Розглянуто ставлення держав до визвольної боротьби українського народу середини XVII ст. Оцінюється місце та роль козацтва в дипломатичних іграх і його вплив, як політичної рівноваги на розстановку сил у Європі. In this article the review of the diplomatic relations in the 1st half of XVII century was conducted and was made a conclusion that the Ukrainian Liberation war in 1648-1654 was a significant event in European history of XVII century, which had a major and lasting international response. It has contributed to changes in the balance of power in Eastern Europe, and thus significantly influenced in the European political situation.
