A teacher is required to be able to develop competence and update the latest information technology. One form of technology update that can be done by teachers is participating in training programs.. This research uses a qualitative approach by carrying out the type of case study research. The results showed that training planning can be done in several stages. The first stage is the administrative and scheme preparation stage carried out by the committee together with representatives from PT Daihatsu East Java. The implementation of training begins with the socialization of the industrial curriculum, in this program teachers are introduced to industrial competencies which are used as material for curriculum alignment. The next training is the assessment of prospective competency test assessors. The process of becoming a competency test assessor involves several important stages. Prospective assessors must take part in training and examinations organized by PT Daihatsu in the Pintar Bersama Daihatsu (PBD) program. The final result of the assessment of prospective assessors is proven by an assessor certificate that can be used to guarantee the quality of student graduation when conducting competency tests at school.

Advances in technology go hand in hand with innovation in the industry, so teachers must prepare students to satisfy industry needs. Teacher apprenticeship is a program that must be implemented in order to improve teacher competence. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with a multicase study type. Research on Islamic Vocational School 1 Blitar City and Veterans Vocational School 1 Tulungagung. Based on the findings, the implementation of teacher apprenticeship cannot be separated from the collaboration that exists between SMK and industry. The cooperation includes planning, implementation, evaluation and certification. Teacher internships can be carried out because schools provide support to teachers and industry which always provide opportunities. Obstacles in the implementation of teacher internships exist in the implementation time which must adjust the teacher's teaching hours, so that the implementation time is limited or waiting for holidays.

Assessment or evaluation is the activity of collecting student information or a program of activities related to certain dimensions or attributes, such as student learning outcomes in teaching a field of study or the effectiveness of studying a field of study organized by the teacher, to be compared. Dimensional or characteristic excellence standards are associated with students or activity programs. For example, Quizizz, a digital platform that helps students master reading, is a multiplayer class activity that allows all students to practice reading skills using mobile devices, such as tablets, iPads, and Smartphones. This research use the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE research development model which is very applicable in the development of formal education. Based on the results of the validation value analysis carried out by two validators, the average percentage of very feasible category assessment instruments was 90.62 percent. Based on the results of the validity test shown on the 32 multiple choice HOTS questions used in the pilot study with 33 students, 26 items were determined to be valid. Based on the results of the reliability test, the value of the test analysis is included in the "high" category. The study of the difficulty level of the 32 questions yielded the following results: 15 simple questions, 14 moderate questions, and three challenging questions. In addition, according to the analysis of discriminatory power, nine items fall into the proper category, 21 items fall into the good category, one item falls into the poor category, and one item falls into the very poor category.

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Work Attitude (X 1), and the application of K3 (X 2) to the Expertise Competency Test (Y) both partially and simultaneously and describe each variable X 1, X 2 and Y. The research design used is quantitative with descriptive correlational research type. The population in this study were all XII grade students of SMK Islam 1 Blitar.The sampling technique was carried out using proportional random sampling technique. The sample of this study was class XII students of the TITL Department of SMK Islam 1 Blitar which consisted of 11 classes with a sample size of 87 students. The data sources in this study are primary data sourced from questionnaires and secondary data from Google Schoolar. The data collection technique in this study was carried out by distributing questionnaires to the respondent sample. The data obtained were tested with a partial correlation test to reveal the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable both partially and simultaneously. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between Work Attitude and the Skills Competency Test of class XII ITT Department students of SMK Islam 1 Blitar, there is a relationship between the Application of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) to the Skills Competency Test of class XII ITT Department of SMK Islam 1 Blitar, there is a positive and significant relationship between Work Attitude and the Application of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) to the Skills Competency Test of class XII ITT Department students of SMK Islam 1 Blitar.

This study aims to improve learning outcomes by applying learning models to Realistic Mathematic Education on material for arithmetic operations on fractions in class V SDN 1 Karangkendal, Kapetakan District, Cirebon Regency. This research is a Classroom Action Research conducted in 3 cycles. The subjects of this study were 29 grade 5 students at SDN 1 Karangkendal, Kapetakan District, Cirebon Regency. Research data was collected through tests. This data analysis uses a qualitative descriptive analysis technique. The results showed increased learning outcomes in fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Karangkendal, Kapetakan District, Cirebon Regency, through a learning model, Realistic Mathematic Education. The increase in student learning outcomes is shown by the increasing number of students who meet the Minimum Mastery Criteria scores. In cycle one there were 62.1% of students achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria scores. Then, in cycle two there were 75.9% of students had achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria score; in cycle three, 86.2% of students had achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria score. Based on these results, there is an increase in student learning outcomes with the application of learning models Realistic Mathematic Education on material for arithmetic operations on fractions at SDN 1 Karangkendal, Kapetakan District, Cirebon Regency.

The paper aims to describe the effort to optimize special job fairs in the tracer study conducted by Public Vocational High School (PVHS). This was a literature review using the content analysis method, in which the researcher reviewed some research and studies published in both national and international journals and other written works relevant to the topic of this article, namely optimalizing Special Job Fairs in VET tracer studies. The result of the review showed that the unemployment rate of VHS graduates was higher than that of other educational institutions. One of the causal factors behind this poor condition was the fact that those graduates had difficulty making steps in building their career after graduation. This suggested the need for the optimization of special job fairs as events held to provide strategic direction and illustration of what VHS students should do after graduation. The pandemic of COVID19 has affected education system, especially since the government issued the lockdown policy. However, it does not suspend learning ativities, which constitutes a formidable challenge for both educators and students. The purpose of this research was to know the effectiveness of the distance learning process through the use of Google Classroom in financial accounting class at Public Vocational High School 1 of Pagerwojo, Tulungagung. This was quantitative research using descriptive method and focusing on the evaluation of the learning process through online media. The research population was the eleventh-grade students, majoring in Accountung and Financial Institutions (AFI). The research involved 32 of AFI 1 students as the research sample. The reserach data were colleted using questionnaires, and the data were analyed using descriptive statistics. The research found that the distance learning using Google Classroom is effective enough. This is corroborated by the fact that students prefer Google Classroom to other online media, because they feel that the features of Google Classroom are easy to understand and run.

Online learning during the pandemic of COVID-19 in accounting and financial institution major of Public Vocational High School 1 of Boyolangu has not been evaluated as yet, which makes the effect and result of the learning still unknown; therefore, this research aimed to evaluate the online learning established at the school. The model of evaluation adopted in this research was Kirkpatrick’s two levels of evaluation: reaction and learning. The purposes are to measure students’ satisfaction with the online learning and understanding of subject materials given during the online learning. The data in this research were collected through questionnaires. The research found that students on the whole felt satisfied with the establishment of online learning during the pandemic for at least two reasons: students began to feel comfort and used to online learning and the information technology skills of both teachers and students improved by virtue of online learning. However, there were some problems which impaired the effectiveness of online learning, including limited internet quota and poor internet connection. Additionally, students had difficulty completing practical assignments because some of them did not possess laptops, and sometimes teachers had not given them any explanation of the subject materials before

Vocational High Schools are expected to produce graduates able to create job vacancies and produce competitive job seekers. For this purpose, they need a special curriculum. One of the applicable learning methods relevant to the need is the creation of production units. By having practical experience in a business unit, vocational students are expected to have a motivation to make entrepreneurial endeavors so that vocational graduates are able to work professionally in the industrial world and work independently as entrepreneurs. This research was a descriptive using the qualitative approach. The data were collected by holding interviews to describe the effectiveness of the production unit of a welding workshop in indicating the entrepreneurial preparedness of the students of Public Vocational High School (PVHS) 2 Tulungagung. The research result showed that the implementation of the learning model for welding production unit affected students’ interest in entrepreneurship and preparedness for it. As many as 55.88 percent of respondents expressed their readiness for entrepreneurship after graduation. However, the welding production unit of PVHS 2 Tulungagung still needed evaluation and improvement especially in their marketing, students’ involvement and the management of financial administration

Leucaena leucocephala (lmk.) de Wit) (leed tree) seeds have been fermented by Indonesian as a traditional food which is called tempeh. The fermentation products of legume seeds are good functional foods, since they contain many bioactive compounds. The objective of this study was to determine the bioactive compound contents of fermented lead tree seed, such as total phenolic, ascorbic acid, β-carotene and a-tocopherol. Antioxidant activity testing was carried out using the thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) method. Analysis of total phenolics, ascorbic acid, β-carotene and a-tocopherol were carried out using the folin-ciocalteu method, iodine titration, spectrophotometry and iron (III) chloride-thiocyanate, respectively. Rhizopus oligosporus was used to ferment lead tree seeds for 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 days. Fermented leed tree seed powder was extracted with petroleum ether followed by ethanol. In comparison to unfermented leed tree seed powder, the β-carotene and a-tocopherol of the fermented seed powder increased. The greatest enhancement of β-carotene and a-tocopherol contents were observed at day 2 of fermentation. The highest antioxidant activities of fermented leed tree seeds were also obained at day 2 of fermentation with 55.55±4.59 and 74.46±3.49% inhibition in petroleum ether and ethanol extracts, respectively. The results show that lead tree seed tempeh has high antioxidant activity due to the bioactive compounds contains, such as phenolics, β-carotene and a-tocopherol. Therefore, leed tree seed tempeh could be used for possible commercial production of functional food to alleviate oxidative stress.

Technological developments make telecommunications networks through internet access an urgent matter due to the increasing human need for communication. The purpose of this study was to describe the development model of a fiber optic laboratory in order to improve students and teachers’ competency. This research used a descriptive qualitative case study method at Public Vocational High School (PVHS) of Dwija Bhakti 1 Jombang. The results stated that the fiber optic laboratory development model is used to print graduates to have competencies that are in accordance with their fields and are expected to be able to compete in the industrial world. Schools collaborate with industry through the provision of fiber optic laboratories as an effort to improve these competencies. By conducting several stages, namely applying the MoU, affording the tools, branding and mocking-ups. In addition, there are teacher training and certification activities followed by curriculum implementation, student certification and the last is activity evaluation. It can be concluded that the development of fiber optic laboratory procurement at Public Vocational High School (PVHS) of Dwija Bhakti 1 Jombang has been in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Education and Culture with PT Telkom regarding the link and match curriculum in the field of fiber optic.

The industrial class was formed to provide a knowledge and broader insight to students based on the development of competencies required by industries. However, several Vocational High Schools (VHS) unused industrial classes during the pandemic because the school partner industries is being impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. The study was conducted to determine the implementation of industrial class model used during the pandemic. The research method uses quasi-qualitative. The research was conducted at Telkom Malang Vocational High School on software engineering skills competency. The finding showed collaboration form in the industrial class between industriesand VHS are curriculum synchronization, student selection, teacher training, implementation of street vendors and job recruitment. The implementation of industrial class is done online by monitoring students by school and industry supervisors. Industrial class students have a group project task formed. Supporting and inhibiting factors in the sustainability of the industrial class during the pandemic. Supporting factors are selected students with high abilities by selection process, and industrial partner support for industrial class implementation. While the inhibiting factor is online learning process, it cannot help the teacher to monitor student activities and build students mental directly. Teachers with good competency will impact the quality of Education. The teachers' responsibility in educating, teaching, guiding, managing, training, and evaluating must be well-developed so that the results can directly contribute in improving the quality of education because qualified teachers could manifest a highly qualified education. Therefore, some factors that have determinant values need to be considered as necessary to construct qualified teachers. Teachers' competency improvement can be made in various ways, including through the training session. Teacher training aimed to advance the competence of teachers, especially for Machinery Engineering teachers so that they can meet the specified standards. The training model designed in the paper sought to explain 2D and 3D CADD training with the 2020 inventor using the project-based learning model. This paper was expected to be able to manifest the concept of teacher training using Project Based-Learning in training institution so that it can be able to help in improving the teachers' competency

One of the viable solutions to the fossil fuel energy crisis was to seek alternative sources of environmentally friendly energy with the same or better quality such as bioethanol. It was possible to produce bioethanol from organic waste, e.g., corncob. This research aimed to obtain the lowest exhaust emission levels of CO and CO2 generated from a gasoline motor that used a mixture of bioethanol containing 96 % corncob and RON 90 fuel. This research was experimental using Anova statistical data analysis method. The results showed that the lowest average of CO emissions was 0.177 vol% using E100 fuel, and the highest average was 2.649 vol% using 100 % RON 90 fuel, displaying a significant difference. The lowest average of CO2 emissions was 6.6 vol% using E100 fuel, and the highest was 7.51 vol% using 100 % RON 90 fuel, which was insignificantly different. The mixture variation with the lowest CO and CO2 emissions was E100.

Abstract: This research was conducted with the aim to determine the effect of communication and collaboration skills on vocational students' work readiness. The number of research respondents was 114 students. Research Instrumens using Instrumens that have been used, namely Self-Perceived Communication Competence Scale, Teamwork Scale for Youth, Work Readiness Scale. The results found that communication and collaborative skills have an influence on student work readiness simultaneously and partially. Increasing these skills will increase the vocational students' work readiness. In schools that play a role in improving communication and collaboration skills is the teacher, if outside the school the role is parents with regular supervision processes. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh keterampilan berkomunikasi dan berkolaborasi terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa SMK. Responden penelitian berjumlah 114 siswa. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan instrumen yang sudah pernah digunakan yaitu Self-Perceived Communication Competence Scale, Teamwork Scale for Youth, Work Readiness Scale. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa keterampilan berkomunikasi dan berkolaborasi memiliki pengaruh dalam kesiapan kerja siswa secara simultan dan parsial. Semakin meningkatkanya keterampilan tersebut maka semakin meningkat dalam kesiapan kerja siswa SMK. Dalam sekolah yang berperan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi dan kolaborasi adalah guru, jika berada di luar sekolah yang berperan adalah orang tua dengan proses pengawasan secara berkala.

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh self–discipline dan pengetahuan teori pemesinan secara langsung dan melalui hasil belajar praktikum pemesinan terhadap kesiapan memasuki dunia kerja siswa SMK. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan dengan sampel sebanyak 86 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan jalur dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) tidak ada berpengaruh langsung self–discipline terhadap hasil belajar praktikum pemesinan tetapi ada pengaruh langsung terhadap kesiapan memasuki dunia kerja; (2) ada berpengaruh langsung pengetahuan teori pemesinan terhadap hasil belajar praktikum pemesinan dan kesiapan memasuki dunia kerja; (3) tidak ada pengaruh tidak langsung self–discipline dan pengetahuan teori pemesinan, melalui hasil belajar praktikum pemesinan, terhadap kesiapan memasuki dunia kerja.

Salah satu cara peningkatan mutu lulusan SMK Nasional adalah dengan me­­laksanakan pendidikan kelas industri bekerjasama dengan PT Astra Honda Motor. Oleh karena itu perlu dideskripsikan: (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, (3) evaluasi, dan (4) faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksanaan; pendidikan kelas kerjasama. Pe­­nelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Pe­­nelitian dilaksanakan pada Semester ganjil 2016/2017 di SMK Nasional Malang. Ha­sil penelitian menggambarkan terdapat kerjasama yang berkategori baik antara ke­dua pihak dalam hal: (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, dan (3) evaluasi, dan (4) men­da­pat dukungan yang positif dari komite sekolah dan warga sekolah (guru, staf ad­mi­nis­­trasi, dan karyawan), serta industri. Faktor penghambat terungkap dari faktor sis­wa, yaitu meliputi: motivasi dan semangat belajar yang rendah.

Abstract: The high number of job seekers and low-level students who dare to become job creators indicates that the capabilities of vocational students in the fourth industrial revolution era are very low. This research aims at finding out the contribution of 21st century skills to the capabilities of vocational students. The research employed with quantitative approach, uses a test of causality relationship with correlation and regression analysis techniques. The results showed that 21st century skills had a causal relationship with students' abilities significantly. The contribution of 23% showed that 21st century skills were an alternative solution in developing student capabilities in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. Abstrak: Tingginya angka pengangguran pencari kerja (job seeker) lulusan SMK dan sedikit siswa yang berani menjadi pencipta lapangan kerja (job creator) meng­indikasi­kan bahwa kapabilitas siswa SMK di era revolusi industri keempat (forth indus­trial revo­lution era) sangat rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meng­etahui sumbangan 21st century skills sebagai upaya dalam mengembangkan kapabilitas siswa. Penelitian dilaku­kan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif meng­gunakan uji hubungan kausalitas dengan teknik analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 21st century skills memiliki hubungan kausal dengan kapabilitas siswa secara signifikan. Besar sumbangan 23% menunjukkan bahwa 21st century skills merupakan solusi alternatif dalam mengem­bang­kan kapabilitas siswa di era revolusi industri keempat.

Spatial Visual Intelligence and Independence Learning toward the Learning Result on the Subject of Technique Drawing in Vocational High School. Spatial visual intelligence has a significant influence on drawing techniques that are supported by student independence in the learning process. Furthermore, this study aims to determine the relationship of visual-spatial intelligence and learning independence to students’ learning result in the subject of Engineering Drawing. This research design was a correlation with a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were 82 students of class X Machining Engineering in Turen’s Vocational High School. Data collection techniques were tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis used linier and multiple regression statistics. The results showed that visual-spatial intelligence and student learning independence were high in the subject of Engineering Drawing. Each variable had a relationship with and influence on student learning result. This was indicated by the high value of student learning result. So, it can be concluded that these variables simultaneously have a positive effect on learning result.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil kinerja dari rangkaian elek­tro­plati­ng sederhana dengan menggunakan nikel sebagai logam pelapis dan spesimen baja karbon menengah sebagai logam yang dilapisi. Penelitian ini ditulis dengan hasil ana­lisis dari beberapa perlakuan elektroplating yang menggunakan temperatur larutan 64-66 oC, lama pencelupan 10, 15, dan 20 menit berdasarkan tinjauan pustaka yang ada. Hasil elektroplating dengan waktu pencelupan 10, 15, dan 20 menit diperoleh data rata-rata ketebalan lapisan sebesar 5,30; 7,93; dan 10,87 µm, semakin lama waktu pencelupan yang digunakan maka tebal lapisan logam nikel pada baja karbon menengah meningkat rata-rata penambahan lapisan sebesar 2,79 µm. Pada hasil elektroplating terdapat beberapa cacat lapisan seperti peeling, rough deposite dan pitting.

This action research is aimed at improving the student’s interest and achievement in mathematics on the topic of flat plane using think pair share (TPS). The subject of this research were 36 students of grade 7, of Muhammadiyah Junior High School of Sumbang. This is a classroom action research with three cycles each of which consisted of planning, acting, observing, evaluating, and reflecting. The data was collected using questionnaire, observation a\, and test. The result was that the mean of student’s interest was 39.97 in cycle 1 and using observation sheet the mean score is 16.67%. The mean of the students’ achievement. The result in student’s interest in cycle 2 was 47.71 and the result with observation sheet was 17.78%. The students’ achievement mean was 67.56. The research result on student’s interest in cycle 3 was 48.94 and using observation sheet the mean percentage was23.89%. The mean of the students’ achievement was 70.54%. The conclusion was that TPS could improve the students interest and achievement in mathematics. Key words: interest, achievement, think pair share
