Diabetes mellitus is one of the endocrine system disorders. Poor quality of life in patients with diabetes mellitus will cause a decrease in self-care that impairs glycaemic control, increases the risk of complications, and worsens the situation over time. This study aims to determine the relationship between duration of diabetes mellitus and quality of life in patients at Royal Prima Medan Hospital. The type of research is quantitative correlation with cross sectional approach method. The study population was all patients with diabetes mellitus who did routine check-ups at Royal Prima Hospital. The sample size was 50 people with diabetes mellitus using consecutive sampling. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate with chi square statistical test. Based on the results of the study, it can be stated that there is a significant relationship between age (p=0.026), gender (p=0.005), marital status (p=0.046), occupation (p=0.036), income (p=0.016), and duration of diabetes mellitus (p=0.001) to the quality of life of patients at Royal Prima Hospital Medan. It is recommended for health workers to conduct counselling on the importance of physical activity to prevent diabetes mellitus, and hold activities to encourage people to be active in physical activity such as prolanis healthy gymnastics every week. - Abstract
Free radicals and reactive oxygen species (ROS) are the cause of diseases such as cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular and inflammatory. The presence of an increase in the number of free radicals and excess ROS production in the body can cause an imbalance of the immune system. Therefore, additional antioxidants are needed from outside the body. During this time there are several antioxidant synthesis drugs such as (Butyl Hydroxy Anisole) BHA and (Butyl Hydroxyl Toluene) BHT. But in its use, this drug causes side effects. Therefore, it is necessary to source antioxidants that have no side effects if consumed. PRP is a product produced from fresh whole blood that contains components of Red blood cells, White blood cells, Platelets, and Plasma. Plasma contains organic and inorganic molecules and ions wherein abundant conditions serve to transport other substances. To determine the ability of PRP as an antioxidant, fractionation, and bioactivity tests for free radical capture of 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrilhydrazil (DPPH) and color decay tests at 2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenzotiazolin sulfonate] (ABTS) in vivo.. Based on the results of this study, PRP has antioxidant activity that increases along with the decrease in THE concentration of PRP with an antioxidant activity value of 10.57% with the DPPH test and 5.85% with the ABTS test at the lowest concentration (6.25 μg / mL). IC50 averages 190.29 μg/mL with DPPH test and 126.60 μg/mL with the ABTS test. The results of this study are an indication that PRP can be used as a treatment therapy related to the anti-oxidant activity

Ocean Engineering - Abstract

- Abstract
In order for reducing the epidemic Covid-19, government issued policies such as physical distancing, social distancing, and large-scale social editing (PSBB). This condition requires people to limit their activities, to stay at home, to study, work, and limit their activities at home. The education sector such as schools need to adjust the learning process gradually, directly into bold learning that can be done in the homes of individual students. This policy has a negative impact due to the implementation of the learning process at home where the learning time limit is not clear. Teachers and students experience various disturbances in the learning process such as limited tools, lack of communication, and readiness to face the online learning process. Which has an impact on children's psychological, decreasing the quality of children's skills to reduce socialization. Post-Covid Pandemic Schools is a project designed how schools adapt to this situation. Schools with social distancing protocols in classrooms and their environment, new student-centered learning methods, namely student-centered learning systems and teachers as their companions. This project is expected to provide a safe and comfortable place to study in the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic. The school will aim at Education 4.0, namely the school of flexibility and creativity, across fields remotely for learners. Keywords : Online Learning ; Covid Pandemic; Education 4.0 ; Social D istancing ABSTRAK Sebagai upaya untuk mengurangi penyebaran virus Covid-19, pemerintah mengeluarkan kebijakan seperti physical distancing, social distancing, hingga pembatasan social berskala besar (PSBB).
