Abstract Circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA) has emerged as an ideal biomarker for the early diagnosis and prognosis of gastric cancer (GC). In this work, a pump-free, high-throughput microfluidic chip coupled with catalytic hairpin assembly (CHA) and hybridization chain reaction (HCR) as the signal cascade amplification strategy (CHA–HCR) was developed for surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) assays of PIK3CA E542K and TP53 (two GC-related ctDNAs). The chip consisted of six parallel functional units, enabling the simultaneous analysis of multiple samples. The pump-free design and hydrophilic treatment with polyethylene glycol (PEG) realized the automatic flow of reaction solutions in microchannels, eliminating the dependence on external heavy-duty pumps and significantly improving portability. In the reaction region of the chip, products generated by target-triggered CHA initiated the HCR, forming long nicked double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) on the Au nanobowl (AuNB) array surface, to which numerous SERS probes (Raman reporters and hairpin DNA-modified Cu2O octahedra) were attached. This CHA–HCR strategy generated numerous active “hot spots” around the Cu2O octahedra and AuNB surface, significantly enhancing the SERS signal intensity. Using this chip, an ultralow limit of detection (LOD) for PIK3CA E542K (1.26 aM) and TP53 (2.04 aM) was achieved, and the whole process was completed within 13 min. Finally, a tumour-bearing mouse model was established, and ctDNA levels in mouse serum at different stages were determined. To verify the experimental accuracy, the gold-standard qRT–PCR assay was utilized, and the results showed a high degree of consistency. Thus, this rapid, sensitive and cost-effective SERS microfluidic chip has potential as an ideal detection platform for ctDNA monitoring.

Telomerase has been considered as a biomarker for early diagnosis and prognosis assessment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), while the highly sensitive and specific methods remain challenging. To detect telomerase, a novel surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) biosensor was constructed using the dual DNA-catalyzed amplification strategy composed of strand displacement amplification (SDA) and catalytic hairpin assembly (CHA). This strategy relies on the extension reaction of telomerase primer induced by telomerase, forming long-stranded DNAs with repetitive sequence to catalyze the follow-up SDA event. Subsequently, the SDA products can trigger the CHA reaction between the SERS probes (Au-Ag nanocages (Au-AgNCs) modified with hairpin DNA1 and Raman reporters) and capture substrate (Au@SiO2 array labeled with hairpin DNA2), resulting in the formation of numerous “hot spots” to significantly enhance the SERS signal. Results are promising that the established biosensor presented excellent reproducibility, specificity and sensitivity. Moreover, ELISA was applied as the golden standard to verify the application of the proposed biosensor in real samples and the results confirmed the satisfactory accuracy of our method. Therefore, the proposed SERS biosensor has the potential to be an ideal tool for the early screening of HCC.

The structure and function of microbial communities in aquaculture water bodies are important in the aquaculture ecosystem. To comprehensively and systematically evaluate the structure and functional composition of the microbial community in the water during Chinese mitten crab (Eriocheir sinensis) cultivation, the water quality indicators in the crab pond in Chongming District, Shanghai were monitored monthly from June to October 2022. The microbial species and functional structural characteristics in the water environment during the breeding period were analyzed based on metagenomics technology, and their relationships with environmental factors were discussed. The results showed that the major water quality indicators that exceeded the standard in the breeding pond were pH, permanganate index, total phosphorus, and total nitrogen. During the breeding period, the diversity of the microbial community in the water body from June to August and the richness of the microbial community from July to August were high, and the dominant microbial phyla in the water body were mainly Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Actinobacteria, Verrucomicrobia, Cyanobacteria, and Uroviricota. At the genus level, the top 10 dominant genera regarding abundance were significantly different among multiple groups. For example, the abundances of Microcystis bacteria in July and unclassified_o_Caudovirales viruses in August–October were significantly higher than those in other months. The primary function of microorganisms is metabolism, including energy metabolism, global and overview maps, and amino acid metabolism. Notable differences are present in the functional composition of different months; particularly, the abundance of metabolic pathways in June–July was significantly higher than that in August–October, and the dominant bacteria (Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria, and Bacteroidetes) were major contributors to the aforementioned functions. The influence trends of environmental factors on the structure and functional composition of microbial communities were consistent. Chlorophyll a and pH had the most significant impact on the structure and functional composition of microbial communities, whereas dissolved oxygen and total phosphorus had a slightly weaker impact. The pathogenic bacteria with a relatively large abundance in aquaculture water bodies are Salmonella enterica, Edwardsiella ictaluri, and Staphylococcus aureus. The research results provide basic data for the study of microbial community structure and functional composition in water bodies of Chinese mitten crab breeding ponds and can provide a theoretical basis for aquaculture water quality control and ecosystem construction.

Abstract A-to-I mRNA editing in animals is mediated by ADARs, but the mechanism underlying sexual stage-specific A-to-I mRNA editing in fungi remains unknown. Here, we show that the eukaryotic tRNA-specific heterodimeric deaminase FgTad2-FgTad3 is responsible for A-to-I mRNA editing in Fusarium graminearum. This editing capacity relies on the interaction between FgTad3 and a sexual stage-specific protein called Ame1. Although Ame1 orthologs are widely distributed in fungi, the interaction originates in Sordariomycetes. We have identified key residues responsible for the FgTad3-Ame1 interaction. The expression and activity of FgTad2-FgTad3 are regulated through alternative promoters, alternative translation initiation, and post-translational modifications. Our study demonstrates that the FgTad2-FgTad3-Ame1 complex can efficiently edit mRNA in yeasts, bacteria, and human cells, with important implications for the development of base editors in therapy and agriculture. Overall, this study uncovers mechanisms, regulation, and evolution of RNA editing in fungi, highlighting the role of protein-protein interactions in modulating deaminase function.

IntroductionBamboo is one of the fastest-growing plants on earth, and its young culms are formed by the elongation of internodes. However, the mathematical intricacies of its internode elongation are not well understood.MethodsThis study investigated the internode length growth of Phyllostachys edulis, Phyllostachys iridescens, and Pseudosasa amabilis at ten different culm height developmental stages (G1–G10).Results and discussionThe tempo of internode elongation from the culm base to the tip generally followed a “slow-fast-slow” growth rhythm. The internode length and the serial number relationship showed a right-skewed curve. As the bamboo grows taller, the longest internode moves from the base to the middle of the culm. The relationship between relative internode number (RIN) and relative cumulative internode length (RCIL) displayed a typical S-shaped growth curve. The modified Brière (MBE) sigmoid equation achieved better goodness-of-fit than the logistic, power, and third-order functions in fitting the RIN-RCIL curves with the smallest average root mean square error (RMSE). The elongation rates of internodes varied not only with the growth of culm height, but also with the position of the bamboo culm from base to tip. In addition, as the bamboo grows in height, more internodes gradually contribute to the culm height growth. At G1 development stage, 24.01–38.23% of the internodes contributed 65.27–73.59% of the culm height, whereas at G10 stage, 49.28–61.07% of the internodes contributed 66.70–78.18% of the culm height. Our findings provide new insights into the mathematical characterization of bamboo internode elongation patterns involved in the rapid culm growth.

Abstract Purpose This investigation sought to examine the efficacy and safety of low-dose apatinib used alongside chemotherapy in the clinical management of patients with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) within a real-world setting, whilst comparing the outcomes with those treated solely with chemotherapy. Methods This case series study analyzed clinical data and treatment outcomes of 163 patients with metastatic TNBC who underwent rescue treatment at the Medical Oncology Department of Clinical Oncology, Fujian Cancer Hospital, School of Fujian Medical University, China, between October 2011 and January 2023. All the patients underwent rescue treatment with either chemotherapy alone or apatinib (250 mg/day) combined with chemotherapy. The study’s primary outcome was progression-free survival (PFS), whereas the secondary outcomes included overall survival (OS), objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), and safety profiles. Results The study was designed to compare two groups [1]. Out of the 163 TNBC patients who participated in the study, 107 individuals (65.6%) received treatment based on chemotherapy, whereas 56 patients (34.4%) were given treatment based on a combination of low-dose apatinib (250 mg/day) and other treatments, including chemotherapy. After propensity score matching (PSM), the objective response rate (ORR) and disease control rate (DCR) of patients with advanced triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) who received apatinib-based treatment were 50.0 and 90.0%, respectively, while they were 6.7 and 20.0%, respectively, for the chemotherapy-based group (P

This study aimed to evaluate the impacts of wild and breeding juvenile rice field eel under conditions of ammonia and heat stress. The growth performance (FBW, WGR, SGR, and FCR) of 360 wild (24.22 ± 0.30 g) and 360 breeding (24.16 ± 0.27 g) strains was significantly hindered by ammonia and heat stress. The inhibitory effects were more obvious when the two stresses were combined. The growth performance and survival rates of the breeding strains outperformed that of the wild strains under identical stress conditions, this was explained by the expression of the growth-related gene (gh). They have increased the enzyme activity (CAT and GSH-Px) and expression of immune-related genes (cat, gpx3, and hsp90α) in response to oxidative stress. However, the results of certain indicator enzymes indicate the presence of oxidative damage in their tissues. The presence of an inflammatory response in the tissues was suggested by the up-regulation of genes associated with pro-inflammatory cytokines (il-1β and il-8) and the down-regulation of genes related to anti-inflammatory cytokines (il-10). Additionally, the presence of tissue damage was shown by the up-regulation of genes connected to apoptosis (cas2, cas8, and cas9) and the down-regulation of genes connected to tight junctions (zo-1). Nevertheless, it is noteworthy that breeding strains exhibited superior adaptability to ammonia and heat stress in comparison to wild strains.

Monopterus albus is one of China’s renowned and superior aquaculture species, with its seedlings mainly sourced from wild capture. One of the bottlenecks in M. albus aquaculture is the high mortality rate and low feeding initiation rate from stocking wild fry to the initiation of feeding. In production, trash fish is commonly used to wean M. albus juveniles onto feeding. In this study, we introduced three other natural feeds, earthworms (EW), yellow mealworms (YMW), and fly maggots (FM), with frozen trash fish (TF) serving as the control group, to evaluate the effects of these four natural feeds on the survival rate, feeding initiation, antioxidant enzymes activity, and body composition of M. albus juveniles under recirculating water aquaculture conditions. The experiment comprised four treatments, each with three replicates. Each replicate consisted of stocking 150 M. albus juveniles weighing 10.02 ± 0.89 g in size, raised for 5 weeks. The survival rate of the YMW group was 73.33%–85.33%, which was significantly higher than that of the other three bait groups (p < 0.05). The four bait groups showed no significant differences in final body weight and specific growth rate (SGR) (p > 0.05). The EW group showed the highest final body weight, with an average SGR of 2.73, whereas the YMW group had an average SGR of 1.87. The average daily feeding amount was significantly higher in EW and YMW groups than in the other two groups (p < 0.05). The percentage of feeding amount to fish weight in the EW group reached 7.3% in the fifth week. After 5 weeks of cultivation, NO2−-N content was significantly higher in the waters of the TF and EW groups than in the waters of the FM and YMW groups (p < 0.05), there was no significant difference in TAN content among the treatment groups (p > 0.05). Liver malondialdehyde content was significantly higher in the TF group than in the other bait groups (p < 0.05). GSH-Px activity was significantly higher in the EW group than in the FM group and YMW group. No significant differences in SOD and CAT activity and T-AOC were observed among the bait groups (p > 0.05). The increase in crude protein content was significantly higher in the TF group than in the FM group, but the increase in crude ash content was significantly lower in the TFgroup. In conclusion, Tenebrio molitor could potentially serve as one of the alternative feeds during the initial stages of M. albus juveniles stocking.

Fish intestinal health under intensive aquaculture mode plays an important role in growth, development, and immune function. The present study was aimed to systematically investigate the differences of intestinal health between wild and cultured Monopterus albus by biochemical parameters, histomorphology, and molecular biology. A total of 15 healthy M. albus per group, with an average body weight of 45 g, were sampled to analyze intestinal health parameters. Compared with wild fish, the cultured M. albus in the foregut had lower trypsin, lipase, SOD, CAT, T-AOC, and GSH-Px activities (P < 0.05) and higher amylase activity and MDA content (P < 0.05). The villus circumference and goblet cells in the cultured group were significantly lower than those in the wild group (P < 0.05). In addition, the cultured fish showed lower relative expression levels of occludin, zo-1, zo-2, claudin-12, claudin-15, mucin5, mucin15, lysozyme, complement 3, il-10, tgf-β1, tgf-β2, and tgf-β3 (P < 0.05) and higher il-1β, il-6, il-8, tnf-a, and ifnγ mRNA expressions than those of wild fish (P < 0.05). In terms of gut microbiota, the cultured group at the phylum level displayed higher percentages of Chlamydiae and Spirochaetes and lower percentages of Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, Actinobacteria, Cyanobacteria, and Verrucomicrobia compared to the wild group (P < 0.05). At the genus level, higher abundances of Pseudomonadaceae_Pseudomonas and Spironema and lower abundances of Lactococcus and Cetobacterium were observed in the cultured group than in the wild group (P < 0.05). To our knowledge, this is the first investigation of the intestinal health status between wild and cultured M. albus in terms of biochemistry, histology, and molecular biology levels. Overall, the present study showed significant differences in intestinal health between wild and cultured M. albus and the main manifestations that wild M. albus had higher intestinal digestion, antioxidant capacity, and intestinal barrier functions than cultured M. albus. These results would provide theoretical basis for the subsequent upgrading of healthy aquaculture technology and nutrient regulation of intestinal health of cultured M. albus.

BackgroundOsteoporosis (OP) is typically diagnosed by evaluating bone mineral density (BMD), and it frequently results in fractures. Here, we investigated the causal relationships between diet-derived circulating antioxidants and the risk of OP using Mendelian randomization (MR).MethodsPublished studies were used to identify instrumental variables related to absolute levels of circulating antioxidants like lycopene, retinol, ascorbate, and β-carotene, as well as antioxidant metabolites such as ascorbate, retinol, α-tocopherol, and γ-tocopherol. Outcome variables included BMD (in femoral neck, lumbar spine, forearm, heel, total body, total body (age over 60), total body (age 45–60), total body (age 30–45), total body (age 15–30), and total body (age 0–15)), fractures (in arm, spine, leg, heel, and osteoporotic fractures), and OP. Inverse variance weighted or Wald ratio was chosen as the main method for MR analysis based on the number of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). Furthermore, we performed sensitivity analyses to confirm the reliability of the findings.ResultsWe found a causal relationship between absolute retinol levels and heel BMD (p = 7.6E-05). The results of fixed effects IVW showed a protective effect of absolute retinol levels against heel BMD, with per 0.1 ln-transformed retinol being associated with a 28% increase in heel BMD (OR: 1.28, 95% CI: 1.13–1.44). In addition, a sex-specific effect of the absolute circulating retinol levels on the heel BMD has been observed in men. No other significant causal relationship was found.ConclusionThere is a positive causal relationship between absolute retinol levels and heel BMD. The implications of our results should be taken into account in future studies and in the creation of public health policies and OP prevention tactics.

To investigate the impact of the effect of high temperature stimulation on Monopterus albus larvae after a certain period of time, five experimental groups were established at different temperatures. Then, the M. albus under high temperature stress was fed at 30°C for 70 days. After that, the growth index of the M. albus was counted and analyzed. In terms of growth index, high temperature stress had significant effects on FCR, FBW, WGR, and SGR of M. albus (p < 0.05). The SR increased after being stimulated by temperature (p < 0.1). The study revealed that liver cells of M. albus were harmed by elevated temperatures of 36°C and 38°C. In the experimental group, the activities of digestive enzymes changed in the same trend, reaching the highest point in the 32°C group and then decreasing, and the AMS activity in the 38°C group was significantly different from that in the 30°C group (p < 0.05). The activities of antioxidase in liver reached the highest at 34°C, which was significantly different from those at 30°C (p < 0.05). In addition, the expression levels of TLR1, C3, TNF-α, and other genes increased in the experimental group, reaching the highest point at 34°C, and the expression level of the IL-1β gene reached the highest point at 32°C, which was significantly different from that at 30°C (p < 0.05). However, the expression level of the IRAK3 gene decreased in the experimental group and reached its lowest point at 34°C (p < 0.05). The expression level of the HSP90α gene increased with the highest temperature stimulus and reached its highest point at 38°C (p < 0.05). In the α diversity index of intestinal microorganisms in the experimental group, the observed species, Shannon, and Chao1 indexes in the 34°C group were the highest (p < 0.05), and β diversity analysis revealed that the intestinal microbial community in the experimental group was separated after high temperature stimulation. At the phylum level, the three dominant flora are Proteus, Firmicutes, and Bacteroides. Bacteroides and Macrococcus abundance increased at the genus level, but Vibrio and Aeromonas abundance decreased. To sum up, appropriate high-temperature stress can enhance the immunity and adaptability of M. albus. These results show that the high temperature stimulation of 32°C–34°C is beneficial to the industrial culture of M. albus.

Abstract Introduction The objective of this research was to investigate the effect of person-job fit on occupational commitment among Chinese kindergarten teachers, and to identify strategies for improving the occupational commitment of this professional group. Methods A survey was conducted among kindergarten teachers utilizing the Occupational Commitment Scale, Person-job Fit Scale, Occupational Well-being Scale, and Perceived Organizational Support Scale, resulting in the acquisition of 1539 valid data. Results A significant positive correlation was observed between person-job fit and occupational commitment, with occupational well-being serving as a partial mediator in this association. Additionally, the direct effect of person-job fit on occupational commitment was moderated by perceived organizational support. Specifically, a significant positive correlation between person-job fit and occupational commitment was evident when the scores of perceived organizational support were below 0.21, whereas a significant negative correlation was observed when the scores of perceived organizational support were above 1.67. Conclusions In order to enhance the degree of occupational commitment among kindergarten teachers, it is imperative to pay attention to their person-job fit, perceived organizational support, and occupational well-being.

High concentrations of activated sludge are an excellent biological treatment; in particular, simultaneous nitrification and denitrification play a huge role in nitrogen removal. However, the influencing factors of SND have not been fully elucidated. The effects of sludge concentration and dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration on the performance of SND in a high-concentration activated sludge reactor assisted by chemical agents were investigated, and the SND reaction effect was de-termined by analyzing the along-stream changes of elemental nitrogen in the reactor. The results showed that the SND phenomenon in the reactor was most obvious when the system activated sludge concentration (MLSS) was maintained at 7–9 g/L and DO concentration at 1–2 mg/L. When MLSS decreases within the range of 5–9 g/L, the nitrification reaction improves, but the SND phe-nomenon decreases or even disappears; the SND phenomenon diminishes with increasing DO con-centration. Thus, high sludge concentrations and low dissolved oxygen concentrations are im-portant influences associated with SND and promote unconventional nitrogen removal pathways. In addition, the average value of MLVSS/MLSS for the high-concentration activated sludge process was 0.586, which indicates that the system has a higher activated sludge volume and better sludge activity, which is very effective in enhancing SND. In addition, this study also further investigated the influencing factors of SND in the high-concentration method by exploring the kinetic modeling of the SND reaction in the high-concentration method.

This study investigates the spatial and temporal heterogeneity of soil moisture on slopes of China’s northeastern black soil region, focusing on the effects of terrain adjustment and vegetation. Soil moisture dynamics in the 0–60 cm soil layer were measured at 10 cm intervals using the TRIME-PICO64 TDR® device on slopes with similar gradients representing three land use types: transverse ridge tillage (TRT) farmland, terraced fields (TFs) farmland, and pure forest woodland (WL). The results indicate significant variations in soil moisture content and water storage across different land use types in the order of TF > TRT > WL. The study further identified that soil bulk density, porosity, and water-holding indicators were in the order of WL > TF > TRT, inconsistent with the soil moisture results, indicating that soil quality cannot be the sole reason for the differences in moisture. The moisture differences between farmland types (TRT and TF) and WL are substantial, especially during the rainy season. In the rainy season (0–60 cm) and the dry season (30–60 cm), significant differences in moisture content are observed (p < 0.05). Significant differences in moisture content between farmland types are found at 0–40 cm during the rainy season and at 0–10 cm during the dry season. In the rainy season, soil moisture for TRT and TFs first decreases from 26.76% and 30.85% to 22.44% and 25.38%, then slightly increases to 27.01% and 27.07% along the slope. Meanwhile, WL displays the opposite pattern on upper, relatively steep slopes, with soil moisture increasing from 16.66% to 17.81%, and exhibits a pattern of change similar to TRT and TFs on lower, gentler slopes. TFs consistently show higher soil moisture and water storage at all slope positions than TRT and WL. TFs improve soil quality, reduce erosion and sedimentation, and shift the lowest soil moisture content to a lower slope position. During the dry season, soil moisture differences between slope positions for TRT and WL were small. In general, terracing can effectively modulate moisture distribution along slopes, increasing moisture by an average of 0.26~12.43%, while afforestation, despite improving soil quality, leads to an 18.14~31.13% reduction in soil moisture content, with the impact being particularly significant during the rainy season. These findings provide important insights for optimizing land use and ecological construction, including keeping the balance between soil and water conservation, especially for sub-humid slope terrain areas.

Heterogeneous Fenton technology was employed for the advanced treatment of Maotai-flavored Baijiu wastewater. Novel catalysts were prepared by loading different active ingredients (Mn, Fe, and Cu) on γ-Al2O3 using an impregnation method. The effects of active ingredient, reaction time, initial pH, H2O2 dosage, catalyst dosage, and other factors on the reaction were examined. The properties of the new catalysts were analyzed using BET analysis, XPS, and SEM. Moreover, the mechanisms of Fenton-like oxidation and its reaction kinetics were explored through experiments and analyses including GC–MS and intermediate active species scavenging by tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA) and/or para-benzoquinone. The results revealed that the most effective removal of organic matter was achieved with a Mn-Fe/Al (2:1 wt%) catalyst dosage of 30 g/100 g water, pH of 5.0, H2O2 dosage of 0.3 g/L, and reaction time of 60 min; the effluent COD value was 12 ± 1 mg/L, and the degradation rate was 65.7 ± 3%, approximately 14% higher than that of the conventional Fenton catalyst under similar conditions; moreover, the catalytic efficacy remained high after seven cycles. Kinetic analysis indicated that the heterogeneous Fenton oxidation reaction followed a third-order kinetics model, with R2 = 0.9923 and K = 0.0006 min−1.

This study aimed to evaluate the impact of substituting a portion of feed with Tenebrio molitor (TM) and Elodea nuttallii (EN) on crayfish culture. A total of 270 crayfish (5.1 ± 0.4 g) were fed three different diet combinations (A: 100% feed; B: 80% feed + 10% TM + 10% EN; C: 75% feed + 15% TM + 10% EN) for 12 weeks. The findings demonstrated that group C had an important beneficial impact on the growth performance of crayfish. This was evidenced by a rise in digestive enzyme activity (trypsin, lipase, and cellulase) in the intestinal and hepatopancreas, as well as an upregulation in the expression of growth-related genes (ghsr, igfbp7, mhc, mlc1, mef2, and pax7) in the muscle. Furthermore, the assessment of the flesh quality of crayfish muscle in group C was conducted. The findings indicated a significant increase (p < 0.05) in the energy value (moisture, crude protein, and crude lipid) within the muscle. The levels of delicious amino acids (Glu, Ala, Ser, Gly, and Tyr) and polyunsaturated fatty acids (ARA, DHA) were enhanced, resulting in an improved nutritional profile and flavor of the muscle while maintaining the Σn-3/Σn-6 ratio. The remodeling of the intestinal microbiota (abundance of Proteobacteria and ratio of Firmicutes/Bacteroidota bacteria) also revealed improved growth performance. Additional research is necessary to ascertain whether excessive use of TM or EN feed substitution can have negative effects on crayfish culture.

Abstract The hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and Zn dendrites growth are two entangled detrimental effects hindering the application of aqueous Zn batteries. The alloying strategy is studied to be a convenient avenue to stabilize Zn anodes, but there still lacks global understanding when selecting reliable alloy elements. Herein, it is proposed to evaluate the Zn alloying elements in a holistic way by considering their effects on HER, zincphilicity, price, and environmental‐friendliness. Screening selection sequence is established through the theoretical evaluation of 17 common alloying elements according to their effects on hydrogen evolution and Zn nucleation thermodynamics. Two alloy electrodes with opposite predicted effects are prepared for experimental demonstration, i.e., HER‐inhibiting Bi and HER‐exacerbating Ni. Impressively, the optimum ZnBi alloy anode exhibits one order of magnitude lower hydrogen evolution rate than that of the pure Zn, leading to an ultra‐long plating/stripping cycling life for more than 11 000 cycles at a high current density of 20 mA cm−2 and 81% capacity retention for 170 cycles in a Zn‐V2O5 pouch cell. The study not only proposes a holistic alloy selection principle for Zn anode but also identifies a practically effective alloy element.

Background: Patients with Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) face a poor prognosis and limited therapeutic options. Current data on eribulin usage to treat TNBC is scarce. Therefore, we sought to compare the feasibility and tolerability of eribulin-based regimens with other chemotherapy regimens in patients with TNBC.Method: This retrospective study was conducted at Fujian Medical University Cancer Hospital and included 159 patients with TNBC enrolled between October 2011 and January 2023. Patients underwent treatment with eribulin-based and other chemotherapy regimens. The study’s primary endpoints were progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS), while its secondary endpoint was objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), and safety. Tumour response was assessed using RECIST V.1.1 criteria.Results: Of the 159 participants in the study, 42 individuals (26.4%) received treatment with eribulin, whereas 117 participants (73.6%) were administered alternative chemotherapy regimens, which included nab-paclitaxel-based therapy (n = 45) and platinum-based therapy (n = 51). The follow-up period for all patients ended on 31 December 2022, and the median follow-up time was 18.3 months (range:0.7–27.5). Following propensity score matching (PSM), eribulin-based treatment resulted in longer median progression-free survival compared to platinum-based (hazard ratio (HR) = 0.41, p = 0.006), nab-paclitaxel-based (hazard ratio = 0.36, p = 0.001) and other chemotherapy (HR = 0.39, p < 0.001). Also, eribulin induced a remarkable prolongation of the median overall survival duration in all three comparative groups. The group receiving eribulin treatment showed significantly reduced incidences of any grade of anaemia, peripheral neuropathy, nausea and vomiting, and hair loss compared to other chemotherapy groups.Conclusion: For the salvage treatment of advanced TNBC, treatment with eribulin produced longer median PFS and OS than other chemotherapy regimens, with a well-tolerated safety profile. Therefore, further investigation of eribulin-based treatment in larger randomized trials for patients with advanced TNBC is warranted.

Tobacco, a pivotal economic crop in China, faces the challenge of securing high-quality raw materials for its industry due to unbalanced and inefficient nitrogen (N) application. To assess the impact of fertilizer management and soil factors on the yield and quality of flue-cured tobacco (FCT), a meta-analysis was conducted across 82 peer-reviewed research studies. The findings demonstrated that both fertilizer management and soil properties exerted a significantly greater influence on yield (63.13% and 62.05%, respectively) than the proportion of superior and medium tobacco (PSMT) (23.57% and 23.83%, respectively). Multiple models were conducted to analyze the N application rate for maximum yield and PSMT, respectively, resulting in an optimum range from 90 to 100 kg N ha−1. The highest yield and PSMT increments were observed with fertilizer timing (FT) applied twice, a basal fertilizer ratio (BFR) exceeding 50%, and a soil pH below 6.5. The nicotine content escalated with increasing N application rates (NR) and soil nitrogen content, peaking at NR over 120 kg N ha−1 and soil total nitrogen (TN) above 2 g kg−1. Stepwise regression modeling indicated that nicotine content was positively influenced by fertilizer management factors (including NR, fertilizer timing, and BFR), as well as initial soil nitrogen content (AN and TN). However, it was negatively correlated with available potassium (AK). Therefore, the results of this meta-analysis suggest that effective fertilizer management, slightly acidic soils enriched with AK, and lower N supply capacity are crucial for enhancing leaf quality while reducing nicotine content. This approach promises improved economic and environmental returns for the tobacco industry in China.

The present study aimed to systematically investigate the underlying differences in flesh quality between wild and farmed Monopterus albus. Fifteen healthy M. albus per group with an average body weight of 45 g were sampled to analyze muscle parameters by biochemical indicators, histomorphology, and molecular biology. Compared with the wild fish, the farmed M. albus in flesh had lower crude protein, collagen, lysine, histidine, total amino acids, SFA, n-3 PUFA contents, and n-3/n-6 ratio (p < 0.05), and higher moisture, crude lipid, crude ash, MUFA, n-6PUFA, and total PUFA contents (p < 0.05). The thawing loss, drip loss, steaming loss, and boiling loss in the farmed group were significantly higher, and hardness, springiness, cohesiveness, gumminess, chewiness, and resilience were significantly lower than those in the wild group (p < 0.05). In addition, higher muscle fiber density and lower muscle fiber diameter were observed in wild M. albus (p < 0.05). In muscle transcriptome profiling, differentially expressed genes and enriched pathways are primarily associated with muscle development, protein synthesis, catabolism, lipid metabolism, and immunity. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first investigation that compares the flesh quality between wild and farmed M. albus in terms of biochemistry, histology, and molecular biology levels. Overall, wild M. albus had a higher nutritional value and texture quality than farmed M. albus.

Within the current process of large-scale dairy-cattle breeding, to address the problems of low recognition-accuracy and significant recognition-error associated with existing visual methods, we propose a method for recognizing the feeding behavior of dairy cows, one based on an improved RefineMask instance-segmentation model, and using high-quality detection and segmentation results to realize the recognition of the feeding behavior of dairy cows. Firstly, the input features are better extracted by incorporating the convolutional block attention module into the residual module of the feature extraction network. Secondly, an efficient channel attention module is incorporated into the neck design to achieve efficient integration of feature extraction while avoiding the surge of parameter volume computation. Subsequently, the GIoU loss function is used to increase the area of the prediction frame to optimize the convergence speed of the loss function, thus improving the regression accuracy. Finally, the logic of using mask information to recognize foraging behavior was designed, and the accurate recognition of foraging behavior was achieved according to the segmentation results of the model. We constructed, trained, and tested a cow dataset consisting of 1000 images from 50 different individual cows at peak feeding times. The method’s effectiveness, robustness, and accuracy were verified by comparing it with example segmentation algorithms such as MSRCNN, Point_Rend, Cascade_Mask, and ConvNet_V2. The experimental results show that the accuracy of the improved RefineMask algorithm in recognizing the bounding box and accurately determining the segmentation mask is 98.3%, which is higher than that of the benchmark model by 0.7 percentage points; for this, the model parameter count size was 49.96 M, which meets the practical needs of local deployment. In addition, the technologies under study performed well in a variety of scenarios and adapted to various light environments; this research can provide technical support for the analysis of the relationship between cow feeding behavior and feed intake during peak feeding periods.

Abstract Background Approximately 90% of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) cases are driven by the untargetable non‐G12C KRAS mutations, and only a small subset of patients are eligible for FDA‐approved precision therapies. The practice of precision therapy in pancreatic cancer was limited by the paucity of targetable genetic alterations, especially in the Asian population. Methods To explore therapeutic targets in 499 Chinese PDAC patients, a deep sequencing panel (OncoPanscan™, Genetron health) was used to characterize somatic alterations including point mutations, indels, copy number alterations, gene fusions as well as pathogenic germline variants. Results We performed genomic profiling in 499 Chinese PDAC patients, which revealed somatic driver mutations in KRAS, TP53, CDKN2A, SMAD4, ARID1A, RNF43, and pathogenic germline variants (PGVs) in cancer predisposition genes including BRCA2, PALB2, and ATM. Overall, 20.4% of patients had targetable genomic alterations. About 8.4% of patients carried inactivating germline and somatic variants in BRCA1/2 and PALB2, which were susceptible to platinum and PARP inhibitors therapy. Patients with KRAS wild‐type disease and early‐onset pancreatic cancer (EOPC) harbored actionable mutations including BRAF, EGFR, ERBB2, and MAP2K1/2. Compared to PGV‐negative patients, PGV‐positive patients were younger and more likely to have a family history of cancer. Furthermore, PGVs in PALB2, BRCA2, and ATM were associated with high PDAC risk in the Chinese population. Conclusions Our results demonstrated that a genetic screen of actionable genomic variants could facilitate precision therapy and cancer risk reduction in pancreatic cancer patients of Asian ethnicity.

IntroductionPhysical exercise can improve cognitive function, and the degree of impact on cognitive function is related to exercise modality, intensity, and duration. However, few studies have been conducted on the effects of competitive sports on cognitive function. The 1,500 m freestyle is the longest pool-based swimming event in the Olympic Games. This study explores the effects of 1,500 m freestyle at maximal speed on athletes’ cognitive function and analyzes the potential mechanism of cognitive function reduction in freestyle at maximal speed from the perspective of hemoglobin oxygenation difference (Hbdiff).MethodsA total of 13 male university swimmers were required to take part in a 1,500 m freestyle competition, swimming at maximal speed. The relevant indicators, including cognitive function and freestyle at maximal speed, before and after the competition were tested and analyzed. Cognitive function was assessed using the Schulte grid test (SGT), the trail-making test (TMT), and the digit span test (DST). The neurobiological characteristics of cognitive function, such as the prefrontal cortex (PFC), response time (RT), and accuracy rate (ACC), were tested using functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS).ResultsA significant decrease in scores for SGT, TMT, and digit span test-backward (DST-B) (p < 0.01). Oxygenated hemoglobin (Oxy-Hb) concentrations in the right frontopolar area (R-FPA) of brain channels 8 (p < 0.01) and 9 (CH8, 9) (p < 0.05), the right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (R-DLPFC) CH10 (p < 0.05), and the middle dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (M-DLPFC) CH18 (p < 0.01) were significantly altered, and the right area of the brain was activated. The total Oxy-Hb concentrations in the regions of interest (ROIs) of R-FPA, R-DLFPC, and M-DLFPC were changed significantly (p < 0.01).DiscussionThe exhaustive performance of a 1,500 m freestyle event resulted in both physical fatigue and a decline in cognitive function. This decline may be attributed to the activation of specific regions of interest, namely the FPA, DLPFC, and M-DLPFC, within the prefrontal cortex (PFC), as well as alterations in functional connectivity.

Brain abscess originates from a localized cerebritis area of brain parenchyma, remaining a refractory infectious disease in the central nervous system. Causative pathogens can be wide-ranging, including bacteria, fungi, or parasites; thus, precise pathogen identification and individualized antimicrobial therapy determine patients’ outcomes. Here, we report two cases where both patients only presented with limb dysfunction, but without symptoms, signs, or biological evidence of infection. Samples were obtained through brain stereoscopic surgeries and microbial identifications were performed to confirm the infection of Fusobacterium nucleatum. Further appropriate treatments were given, and the patients recovered well. Patient 1 was a 73-year-old male with a 20-day history of left-sided limbs weakness. A brain MRI showed a space-occupying lesion with a heterogeneously ring-enhancement character in the right frontal lobe. This patient underwent puncture biopsy of the lesion with robot-assisted guidance to confirm a brain abscess. Empirical antibiotic therapy was immediately given until the pathogen was identified as Fusobacterium nucleatum; thus, he received specific antibiotic therapy with metronidazole and recovered well after treatment. Patient 2 was a 22-year-old female with heart disease history who complained of right-sided limb weakness for nine days. A brain MRI showed a circular enhanced lesion with a thin capsule wall and surrounding edema in the left frontal lobe. This patient underwent puncture drainage of the lesion with robot-assisted guidance and a brain abscess was confirmed. Empirical antibiotic therapy was given until the pathogen was identified as Fusobacterium nucleatum and then she also received metronidazole treatment. Her symptoms recovered and the lesion disappeared after 1 month. Hence, we reviewed the diagnosis and treatment of cryptogenic brain abscess caused by Fusobacterium nucleatum and highlight that precise neurosurgical interventions and identification of causative pathogens are crucial for the management of brain abscess.

Improving nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) without compromising yield remains a crucial agroecological challenge in theory and practice. Some meta-analyses conducted in recent years investigated the impact of nitrogen (N) fertilizer on crop yield and gaseous emissions, but most are region-specific and focused on N sources and application methods. However, various factors affecting yield and N fertilizer efficiency in wheat crops on a global scale are not extensively studied, thus highlighting the need for a comprehensive meta-analysis. Using 109 peer-reviewed research studies (published between 2000 and 2022) from 156 experimental sites (covering 36.8, 38.6 and 24.6% of coarse, medium, and fine texture soils, respectively), we conducted a global meta-analysis to elucidate suitable N management practices and the key factors influencing N fertilization efficiency in wheat as a function of yield and recovery efficiency and also explained future perspectives for efficient N management in wheat crop. Overall, N fertilization had a significant impact on wheat yield. A curvilinear relationship was found between N rates and grain yield, whereas maximum yield improvement was illustrated at 150-300 kg N ha-1. In addition, N increased yield by 92.18% under direct soil incorporation, 87.55% under combined chemical and organic fertilizers application, and 72.86% under split application. Site-specific covariates (climatic conditions and soil properties) had a pronounced impact on N fertilization efficiency. A significantly higher yield response was observed in regions with MAP > 800 mm, and where MAT remained < 15 °C. Additionally, the highest yield response was observed with initial AN, AP and AK concentrations at < 20, < 10 and 100-150 mg kg-1, respectively, and yield response considerably declined with increasing these threshold values. Nevertheless, regression analysis revealed a declining trend in N recovery efficiency (REN) and the addition of N in already fertile soils may affect plant uptake and RE. Global REN in wheat remained at 49.78% and followed a negative trend with the further increase of N supply and improvement in soil properties. Finally, an advanced N management approach such as “root zone targeted fertilization” is suggested to reduce fertilizer application rate and save time and labor costs while achieving high yield and NUE.

Partially stabilized Y2O3–ZrO2 (Y-PSZ) is often used as a material in the field of oxygen sensors and batteries. However, the presence of a tetragonal phase will seriously reduce the conductivity of Y-PSZ materials. As a sintering aid, Bi2O3 can be used to sinter materials with high oxygen ion conductivity at low temperatures. It is the first choice for the Y-PSZ doped system. A new microwave sintering technique prepared Bi2O3–Y-PSZ powders. The effects of doping amount of Bi2O3 on the microstructure, phase transition, and tetragonal phase content of Y-PSZ during sintering were researched. The results displayed that doping Bi2O3 improved the tetragonal phase content of the ZrO2. The tetragonal phase content of the samples increased from 59.72% to 94.69% after sintering at 750 °C for 1 h. After doping Bi2O3, the aggregation of the samples reduced gradually, and the particles dispersed evenly. The average particle sizes of raw material and samples doped with different amounts of Bi2O3 were 0.0794 μm, 0.0638 μm, 0.0629 μm, 0.0794 μm, 0.1116 μm, respectively. Therefore, in the doping amount (1 mol%-4 mol%), the Bi2O3 doped Y-PSZ system with 2 mol% has the highest tetragonal phase content, the best dispersion, the smallest average particle size, and the most uniform particle distribution.

Photoelectric catalysis is a green and efficient way to degrade pollutants, which has been paid more and more attention by researchers. Among them, Bi2WO3 has been proved to have excellent photocatalytic oxidation activity on its {001} facets. In this study, {001}-oriented facets with high exposure were successfully integrated into Bi2WO6 nanoplate arrays (Bi2WO6 NAs) to create a photoelectrode. This structure was grown in situ on an indium tin oxide (ITO) substrate. To promote photogenerated carrier separation efficiency and reduce agglomeration of Bi2WO6 photocatalysts, the electrochemical deposition of NiFe–layered double hydroxide (NiFe-LDH) and Ti3C2 (MXene) were introduced in this research to synergistically catalyze pollutant degradation. Morphology, spectral characterization, and electrochemical analysis jointly confirmed that the outstanding performance of hole capture behavior with LDH and electron conduction properties with MXene were the main reasons for the improvement in catalytic activity of the photoelectrode. Taking bisphenol A (BPA) as the model pollutant, the rate constant k of the NiFe-LDH/Ti3C2/Bi2WO6 NAs photoelectrode reaches 0.00196 min−1 under photoelectrocatalytic (PEC) conditions, which is 4.5 times that of the pure Bi2WO6 NAs photoelectrode. This work provides a new way to improve the reaction kinetics of the PEC degradation of pollutants.

Long-term application of chemical fertilizer poses an environmental threat to belowground ecosystems. However, the impact of nitrogen (N) or phosphorus (P) fertilizers on soil biodiversity and the conditions of soil food web remains largely unknown. Soil nematodes are the most abundant multicellular soil animals and serve as excellent bioindicators of soil. Here, we investigated soil nematode communities and food web structure in a long-term experiment with different application rates of N and P fertilizers in northeast China. The application of N and P fertilizers increased the abundance of bacterivores but suppressed the abundance of omnivores and predators. The abundance of bacterivores exhibited an increasing trend, while that of omnivores and predators showed a decreasing trend with increasing rates of N and P fertilizers. Plant parasites displayed a decreasing trend in response to N fertilizer, but not to P fertilizer. N and P fertilizers also altered nematode functional guild composition, with N fertilizer increasing the abundance of Ba1, and P fertilizer increasing the abundance of Fu2 and Ba3. Nonmetric multidimensional scaling (NMDS) analysis revealed apparent successions of nematode communities from no fertilizer soils to high rates of N or P fertilizer soils at both the genus and functional guild levels. Furthermore, N and P fertilizers resulted in different nematode communities. In terms of nematode food web indices, N fertilizer increased the enrichment index (EI) but reduced the channel index (CI) and structure index (SI), whereas P fertilizer only reduced the SI value. High rates of N and P fertilizers increased the respired carbon of bacterivores but reduced the respired carbon of predators. Mantel tests revealed significant correlations between soil properties and the community composition of both fungivores and omnivores. Among all soil properties, available phosphorus (AP) had the greatest influence on the community structure of soil nematodes. Our findings indicate that N fertilizer has a powerful effect on nematode food web structure, while P fertilizer exerts a stronger effect on soil nematode community composition.

To effectively control the infection of plant pathogens, we designed and synthesized a series of phenylthiazole derivatives containing a 1,3,4-thiadiazole thione moiety and screened for their antibacterial potencies against Ralstonia solanacearum, Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae, as well as their antifungal potencies against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Rhizoctonia solani, Magnaporthe oryzae and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. The chemical structures of the target compounds were characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and HRMS. The bioassay results revealed that all the tested compounds exhibited moderate-to-excellent antibacterial and antifungal activities against six plant pathogens. Especially, compound 5k possessed the most remarkable antibacterial activity against R. solanacearum (EC50 = 2.23 μg/mL), which was significantly superior to that of compound E1 (EC50 = 69.87 μg/mL) and the commercial agent Thiodiazole copper (EC50 = 52.01 μg/mL). Meanwhile, compound 5b displayed the most excellent antifungal activity against S. sclerotiorum (EC50 = 0.51 μg/mL), which was equivalent to that of the commercial fungicide Carbendazim (EC50 = 0.57 μg/mL). The preliminary structure-activity relationship (SAR) results suggested that introducing an electron-withdrawing group at the meta-position and ortho-position of the benzene ring could endow the final structure with remarkable antibacterial and antifungal activity, respectively. The current results indicated that these compounds were capable of serving as promising lead compounds.

In the field of early childhood education, research has increasingly paid attention to male kindergarten teachers as research subjects. The shortage of male professionals in this field, coupled with the persistent issue of high turnover rates, presents significant challenges to the preschool education sector. Elevating the retention rate of male kindergarten teachers stands as a vital concern, with occupational commitment emerging as a pivotal factor influencing retention. This study endeavors to construct a moderated mediation model to unveil the potential pathways through which perceived organizational support, occupational well-being, and person–job fit impact occupational commitment. This study administered a questionnaire that included person–job fit, perceived organizational support, occupational well-being, and occupational commitment scales. The study collected 402 valid responses from male kindergarten teachers. The findings reveal several key insights: perceived organizational support has a positive direct influence on occupational commitment; occupational well-being acts as a mediator in the relationship between perceived organizational support and occupational commitment; and person–job fit plays a moderating role, negatively impacting the predictive effect of occupational well-being on occupational commitment. Consequently, perceived organizational support can exert both a direct influence on occupational commitment and an indirect impact, mediated by occupational well-being, with person–job fit moderating the latter pathway. These results contribute to the quantitative literature surrounding male kindergarten teachers, offering valuable insights. Moreover, they furnish policymakers in preschool education and kindergarten management with effective strategies to bolster the occupational commitment of male kindergarten teachers, ultimately addressing the pressing issue of teacher turnover in this field.

Although it is well established that severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) can be transmitted through aerosols, the mode of long-range aerosol transmission in high-rise buildings remains unclear. In this study, we analyzed an outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) that occurred in a high-rise building in China. Our objective was to investigate the plausibility of aerosol transmission of SARS-CoV-2 by testing relevant environmental variables and measuring the dispersion of a tracer gas in the drainage system of the building. The outbreak involved 7 infected families, of which 6 were from vertically aligned flats on different floors. Environmenìtal data revealed that 3 families’ bathrooms were contaminated by SARS-CoV-2. In our tracer experiment, we injected tracer gas (CO 2 ) into the dry floor drains and into water-filled toilets in the index case’ s bathroom. Our findings showed that the gas could travel through vertical pipes by the dry floor drains, but not through the water of the toilets. This indicates that dry floor drains might facilitate the transmission of viral aerosols through the sewage system. On the basis of circumstantial evidence, long-range aerosol transmission may have contributed to the community outbreak of COVID-19 in this high-rise building. The vertical transmission of diseases through aerosols in high-rise buildings demands urgent attention.

Abstract Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with periodic channels and tunable chemical structures have been widely considered as promising electrode materials in rechargeable batteries. However, the design and construction of high‐performance COFs‐based electrodes still face some challenges in the introduction of multiple efficient redox centers as well as the reduction of dead mass. To address these issues, a unique COF containing double active centers (C═N and N═N) is developed as an anode in rechargeable lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs). The as‐prepared COF displays excellent electrochemical performance due to its remarkable structural stability and the existence of many active groups. Meanwhile, its electrochemical performance is significantly better than that of the small molecule compound or the linear polymer with the same construction units. Even at a high current density of 5 A/g, the LIBs with COF electrodes remain at a high discharge capacity of 227 mAh/g after 2000 cycles. Moreover, the distinction in electrochemical performances of these three materials is further revealed by calculation. This study illustrates the importance of molecular structure design for improving the performance of organic electrodes.

Abstract Background Aneuploidies are the most common chromosomal abnormality and the main genetic cause of adverse pregnancy outcomes. Since numerous studies have focused on common trisomies, relatively little is known about the association between phenotypic findings and rare autosomal aneuploidies (RAAs). We conducted a retrospective study of 48,904 cases for chromosomal microarray analysis in a large tertiary referral center and reported the overall frequencies, clinical manifestations, and outcomes of prenatal RAAs. Results A total of 90 RAAs were detected, of which 83 cases were mosaic trisomies and 7 were non-mosaic trisomies. Chromosomes 16, 22, and 9 were identified as the major chromosomes involving RAAs. The four predominant indications for prenatal diagnosis in our RAA cases were RAA-positive in noninvasive prenatal screening, advanced maternal age, ultrasound abnormalities, and high-risk for serum prenatal screening. Cardiovascular defects were the most frequently observed structural abnormalities, followed by musculoskeletal anomalies. Increased nuchal translucency and persistent left superior vena cava, the major soft marker abnormalities involved, were also observed in our RAA cases. Clinical outcomes were available for all RAAs, with 63 induced abortions and 27 live births recorded. Conclusions Variable phenotypes and outcomes were observed, which were highly heterogeneous in cases of prenatal RAAs. Thus, a cautious and comprehensive strategy should be implemented during prenatal counseling for RAAs.

The dried ammonium polyvanadate (APV) can be used to produce high-purity Vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) by calcination. Therefore, drying is a necessary process. The advantages of microwave drying are uniform heating, selective heating, high heating efficiency and the operation process is clean and hygienic. This study uses a microwave to dry APV and discusses the effect of the initial mass, microwave power, initial moisture content on the drying efficiency of APV. The results display that the average drying rate is positively correlated with the microwave output power. When the initial mass is 35 g, the average rate is shown as 0.000263%/s. As the initial moisture content and power of APV increases to 25% and 560W, the average drying rate increases to 0.00036231%/s and 0.003125%/s, respectively. At the same time, through the analysis of APV drying kinetics and the fitting of experimental data, it is found that the APV microwave drying process can be precisely described by the Modified Page model. The microwave heating process saves energy and time, directly penetrates the product, and has certain advantages in green metallurgy.
