Search

How multiple close-in super-Earths form around stars with masses lower than that of the Sun is still an open issue. Several recent modeling studies have focused on planet formation around M-dwarf stars, but so far no studies have focused specifically on K dwarfs, which are of particular interest in the search for extraterrestrial life. We aim to reproduce the currently known population of close-in super-Earths observed around K-dwarf stars and their system characteristics. We performed 48 high-resolution N-body simulations of planet formation via planetesimal accretion using the existing GENGA software running on GPUs. In the simulations we varied the initial disk mass and the solid and gas surface density profiles. Each simulation began with 12000 bodies with radii of between 200 and 2000 km around two different stars, with masses of 0.6 and 0.8 $M_{\odot}$. Most simulations ran for 20 Myr, with several simulations extended to 40 or 100 Myr. The mass distributions for the planets with masses between 2 and 12 $M_\oplus$ show a strong preference for planets with masses $M_p<6$ $M_\oplus$ and a lesser preference for planets with larger masses, whereas the mass distribution for the observed sample increases almost linearly. However, we managed to reproduce the main characteristics and architectures of the known planetary systems and produce mostly long-term angular-momentum-deficit-stable, nonresonant systems, but we require an initial disk mass of 15 $M_\oplus$ or higher and a gas surface density value at 1 AU of 1500 g cm$^{-2}$ or higher. Our simulations also produce many low-mass planets with $M<2$ $M_\oplus$, which are not yet found in the observed population, probably due to the observational biases. The morphological diversity of galaxies is a relevant probe of galaxy evolution and cosmological structure formation. However, in large sky surveys, even the morphological classification of galaxies into two classes, like late-type (LT) and early-type (ET), still represents a significant challenge. In this work we present a Deep Learning (DL) based morphological catalog built from images obtained by the Southern Photometric Local Universe Survey (S-PLUS) Data Release 3 (DR3). Our DL method achieves an precision rate of 98.5$\%$ in accurately distinguishing between spiral, as part of the larger category of late type (LT) galaxies, and elliptical, belonging to early type (ET) galaxies. Additionally, we have implemented a secondary classifier that evaluates the quality of each galaxy stamp, which allows to select only high-quality images when studying properties of galaxies on the basis of their DL morphology. From our LT/ET catalog of galaxies, we recover the expected color--magnitude diagram in which LT galaxies display bluer colors than ET ones. Furthermore, we also investigate the clustering of galaxies based on their morphology, along with their relationship to the surrounding environment. As a result, we deliver a full morphological catalog with $164314$ objects complete up to $r_{petro}<18$, covering $\sim 1800$ deg$^2$, including a significant area of the Southern hemisphere that was not covered by previous morphology catalogues., Comment: 22 pages, 24 figures

Intracluster light is thought to originate from stars that were ripped away from their parent galaxies by gravitational tides and galaxy interactions during the build up of the cluster. The stars from such interactions will accumulate over time, so semi-analytic models suggest that the abundance of intracluster stars is negligible in young proto-clusters at z~2 and grows to around a quarter of the stellar mass in the oldest, most mature clusters. In contrast to these theoretical expectations, we report on the detection of intracluster light within two proto-clusters at z=2 using deep HST images. We use the colour of the intracluster light to estimate its mass-to-light ratio in annuli around the brightest cluster galaxies (BCG), up to a radius of 100 kpc. We find that $54\pm5$% and $71\pm3$% of the stellar mass in these regions is located more than 10 kpc away from the BCGs in the two proto-clusters. This low concentration is similar to BCGs in lower redshift clusters, and distinct from other massive proto-cluster galaxies. This suggests that intracluster stars are already present within the core 100 kpc of proto-clusters. We compare these observations to the Hydrangea hydrodynamical galaxy cluster simulations and find that intracluster stars are predicted to be a generic feature of group-sized halos at z=2. We present a catalogue of 4499 groups and clusters of galaxies from the first data release of the multi-filter (5 broad, 7 narrow) Southern Photometric Local Universe Survey (S-PLUS). These groups and clusters are distributed over 273 deg$^2$ in the Stripe 82 region. They are found using the PzWav algorithm, which identifies peaks in galaxy density maps that have been smoothed by a cluster scale difference-of-Gaussians kernel to isolate clusters and groups. Using a simulation-based mock catalogue, we estimate the purity and completeness of cluster detections: at S/N>3.3 we define a catalogue that is 80% pure and complete in the redshift range 0.1 10^{14}$ M$_\odot$. We also assessed the accuracy of the catalogue in terms of central positions and redshifts, finding scatter of $\sigma_R=12$ kpc and $\sigma_z=8.8 \times 10^{-3}$, respectively. Moreover, less than 1% of the sample suffers from fragmentation or overmerging. The S-PLUS cluster catalogue recovers ~80% of all known X-ray and Sunyaev-Zel'dovich selected clusters in this field. This fraction is very close to the estimated completeness, thus validating the mock data analysis and paving an efficient way to find new groups and clusters of galaxies using data from the ongoing S-PLUS project. We quantify the relative importance of environmental quenching versus pre-processing in $z\sim1$ clusters by analysing the infalling galaxy population in the outskirts of 15 galaxy clusters at $0.810^{11}M_{\odot}$ were quenched prior to infall, whilst up to half of lower mass galaxies were environmentally quenched after passing the virial radius. Subsequent to the Moon's formation, late accretion to the terrestrial planets strongly modified the physical and chemical nature of silicate crusts and mantles. This alteration came in the form of melting through impacts, as well as the belated addition of volatiles and the highly siderophile elements (HSEs). Current debate centres on whether the lunar HSE record is representative of its whole late accretion history or alternatively that these were only retained in the mantle and crust after a particular time, and if so, when. Here we employ improved Monte Carlo impact simulations of late accretion onto the Moon and Mars and present an updated chronology based on new dynamical simulations of leftover planetesimals and the E-belt. We take into account the inefficient retention of colliding material. We compute the crater and basin densities on the Moon and Mars, the largest objects to strike these planets and the amount of material they accreted. Outputs are used to infer the mass in leftover planetesimals at a particular time period, which is then compared to the lunar HSE abundance. From this estimate we calculate a preferred lunar HSE retention age of ca. 4450 Ma which means that the modelled lunar mantle HSE abundances trace almost all of lunar late accretion. Based on our results, the surface ages of the lunar highlands are at least 4370 Ma. We find that the mass of leftover planetesimals with diameters Di<300 km at 4500 Ma that best fits the crater chronology is approximately 2x10^{-3} Earth mass (ME) while the mass of the E-belt was fixed at 4.5x10^{-4} ME. We also find that a leftover planetesimal mass in excess of 0.01 ME results in a lunar HSE retention age younger than major episodes of lunar differentiation and crust formation, which in turn violates geochemical constraints for the timing and intensity of late accretion to the Earth (Mojzsis et al., 2019)., Comment: Accepted in Icarus after 5 rounds of review

We develop a privacy-preserving distributed algorithm to minimize a regularized empirical risk function when the first-order information is not available and data is distributed over a multi-agent network. We employ a zeroth-order method to minimize the associated augmented Lagrangian function in the primal domain using the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM). We show that the proposed algorithm, named distributed zeroth-order ADMM (D-ZOA), has intrinsic privacy-preserving properties. Unlike the existing privacy-preserving methods based on the ADMM where the primal or the dual variables are perturbed with noise, the inherent randomness due to the use of a zeroth-order method endows D-ZOA with intrinsic differential privacy. By analyzing the perturbation of the primal variable, we show that the privacy leakage of the proposed D-ZOA algorithm is bounded. In addition, we employ the moments accountant method to show that the total privacy leakage grows sublinearly with the number of ADMM iterations. D-ZOA outperforms the existing differentially private approaches in terms of accuracy while yielding the same privacy guarantee. We prove that D-ZOA converges to the optimal solution at a rate of $\mathcal{O}(1/M)$ where $M$ is the number of ADMM iterations. The convergence analysis also reveals a practically important trade-off between privacy and accuracy. Simulation results verify the desirable privacy-preserving properties of D-ZOA and its superiority over a state-of-the-art algorithm as well as its network-wide convergence to the optimal solution.

Subsequent to the Moon's formation, late accretion to the terrestrial planets modified their silicate crusts and mantles. We combine dynamical N-body and Monte Carlo simulations to determine impact probabilities, impact velocities, and expected mass augmentation onto the terrestrial planets from three sources: planetesimals left over from primary accretion, asteroids from the E-belt, and comets arriving from the outer Solar System. We present estimates of the amount of cometary material striking the terrestrial planets in an early episode of planetesimal-driven giant planet migration (Mojzsis et al., 2019). The Moon and Mars suffer proportionally higher cometary accretion than Venus and Earth. The background mass addition from small leftover planetesimals to Earth and Mars is far less than independent estimates based on their mantle abundances of highly-siderophile elements. This supports the theory that both planets were struck by single large bodies that delivered most of their mass augmentation since primary accretion. We present fits to the impact chronologies valid from 4500 Ma to ca. 3700 Ma. The lunar timeline thus obtained is at odds with both the calibrated Neukum (Neukum et al., 2001) and Werner (Werner et al., 2014; Werner, 2019) chronologies. For Mars, the match with its calibrated Werner chronology is no better; by increasing the mass of the E-belt by a factor of four the dynamical lunar and martian chronologies are in line with that of Werner (2019) and match constraints from the current population of Hungaria asteroids. Yet, neither of our dynamical timelines fit well with that of Neukum. The dynamical lunar and martian chronologies are also different from each other. Consequently, the usual extrapolation of such chronologies from one planetary body to the other is technically inappropriate., Comment: Accepted in Icarus

In this paper we present a thorough discussion about the photometric redshift (photo-z) performance of the Southern Photometric Local Universe Survey (S-PLUS). This survey combines a 7 narrow + 5 broad passband filter system, with a typical photometric-depth of r$\sim$21 AB. For this exercise, we utilize the Data Release 1 (DR1), corresponding to 336 deg$^{2}$ from the Stripe-82 region. We rely on the \texttt{BPZ2} code to compute our estimates, using a new library of SED models, which includes additional templates for quiescent galaxies. When compared to a spectroscopic redshift control sample of $\sim$100k galaxies, we find a precision of $\sigma_{z}<$0.8\%, $<$2.0\% or $<$3.0\% for galaxies with magnitudes r$<$17, $<$19 and $<$21, respectively. A precision of 0.6\% is attained for galaxies with the highest \texttt{Odds} values. These estimates have a negligible bias and a fraction of catastrophic outliers inferior to 1\%. The Southern Photometric Local Universe Survey (S-PLUS) is imaging ~9300 deg^2 of the celestial sphere in twelve optical bands using a dedicated 0.8 m robotic telescope, the T80-South, at the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory, Chile. The telescope is equipped with a 9.2k by 9.2k e2v detector with 10 um pixels, resulting in a field-of-view of 2 deg^2 with a plate scale of 0.55"/pixel. The survey consists of four main subfields, which include two non-contiguous fields at high Galactic latitudes (8000 deg^2 at |b| > 30 deg) and two areas of the Galactic plane and bulge (for an additional 1300 deg^2). S-PLUS uses the Javalambre 12-band magnitude system, which includes the 5 u, g, r, i, z broad-band filters and 7 narrow-band filters centered on prominent stellar spectral features: the Balmer jump/[OII], Ca H+K, H-delta, G-band, Mg b triplet, H-alpha, and the Ca triplet. S-PLUS delivers accurate photometric redshifts (delta_z/(1+z) = 0.02 or better) for galaxies with r < 20 AB mag and redshift < 0.5, thus producing a 3D map of the local Universe over a volume of more than 1 (Gpc/h)^3. The final S-PLUS catalogue will also enable the study of star formation and stellar populations in and around the Milky Way and nearby galaxies, as well as searches for quasars, variable sources, and low-metallicity stars. In this paper we introduce the main characteristics of the survey, illustrated with science verification data highlighting the unique capabilities of S-PLUS. This paper describes the Polarimetric and Helioseismic Imager on the Solar Orbiter mission (SO/PHI), the first magnetograph and helioseismology instrument to observe the Sun from outside the Sun-Earth line. It is the key instrument meant to address the top-level science question: How does the solar dynamo work and drive connections between the Sun and the heliosphere? SO/PHI will also play an important role in answering the other top-level science questions of Solar Orbiter, as well as hosting the potential of a rich return in further science. SO/PHI measures the Zeeman effect and the Doppler shift in the FeI 617.3nm spectral line. To this end, the instrument carries out narrow-band imaging spectro-polarimetry using a tunable LiNbO_3 Fabry-Perot etalon, while the polarisation modulation is done with liquid crystal variable retarders (LCVRs). The line and the nearby continuum are sampled at six wavelength points and the data are recorded by a 2kx2k CMOS detector. To save valuable telemetry, the raw data are reduced on board, including being inverted under the assumption of a Milne-Eddington atmosphere, although simpler reduction methods are also available on board. SO/PHI is composed of two telescopes; one, the Full Disc Telescope (FDT), covers the full solar disc at all phases of the orbit, while the other, the High Resolution Telescope (HRT), can resolve structures as small as 200km on the Sun at closest perihelion. The high heat load generated through proximity to the Sun is greatly reduced by the multilayer-coated entrance windows to the two telescopes that allow less than 4% of the total sunlight to enter the instrument, most of it in a narrow wavelength band around the chosen spectral line., Comment: 36 pages, 41 figures

The intensity and effects of early impact bombardment on the major satellites of the giant planets during an episode of giant planet migration is still poorly known. We use a combination of dynamical N-body and Monte Carlo simulations to determine impact probabilities, impact velocities, and expected masses that collide with these satellites to determine the chronology of impacts during the migration. Volatile loss through bombardment is typically 20% for Miranda, a few percents for the larger Uranian satellites and negligible for the Galilean satellites. Due to its small size and the high impact velocity there is a >99% chance that Miranda suffered a catastrophic impact that shattered the satellite. Subsequent re-accretion from a circum-Uranian ring could account for its peculiar surface morphology and low density. The probability to destroy Ariel and Umbriel is 15% and 1% for Titania and Oberon. Approximately 90% of the mass in planetesimals that passes through the Jovian and Uranian satellite systems (about $4 {\rm \ M_{\oplus}}$ and $2 {\rm \ M_{\oplus}}$ respectively) does so in about 15 Myr. This extremely rapid and intense bombardment causes repeated local crustal melting on all satellites. The combination of these effects results in an entirely different impact chronology than that of the inner solar system. We conclude that the simple extrapolation of the lunar chronology to the outer solar system satellites is not correct. The tail end (after 25 Myr) of the chronology function has an e-folding time of 100 Myr at Jupiter, but follows a cumulative Weibull distribution at Uranus, making direct comparisons between the gas and ice giant planets difficult. Based on our results the surfaces of the Uranian satellites, Callisto, and possibly Ganymede, are all about the same age, and are roughly 150 Myr younger than the timing of the dynamical instability., Comment: 24 pages, 5 figures, accepted for publication in Earth and Planetary Science Letters

Pan-STARRS1 has carried out a set of distinct synoptic imaging sky surveys including the $3\pi$ Steradian Survey and the Medium Deep Survey in 5 bands ($grizy_{P1}$). The mean 5$\sigma$ point source limiting sensitivities in the stacked 3$\pi$ Steradian Survey in $grizy_{P1}$ are (23.3, 23.2, 23.1, 22.3, 21.4) respectively. The upper bound on the systematic uncertainty in the photometric calibration across the sky is 7-12 millimag depending on the bandpass. The systematic uncertainty of the astrometric calibration using the Gaia frame comes from a comparison of the results with Gaia: the standard deviation of the mean and median residuals ($ \Delta ra, \Delta dec $) are (2.3, 1.7) milliarcsec, and (3.1, 4.8) milliarcsec respectively. The Pan-STARRS system and the design of the PS1 surveys are described and an overview of the resulting image and catalog data products and their basic characteristics are described together with a summary of important results. The quantum mechanical propagator of a massive particle in a linear gravitational potential derived already in 1927 by Earle H. Kennard \cite{Kennard,Kennard2} contains a phase that scales with the third power of the time $T$ during which the particle experiences the corresponding force. Since in conventional atom interferometers the internal atomic states are all exposed to the same acceleration $a$, this $T^3$-phase cancels out and the interferometer phase scales as $T^2$. In contrast, by applying an external magnetic field we prepare two different accelerations $a_1$ and $a_2$ for two internal states of the atom, which translate themselves into two different cubic phases and the resulting interferometer phase scales as $T^3$. It is generally accepted that silicate-metal (`rocky') planet formation relies on coagulation from a mixture of sub-Mars sized planetary embryos and (smaller) planetesimals that dynamically emerge from the evolving circum-solar disc in the first few million years of our Solar System. Once the planets have, for the most part, assembled after a giant impact phase, they continue to be bombarded by a multitude of planetesimals left over from accretion. Here we place limits on the mass and evolution of these planetesimals based on constraints from the highly siderophile element (HSE) budget of the Moon. Outcomes from a combination of N-body and Monte Carlo simulations of planet formation lead us to four key conclusions about the nature of this early epoch. First, matching the terrestrial to lunar HSE ratio requires either that the late veneer on Earth consisted of a single lunar-size impactor striking the Earth before 4.45 Ga, or that it originated from the impact that created the Moon. An added complication is that analysis of lunar samples indicates the Moon does not preserve convincing evidence for a late veneer like Earth. Second, the expected chondritic veneer component on Mars is 0.06 weight percent. Third, the flux of terrestrial impactors must have been low ( <=10^(-6) M_earth/Myr) to avoid wholesale melting of Earth's crust after 4.4~Ga, and to simultaneously match the number of observed lunar basins. This conclusion leads to an Hadean eon which is more clement than assumed previously. Last, after the terrestrial planets had fully formed, the mass in remnant planetesimals was ~10^(-3) M_earth, lower by at least an order of magnitude than most previous models suggest. Our dynamically and geochemically self-consistent scenario requires that future N-body simulations of rocky planet formation either directly incorporate collisional grinding or rely on pebble accretion., Comment: Accepted for publication in Earth and Planetary Science Letters

The Grand Tack model of terrestrial planet formation has emerged in recent years as the premier scenario used to account for several observed features of the inner solar system. It relies on early migration of the giant planets to gravitationally sculpt and mix the planetesimal disc down to ~1 AU, after which the terrestrial planets accrete from material left in a narrow circum-solar annulus. Here we have investigated how the model fares under a range of initial conditions and migration course-change (`tack') locations. We have run a large number of N-body simulations with a tack location of 1.5 AU and 2 AU and tested initial conditions using equal mass planetary embryos and a semi-analytical approach to oligarchic growth. We make use of a recent model of the protosolar disc that takes account of viscous heating, include the full effect of type 1 migration, and employ a realistic mass-radius relation for the growing terrestrial planets. Results show that the canonical tack location of Jupiter at 1.5 AU is inconsistent with the most massive planet residing at 1 AU at greater than 95% confidence. This favours a tack farther out at 2 AU for the disc model and parameters employed. Of the different initial conditions, we find that the oligarchic case is capable of statistically reproducing the orbital architecture and mass distribution of the terrestrial planets, while the equal mass embryo case is not., Comment: Accepted for publication in The Astrophysical Journal

PLATO 2.0 has recently been selected for ESA's M3 launch opportunity (2022/24). Providing accurate key planet parameters (radius, mass, density and age) in statistical numbers, it addresses fundamental questions such as: How do planetary systems form and evolve? Are there other systems with planets like ours, including potentially habitable planets? The PLATO 2.0 instrument consists of 34 small aperture telescopes (32 with 25 sec readout cadence and 2 with 2.5 sec candence) providing a wide field-of-view (2232 deg2) and a large photometric magnitude range (4-16 mag). It focusses on bright (4-11 mag) stars in wide fields to detect and characterize planets down to Earth-size by photometric transits, whose masses can then be determined by ground-based radial-velocity follow-up measurements. Asteroseismology will be performed for these bright stars to obtain highly accurate stellar parameters, including masses and ages. The combination of bright targets and asteroseismology results in high accuracy for the bulk planet parameters: 2%, 4-10% and 10% for planet radii, masses and ages, respectively. The planned baseline observing strategy includes two long pointings (2-3 years) to detect and bulk characterize planets reaching into the habitable zone (HZ) of solar-like stars and an additional step-and-stare phase to cover in total about 50% of the sky. PLATO 2.0 will observe up to 1,000,000 stars and detect and characterize hundreds of small planets, and thousands of planets in the Neptune to gas giant regime out to the HZ. It will therefore provide the first large-scale catalogue of bulk characterized planets with accurate radii, masses, mean densities and ages. This catalogue will include terrestrial planets at intermediate orbital distances, where surface temperatures are moderate. The neutron is electrically neutral, but its substructure consists of charged quarks so it may have an internal charge distribution. In fact it is known to have a negative mean square charge radius (MSCR), the second moment of the radial charge density. In other words the neutron has a positive core and negative skin. In the first Born approximation the neutron MSCR can be simply related to the neutron-electron scattering length b_ne. In the past this important quantity has been extracted from the energy dependence of the total transmission cross-section of neutrons on high-Z targets, a very difficult and complicated process. A few years ago S.A. Werner proposed a novel approach to measuring b_ne from the neutron's dynamical phase shift in a perfect crystal close to the Bragg condition. We are conducting an experiment based on this method at the NIST neutron interferometer which may lead to a five-fold improvement in precision of b_ne and hence the neutron MSCR., Comment: 5 pages, 2 figures

We have performed high precision measurements of the zero-energy neutron scattering amplitudes of gas phase molecular hydrogen, deuterium, and $^{3}$He using neutron interferometry. We find $b_{\mathit{np}}=(-3.7384 \pm 0.0020)$ fm\cite{Schoen03}, $b_{\mathit{nd}}=(6.6649 \pm 0.0040)$ fm\cite{Black03,Schoen03}, and $b_{n^{3}\textrm{He}} = (5.8572 \pm 0.0072)$ fm\cite{Huffman04}. When combined with the previous world data, properly corrected for small multiple scattering, radiative corrections, and local field effects from the theory of neutron optics and combined by the prescriptions of the Particle Data Group, the zero-energy scattering amplitudes are: $b_{\mathit{np}}=(-3.7389 \pm 0.0010)$ fm, $b_{\mathit{nd}}=(6.6683 \pm 0.0030)$ fm, and $b_{n^{3}\textrm{He}} = (5.853 \pm .007)$ fm. The precision of these measurements is now high enough to severely constrain NN few-body models. The n-d and n-$^{3}$He coherent neutron scattering amplitudes are both now in disagreement with the best current theories. The new values can be used as input for precision calculations of few body processes. We have performed high-precision measurements of the coherent neutron scattering lengths of gas phase molecular hydrogen and deuterium using neutron interferometry. After correcting for molecular binding and multiple scattering from the molecule, we find b_{np} = (-3.7384 +/- 0.0020) fm and b_{nd} = (6.6649 +/- 0.0040) fm. Our results are in agreement with the world average of previous Measurements, b_{np} = (-3.7410 +/- 0.0010) fm and b_{nd} = (6.6727 +/- 0.0045) fm. The new world averages for the n-p and n-d coherent scattering lengths, including our new results, are b_{np} = (-3.7405 +/- 0.0009) fm and b_{nd} = (6.6683 +/- 0.0030) fm. We compare bnd with the calculations of the doublet and quartet scattering lengths of several nucleon-nucleon potential models and show that almost all known calculations are in disagreement with the precisely measured linear combination corresponding to the coherent scattering length. Combining the world data on b_{nd} with the modern high-precision theoretical calculations of the quartet n-d scattering lengths recently summarized by Friar et al., we deduce a new value for the doublet scattering length of ^{2}a_{nd} = [0.645 +/- 0.003(expt) +/- 0.007(theory)] fm. This value is a factor of 4, more precise than the previously accepted value of ^{2}a_{nd} = [0.65 +/- 0.04(expt)] fm. The current state of knowledge of scattering lengths in the related p-d system, ideas for improving by a factor of 5 the accuracy of the b_{np} and b_{nd} measurements using neutron interferometry, and possibilities for further improvement of our knowledge of the coherent neutron scattering lengths of 3H, 3He, and 4He are discussed., Comment: 22 pages, 19 figures

We have performed the first high precision measurement of the coherent neutron scattering length of deuterium in a pure sample using neutron interferometry. We find b_nd = (6.665 +/- 0.004) fm in agreement with the world average of previous measurements using different techniques, b_nd = (6.6730 +/- 0.0045) fm. We compare the new world average for the nd coherent scattering length b_nd = (6.669 +/- 0.003) fm to calculations of the doublet and quartet scattering lengths from several modern nucleon-nucleon potential models with three-nucleon force (3NF) additions and show that almost all theories are in serious disagreement with experiment. This comparison is a more stringent test of the models than past comparisons with the less precisely-determined nuclear doublet scattering length of a_nd = (0.65 +/- 0.04) fm., Comment: 4 pages, 4 figures

A necessary condition for the occurrence of this phenomenon in isotropic dielectric-magnetic mediums is presented.
