This review focuses on some important and challenging aspects of soil extracellular enzyme research. We report on recent discoveries, identify key research needs and highlight the many opportunities offered by interactions with other microbial enzymologists. The biggest challenges are to understand how the chemical, physical and biological properties of soil affect enzyme production, diffusion, substrate turnover and the proportion of the product that is made available to the producer cells. Thus, the factors that regulate the synthesis and secretion of extracellular enzymes and their distribution after they are externalized are important topics, not only for soil enzymologists, but also in the broader context of microbial ecology. In addition, there are many uncertainties about the ways in which microbes and their extracellular enzymes overcome the generally destructive, inhibitory and competitive properties of the soil matrix, and the various strategies they adopt for effective substrate detection and utilization. The complexity of extracellular enzyme activities in depolymerising macromolecular organics is exemplified by lignocellulose degradation and how the many enzymes involved respond to structural diversity and changing nutrient availabilities. The impacts of climate change on microbes and their extracellular enzymes, although of profound importance, are not well understood but we suggest how they may be predicted, assessed and managed. We describe recent advances that allow for the manipulation of extracellular enzyme activities to facilitate bioremediation, carbon sequestration and plant growth promotion. We also contribute to the ongoing debate as to how to assay enzyme activities in soil and what the measurements tell us, in the context of both traditional methods and the newer techniques that are being developed and adopted. Finally, we offer our collective vision of the future of extracellular enzyme research: one that will depend on imaginative thinking as well as technological advances, and be built upon synergies between diverse disciplines.

У роботі розглянуто концепцію впливу аргументу на типову функціональну залежність при перенесенні її з уявної системи координат до реальної, як міри оцінки розходження між ними. На прикладі простої функції у = kx показано, яким чином відбувається вплив аргументу х на величину коефіцієнта k і, як наслідок, величину у. Окрім цього, показано на конкретному прикладі з технологічного процесу як він реалізується у реальному просторі технологічного обладнання. Наведений приклад вказує на напрямок подальших досліджень, суть яких полягає у визначенні впливу вторинних процесів на загальну ситуацію точності технологічного процесу. In the paper we examine the influence of the argument on the concept of common functional dependency if applied to the imaginary coordinate system to the real one. Introduces the concept of location as a measure of degradation of estimation differences between the imaginary and the real coordinate system. Using a simple mathematical function y = kx shows how there is an influence on the value of the argument x coefficient k and, consequently, the value of y. Shows the mathematical relationships. In addition to the specific example shows the process as it is implemented in real space technology equipment. В работе рассмотрена концепция влияния аргумента на типичную функциональную зависимость при перенесении ее из мнимой системы координат в реальную. Вводится понятие деструкции координаты как меры оценивания расхождения между мнимой и реальной системой координат. На примере простой функции у = kx показано, каким образом происходит влияние аргумента х на величину коэфициента k и, как следствие, на величину у. Кроме этого, на конкретном примере технологического процесса показано, как он реализуется в реальном пространстве технологического оборудования. Приведенный пример только указывает направление дальнейших исследований, суть которых - в определении влияния вторичных процессов на общую ситуацию точности технологического процесса.

У попередній частині статті [1] було доведено вплив аргументу на коефіцієнт k функції y = kx та показано на конкретному прикладі, до чого це призводить у технологічних процесах. Наразі пропонується подальше застосування цієї методики на прикладі зносу інструмента під час процесу металообробки. Для кращого уявлення проблеми як приклад обрано чотири типові ситуації зносу різального інструмента у процесі металообробки та приведено основні фізико-математичні залежності розвитку цих процесів. Показано, яким чином реалізуються функції, означені у попередній статті [1]. Аналітично доведено зону реалізації можливого зносу різального інструмента. Considered in this work the concept of the influence of an argument of a typical functional dependency if applied to the virtual coordinate system to the real, as a measure of assessing differences between them. For a simple function shows how the argument x is an influence on the coefficient k and, consequently, on the value of y. In addition, a specific example is shown of the process as it is implemented in real space of process equipment. Concerning the example were chosen four typical situations tool wear during the metal working and presented the basic physical and mathematical functions development of these processes. Illustrates how the functions are implemented as described in the previous article [1]. Area of possible implementation of tool wear is analytically proved. В работе рассмотрено концепцию влияния аргумента на типичную функциональную зависимость при перенесении ее с виртуальной системы координат на реальную, как меры оценки расхождения между ними. На примере простой функции показано, каким образом происходит влияние аргумента х на величину коэффициента k и, как следствие, на величину у. Кроме этого, показано на конкретном примере из технологического процесса, как он реализуется в реальном пространстве технологического оборудования. Относительно примера были выбраны четыре типовые ситуации износа режущего инструмента в процессе металлообработки и приведено основные физико-математические функции развития этих процессов. Показано, каким образом реализуются функции, описанные в предыдущей статье [1]. Аналитически доказано зона реализации возможного износа режущего инструмента.
