Objective: To compare the patency of graft and anastomoses in sequential and individual coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). Methods: Our study used the Cochrane Library database, Excerpta Medica database, Web of Science, and PubMed. Studies comparing the outcomes of graft or anastomosis patency were assessed independently by two reviewers to identify the literature of satisfaction. We used Review Manager and STATA software for statistical analysis. Results: Fifteen cohort studies were analyzed, including 10681 patients, 12957 grafts, and 4341 anastomoses, under sequential and individual CABG. Compared with the sequential group, the individual one is statistically significant in the graft patency [risk ratio (RR)=1.07, 95% confidence interval (CI ) 1.01–1.13; p=0.02] and anastomosis patency (RR=1.06, 95% CI 1.01–1.12; p=0.005). Conclusion: Our study suggested that the patency of the individual group, in terms of graft and anastomosis patency, is better than that of the sequential one.

DL-3-n-butylphthalide (NBP) is commonly used to treat ischemic strokes due to its antioxidative and anti-inflammatory effects. The present study aimed to examine the protective effects of NBP on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI) by establishing a MIRI model in H9c2 cells. Cell viability assay using Cell Counting Kit-8, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) cytotoxicity and lipid peroxidation malondialdehyde (MDA) content were assessed to detect cell activity, degree of cell injury and oxidative stress reaction. Reverse transcription-quantitative PCR was used to quantify the expression of inflammatory factors in H9c2 cells. Western blotting and immunofluorescence staining were used to detect the protein expression of PI3K/AKT and heat shock protein 70 (HSP70). The present results indicated that NBP significantly increased cell viability during ischemia-reperfusion. Moreover, NBP inhibited the release of LDH and the production of MDA. NBP treatment also significantly decreased the expression of inflammatory factors at the mRNA level. Additionally, NBP activated the PI3K/AKT pathway and upregulated the expression of HSP70 compared with cells in the MIRI model. LY294002, a PI3K inhibitor, reversed the protective effects of NBP and suppressed the expression of HSP70. The present study demonstrated that NBP protected H9c2 cells from MIRI by regulating HSP70 expression via PI3K/AKT pathway activation.

Campus data analysis is becoming increasingly important. In this work, based on the students’ consumption behavior in the canteen, we study the correlation between the students’ consumption expenditure and China’s national price level, as well as the relationship between the number of merchants to whom students make payments and students’ own economic conditions. Specifically, the students’ consumption expenditure increases with the price level, and the male consumption is significantly higher than that of the female; in addition, the better the students’ economic condition, the more canteen merchants that students choose. Finally, we propose a model for predicting the student consumption group, which can divide the students into high, moderate and low consumption groups. Experiment results show that the model can be used as an effective tool for predicting the consumption groups of students.
