Abstract The insulation performance of oil paper insulation is significantly affected by moisture such that monitoring moisture content is important. However, it is difficult to obtain the moisture content accurately due to its dynamic change under multi physical fields. Studying the moisture transportation in oil paper insulation under multi physical fields becomes a vital method in solving the problem. A multi physical model describing moisture migration was proposed, which considered the effects of temperature on moisture in different existing states in oil‐immersed paper (OIP). The temperature distribution formed a vapour pressure gradient to drive moisture migration and affected migration speed. Then, experiments and simulations of moisture migration were performed, which showed that the experiments were in good agreement with simulation. The results revealed that the temperature gradient caused uneven moisture distribution and the increased temperature reduced OIP moisture content. The established model could fully characterise moisture migration under temperature gradient, which provided a theoretical reference for predicting the risk of partial dampness and evaluating insulation performance.

ABSTRACTWith the development of social media, it has become increasingly important to quickly and accurately identify social media texts related to disasters (e.g. typhoon) to aid in rescue and recovery efforts. Currently, multi-class classification and pre-trained language model Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) are widely used for text classification. However, most studies on typhoon damage classification are multi-class single-label, which contradicts to the reality that a social media text may correspond to multiple types of damage. Moreover, the outputs of the hidden layers of BERT are not fully utilized. This paper proposes a two-stage multi-class multi-label classification method for typhoon damage assessment by fully integrating the outputs of the hidden layers of BERT. In the first stage, sentence vectors are adopted to identify typhoon damage-related texts. In the second stage, word matrices are applied for multi-class multi-label classification to further classify the texts into five damage categories (i.e. transportation, public, electricity, forestry, and waterlogging). The two stages are trained end-to-end to identify typhoon damage from social media texts. Experiments on [Formula: see text] texts during typhoon landfall in Chinese coastal regions demonstrate that the proposed method can effectively improve the accuracy of text classification and comprehensively assess typhoon damage.

Abstract Background According to the studies, more than 80% of pediatric patients with cancer can achieve a survival rate greater than 5 years; however, long‐term chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy may seriously affect their reproductive ability. Fertility preservation in adolescents with cancer in China was initiated late, and related research is lacking. Analyze data to understand the current situation and implement measures to improve current practices. Methods From 2011 to 2020, data on 275 male adolescents with cancer whose age ranged from 0 to 19 years old were collected from 16 human sperm banks for this retrospective study. Methods include comparing the basic situation of male adolescents with cancer, the distribution of cancer types, and semen quality to analyze the status of fertility preservation. Results The mean age was 17.39 ± 1.46 years, with 13 cases (4.7%) aged 13–14 years and 262 cases (95.3%) aged 15–19 years. Basic diagnoses included leukemia (55 patients), lymphomas (76), germ cell and gonadal tumors (65), epithelial tumors (37), soft tissue sarcomas (14), osteosarcoma (7), brain tumors (5), and other cancers (16). The Oropouche virus is an important arthropod-borne virus in the Peribunyaviridae family that can cause febrile illnesses, and it is widely distributed in tropical regions such as Central and South America. Since the virus was first identified, a large number of related cases are reported every year. No deaths have been reported to date, however, the virus can cause systemic infections, including the nervous and blood systems, leading to serious complications. The transmission of Oropouche virus occurs through both urban and sylvatic cycles, with the anthropophilic biting midge Culicoides paraensis serving as the primary vector in urban areas. Direct human-to-human transmission of Oropouche virus has not been observed. Oropouche virus consists of three segments, and the proteins encoded by the different segments enables the virus to replicate efficiently in the host and to resist the host's immune response. Phylogenetic analyses showed that Oropouche virus sequences are geographically distinct and have closer homologies with Iquitos virus and Perdoes virus, which belong to the family Peribunyaviridae. Despite the enormous threat it poses to public health, there are currently no licensed vaccines or specific antiviral treatments for the disease it causes. Recent studies have utilised imJatobal virusmunoinformatics approaches to develop epitope-based peptide vaccines, which have laid the groundwork for the clinical use of vaccines. The present review focuses on the structure, epidemiology, immunity and phylogeny of Oropouche virus, as well as the progress of vaccine development, thereby attracting wider attention and research, particularly with regard to potential vaccine programs.

ABSTRACT Jingmen tick virus (JMTV), belonging to the Flaviviridae family, is a novel segmented RNA virus identified in 2014 in the Jingmen region of Hubei Province, China. Up to now, JMTV has been detected in a variety of countries or regions in Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas, involving a wide range of arthropods and mammals, and even humans. The JMTV genome is composed of four linear RNA segments, two of which are derived from flaviviruses, while the other two segments are unique to JMTV and has no matching virus. Currently, JMTV has been shown to have a pathogenic effect on humans. Humans who had been infected would develop viremia and variable degrees of clinical symptoms. However, the pathogenic mechanism of JMTV has not been elucidated yet. Therefore, it is crucial to strengthen the epidemiological surveillance and laboratory studies of JMTV.

The 1000 kV transformer is one of the most important equipment in ultra high voltage (UHV) power grid, and its service life largely depends on the state of its oil paper insulation system. Especially when micro-bubbles appear in oil paper insulation, the insulation performance of oil paper insulation will be greatly reduced. In this paper, the oil paper insulation micro-bubbles generation platform has been built in the laboratory for 1000 kV transformers. Based on the platform, the influence of temperature rate on oil paper insulation micro-bubbles was studied firstly. By setting the heating power, the micro-bubbles generation experiment of oil paper insulation samples with 3.0% water content was carried out. It is found that with the increase of heating rate, the initial temperature of micro-bubbles generation will increase and the time interval of micro-bubbles escape will be shorten. Then, the oil paper insulation samples aged for 0 day, 20 days and 40 days were tested. It is found that the longer the thermal aging time, the higher the micro-bubbles begin temperature, which directly shows that thermal aging could inhibit the generation of micro-bubbles. In addition, it is found that different layers of insulation paper also have an effect on the generation of micro-bubbles. These results can provide theoretical data support for the operation load setting and fault diagnosis of 1000 kV transformers.

As a new nondestructive diagnosis method of insulation state, frequency domain spectroscopy (FDS) has been widely used in the field detection of power equipment. However, the quantitative correlation between FDS measurement results and insulation state is not clear for transformer bushing, which seriously affects its detection effect. In order to solve this problem, the FDS modeling and parameter identification of transformer bushing has been studied in this paper. Firstly, the transformer bushing model was built in the laboratory, and the FDS measurement data of transformer bushings with different water content were collected. Then, a fusion algorithm of improved artificial bee colony algorithm and sequential quadratic programming algorithm was used to identify the parameters of transformer bushing model. After modeling and analyzing the FDS measured data, it is found that there is a good consistency between the measured spectrum of complex capacitance and the reconstructed spectrum of the model, and the goodness of fit of the model to the measured FDS exceeds 0.95. In addition, the identified values of resistance and capacitance in the equivalent model are within the reasonable range of 109Ω and 10−9F respectively. These results show that the extended Debye model and parameter identification algorithm can accurately model the frequency domain dielectric response of transformer bushing in a wide frequency range, and can provide an effective tool for more accurate analysis of transformer bushings insulation state.

Frequency domain spectroscopy (FDS) technology has been widely used to evaluate the insulation state of electrical equipment. However, there are still many in-adaptability when using FDS technology to evaluate the insulation state of transformer bushings. Especially, the result will be affected by temperature in the quantitative diagnosis of moisture degree. The influence of different temperatures on FDS detection data of transformer bushings has been studied to solve this problem in this paper. To obtain the FDS test data curves of transformer bushings at different temperatures, the transformer bushings experiment platform was built in the laboratory. And the bushing samples at different temperatures was measured by FDS detection method, which started at 30 °C and rising at 10 °C intervals until the temperature reached 80 °C. The result shows that the temperature will have a serious impact on the FDS detection data, especially the R0 and C5 in the extended Debye model. To solve the influence of temperature, FDS data correction curves with different temperature has been built in this paper. And its feasibility has been verified by FDS data of transformer bushings with 0% and 1.89% water content. The obtained results can promote the application of FDS method in the evaluation of transformer bushings insulation state.

Elevated mental workload (MWL) experienced by pilots can result in increased reaction times or incorrect actions, potentially compromising flight safety. This study aims to develop a functional system to assist administrators in identifying and detecting pilots’ real-time MWL and evaluate its effectiveness using designed airfield traffic pattern tasks within a realistic flight simulator. The perceived MWL in various situations was assessed and labeled using NASA Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) scores. Physiological features were then extracted using a fast Fourier transformation with 2-s sliding time windows. Feature selection was conducted by comparing the results of the Kruskal-Wallis (K-W) test and Sequential Forward Floating Selection (SFFS). The results proved that the optimal input was all PSD features. Moreover, the study analyzed the effects of electroencephalography (EEG) features from distinct brain regions and PSD changes across different MWL levels to further assess the proposed system’s performance. A 10-fold cross-validation was performed on six classifiers, and the optimal accuracy of 87.57% was attained using a multi-class K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) classifier for classifying different MWL levels. The findings indicate that the wireless headset-based system is reliable and feasible. Consequently, numerous wireless EEG device-based systems can be developed for application in diverse real-driving scenarios. Additionally, the current system contributes to future research on actual flight conditions.

Abstract Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are involved in various physiological and pathological processes. However, the role of lncRNAs in testicular germ cell tumor (TGCT) has been rarely reported. Our purpose is to comprehensively survey the expression and function of lncRNAs in TGCT. In this study, we used RNA sequencing to construct the lncRNA expression profiles of 13 TGCT tissues and 4 paraneoplastic tissues to explore the function of lncRNAs in TGCT. The bioinformatics analysis showed that many lncRNAs are differentially expressed in TGCT. GO and KEGG enrichment analyses revealed that the differentially expressed lncRNAs participated in various biological processes associated with tumorigenesis in cis and trans manners. Further, we found that the expression of LINC00467 was positively correlated with the poor prognosis and pathological grade of TGCT using WGCNA analysis and GEPIA database data mining. In vitro experiments revealed that LNC00467 could promote the migration and invasion of TGCT cells by regulating the expression of AKT3 and influencing total AKT phosphorylation. Further analysis of TCGA data revealed that the expression was negatively correlated with the infiltration of immune cells and the response to PD1 immunotherapy. In summary, this study is the first to construct the expression profile of lncRNAs in TGCT. It is also the first study to identify the metastasis-promoting role of LNC00467, which can be used as a potential predictor of TGCT prognosis and immunotherapeutic response to provide a clinical reference for the treatment and diagnosis of TGCT metastasis.

In recent years, the problem of early damage of asphalt pavement has been basically solved, and the service performance has been improved, but there are still some deficiencies in design life and service life. This paper investigates the long-life asphalt pavement structure, analyzes the design method of asphalt mixture, and summarizes the pavement design theory and related software. The long-life asphalt pavement with semi-rigid base, flexible base and combined base structure has been designed by four method, including typical load, Per-Road, D50-2006 and D50-2017. Four methods were compared by designing long-life pavements with semi-rigid base and flexible base. The results show that the proposed asphalt pavement structure can meet the requirements of Per-Road, typical load design and D50-2006. However, D50-2017 has higher requirements for the bending and tensile fatigue life of the base layer and requires a thicker base layer. When d50-2017 is used to design flexible base pavement, the fatigue life of asphalt layer should be the main control index, and the fatigue life of sub base course should be the main control index in other pavement de-sign. It remains to be seen whether the proposed highway structure can achieve the design goal of long-life asphalt pavement.

ObjectiveThe purpose of this study was to help to promote a better understanding of the male fertility preservation status in China.MethodsIn this cross-sectional survey, 1,912 healthcare providers and oncologists were surveyed anonymously using 16 questions carried out at community oncology practices in China from September 2018 to April 2021. 16 questions were designed to evaluate their knowledge on male fertility preservation in cancer patients, assess the factors they considered when deciding whether to discuss male fertility preservation with their patients.ResultsAmong the 1,912 healthcare providers (42.2% male), 1,713 (89.6%) considered that patients with cancer should be recommended for fertility preservation. 1,264 (66.1%) respondents were aware of male fertility preservation, but only 248 (13.0%) respondents knew the correct institutions. Whether a healthcare provide recommended fertility preservation to their patients depended on the provider's educational background, professional qualifications, hospital grade, area, department, and age. Among the healthcare providers, the three main factors for not recommending fertility preservation for patients with cancer were lack of suitability of the patient for fertility (28.2%), lack of knowledge of fertility preservation (28.6%), and lack of knowledge concerning the institutes that provide fertility preservation (25.4%).ConclusionDespite this, healthcare providers and oncologists in China showed a positive attitude toward fertility preservation in patients with cancer. Hence, the education of physicians should include fertility preservation, with the aim of increasing their knowledge and awareness. There should be more collaboration between oncologists and reproductive medicine specialists.

As one of the super thermal adiabatic materials nowadays, Vacuum Insulation Panel has slim thermal conductivity, which can be no more than 0.0040 W/(m·K) at an internal pressure of less than 10Pa. the excellent thermal performance makes it prosperous in cold chin experiments. Actually, Vacuum Insulation Panel is normally installed with other insulation materials as multilayer envelope in practice. However, influenced by the fluctuation of environmental factors and the difference of thermal & physical properties of materials, the overall thermal performance of multilayer insulation systems with Vacuum Insulation Panel different arrangement sequences is significantly various. A reasonable Vacuum Insulation Panel location plays an important role on the thermal performance. In this paper, the thermal insulation performance of multilayer under unsteady state condition was studied. Three chambers, with the same exterior size, that is, 300 × 300 × 300 mm3, were employed for the innovation purpose. The multi-layer insulation construction involves a 10 mm layer of Vacuum Insulation Panels and a 10 mm layer of polyurethane. And three different envelope structures, namely, internal insulation, sandwich insulation and external insulation were built according to the Vacuum Insulation Panel's location. The numerical heat transfer model and physical model were established. The simulative and experimental results were comprised and analyzed. The results implied that, to maintain the constant temperature in cold/hot chamber, the vacuum insulation panels are located on the face of temperature fluctuation side, i.e. the ambient side, and have a better overall insulation performance.

Spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) are the initial cells for the spermatogenesis. Although much progress has been made on uncovering a number of modulators for the SSC fate decisions in rodents, the genes mediating human SSCs remain largely unclear. Here we report, for the first time, that TCF3, a member of the basic helix-loop-helix family of transcriptional modulator proteins, can stimulate proliferation and suppress the apoptosis of human SSCs through targeting podocalyxin-like protein (PODXL). TCF3 was expressed primarily in GFRA1-positive spermatogonia, and EGF (epidermal growth factor) elevated TCF3 expression level. Notably, TCF3 enhanced the growth and DNA synthesis of human SSCs, whereas it repressed the apoptosis of human SSCs. RNA sequencing and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assays revealed that TCF3 protein regulated the transcription of several genes, including WNT2B, TGFB3, CCN4, MEGF6, and PODXL, while PODXL silencing compromised the stem cell activity of SSCs. Moreover, the level of TCF3 protein was remarkably lower in patients with spermatogenesis failure when compared to individuals with obstructive azoospermia with normal spermatogenesis. Collectively, these results implicate that TCF3 modulates human SSC proliferation and apoptosis through PODXL. This study is of great significance since it would provide a novel molecular mechanism underlying the fate determinations of human SSCs and it could offer new targets for gene therapy of male infertility.

The present study aimed to assess the effects of square dance exercise on the cognitive function and quality of life in older women with mild cognitive impairment and to investigate the mediating role of a depressed mood and reduced quality of life in the relationship between square dance exercise and cognition. The study design was a single-blind whole-group controlled trial. A total of 136 eligible participants were divided according to their nursing home into either an experimental or control group. The nursing home grouping was determined by the drawing of lots. The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), Quality of Life (SF-12) and Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS-15) were used to assess participants at baseline, week 9, and week 18, respectively. Generalized estimating equations (GEE) were used to compare the results at baseline with mid-test and post-test changes in cognitive function and quality of life. Maximum likelihood estimation (ML) and robust standard errors were used to perform the mediation model. The study results indicated that the experimental group (compared to the control group) had a significant improvement in cognitive function, quality of life, and mood state at baseline in the mid-test and post-test results. The results of this 18-week experiment showed that the exercise–cognition relationship was significantly mediated by a reduction in depressive symptoms (indirect effect: β = −0.375; 95% CI = −0.864 to −0.069) and an improvement in quality of life (indirect effect: β = −0.678; 95% CI = −1.222 to −0.290). This study revealed the effects of moderate-intensity square dance exercise on cognitive function and quality of life in older Chinese women with mild cognitive impairment and explored the potential mediating mechanisms. These findings can be used to inform the development of public health policies to promote brain health in older adults with mild cognitive impairment.

Many epidemiological studies have demonstrated the therapeutic benefits of exercise (EX) that can be used for adjunctive treatment in mental disorders. Despite several clinical experiments using exercise interventions, controlled studies are sparse in most disorder groups. Square dance is a popular aerobic exercise for older women in China. This study aimed to explore the effect of Chinese square dance exercise on mild mental disorders in older women. Participants included 109 older women with mild cognitive impairment from four large nursing homes. Participants were assigned either to the intervention group (n = 62) or the control group (n = 47), according to their residential nursing home. The intervention group underwent an 18-week square dance exercise, while the control group maintained their usual lifestyle. The outcomes were tested at baseline and weeks 9 and 18. The results showed that square dance exercise positively affected the results of all evaluations, especially on the participants' depressive symptoms and quality-of-life-related mental health. This study demonstrates that square dance exercise is a safe and effective approach for older women with mild cognitive impairment that benefits their long-term health.

Abstract Objective To determine whether acrosome function scoring—including acrosomal enzyme (AE) levels and acrosome reaction (AR) results—can predict fertilization rate in vitro. Methods We examined the predictive value of acrosomal enzymes (AE) determined by spectrophotometry/N-α-benzoyl-dl-arginine-p-nitroanilide for fertilization rate (FR) in vitro in a retrospective cohort study of 737 infertile couples undergoing IVF therapy. Additionally, a meta-analysis was done for prospective cohort or case-control studies; the following summary measures were reported to expand upon the findings: pooled spearman correlation coefficient (Rs), standardized mean difference (SMD), sensitivity (SEN), specificity (SPE), positive likelihood ratio (PLR), negative likelihood ratio (NLR), diagnostic score (DS), diagnostic odds ratio (DOR), and area under the summary receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC). Results Lower AE levels determined by spectrophotometry with a cut-off value of 0.05). Lower AE levels determined by fluorometry or substrate assay were used for predicting lower FR with low sensitivity and high specificity; the spectrophotometry assay had an uncertain predictive value. For induced AR assay, the diagnostic performance in the other areas was inferior to that in Africa (Rs = 0.65, SMD = 1.86). No preparation or double preparation yielded inferior results as compared to one preparation (Rs = 0.41); discontinuous gradient (Rs = 0.17, SMD = 0.47) was inferior to swim up (Rs =0.65, SMD = 1.51). Nonphysiological triggers (SMD = 0.81) did not differ from physiological triggers (SMD = 0.95) in general; ZP (Rs = 0.63) or mannose (Rs = 0.59) was superior to other physiological or nonphysiological triggers; and there was no correlation for human follicle fluid, progesterone, cyclic adenosine 3′-5′-phosphate analogue and phorbol ester–BSA-GlcNAc Neoglycoproteins with N-acetylglucosamine residues. Lower induced AR% determined by indirect immunofluorescence, direct immunofluorescence with lection, or triple stain was used for predicting lower FR, with moderate sensitivity/high specificity, moderate sensitivity/high specificity, or high sensitivity/low specificity. Conclusions Although the correlation between acrosome function scoring and FR was significant, the assays were neither highly sensitive nor specific. Additionally, the diagnostic performance showed regional effects as well as an effect of the sperm preparation or assay method. More studies of multicenter, large-scale, careful design and synthesizing multiple sperm functional assays and oocyte quality assays are still needed in clinical settings to better predict fertilization outcome in IVF.

Organic acid is an important factor that accelerates the aging of cellulosic insulation materials. In this study, the interactions between cellulose and five acids, representative of what may be found in an aging transformer, were studied using molecular dynamics. The adsorption process of the five acids onto the surface of crystalline cellulose shows that the three low molecular acids are more readily adsorbed onto cellulose than the two high molecular acids. The deformation and adsorption energies of the acids all increase with an increase in molecular weight when they are stably interacting with cellulose. However, the differences between adsorption energies and deformation energies are positive for the three low molecular acids, whereas they are negative for the two high molecular acids. This indicates that the attachments onto cellulose of low molecular acids are considerably more stabilized than those of the high molecular acids. This is consistent with the experimental results. Furthermore, based on the calculated solubility parameters of acids, the experimental result that the three low molecular acids are to a large degree absorbed onto the cellulose, whereas the two high molecular acids remain in the oil, was theoretically elucidated using the theory of similarity and intermiscibility.

Abstract In order to improve the measurement accuracy of mutual inductance parameters of transmission lines in the environment of double circuit power lines without power outage, this paper establishes simulation models for measuring mutual inductance parameters of transmission lines using the different frequency method in two modes: equal and unequal zero sequence self‐parameters of two circuit lines, using a parallel zero sequence coupling model of double circuit power lines. In the article, simulation analysis is conducted on the line parameters with a coupling coefficient between 0.4 and 0.6 and a line length of 20–50 km. In order to further verify the correctness of the simulation model and measurement methods, a test bench was established based on the principle of line mutual inductance parameter testing in a laboratory dual circuit line without a power outage environment for experimental testing. By comparing the test values under experimental conditions with the standard values, it has been proven that the model and method can meet the actual measurement requirements of engineering.
