.3 mol%. A series of Tm3+ mono-doped and Tm3+-Eu3+ co-doped transparent glass-ceramics (GCs) containing NaY(MoO 4) 2 crystal phase was synthesized by melt quenching and glass crystallization. The optimal heat treatment condition, crystal structure, microscopic morphology, transmittance, luminescent properties and energy transfer of samples were studied using DSC, XRD, SEM, spectrophotometer and fluorescence spectrometer, respectively. When the Tm3+ mono-doped concentration is 0.4%, the emission intensity is the strongest at 456 ​nm due to 1D 2 →3F 4 transition of Tm3+. Energy transfer from Tm3+ to Eu3+ is observed by fluorescence spectra of Tm3+-Eu3+ co-doped GCs, and the optimal doping concentrations of Tm3+ and Eu3+ are 0.4% and 1.3%, respectively. In addition, the Tm3+-Eu3+ co-doped GCs can achieve tunable emission from blue to purple by adjusting the doping concentration of Eu3+. These results indicate that Tm3+ mono-doped and Tm3+-Eu3+ co-doped GCs have potential applications in the field of color display. A series of Tm3+ mono-doped and Tm3+-Eu3+ co-doped transparent glass-ceramics was synthesized. The energy transfer mechanism from Tm3+ to Eu3+ is dipole-quadrupole interaction. With the increase of Eu3+ concentration, the chromaticity coordinates are tuned from the blue region to the purple region. The results show that this glass-ceramics have potential application in color display.
