Abstract The development of cathode materials with controllable physicochemical structures and explicit catalytic sites is important in rechargeable Zn–air batteries (ZABs). Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) have garnered increasing attention owing to their facile synthesis methods, ordered pore structure, and selectivity of functional groups. However, the sluggish kinetics of oxygen evolution reaction (OER) or oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) inhibit their practical applications in ZABs. Herein, nucleophilic substitution is adopted to synthesize pyridine bi‐triazine covalent organic framework (denoted as O‐COF), and meanwhile, ionothermal conversion synthesis is employed to load MOx (M=Fe, Co) onto carbon nanosheet (named as FeCo@NC) to modulate the electronic structure. The Fe, Co‐N codoped carbon material possesses a large portion of pyridinic N and M‐N, high graphitization, and a larger BET surface area. An outstanding bifunctional activity has been exhibited in FeCo@NC, which provides a small voltage at 10 mA cm−2 for OER (E10 = 1.67 V) and a remarkable half‐wave voltage for ORR (E1/2 = 0.86 V). More impressively, when assembling ZABs, it displays notable rate performance, significant specific capacity (783.9 mAh gZn−1), and satisfactory long‐term endurance. This method of regulating covalent organic framework and ionothermal synthesis can be extended to design diverse catalysts.

Abstract Carbon‐based materials have been found to accelerate the sluggish kinetic reaction and are largely subject to the overall Zn‐air batteries (ZABs) property, while their full catalytic mechanism is still not excavated because of the indistinct internal structure and immature in‐situ technology. Up to now, systematic methods have been utilized to study and design promising high‐performance carbon‐based catalysts. To resolve the real active units and catalytic mechanism, developing molecular catalyst is a significant strategy. Herein, the review will initiate to briefly introduce the working principle and composition of ZABs. An important statement is correspondingly provided about the typical structure and catalytic mechanisms for the air cathode material. It also presents the tremendous endeavors on the catalytic performance and stability of carbon‐based material. Furthermore, combined with theoretical calculation, the self‐defined active sites are analyzed to understand the catalytic character, where the molecular catalyst is subsequently summarized and discussed through highlighting the unambiguous and controllable structure, in the hope of surfacing the optimum catalyst. Building on the fundamental understanding of carbon‐based and molecular catalysts, this review is expected to provide guidance and direction toward designing future mechanistic studies and ORR electrocatalysts.

Precipitation (P) is the sole water source supporting plant growth in the desert steppe, governing the structure and function of plant communities. Nevertheless, how changes in precipitation alter species composition and affect interspecific relationships within plant communities remains unclear. To address this, we simulated five precipitation gradients, ranging from 50 % (P−50 %), 70 % (P−30 %), 100 % (PCK), 130 % (P+30 %), to 150 % (P+50 %) relative to ambient precipitation. We assessed the effects of precipitation treatments and seasonality on plant community structure and species composition in late spring, mid-summer, and late summer. Results showed that (1) The desert grassland plant community exhibited an asymmetric response to precipitation amount and seasonal variatt steppe ecosystems, interspecific connectivity reflecion, where the impact of late-spring precipitation on the quantitative traits, importance values (IV), and mean niche overlap of communities was greater than that of mid-summer and late-summer precipitation, and the effects of decreased precipitation were more significant than those of increased precipitation. (2) The niche of perennial plants did not change with the season, while the IV and ecological niche width (B) of annual plants increased as the seasons passed. (3) Decreased precipitation reduced the mean niche overlap of all species, the B of Leguminosae plants, and the IV of all species except for Stipa breviflora and Convolvulus ammannii. (4) The overall association index indicated a positive correlation among communities, showing significant correlations in P+50 %, P−30 %, and P−50 %. The association index between populations gradually shifted from negative to positive with decreasing precipitation. Therefore, we suggest that both drought and wetness tend to intensify interspecific interactions within the community. More importantly, drought transformed the population relationships from competition to mutualistic symbiosis.

IntroductionPsoriasis is a chronic skin condition characterized by immune-mediated inflammation. Recent research suggests a possible interaction between Helicobacter pylori infection and the immunopathogenesis of psoriasis. However, over the past 5 years, no significant new evidence has clarified the relationship between H. pylori and skin diseases. This study aimed to determine the relationship between H. pylori infection and psoriasis through a systematic review and meta-analysis.MethodsWe searched for articles published in databases including PubMed, Embase, the China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and Web of Science up to January 1, 2024. Statistical analyses were conducted using Review Manager 5.3 and Stata 12.0 software.ResultsOur search yielded 271 papers. After rigorous screening by multiple reviewers, 15 studies involving 2,427 individuals were included. At present, a single post-processing technology will always introduce secondary defects (trace pollution elements and structural defects) while removing surface processing defects of fused silica components, which limits the further improvement of the laser damage threshold of the components. Therefore, to effectively remove surface defects in optically-processed fused silica and suppress defect regeneration is the key to improve the laser damage resistance performance of the components. Based on the complementarity of anisotropic ion beam etching and isotropic HF acid etching, a combined etching technology is proposed for fused silica components used in engineering. The combined etching can remove most of the fragmented defects on fused silica surface to achieve relatively good surface quality with a root mean square roughness of 0.666 nm. After the combined etching, the contents of most impurity elements decrease by approximately an order of magnitude. Besides, the contents of the structural defects significantly reduce. Therefore, The zero probability damage threshold and the 100 % probability damage threshold increase by 32.41 % and 57.46 %, respectively. The results show that the combined etching technology can effectively improve the laser damage resistance performance of fused silica components, especially under high fluence laser irradiation, which is very important for the high power output and stable operation of laser facilities.

PurposeThe impact of aortic stenosis (AS) severity on multidirectional myocardial function in patients with bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) remains unclear, despite the recognized presence of early left ventricular longitudinal myocardial dysfunction in BAV patients with normal valve function. The aim of the study was to evaluate the multidirectional myocardial functions of BAV patients.MethodsA total of 86 BAV patients (age 46.71 ± 13.62 years, 69.4% men) with normally functioning (BAV-nf), mild AS, moderate AS, and severe AS with preserved left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF ≥ 52%) were included. 30 healthy volunteers were recruited as the control group. Background:Psoriasis represents a multifaceted and debilitating immune-mediated systemic ailment afflicting millions globally. Despite the continuous discovery of biomarkers associated with psoriasis, identifying lysosomal biomarkers, pivotal as cellular metabolic hubs, remains elusive.Methods:We employed a combination of differential expression analysis and weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) to initially identify lysosomal genes. Subsequently, to mitigate overfitting and eliminate collinear genes, we applied 12 machine learning algorithms to screen robust lysosomal genes. These genes underwent further refinement through random forest (RF) and Lasso algorithms to ascertain the final hub lysosomal genes. To assess their predictive efficacy, we conducted receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis and verified the expression of diagnostic biomarkers at both bulk and single-cell levels. Furthermore, we utilized single-sample gene set enrichment analysis (ssGSEA), CIBERSORT, and Pearson’s correlation analysis to elucidate the association between immune phenotypes and hub lysosomal genes in psoriatic samples. Finally, employing the Cellchat algorithm, we explored potential mechanisms underlying the participation of these hub lysosomal genes in cell-cell communication.Results:Functional enrichment analyses revealed a close association between psoriasis and lysosomal functions. Subsequent intersection analysis identified 19 key lysosomal genes, derived from DEGs, phenotypic genes of WGCNA, and lysosomal gene sets. Following the exclusion of collinear genes, we identified 11 robust genes, further refined through RF and Lasso, yielding 3 hub lysosomal genes (S100A7, SERPINB13, and PLBD1) closely linked to disease occurrence, with high predictive capability for disease diagnosis. Concurrently, we validated their relative expression in separate bulk datasets and single-cell datasets. A nomogram based on these hub genes may offer clinical advantages for patients. Notably, these three hub genes facilitated patient classification into two subtypes, namely metabolic-immune subtype 1 and signaling subtype 2. CMap analysis suggested butein and arachidonic fasudil as preferred treatment agents for subtype 1 and subtype 2, respectively. Finally, through Cellchat and correlation analysis, we identified PRSS3-F2R as potentially promoting the expression of hub genes in the psoriasis group, thereby enhancing keratinocyte-fibroblast interaction, ultimately driving psoriasis occurrence and progression.Conclusion:Our study identifies S100A7, SERPINB13, and PLBD1 as potential diagnostic biomarkers, offering promising prospects for more precisely tailored psoriatic immunotherapy designs.

Background Left atrial reservoir strain (LARS) is a novel imaging biomarker of left ventricular diastolic dysfunction. This study aimed to examine the prognostic implications of LARS in patients with bicuspid aortic valve and significant (moderate‐severe to severe) aortic regurgitation. Methods and Results A total of 220 patients with bicuspid aortic valve and significant aortic regurgitation were prospectively enrolled in our study. LARS and left ventricular global longitudinal strain were derived from speckle‐tracking echocardiography. t(1;19)(q23;p13) is one of the most common translocation genes in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and is also present in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and mixed-phenotype acute leukemia (MPAL). This translocation results in the formation of the oncogenic E2A-PBX1 fusion protein, which contains a trans-activating domain from E2A and a DNA-binding homologous domain from PBX1. Despite its clear oncogenic potential, the pathogenesis of E2A-PBX1 fusion protein is not fully understood (especially in leukemias other than ALL), and effective targeted clinical therapies have not been developed. To address this, we established a stable and heritable zebrafish line expressing human E2A-PBX1 (hE2APBX1) for high-throughput drug screening. Blood phenotype analysis showed that hE2APBX1 expression induced myeloid hyperplasia by increasing myeloid differentiation propensity of hematopoietic stem cells (HSPCs) and myeloid proliferation in larvae, and progressed to AML in adults. Mechanistic studies revealed that hE2A-PBX1 activated the TNF/IL-17/MAPK signaling pathway in blood cells and induced myeloid hyperplasia by upregulating the expression of the runx1. Interestingly, through high-throughput drug screening, three small molecules targeting the TNF/IL-17/MAPK signaling pathway were identified, including OUL35, KJ-Pyr-9, and CID44216842, which not only alleviated the hE2A-PBX1- induced myeloid hyperplasia in zebrafish but also inhibited the growth and oncogenicity of human pre-B ALL cells with E2A-PBX1. Overall, this study provides a novel hE2A-PBX1 transgenic zebrafish leukemia model and identifies potential targeted therapeutic drugs, which may offer new insights into the treatment of E2A-PBX1 leukemia.

Packed with diverse bioactive compounds, this species manifests a spectrum of pharmacological effects, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antidiabetic, immunomodulatory, neuroprotective, and cardiovascular protective properties.MethodsThis study employs CiteSpace visual analysis software and a bibliometric analysis platform, drawing upon the Web of Science (WOS) database for literature spanning the last decade. Through a comprehensive analysis of available literature from WOS and Google Scholar, we present a thorough summary of the health benefits, phytochemistry, active compounds, and pharmacological effects of C. officinalis. Particular emphasis is placed on its potential in developing functional drugs and foods.Results and DiscussionWhile this review enhances our understanding of C. officinalis as a prospective therapeutic agent, its clinical applicability underscores the need for further research and clinical studies to validate findings and establish safe and effective clinical applications.

Background: Oxidative stress is crucial in experimental autoimmune myocarditis (EAM)-induced inflammatory myocardial injury. Ursolic acid (UA) is an antioxidant-enriched traditional Chinese medicine formula. The present study aimed to investigate whether UA could alleviate inflammatory cardiac injury and determine the underlying mechanisms.Methods: Six-week-old male BALB/c mice were randomly assigned to one of the three groups: Sham, EAM group, or UA intervention group (UA group) by gavage for 2 weeks. An EAM model was developed by subcutaneous injection of α-myosin heavy chain derived polypeptide (α-MyHC peptide) into lymph nodes on days 0 and 7. Echocardiography was used to assess cardiac function on day 21. The inflammation level in the myocardial tissue of each group was compared using hematoxylin and eosin staining (HE) of heart sections and Interleukin-6 (IL-6) immunohistochemical staining. Masson staining revealed the degree of cardiac fibrosis. Furthermore, Dihydroethidium staining, Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) were used to determine the mechanism of cardioprotective effects of UA on EAM-induced cardiac injury, and the level of IL-6, Nrf2, and HO-1.Results: In EAM mice, UA intervention significantly reduced the degree of inflammatory infiltration and myocardial fibrosis while improving cardiac function. Mechanistically, UA reduced myocardial injury by inhibiting oxidative stress (as demonstrated by a decrease of superoxide and normalization of pro- and antioxidant enzyme levels). Interestingly, UA intervention upregulated the expression of antioxidant factors such as Nrf2 and HO-1. In vitro experiments, specific Nrf2 inhibitors reversed the antioxidant and antiapoptotic effects of ursolic acid, which further suggested that the amelioration of EAM by UA was in a Nrf2/HO-1 pathway-dependent manner.Conclusion: These findings indicate that UA is a cardioprotective traditional Chinese medicine formula that reduces EAM-induced cardiac injury by up-regulating Nrf2/HO-1 expression and suppressing oxidative stress, making it a promising therapeutic strategy for the treatment of EAM.

BackgroundThe relationship between acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and cardiac function is not well established. This study aimed to evaluate whether AML patients exist early myocardial damages prior to chemotherapy and to investigate its association with cardiovascular biomarkers.MethodsConventional echocardiography and three-dimensional speckle-tracking strain analysis were performed prospectively in 72 acute leukemia (AL) patients before any chemotherapy therapy (of whom 44 were AML patients, 28 ALL patients). The results were compared with those from 58 control group matched for age and gender.ResultsThere were no significant differences in conventional biventricular systolic function parameters between AL patients and controls. Abstract Purpose To predict miscarriage outcome within 12 weeks of gestational age by evaluating values of serum estradiol, progesterone and β-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-HCG) within 9 weeks of gestation. Methods One hundred sixty-five women with singleton pregnancies were retrospectively studied. Estradiol, progesterone and β-HCG levels were measured at 5–6 weeks of gestation and the measurements were repeated at 7–9 weeks. According to pregnancy outcome at 12 weeks of gestation, 71 cases were categorized into miscarriage group, and 94 cases into group of normal pregnancy. Each group was further divided into 5–6 and 7–9 weeks of gestation sub-group. Predictive values of estradiol, progesterone and β- HCG levels at 5–6 weeks and 7–9 weeks of gestation were analyzed with receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and logistic regression. Results Serum levels of estradiol at 7–9 weeks identified miscarriage with an area under the ROC curve (AUC) of 0.866 (95% CI 0. 793 ~ 0.938, P = 0.000), diagnostic cutoff value of 576 pg/ml, sensitivity of 0.804, and specificity of 0.829 respectively at the optimal threshold, according to Youden index. A large-aperture silicon carbide (SiC) aspheric mirror has the advantages of being light weight and having a high specific stiffness, which is the key component of a space optical system. However, SiC has the characteristics of high hardness and multi-component, which makes it difficult to realize efficient, high-precision, and low-defect processing. To solve this problem, a novel process chain combining ultra-precision shaping based on parallel grinding, rapid polishing with central fluid supply, and magnetorheological finishing (MRF) is proposed in this paper. The key technologies include the passivation and life prediction of the wheel in SiC ultra-precision grinding (UPG), the generation and suppression mechanism of pit defects on the SiC surface, deterministic and ultra-smooth polishing by MRF, and compensation interference detection of the high-order aspheric surface by a computer-generated hologram (CGH). The verification experiment was conducted on a Ø460 mm SiC aspheric mirror, whose initial surface shape error was 4.15 μm in peak-to-valley (PV) and a root-mean-square roughness (Rq) of 44.56 nm. After conducting the proposed process chain, a surface error of RMS 7.42 nm and a Rq of 0.33 nm were successfully obtained. Moreover, the whole processing cycle is only about 216 h, which sheds light on the mass production of large-aperture silicon carbide aspheric mirrors.

Recently, Jia et al. employed the index, modified remote sensing ecological index (MRSEI), to evaluate the ecological quality of the Qaidam Basin, China. The MRSEI made a modification to the previous remote sensing-based ecological index (RSEI), which is a frequently used remote sensing technique for evaluating regional ecological status. Based on the investigation of the ecological implications of the three principal components (PCs) derived from the principal component analysis (PCA) and the case study of the Qaidam Basin, this comment analyzed the rationality of the modification made to RSEI by MRSEI and compared MRSEI with RSEI. The analysis of the three PCs shows that the first principal component (PC1) has clear ecological implications, whereas the second principal component (PC2) and the third principal component (PC3) have not. Therefore, RSEI can only be constructed with PC1. However, MRSEI unreasonably added PC2 and PC3 into PC1 to construct the index. This resulted in the interference of each principal component. The addition also significantly reduced the weight of PC1 in the computation of MRSEI. The comparison results show that MRSEI does not improve RSEI, but causes the overestimation of the ecological quality of the Qaidam Basin. Therefore, the modification made by MRSEI is questionable and MRSEI is not recommended to be used for regional ecological quality evaluation.

Bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) is the most common congenital cardiac abnormality. BAV aortic dilatation is associated with an increased risk of adverse aortic events and represents a potentially lethal disease and hence a considerable medical burden. BAV with aortic dilatation warrants frequent monitoring, and elective surgical intervention is the only effective method to prevent dissection or rupture. The predictive value of the aortic diameter is known to be limited. The aortic diameter is presently still the main reference standard for surgical intervention owing to the lack of a comprehensive understanding of BAV aortopathy progression. This article provides a brief comprehensive review of the current knowledge on BAV aortopathy regarding clinical definitions, epidemiology, natural course, and pathophysiology, as well as hemodynamic and clinically significant aspects on the basis of the limited data available.

Background Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with high heterogeneity is one of the most frequent malignant tumors throughout the world. However, there is no research to establish a ferroptosis-related lncRNAs (FRlncRNAs) signature for the patients with HCC. Therefore, this study was designed to establish a novel FRlncRNAs signature to predict the survival of patients with HCC. Method The expression profiles of lncRNAs were acquired from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. FRlncRNAs co-expressed with ferroptosis-related genes were utilized to establish a signature. Cox regression was used to construct a novel three FRlncRNAs signature in the TCGA cohort, which was verified in the GEO validation cohort. Results Three differently expressed FRlncRNAs significantly associated with prognosis of HCC were identified, which composed a novel FRlncRNAs signature. According to the FRlncRNAs signature, the patients with HCC could be divided into low- and high-risk groups. Background Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most universal malignant liver tumors worldwide. However, there were no systematic studies to establish glycolysis‑related gene pairs (GRGPs) signatures for the patients with HCC. Therefore, the study aimed to establish novel GRGPs signatures to better predict the prognosis of HCC. Methods Based on the data from Gene Expression Omnibus, The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and International Cancer Genome Consortium databases, glycolysis-related mRNAs were used to construct GRGPs. Cox regression was applied to establish a seventeen GRGPs signature in TCGA dataset, which was verified in two validation (European and American, and Asian) datasets. Results Seventeen prognostic GRGPs (HMMR_PFKFB1, CHST1_GYS2, MERTK_GYS2, GPC1_GYS2, LDHA_GOT2, IDUA_GNPDA1, IDUA_ME2, IDUA_G6PD, IDUA_GPC1, MPI_GPC1, SDC2_LDHA, PRPS1_PLOD2, GALK1_IER3, MET_PLOD2, GUSB_IGFBP3, IL13RA1_IGFBP3 and CYB5A_IGFBP3) were identified to be significantly progressive factors for the patients with HCC in the TCGA dataset, which constituted a GRGPs signature. The patients with HCC were classified into low-risk group and high-risk group based on the GRGPs signature. The GRGPs signature was a significantly independent prognostic indicator for the patients with HCC in TCGA (log-rank P = 2.898e−14). Consistent with the TCGA dataset, the patients in low-risk group had a longer OS in two validation datasets (European and American: P = 1.143e−02, and Asian: P = 6.342e−08). Additionally, the GRGPs signature was also validated as a significantly independent prognostic indicator in two validation datasets. Conclusion The seventeen GRGPs and their signature might be molecular biomarkers and therapeutic targets for the patients with HCC.

Abstract Background The computer-controlled optical surfacing (CCOS) technology, which has advantages of high certainty and high convergence rate for surface error correction, has been widely applied in the manufacture of large-aperture optical elements. However, due to the convolution effect, the mid-spatial-frequency (MSF) errors are difficult to be restrained in CCOS. Methods Consequently, this paper presents a theoretical and experimental investigation on the generation of MSF errors, aiming to reveal its main influencing factors, and figure out the optimized parameters and the controlling strategies for restraining MSF errors. A surface topography simulation model for the generation of MSF errors was established first. Based on which, orthogonal simulation experiments were designed and conducted for the following three parameters, i.e., tool influence function (TIF), path type, and path spacing. Subsequently, the proposed model was verified through the practical polishing experiments. Results and conclusions The results demonstrated the influencing degree of the parameters and the optimized combination of parameters, and provided process guidance for restraining MSF errors in CCOS.

Antibiotics are commonly used in livestock and poultry farming. Residual antibiotics in manure may lead to antibiotic pollution of soil, surface water, and groundwater through land application and run-off rainfall. The black soldier fly (BSF) Hermetia illucens is a good candidate for manure management. We evaluated the effect of sulfonamide pollution on the growth of H. illucens. Four treatments were considered with a sulfonamide content in the feed of 0 (control group), 0.1, 1, and 10 mg/kg. The control larvae were fed without sulfonamide. Survival and development status of the individuals were recorded daily. The weights of the fifth instar larvae, prepupae, and pupae were checked. Antioxidant enzyme activity was determined with the fifth instar larvae. The results showed that a low (0.1 and 1 mg/kg) concentration of sulfonamides had no effects on larval survival, pupation, and eclosion of BSFs. A high sulfonamide concentration of 10 mg/kg had a significant effect on the survival of larvae and pupae and on the body weight of larvae, prepupae and pupae. Peak of the cumulated pupation rate and eclosion rate in the sulfonamide treatment of 10 mg/kg was very low. Pupation and eclosion in this group peaked later than that of the control and low sulfonamide concentration treatment groups (0.1 mg/kg and 1 mg/kg). Larvae from the sulfonamides group showed lower antioxidase activities than that of the control. In sulfonamide groups, the activity of peroxidase and superoxide dismutase was reduced in a concentration-dependent manner. Sulfamonomethoxine, sulfamethoxazole, and sulfamethazine were not detected in the harvested prepupae. Only sulfadiazine was discovered in the sulfonamide treatments of 1 and 10 mg/kg. In conclusion, BSFs can tolerate certain concentrations of sulfonamide contamination.

The bicuspid aortic valve, a kind of heart disease that comes from parents, has been paid attention around the world. Although most bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) patients will suffer from some complications including aortic stenosis, aortic regurgitation, endocarditis, and heart dysfunction in the late stage of the disease, there is none symptom in the childhood, which restrains us to diagnose and treatment in the onset phase of BAV. Hemodynamic abnormalities induced by the malformations of the valves in BAV patients for a long time will cause BAV-associated aortopathy: including progress aortic dilation, aneurysm, dissection and rupture, cardiac cyst and even sudden death. At present, preventive surgical intervention is the only effective method used in this situation and the diameter of the aorta is the primary reference criterion for surgery. And the treatment effects are always not satisfactory for patients and clinicians. Therefore, we need more methods to evaluate the progression of BAV and the surgery value and the appropriate intervention time by combining basic research with clinical treatment. In this review, advances in morphology, genetic, biomarkers, diagnosis and treatments are summarized, which expects to provide an update about BAV. It is our supreme expectations to provide some evidences for BAV early screening and diagnosis, and in our opinion, personalized surgical strategy is the trend of future BAV treatment.

Hermetia illucens is an important resource insect for the conversion of organic waste. Quantitative PCR (qPCR) is the primary tool of gene expression analysis and a core technology of molecular biology research. Reference genes are essential for qPCR analysis; however, a stability analysis of H. illucens reference genes has not yet been carried out. To find suitable reference genes for normalizing gene expression data, the stability of eight housekeeping genes (including ATP6V1A, RPL8, EF1, Tubulin, TBP, GAPDH, Actin and RP49) was investigated under both biotic (developmental stages, tissues and sex) and abiotic (heavy metals, food, antibiotics) conditions. Gene expression data were analysed by geNorm, NormFinder, BestKeeper, and ΔCt programs. A set of specific reference genes was recommended for each experimental condition using the results of RefFinder synthesis analysis. This study offers a solid foundation for further studies of the molecular biology of H. illucens.

Aiming at nonlinear and nonstationary characteristics of the different degree with single fault gear tooth broken, pitting, and composite fault gear tooth broken-pitting, a method for the diagnosis of absolute deviation of gear faults is presented. The method uses ADAMS, respectively, set-up dynamics model of single fault gear tooth broken, pitting, and composite fault gear tooth broken-pitting, to obtain the result of different degree of broken teeth, pitting the single fault and compound faults in the meshing frequency, and the amplitude frequency doubling through simulating analysis. Through the comparison with the normal state to obtain the sensitive characteristic of the fault, the absolute value deviation diagnostic approach is used to identify the fault and validate it through experiments. The results show that absolute deviation rank diagnostic approach can realize the recognition of gear single faults and compound faults with different degrees and provide quick reference to determine the degree of gear fault.

Cobalt-based materials are regarded as greatly active and stable catalysts zinc-air batteries (ZABs). However, details of Co active units are particularly elusive, and it is notoriously difficult to implement precise control, impeding the further improvement of electrochemical performance. Herein, theoretical models of Co-Nx (x = 2 and 4) are systematically designed and studied; the Co-N2 model can effectively perfect the rate-determining steps for the oxygen reduction reaction (*O / *OH, 0.27 eV) and oxygen evolution reaction (*OOH / * + O2, 0.25 eV). On this basis, utilizing a pyrolysis-free route, the well-defined Co-N2 structure is precisely designed and constructed in the specified atomic configuration. The method proposes atomic precision to regulate the bonding type of M-N2 units (M = Fe, Cu, and Ni). As expected, co-poly(5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-aminophenyl)porphyrin) with Co-N2 active units (Co-PTAPP) demonstrates a rapid kinetic process (34.7 mV dec-1), superior to that of the porphyrin organic covalent material with Co-N4 active centers (Co-POC), matching well with calculated results. In addition, a high-efficiency water uptake hydrogel (PVA-IL), with 1-hydroxylethy-3-methylimidazolium chloride (HOEtMImCl) as the hydrating agent, is efficiently synthesized. Applying optimized PVA-IL in flexible ZABs enables a long discharge time (500 min) at 4 mA cm-2, surpassing that of the PVA hydrogel. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To improve the efficiency and protection level of combustible gas explosion relief in urban underground pipeline corridors, we built a 150 × 150 × 2000 mm³ transparent pipeline experimental platform to simulate underground pipeline corridors and studied the effect of different positions and diameters of explosion relief conduits on the side of the pipeline on the characteristics of the explosion of methane in the pipeline. The results show that the flame is twisted and deformed at the bend, increasing the contact area between the fuel and oxygen, thus causing flame acceleration. Wall conduit relief bend in the flame has a certain hysteresis, in the front end of the bend, and the back end of the pipe wall conduit were installed, the flame propagation time of 254 ms, and 200 ms, respectively, increased by 71 ms, and 17 ms, the delay ratio of 38.80%, 9.29%, respectively. When the front part of the pipe wall conduit pipe diameter of 60 mm, 80 mm, and 100 mm, the flame propagation time was delayed 71 ms, 82 ms, and 105 ms, the delay ratio of 38.80%, 44.81%, 57.38%, and the position of the front of the pipe wall conduit pipe diameter is larger, the lower the peak explosion pressure.
