3D porous nano-LiMn2O4 (nano-LMO) is successfully prepared at 250 °C by a low temperature pyrolysis, using porous MnO2 and lithium acetate as reactants. The as-formed porous samples are demonstrated to be constructed by well-defined and uniform cubic nanocrystals with particle sizes regulated from tens to hundreds of nanometers by adjusting the annealing temperature. Due to its proper particle size with perfect crystallization (∼50 nm) and rich pores, sample LMO-265, prepared at 265 °C, exhibits high performance as an aqueous lithium ion cathode. It can present a high specific capacity of 102 mAh g−1 at a current density of 5C with a greatly improved rate capability (57.3%, 68C) and capacity retention (70.7%, after 5000 cycles at 13.5C) in 1 M Li2SO4. When assembled with commercial used active carbon (AC) to form an aqueous hybrid capacitor, it can deliver a high energy density of 15.8 Wh kg−1 at a large power density of 9 kW kg−1 with a good cycling life of 71.6% after 5000 at 2 A g−1. Considering of its simple and economical preparation, as-prepared porous LMO can be regarded as a promising high-performance cathode material in aqueous electrolyte.

Porous nanospheres self-assembled from nanowires interconnecting with each other to form 3D hierarchical mesoporous networks of beta-MnO2 (β-MnO2) are successfully prepared, with a high yield, at room temperature with a template-free approach. Due to its high specific surface area, abundant pores, interconnected structure, as well as a great length/diameter ratio, the as-prepared β-MnO2, in 0.5 M Na2SO4, exhibits a good electrochemical performance at a wide temperature range of 5–80 °C. The ion conductivity of the electrolytes proved to be the main factor for the enhancement of the surface controlled capacitance of β-MnO2 as the temperature increased. Therefore, when assembled with an AC to form an asymmetrical supercapacitor, β-MnO2//AC can derive 12.9 W h kg−1 at 9.5 kW kg−1 with a superior cycling stability (91.8%, after 5000 cycles at 5 A g−1) at 5–50 °C, even after suffering from a sudden temperature change. This proves that the as-formed MnO2 is a promising electrode material for supercapacitor applications requiring a high-performance over a broad temperature range.

Our study investigated the correlation between sarcopenia and clinical outcomes in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) treated with lenvatinib. We retrospectively evaluated 40 consecutive patients with unresectable HCC receiving lenvatinib between November 2018 and May 2020 at the First Hospital of Jilin University. Skeletal muscle mass was measured before treatment initiation. Prognostic significance was assessed with univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazards models. Overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) were evaluated for patients with and without sarcopenia. Sarcopenia was present in 23/40 patients (57.5%). After a median follow-up of 9.2 months, patients with sarcopenia had significantly worse OS and PFS compared with those without sarcopenia (OS: 8.4 months [m] vs 14.7 m, P = .02; PFS: 4.2 m vs 9.0 m, P = .04). Multivariate Cox proportional hazards models identified presence of sarcopenia as an independent risk factor for shorter OS (hazard ratio [HR], 0.257; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.083-0.794; P = .02). In subgroup analysis, sarcopenia was associated with worse survival than non-sarcopenic patients, irrespective of age, Barcelona clinic liver cancer stage, or albumin-bilirubin grade. Our results show sarcopenia may be a predictor of poor prognosis in patients with HCC receiving lenvatinib. Management of sarcopenia is a vital factor for improving survival outcomes in patients with HCC.

Manganese dioxide porous nanoflowers are deemed as a potential supercapacitor electrode material due to its high surface-to-bulk ratio and abundant pore. In this paper, hierarchical porous manganese dioxide (MnO2) self-assembled by particle-size controlled porous nanoflowers with specific surface areas of > 300 m2 g−1 are prepared at room temperature by a simple template-free approach. The formation of porous nanoflowers as well as their particle sizes are found to be determined by the nucleation concentration in initial reaction. And investigation on the electrochemical performance and microstructures demonstrates that the specific capacitance of mesoporous MnO2 with similar crystallizations and morphologies is mainly determined by their specific surface areas (SSAs). And sample with average particle size of 60~80 nm as well as SSA of 380 m2 g−1 and a pore volume of 1.97cc g−1 exhibits the best electrochemical performance, a high specific capacitance of 245 F g−1 with excellent cycling stability of 99.1% after 5000 cycles at 5 A g−1 in 1 M aqueous Na2SO4, due to its well-defined morphology with proper particle size, larger specific surface areas (SSA) and higher pore volume.

Nitrogen-doped carbon (NC) materials have been proposed as next-generation oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalysts to significantly improve scalability and reduce costs, but these alternatives usually exhibit low activity and/or gradual deactivation during use. Here, we develop new 2D sandwich-like zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF) derived graphene-based nitrogen-doped porous carbon sheets (GNPCSs) obtained by in situ growing ZIF on graphene oxide (GO). Compared to commercial Pt/C catalyst, the GNPCSs show comparable onset potential, higher current density, and especially an excellent tolerance to methanol and superior durability in the ORR. Those properties might be attributed to a synergistic effect between NC and graphene with regard to structure and composition. Furthermore, higher open-circuit voltage and power density are obtained in direct methanol fuel cells.

Objective: To obtain the pattern and reactivity extent of E-cadherin and correlation with clinicopathological data including tumor type, grade, and lymph node status. Methods: Expression of E-cadherin has been examined in 20 gastric carcinomas; 21 colorectal carcinomas; 20 uterocervical carcinomas and 20 breast carcinomas using an immunohistochemical technique. Results: There were similar patterns among four kinds of cancer. Tumors with a decreased E-cadherin occurred significantly more frequently in poor differentiated carcinomas. There was association between membrane levels of E-cadherin and the presence of lymph node metastasis, but the difference was not significant. Conclusions: E-cadherin expression of the noncancerous areas is higher than that of the cancerous areas. The decreased E-cadherin expression correlates with dedifferentiation. The relation between the E-cadherin expression and the metastasis is complex and need much more research. There are similar patterns among four types of cancer. For that, immunohistochemical study of E-cadherin may have clinicopathologic value for patients with cancer.

To study the changes of the food and nutrients intake and health trends in rural population of Hebei Province since 1992 with the society economy development rapidly.Using the multi-stage cluster random sampling method, investigating the body high, weight, blood pressure, Haemoglobin, blood lipids, blood glucose, of 11627 population from 2700 households, and the food consumption and nutrients intakes of 1080 households, to analyses and assess the dietary pattern and mortality of chronic diseases.The results showed that plant food is main food consumption pattern and changed remarkably since the 1992. Although the meat, egg, milk and beat consumption was more than 1992 their intakes are insufficient. The fat food and the salt intakes increased while CA and VA intakes were very insufficient. Weighs values in the school children aged 7-17 were significantly higher than those in 1992. The prevalence of overweight, obese, high blood pressure, diabetes, abnormal blood sugar were 30.4%, 13.4%, 25.9%, 1.8%, 0.98%, respectively in adults aged over 18. The rate of abnormal blood lipid 25.0%, high TG, TC, verge TC, low HDL-C were 15.3%, 3.2%, 3.5%, 10.8%. The standardized prevalence of anemia 8.7% and 16% for preschool children and younger woman respectively.The prevalence of overweight, obese, hypertension and abnormal blood lipids in adult population of rural Hebei Province were higher than the average levels in whole country. Sufficient attention should be paid to nutrition diet, heath and some chronic diseases related to nutrition in rural residents, the dietary guidance and nutrition interference need to strengthen and ensure people health.
