This article aims to analyze the trend of Inquiry research through bibliometrics in the Google schoolar database from 2020 to 2023. The article consists of a total of 993 articles, then sorted into 788 suitable articles and analyzed. The method used in this research is article analysis using bibliometrics with the following stages: keyword search, initial search results, refining search results, compiling initial data, and data analysis. The results show that publications in scientific articles regarding Inquiry vary every year. Then, the description in Education research trends produces seven clusters, namely science process skills, science teacher, argument driven inquiry, framework, experience, critical thinking skills, and senior high school. The findings of this study are expected to help other researchers who are interested in studying and researching related to Inquiry research trends and recommend directions for further research

Social media platforms are increasingly being used to digitally disseminate clips video, audio, or animation. Some account-generated profit or fame from remaking or editing content on the video-sharing social media platform TikTok. This article consequently situates remaking video for profit purposes as digital piracy a victimless crime and therefore still challenges entertainment industries. Little is known about the drivers of these cognitive processes, the current study investigated audience reception of content preferences (movies and series) to explain piracy attitudes and behaviour. This study addresses digital platforms and interactive audiences concerning Stuart Hall’s ‘Encoding/Decoding’ model. Thereby, this study provides a conceptual research design pathways for further analysis of audience’s attitudes toward digital piracy conditions. Results of in-depth interviews with 7 subjects showed that attitudes toward digital piracy mediate or negotiate reading. The audience is fostered by desire and preference to see content, above fear of copyright law effects or economic damage to the entertainment industry. In a call to rethink the notion of digital communication, this article offers a different perspective on the gaps and links between reception studies and current digital media. Suggests ways that social media could lead to a deeper and more complex understanding of audience reception perspective meaning.

This study aims to improve students' understanding of concepts for high school class X on topic of Work and Energy. This research is a quantitative research, a type of experimental research, namely Tru Experimental Design. The research design used pre-post test experiment design. Instruments used in research using assessment of students' concept understanding. The results of the study of concept understanding using the Blended Learning model are 0.69 and Conventional is 0.64 which both use PhET media and teaching aids. Blended Learning is slightly higher. The effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning between Blended Learning classes shows the average result of understanding student concepts is 84.08 and conventional classes show the average result of understanding student concepts is 82.11. The independent t-test analysis was -1.02 and the significant 2-tailed was 0.31, while the 0.05 study alpa showed 0.300.05. Significant results show that Blended Learning classes are more effective than conventional classes.

COME MIGLIORARE IL PENSIERO CRITICO NELL’APPRENDIMENTO DELLA FISICA? UNA REVISIONE SISTEMATICA DELLA LETTERATURA Abstract Critical thinking skills are essential skills needed in the 21st century. Critical thinking skills can be trained in students through student-centered learning. Through a literature review, this research aims to determine learning models that can improve critical thinking skills in physics. Data collection was based on Scopus and Google Scholar database sources. This type of document comes from journal articles with the keywords «critical thinking», «learning models», and «physics learning» from the years (2011-2021). The literature review used procedures adapted from PRISMA. Documents published are based on predetermined content analysis criteria, including year of publication, author, article source, learning model, physics material topic, research subject, education level, and assessment. Inquiry learning and the higher-order thinking laboratory (HOT Lab) dominate the learning models used to improve critical thinking skills. The critical skills indicators used vary. Indicators of critical thinking skills. Self-regulated learning is rarely used in research instruments compared to other indicators of critical thinking skills. The instruments used are multiple-choice, essays, worksheets, and observation sheets. Research respondents at the university level are often used in studies of critical thinking skills. Fluid mechanics is a topic that is often used in research. This research contributes to improving students’ critical thinking skills through various recommended learning models. Research findings show that student-centered learning models can improve critical thinking skills.

The potential of Santen Island beach, which has been known as a tourist beach, is increasingly visible with the amount of infrastructure and tourism built by the local government. This is done as an effort to promote Santen Island, as one of the best natural tourism centers in Banyuwangi. The people of Santen Island must be prepared as a group that is aware of the potential of their village and the sustainability of its natural tourism. Santen Island is also a tourist location that is annually used as a nesting site for sea turtles that land on the coast of Banyuwangi. This is actually very contrary to the natural habits of sea turtles which prefer to make nests in quiet places without the disturbance of sound, light, and humans. Because this natural nesting site is a tourist attraction, the local residents should also be given insights related to the protection of sea turtles that land on the coast of Santen Island as wildlife protected by the Conservation Law in Indonesia. This community service aims to strengthen the awareness and knowledge of the Santen Island tourism awareness group related to the importance of the role of the community around the beach to participate in preserving wildlife and their ecosystems. The methods used to carry out community service are lectures, discussions, and brainstorming. The location of the implementation is on the beach of Pulau Santen with the target group of people in the Pulan Santen beach area. The locality development model is applied in community service activities. The understanding, awareness, and participation of the target group increased. Through the community service activities that have been carried out, the sustainability of the program is needed until a conservation education tourism model is formed that has the potential to improve the economy of the surrounding community and the preservation of biodiversity in the region. This activity provides an increase in knowledge, awareness, and participation of the target group in managing the conservation of wildlife and their ecosystems, especially sea turtles.

Problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential for individuals across various fields. These skills emphasize the importance of preparing a generation capable of solving problems and making informed decisions. Therefore, this study aimed to learn the publication trends related to problem-solving and decision-making skills for ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) from 2013 to 2022 through Bibliometric analysis. In line with the analysis, a VOSviewer software was used to graphically analyze the obtained bibliographic data. A total of 1519 documents were also analytically acquired from the Scopus database. The results showed a fluctuating trend in the number of publications, with the Journal of Chemical Education and Social Sciences being the highest contributor and the most prevalent field of study at 147 and 689 documents, respectively. The United States was also ranked first in the documents emphasizing problem-solving and decision-making skills, at 512 documents. Moreover, the University of Toronto was the most prolific affiliation, contributing the most publications at 17 documents. The representatives from Indonesia were also grouped into two institutions in the global top twenty affiliates, namely (1) the Indonesian University of Education and (2) the State University of Malang. In line with the results, 159 study experts from Indonesia contributed to the analyzed theme, as the top author originated from the United States having 7 documents. The top document excerpts were also published 240 times in the journal Expert Systems with Applications. The trend of the study visualization subsequently produced 9 clusters, problem-solving and decision-making skills, human, psychology, clinical competencies, education, curriculum, support systems, creativity, and content analysis. These results were helpful to relevant experts, regarding the analytical trend in problem-solving and decision-making skills, recommending directions for future analyses.

The purpose of this study is to investigate central java teachers’ perspective about STEM. Science, technology, engineering and mathematics or STEM recently has been becoming the most discussed in education practice. Integrating engineering and technology with science and mathematics will help teachers to deliver material using real world problem. Using project based learning to solve the problem can enhance students’ interest, collaboration, discipline, critical and creative thinking skills. In fact, survey research showed that 35 of 72 teachers in central java do not know about STEM and teachers that have implemented STEM in the class have difficulties while teaching it. The highest hurdles teachers met was time allocation. Indonesian curriculum has a lot of materials that should have delivered in a limited time makes teachers hard to implement STEM in the learning process. Followed by teachers’ difficulties to integrate between science, technology, engineering and math because there is no curriculum materials to guide them and other difficulties are school infrastructure, students motivation, and lack of preparation. Time allocation, school infrastructures, STEM integration, and preparation are the most hurdles that teacher met in the class.

Assessing the habits of mind among prospective teachers is an essential part of learning. Therefore, this research aims to develop the habits of mind instrument in the context of basic physics practicum. It was conducted using the research and development method which has three stages namely (1) planning the test, (2) implementing the test, and (3) determining the validity and reliability. The sample consisted of 105 biology teacher candidates taking basic physics courses. The habits of mind instrument developed was in the form of a questionnaire consisting of 52 items and is related to basic physics practicum. Furthermore, exploratory factor analysis and the Rasch model approach were used in developing the instrument. Based on expert judgment using Fleiss Kappa, the content validity was 0.700 and was classified in the good category. The developed instrument was considered reliable based on Cronbach’s alpha value of 0.970. The exploratory factor analysis reduced the dimensions of the instrument to 11 factors. The analysis of the Rasch model met the element of unidimensionality. There is no bias on the instrument based on gender and place of residence. However, efforts are needed to overcome the lack of creative thinking habits among prospective biology teachers.

The cognitive development of elementary school student are at a concrete operational stage, so that prospective elementary school teachers must have knowledge and experience in managing contextual and meaningful learning. The obstacle to the implementation of practicum while online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, so an alternative method is needed to carried out in a home experiment. In the daily life of the students, collision events are often encountered. Many kinds of playing ball (i.e., tennis balls, basketball, and ping-pong ball) are examples of collision events. This research aims are to develop material content elastic collision experiments of contextual science learning for prospective teachers using the Phyphox application. The Research and Development (R and D) through ADDIE design has been applied to achieve the objectives of this research. The stages of this research were carried out through the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. This research has produced a material content elastic collision experiments of contextual science learning for prospective science teachers through using the Phyphox application. The average percentage of material expert validation results related to indicator of content quality, content compliance and content language is 93.33%. The experimental results show that the coefficient of restitution of the small basketball on the ceramic floor is 0.848; for tennis balls 0.716 and for ping-pong balls is 0.836. The collision for the three types of the balls with the floor are classified as partially elastic collisions. It can be concluded that the material content elastic collision experiments of contextual science learning for prospective science teachers using the Phyphox application are in very feasible criteria and valid to be implemented in basic science concept lectures. The implication of this research indicates that smartphone-based experiments using phyphox application motivate and makes various science experiments more accessible with simple methods to analyze experiment data. Home experiment activity using Phyphox application is recommended to help students to describe and determine the type of collision, determine the energy lost during a collision and the coefficient of restitution, draw a graph of the relationship between height and time in a contextual and meaningful way of science learning activity.

This research aimed to develop a learning evaluation instrument on Newton's Law Materials using a four-tier test with a metacognitive perspective to identify students' thinking abilities from metacognition and students' misconceptions. The research employed the RD (Research and Development) design with a 4-D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The instrument was constructed by developing twelve questions. There were ten valid and reliable questions with good quality parameters (difficulty level and differentiating power). The researchers analyzed the four-tier test instrument with a metacognitive perspective approach using item difficulty level analysis, item discriminatory analysis, test reliability analysis, and expert validity testing. This research involved 30 participants in the small-scale test and 250 participants in the large-scale trial. The test results showed that the ten questions could identify students' thinking abilities from the perspective of metacognition and misconceptions on Newton's Law material. The findings of the large-scale test showed that students' thinking skills were mapped into high, medium, and low categories. Students' misconceptions were also mapped on each indicator of the questions compiled. Based on the mapping result, the highest students' misconceptions were found in the aspect of the metacognitive experience, with an average of 76 percent of students experiencing misconceptions.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara daring melalui Google Meet dan Whatsapp Group selama dua siklus. Adapun kegiatan penelitiannya meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi/evaluasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X MIPA-3 SMAN 1 Kembang. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan tes dan wawancara kemudian di analisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu pada Siklus I terdapat 57% peserta didik yang mencapai kriteria ketuntasan dan terjadi peningkatan pada Siklus II sebanyak 77% peserta didik telah mencapai kriteria ketuntasan. Peningkatan kriteria ketuntasan tersebut dapat terjadi karena guru memberi motivasi yang menarik agar peserta didik lebih fokus mengikuti pembelajaran. Kemudian, guru memonitoring kegiatan peserta didik dalam berkelompok dan mengkoordinir peserta didik agar ikut berkontribusi dalam kelompoknya. Selain itu juga memberikan tambahan waktu untuk presentasi hasil diskusi agar peserta didik dapat berdiskusi lagi jika ada perbedaan pendapat. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik kelas X MIPA-3 SMA N 1 Kembang.Kata kunci: hasil belajar kognitif, problem based learning Abstract. This study aims to determine the cognitive learning outcomes of students using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted online through Google Meet and Whatsapp Group for two cycles. The research activities include planning, implementation, observation/evaluation and reflection. The subjects of this study were students of class X MIPA-3 SMAN 1 Kembang. Data collection techniques using tests and interviews are then analyzed qualitatively. The results obtained are that in Cycle I there are 57% of students who reach the criteria of completeness and an increase in Cycle II as much as 77% of students who have achieved the criteria of completeness. The increase in the criteria for completeness can occur because the teacher provides interesting motivation so that students are more focused on participating in learning. Then, the teacher monitors the activities of students in groups and coordinates students to contribute to the group. In addition, it also provides additional time for presentation of the results of the discussion so that students can discuss again if there are differences of opinion. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model can improve the cognitive learning outcomes of students in class X MIPA-3 SMA N 1 Kembang.Keywords: cognitive learning outcomes, problem based learning

Rendahnya kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa SMK YPUI Parung, berakibat pada ketidak mampuan siswa menanggapi dan menangkap peluang ketika lulus sekolah serta ketidak mampuanya dalam menyelesaikan berbagai persoalan ketika sudah berada di dinia kerja. Kemampuan membaca peluang, potensi diri dan lingkungan, serta kemampuan berfikir menjadi penentu bisa atau tidaknya beradaptasi dengan kondisi yang ada. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk melatih siswa SMK YPUI Parung dalam menerapkan berfikir kritis dalam memecahkan masalah khususnya menangkap berbagai peluang kerja dan menyelesaikan problem ketika berada di tempat kerja. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode pelatihan guna meningkatkan pemahaman dan penerapan berfikir kritis dalam menyelesaikan masalah melalui pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan ini siswa SMK YPUI Parung mampu berfikir kritis dalam menanggapi isu-isu terkini, menangkap peluang yang menguntungkan bagi kemajuan karir, serta mampu menyelesaikan berbagai masalah yang timbul ketika berada di tempat kerja melalui pendekatan yang benar dan ilmiah. Dengan harapan dapat sukses meningkatkan kualitas hidup dan kehidupanya dimasa yang akan datang.

The Pandemic Covid-19 in Indonesia in 2020 had an impact on Termination of Employment (PHK), this has received various public opinions on social media. At a time when the poverty rate is high and unemployment increases every year, it becomes a factor of public disapproval of Termination of Employment (PHK). It is necessary to classify public opinion into a negative opinion or a positive opinion on this issue. The purpose of this study is to analyze the sentiment towards layoffs to determine negative or positive opinions using the Naïve Bayes algorithm by adding feature selection. The research stages consist of data collection, text preprocessing, feature selection, and application of algorithms. The testing process in this study uses the Rapid Miner application. The test results in this study using the Naive Bayes Algorithm, the accuracy value is 93.57% and for addition to the Naïve Bayes + PSO feature selection, the accuracy value is 93.71%. The best accuracy value in sentiment analysis of layoffs in the covid-19 pandemic is the addition of the PSO feature selection in the Naïve Bayes Algorithm, which is 0.14% better.

Graduates from undergraduate education contributed 6.31% to the unemployment rate. The Higher Education is expected to develop curriculum and learning not only scientifically oriented, but also facilitate life skills for its graduates. This study aims to analyze the profile of students about microbiology learning based on bioentrepreneurship. The research method is descriptive exploratory. The research subjects were 60 students who had taken microbiology courses in the Biology Education Study Program at FPMIPATI, Universitas PGRI Semarang, which consisted of semesters 7, 9, and 11. The instrument was a closed questionnaire with a choice of answers using the Guttman scale. A questionnaire on student perceptions of microbiology learning based on bioentrepreneurship was developed referring to perceptual indicators, namely knowledge and interest in entrepreneurship, knowledge of microbiology, relevance of microbiology concepts, bioentrepreneurship. Indicators developed in 25 questions and validated by experts and valid. The results showed that overall, the average score was 2.17. From each element, the highest average score is the Innovation element (3,4) and the lowest score from organizational creation and growth (1). Based on the data, the bioentrpreneurship profile is still low. Therefore, it is necessary to recommend the development of a learning program oriented towards bioentreprenurship in microbiology lectures.

Abstract PISA test results show that scientific literacy for many countries around the world is categorized as low. SETS is one approach that can improve scientific literacy. However, research for the combination of these two topics is still challenging to find. This article aims to systematically show the scope of scientific literacy research and SETS from 2016-2020. This study uses the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method that adopts the PRISMA systematic. The study population consisted of all articles on JRST, IJSE, SE, and JPCS and other journals from the ERIC, DOAJ, and Science Direct directories. The sample of this research is 44 articles obtained in these journals. The results of the article analysis show that JPCS, IJERE, and IJSE publish the articles with the highest quantity, where the topic of scientific literacy is the topic with the highest quantity and the combined topic of scientific literacy SETS is the topic with the least quantity. The sub-topic of scientific literacy and SETS articles most studied was the development of learning books related to scientific literacy and SETS. Most of the types of research used are empirical research types. Further research is suggested to look at the effect of SETS on scientific literacy or develop a SETS-based learning media and student learning environment in improving scientific literacy. Abstrak Hasil tes PISA menunjukan literasi sains untuk banyak negera di seluruh dunia dikategorikan rendah. SETS menjadi salah satu pendekatan yang dapat meningkatkan literasi sains. Namun, penelitian untuk gabungan kedua topik ini masih sulit ditemukan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menunjukan sistematik cakupan penelitian literasi sains dan SETS dari tahun 2016-2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode SLR (Systematic Literature Review) yang mengadopsi sistematik PRISMA. Populasi penelitian terdiri atas seluruh artikel pada JRST, IJSE, SE, dan JPCS, serta pada jurnal lainnya dari direktori ERIC, DOAJ, dan Science Direct. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 44 artikel yang diperoleh pada jurnal-jurnal tersebut. Hasil analisis artikel menunjukan JPCS, IJERE dan IJSE menerbitkan artikel dengan kuantitas terbanyak, di mana topik literasi sains menjadi topik yang kuantitas paling banyak dan topik gabungan literasi sains dan SETS menjadi topik yang kuantitas paling sedikit. Sub-topik artikel literasi sains dan SETS yang paling banyak diteliti adalah pengembangan buku pembelajaran terkait literasi sains dan SETS. Sebagian besar tipe penelitian yang digunakan ialah tipe penelitian empiris. Penelitian lebih lanjut disarankan yaitu melihat pengaruh SETS terhadap literasi sains atau mengembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran berbasis SETS dan lingkungan belajar siswa dalam meningkatkan literasi sains.

Learning process at senior high school still based on textbook oriented. It makes students less concerned with the environment especially the school environment where they study. Such condition requires a real action to solve so that the level of environmental awareness of the students is increased. This study aims to determine the relevance of research on teaching materials, ethno pedagogics, and careness of environment character as well as the effectiveness of ethno pedagogic-based-teaching materials on careness of environment character for senior high school students based on literature review. This study uses the literature review method to obtain the data. Teaching materials provide added value when sourced from the environment around the school (ethnopedagogic). Ethnopedagogy–based-teaching materials will increase character cares for the environment of high school students.

Education in the 21st Century is expected to produce human resources that have the ability to face the challenges in the development of science and technology so fast. 21st Century skills that need to be developed in students include critical thinking skills, creative thinking, collaboration, and communication. This research has purpose to determine the effectiveness of the model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) aided mind mapping to increase creative thinking skills and student collaboration. Type of research was mixed methods research design sequential exploratory. The sample of the research were 30 students of grade VIII D consisting of 16 male students and 14 female students. The analysis of the data in this research using qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. The results showed that there is an increase in scores obtained by students in creative thinking and collaboration skills. The benefits of this research for educators are to provide effective learning model reference to be used in developing the creative thinking skills and student collaboration. Based on the result of the research, can be concluded that the PBL teaching model with mind mapping in motion and force effective to be applied in developing the creative thinking skills and student collaboration.

This study is aimed to determine the impact of the ticker timer experiment using Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students’ cognitive and affective learning outcomes in Physics. The research used a quasi-experimental method which is conducted in one of the senior high schools in Semarang, Indonesia. The research subject for both experimental and control classes was chosen randomly from the population. The experimental class carried out the learning using the PBL model-based experiment and the control class implemented the Direct Instruction model. The cognitive and affective learning outcomes were collected through the test and the observation sheets. The data analysis used the t-test statistical method. The results showed that there were differences in cognitive learning outcomes between the control class and the experiment class (tcount = 1.993> ttable = 1.667). Based on the results of the observations also found differences in students' affective learning outcomes with the average value of the experimental class was 25 which is in the very good category and 23.21 for the control class which is in the good category. Based on the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that the PBL model-based experiment has a significant impact on students' cognitive and affective learning outcomes

Kondisi dunia berubah dan berkembang sangat cepat serta tidak menentu. Mindset strategis sangat diperlukan bagi setiap SDM lulusan SMK saat ini. Dengan mindset strategis memungkinkan lulusan SMK memiliki perilaku dan sikap lebih baik, benar dan terarah. Lulusan SMK diharapkan dapat (1) Menjadi SDM yang siap untuk bekerja; (2) Melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang pendidikan di atasnya; dan (3) Menjadi wirausaha. Oleh karena itu, kemampuan dalam berpikir strategis, benar, teliti, cermat, dan konsisten menjadi elemen yang penting dalam membangun road map career yang akan dibuatnya. Tujuan umum dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah membantu Siswa SMK YPUI Parung dalam mebangun road map career. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan, praktik dan sharing session. Kegiatan pelatihan dirancang khusus untuk membentuk sikap yang benar, memiliki kemampuan pengetahuan yang baik dan ketrampilan yang baik. Hasil dari kegiatan ini siswa mampu memahami isu terkini terkait jumlah lulusan dan pengangguran serta mampu menangkap peluang. Siswa mampu menentukan tujuan dan/atau cita-cita setelah lulus SMK, siswa mampu mengenali potensi diri yang dimiliki dan mengoptimalkannya. Siswa juga mampu membuat road map career bagi dirinya. Selain itu, siswa juga mampu dalam memilih kampus yang tepat sesuai dengan situasi dan kondisi pribadi siswa.

The aim of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of students worksheet to improve of critical thinking ability of fourth grade student’s of SD N 5 Parakan Kauman based on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and local wisdom. This research adopt the procedure of research and development that oriented in 4D model (Define, Design, Developed, and Disseminate). The research design used was one groups pretest-posttest design with the member of subject were 24 students. The research instrument used observation sheet, interview sheet, validity test, written test (pretest and posttest), and also questionnaire. The result of the research showed that students worksheet included in the effective enough category, which based on the calculation of N-Gain score was 62.7809 or 62.8 %, with a minimum score is 57.14 % and a maximum score 66.67 %. These scores showed the improvement of student thinking in solving problem aspect, with good and very good categories. The result of the teacher respondent is 67, it is in interesting category and the student respondent got 84 in average score, it is in very interesting category. It can be concluded that the implementation of student worksheet in STEM basic and local wisdom can be implemented in teaching learning activities, it also improve the ability of students’ critical thinking.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui persentase keberhasilan penetasan telur penyu lekang (Lepidoehelys olivacea) pada sarang semi alami Banyuwangi sea Turtle Foundation (BSTF) di Pantai Boom Banyuwangi. Data diperoleh dari observasi dan rekap data milik BSTF. Persentase keberhasilan penetasan diperoleh dari total telur penyu lekang selama periode bertelur tahun 2018. Persentase penetasan telur penyu lekang pada sarang semi alami BSTF periode tahun 2018 adalah 75%. Total telur penyu yang diinkubasikan adalah 4495 butir, total telur yang menetas adalah 3392 butir, dan jumlah telur yang gagal menetas adalah 1103 butir.

Buah jambu mete adalah salah satu buah yang banyak dijumpai di Desa Tegalmulyo, Kecamatan Kragan, Kabupaten Rembang. Namun, jambu mete belum banyak dimanfaatkan menjadi produk yang memiliki nilai tambah. Selain nilai tambah dari kacang mete. Misalnya, nugget. Maka pada pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini kami mengambil tema untuk melaksanakan pengabdian masyarakat dengan cara membuat jambu mete menjadi nugget. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah (1) Dapat termanfaatkannya daging buah jambu mete yang melimpah dan sering terbuang percuma, (2) Memberikan pengetahuan ibu-ibu PKK agar dapat mengolah jambu mete menjadi makanan yang memiliki nilai tambah. (3) Dapat membantu atau mempermudah ibu-ibu PKK agar dapat menjadikan pelatihan ini sebagai prospek bisnis baru. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah ibu-ibu PKK dapat memanfaatkan buah jambu mete yang semula dibuang sia-sia dapat dibuat menjadi makanan baru yaitu nugget. Dengan adanya kegiatan seperti ini dapat meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat.

Dalam rangka pembinaan untuk menjadi guru yang profesional, diperlukan Pengembangan Keprofesionalan Berkelanjutan (PKB). Pengembangan keprofesian berkelanjutan merupakan salah satu dari unsur utama yang kegiatannya dapat diberikan angka kredit. Sementara masih sering dialami kendala yang terjadi disaat guru membuat proposal maupun laporan penelitian dalam pembuatan latar belakang, landasan teori, teknik pengumpulan data, analisis data bahkan dalam kaidah dan lain-lain, seperti halnya yang dialami oleh guru-guru anggota Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) IPA Kabupaten Batang. Guru-guru masih mengalami kendala membuat rancangan maupun pelaksanaan PTK karena keterbatasan kemampuan guru maupun pembimbing yang berasal dari Guru Pemandu. Kegiatan di MGMP IPA SMP Kabupaten Batang, sebagai wadah pengembangan kompetensi guru, khususnya dalam pembuatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) masih belum maksimal. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru IPA dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan, melaporkan, serta mempublikasikan hasil PTK pada jurnal ilmiah. Strategi yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu pelatihan dan pendampingan penyusunan PTK bagi guru-guru anggota MGMP IPA Kabupaten Batang. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan dilakukan melalui tahap analisis masalah, paparan materi, diskusi dan pada akhir sesi dilakukan pendampingan dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan dan mengevaluasi kegiatan PTK. Pada akhir kegiatan pengabdian guru sasaran telah menghasilkan proposal PTK dan telah memiliki wawasan pengetahuan cara mempublikasikan pada jurnal ilmiah yang akan dituju.

Information technology is rapidly developed in this century that impact to various aspects of the organization really need information technology to support the performance and everyday business processes. In health services, information technology is required to process and storage the patient medical records, so that the patient's medical record is well preserved, and competitive advantage can be obtained between patient and polyclinic. The application of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) approach can be developed by implementing information system of medical record history to get new patient and retain existing patient, improving relationship with patient and maintaining patient loyalty as well as supporting the company/organization to provide excellent service to customers in real time through the advantage of information technology. The aims of this research are to understand patient medical record by CRM approach and Unified Modeling Language (UML) for system design, system validation using Forum Group Discussion (FGD), and using software testing Model ISO 9126. The result of this research are Medical Record History Information System and the result of system validation with FGD is 100% accepted, the result of system test using Model ISO 9126 is good with success rate 82,86%, so it can give contribution to polyclinic.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi bakteri Escherichia coli dalam telur yang gagal menetas dari penyu Lekang (Lepidoehelys olivacea) di sarang semi-alami, pantai Boom, Banyuwangi. Bakteri diisolasi dari 12 kuning telur penyu yang gagal menetas dan dari induk penyu yang berbeda. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik sampel random berstrata. Kontaminasi E. coli dideteksi dengan menggunakan uji pendugaan, uji konfirmasi, dan uji biokimia IMVIC, berdasarkan Standar Nasional Indonesia 01-2332.1-2015 tentang cara uji mikrobiologi-bagian 1: Penentuan coliform dan E. coli pada produk perikanan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 3 sampel atau 25% dari total sampel terkontaminasi E. coli, yaitu sampel B1, B3, dan C3. Berdasarkan Most Probability Number (MPN) Jumlah E. coli pada masing masing sampel adalah sampel B1 sejumlah 3 MPN/g, B3 sejumlah 7,2 MPN/g dan C3 sejumlah 9,2 MPN/g. E. coli bukan bakteri utama yang menyebabkan kegagalan penetasan telur penyu di sarang semi-alami, pantai Boom, Banyuwangi. Namun pada pengujian sampel ditemukan bakteri golongan koliform fekal pada sebagian besar sampel yaitu 8 sampel atau 66,67%, koliform non fekal sebanyak 1 sampel atau 8,33% dan non koliform sebanyak 3 sampel atau 25% dari total 12 sampel. Sumber kontaminasi E. coli diduga berasal dari induk penyu, lingkungan sarang semi-alami, dan pekerja Banyuwangi Sea Turtle Foundation.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh kondisi lingkungan dalam aspek pH, suhu dan kelembaban antara sarang alami dengan sarang semi alami terhadap presentase daya tetas dan masa inkubasi telur Penyu Lekang (Lepidochelys olivacea) di kawasan Pantai Boom Banyuwangi. Sampel dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling berupa 20 telur Penyu Lekang yang berasal dari satu induk yang sama. Telur Penyu Lekang yang di inkubasi pada sarang alami dan sarang semi alami masing-masing berjumlah 10 butir. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif, dengan melakukan observasi terhadap kondisi lingkungan antara sarang alami dengan semi alami. Uji t independent digunakan untuk membandingkan presentase daya tetas. Analisis dilakukan dengan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan presentase daya tetas pada sarang alami berbeda sangat nyata dengan sarang semi alami, sedangkan masa inkubasi tidak dapat diambil data. Presentase daya tetas pada sarang alami lebih baik dibandingkan dengan sarang semi alami. Sarang semi alami memiliki pH yang lebih asam dibandingkan pH pada sarang alami. Simpulan penelitian ini terdapat perbedaan kondisi lingkungan pada aspek pH, suhu, dan kelembaban antara sarang alami dan sarang semi alami yang mempengaruhi masa inkubasi dan daya tetas telur Penyu Lekang.

Banyuwangi sebagai Kabupaten terluas di Jawa Timur memiliki kawasan konservasi dan tempat penangkaran penyu, salah satunya adalah penyu Lekang (Lepidochelys olivacea) yang sering ditemukan bertelur di kawasan pantai Boom Banyuwangi. Infeksi jamur merupakan salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan telur penyu gagal menetas, oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk isolasi dan identifikasi jenis jamur yang terdapat pada cangkang telur penyu Lekang yang gagal menetas. Sampel cangkang telur penyu Lekang dengan kriteria gagal menetas diambil secara acak dari sarang. Isolasi dilakukan di kawasan penangkaran penyu di pantai Boom Banyuwangi dan identifikasi dilakukan di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi, Prodi Kedokteran Hewan, Universitas Airlangga, PSDKU Banyuwangi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dua jenis jamur yang teridentifikasi, yaitu Fusarium spp. dan Aspergillus spp. dari cangkang telur penyu Lekang yang gagal menetas.

COSTA-KALLICK’S HABITS OF MIND DALAM KEGIATAN PRAKTIKUM PADA MAHASISWA CALON GURU BIOLOGI Abstract The purpose of education is not only to improve thinking ability but also to form habits of mind. Therefore it is important to form ideal habits of mind. One of lessons that is often accepted by prospectivebiology teacher is practicum. The problem is whether the practicum is able to form students’shabits of mind? In this study an analysis is conducted of whether the practicum which is obtained by prospective biology teachers can form students’shabits of mind. The method is survey method with 100 students who have been following the practicums for 5 semesters. Data obtained through questionnaire ofCosta and Kallick’shabits of mind which contains 16 categories. The result is 85% of students have habits of mind with strong criteria, 13% very strong criteria, and 2% have enough criteria. And also, 75% of students have strong criteria, 12.5% ​​have enough criteria, and 12.5% ​​have very strong criteria. Very strong criteria is belong to habits of mind categorystriving for accuracy and interdependently thinking. Abstrak Tujuan pendidikan bukan hanya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tetapi juga untuk membentuk kebiasaan atau karakter berpikir cerdas (habits of mind). Oleh karena itu perlu upaya untuk melatih agar terbentuk habits of mind yang ideal. Salah satu pembelajaran yang sering diterima oleh mahasiswa calon guru biologi adalah pembelajaran praktikum. Permasalahannya adalah apakah praktikum yang diterima oleh mahasiswa mampu membentuk habits of mind mahasiswa? Pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisis mengenai apakah praktikum yang diperloleh oleh mahasiswa calon guru biologi dapat membentuk habits of mind mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey dengan partisipan sebanyak 100 mahasiswa yang telah mengikuti praktikum setiap selama 5 semester. Data diperoleh melalui instrumen berupa angket habits of mind dari Costa dan Kallick yang memuat 16 kategori. Dari 16 kategori sebanyak 85% mahasiswa memiliki habits of mind dengan kriteria kuat, 13% kriteria sangat kuat, sisanya 2% memiliki kriteria cukup. Dari 16 kategorihabits of mind, 75% memiliki kriteria Kuat, 12,5% memiliki kriteria cukup, dan 12,5% memiliki kriteria sangat kuat. The purpose of this study was to test the effect of a variable quality of service with tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy on the high and low customer satisfaction at Syariah Mandiri Bank, Salatiga. The study used a sample of 150 students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Islam IAIN Salatiga. Multiple regression analysis was used to test hypotheses of the study after the classic assumption test and test validity and reliability. The results showed that the variable of reliability, responsiveness, and empathy effect on the high and low customer satisfaction Syariah Mandiri Bank with the branch in Salatiga. Furthermore, the quality of service with these five indicators affect the high and low customer satisfaction Syariah Mandiri Bank, Salatiga together.

Kecamatan Gunungpati Semarang memiliki potensi untuk menjadi sentra pertanian kebun buah dan sayur organik salah satunya melalui kegiatan Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT). Namun selama ini, kegiatan yang ada di KWT dan hasil pertanian belum optimal. Hal ini dikarenakan belum efektifnya penataan tanaman di kebun pekarangan rumah, masih ada lahan kebun yang kosong belum dimanfaatkan, belum ada pembukuan kegiatan dan manajemen penjualan hasil pertanian, masih rendah difersifikasi hasil pertanian menjadi produk bernilai jual tinggi, dan minimnya pengetahuan dan sarana pembuatan pupuk kompos dari limbah organik di lingkungan sekitar sebagai upaya meminimalisir pengeluaran untuk kebutuhan pupuk. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, iptek bagi masyarakat (IbM) melalui program pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan cara pemberian pengetahuan dan keterampilan di bidang optimalisasi lahan, pembukuan dan manajemen hasil pertanian, difersifikasi jahe menjadi minuman jahe instan, dan pembuatan pupuk kompos. Luaran yang dihasilkan adalah peningkatan keterampilan anggota KWT dalam optimalisasi lahan untuk pertanian organik, terampil dalam mengolah jahe menjadi minuman jahe instan, membuat pupuk organik, serta kompeten dalam pembukuan dan manajemen penjualan hasil pertanian.

This study was aimed to evaluate the suitability of Tanjung Benoa waters for dive tourism. The suitability analysis was carried out using Suitability Tourism Index (STI) method. Water visibility, coral reef coverage, lifeform, coral fish, water depth, and water current were used to analyze the suitability rate. The result showed that Tanjung Benoa waters were categorized as appropriate conditional (STI = 40.74 to 42.59). The less appropriate condition at the location might be caused by the high anthropogenic activities in the land.

The objective of the article review was to investigate research trends related to the TPACK topic, which is particularly useful for developing teacher learning abilities in line with the period of the industrial revolution 4.0, which uses a lot of technology integration in learning. This study is a TPACK systematic literature review out of 184 journal articles indexed by Scopus, published between 2010 and 2020. Findings show the countries that are the most TPACK research areas are Turkey and the United States. TPACK's research-related articles are published mostly in technology-based education-oriented journals. There are still a few journals based on science education research that publish articles on TPACK. Topics about the components of knowledge in TPACK are the most researched, namely Knowledge, Technology, Content, and Pedagogical. The least studied is development and integration, which means that these two topics have not been of much interest to researchers in the last ten years. From several analyses in this literature review, we suggest various references and reference centers of TPACK in science education and formulate what topics need to be researched for further research.

Metode penelitian Research and Development. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas VIII SMP 2 Demak tahun 2012/2013. Desain penelitian adalah One group pretest-posttest study. Efikasi diri diukur melalui pretest dan posttest, sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan pembelajaran dengan UKM. Pengembangan UKM dengan menguji vaiditas, kepraktisan dan keefektifan. Karakteristik UKM yang dapat meningkatkan efikasi diri adalah: (1) memiliki tingkat kesukaran soal, (2) memiliki bantuan materi, (3) menyesuaikan gaya pembelajar modern, (4) mendorong terjadinya pengalaman vikarius. Keefektifan dilihat pada peningkatan efikasi diri siswa. Rerata pencapaian efikasi diri sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan adalah 76,6% dan 82,9%. Pencapaian efikasi diri siswa ini termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. The example of technolgy in education application is Computer Based Testing (CBT). Self-efficacy is the ability of someone to complete the task. Uji Kompetensi Mandiri (UKM) aims to test student competency independently. The research objectives are to produce UKM, determine the practicality and effectivity of UKM. The Research methode is Research and Development method. Subjects were the students of grade VIII of SMP 2 Demak in academic year of 2012/2013. The Research design is one group pretest-posttest study. Students' self-efficacy was measured by pretest and posttest that measured before and after a treatment by using UKM in a learning program. The development of UKM is done by validity, practicality and effectiveness tests. UKM’s characteristics that can enhance students' self-efficacy are: (1) have difficulty level, (2) have learning material assistance, (3) adapting to modern learner style, (4) easy to integrated in the learning experience to stimulate discussion and vicarious experiences.. The averages of students’ self-efficacy before and after the treatment are 76.6% and 82.9%. These achievements are categorized into high category.

The purpose of the study was to develop an instrument for the problem solving ability of students in Hybrid learning by Ethno-STEM via Four-D Model. In the study, the first three stages of the Four-D Model namely; defining, designing, and developing were applied. As the participants, 143 students of elementary education in the 4th semester took part in the study. The participants were selected randomly from 30 universities in Central Java, Indonesia. The data were collected via the assessment instrument of problem solving using Ethno-STEM test ability adapted from Plomp model (2010). The instrument was composed of 9 essay type questions. The analysis of validity was conducted by 10 instructors and teachers, and the instrument was assessed valid and reliable. Empirical validity showed 0.6 for Aiken index, classified into medium validity. Meanwhile, Quest gained ± 2.0 for t INFIT, classified into good instrument.

The learning approach is an important component of education. ADI learning model allows learners to argue actively based on the surrounding observable phenomena in the laboratory. This research aims to review national diversities that represent or contribute to studies by applying the ADI learning model and the research type varieties and characteristics and stages of Argument-Driven Inquiry learning model applied by other researchers; research subjects, the applied content materials for investigation, and the impact of Argument-Driven Inquiry learning model. This research is a systematic literature review (SLR) with published article databases from Scopus, ERIC, and Google Scholar. The applied keywords were "Argument-Driven Inquiry" and "Science Education." The findings showed twenty-three articles were in line with the categories. Then, the analysis and classification could be done for each article. The ADI learning model implementation had been frequently found to improve learners' scientific argumentative skills rather than analytical skills or critical thinking skills. The applied content materials were mostly chemical materials, biology, and rarely found in physics. Most applied research types from the articles were quasi-experimental research. The implication of this research is to provide insight for further reviewing the argument-driven inquiry model (ADI) to improve science learning quality.

The 21st century education engages students to have higher order thinking and scientific literacy skills. However, these abilities in Indonesia are still relatively low, especially students' scientific literacy skills. One solution to the problem of low scientific literacy skills in Indonesia is the application of STEM education. However, as technology advances pursued in STEM education, religious and cultural sciences increasingly separate themselves from science. Cultural science is rarely implemented in learning so that many students do not know their own culture. The contra between science and religion also makes students' perception of religion and science are two independent knowledge and cannot be united. Through literature studies that have been carried out from various journal article search sites, this article discusses how important religious and cultural sciences are to be implemented into STEM education. The relationship between religion and science, culture and science, culture and religion and the urgency of religion and culture in STEM education are also discussed in this article. The results of this study propose solutions so that science education can be implemented with RE-STEM learning to overcome the gap between religion, culture and science. So, that students will have a more balanced knowledge in religion, ethnoscience and science from RE-STEM integration.

Abstract: Instructional Model of Science Based on Playing Games at Kindergartens. The study investi­gated the effectiveness of a science instructional model for kindergarten based on learning by playing games. It was aimed at increasing cognitive, affective and psycho-motor learning outcomes. Action research was conducted in two cycles, each of which involved planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The result of the study showed that science instructional model using games can increase the students achievements in cognitive, affective and psycho-motoric aspects. Abstrak: Model Pembelajaran Sains di Taman Kanak-kanak dengan Bermain Sambil Belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap keberhasilan model pembelajaran sains di Taman Kanak-kanak ber­dasarkan "bermain sambil belajar" dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus; masing-masing siklus mencakup tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran sains di Taman Kanak-kanak yang menggunakan prinsip ber­main sambil belajar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar sains yang mencakup aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir siswa SMA di kota Semarang yang hasilnya dijadikan dasaruntuk pengembangan model pembelajaran fisika yang mampu menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir Hipotetikal Deduktif padasiswa SMA di Kota Semarang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R & D),yang terdiri dari dua tahap. Penelitian tahap I bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir siswa SMA di kota Semarang.Penelitian tahap II bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran fisika yang mampu menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikirHipotetikal Deduktif di Kota Semarang dengan berdasar pada hasil penelitian tahap I dan mencari tahu keefektifan model tersebut.Hasil penelitian tahap I menunjukkan mayoritas (78,28%) siswa SMA di kota Semarang berada pada tingkat kemampuan berpikirEmpirikal Induktif, dan sisanya berada pada tingkat Transisi. Hasil penelitian tahap II adalah model pembelajaran denganpendekatan inkuiri latihan penelitian, yang memberikan kesempatan lebih luas kepada siswa untuk berhipotesis, mengidentifikasidan merencanakan percobaan, dan menarik kesimpulan dari hasil percobaan, mampu menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikirHipotetikal Deduktif pada siswa SMA di kota Semarang. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung sebesar -11.95 dan ttabel= 2.64 yangmenunjukkan thitung tidak berada pada daerah penerimaan Ho. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan model pembelajaran inisecara signifikan mampu menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir Deduktif pada siswa SMA di kota Semarang. This study aims to describe thinking ability of SHS student in Semarang. The result of the study will be used as a base of physicslearning model development which can grow hypothetical-deductive thinking ability of the student. The research metode used wasResearch and Development (R & D), consisting of two stages. The result of first stage shows that 78.28% of SHS student inSemarang has the level of empirical-inductive thinking ability, while the remaining has ability of transition level. The second stage ofthe study resulted a model of physics learning with inquiry approach of doing research practice, giving more chance to student togive hyphotesis, identify and plan a research and derive a conclusion, and being able to grow hypothetical-deductive thinking to thestudent. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa SMP dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses padapokok bahasan suhu dan pemuaian. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan metode pre-post eksperimen tanpa kendali. Pre dan pos tesdilakukan untuk melihat peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa. Pengamatan keterampilan dan sikap ilmiah dilakukan pada awaldan akhir kegiatan laboratorium berbasis inkuiri. Data penelitian diambil sebelum percobaan, selama percobaan, dan setelahpercobaan. Hasil belajar pretes pemahaman konsep diperoleh rata-rata 51%, postes 61,73%, dan gain sebesar 0,219 (low-gain).Hasil belajar keterampilan proses, pengamatan awal diperoleh rata-rata 54%, pengamatan akhir 76%, dan gain sebesar 0,478(medium-gain). Hasil pengamatan sikap ilmiah awal siswa rata-rata 55%, pengamatan akhir 67%, dan gain sebesar 0,267 (lowgain).Jadi hasil belajar siswa pada penelitian ini mengalami peningkatan. The research aimed to observe the improvement of junior high Scholl students in learning on temperature and expansion byprocess skill approach. Uncontrolled pre-post experiment method was used in this study. Pre and post test was used to obtain thestudent's understanding. The observation of skills and scientific attitudes was done on the beginning and at the end of each inquirybased laboratory activity. The data extracted from beginning, during and after lab's activity. The achievements in conceptunderstanding yield the value of 51 % for pre test and 61.73% for post test thus gain the gain is 0.219 (low gain). Theachievements in process skills end up with the value of 54 % for initials and 76% for the final's observations give the gain of 0.478(medium-gain). The observations in scientific attitude give the average value 55% at the beginning and 67% at the end, so the gainis 0,267. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan kebiasaan bekerja ilmiah pada siswa SMPN 24 Kota Semarang melalui kegiatanlaboratorium berbasis inkuiri. Desain penelitian ini dibagi menjadi dua bagian yaitu pra penelitian dan pelaksanaan penelitian.Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Instrumen penelitian berupa Lembar Kerja (LK) dan lembar observasi.Tumbuhnya kebiasaan bekerja ilmiah diukur berda-sarkan persentase ketercapaian tiap indikator kerja ilmiah. Persentaseketercapaian kerja ilmiah hasil analisis siklus I yaitu: LKI mencapai 73%, LK II 65%, Laporan 55% dan hasil observasi 70%.Setelah melalui siklus II, LK I mencapai 92%, LK II 76%, laporan 84% dan hasil observasi 71%. Hasil analisis kerja ilmiah siswasecara individual belum menunjukkan adanya ketercapaian kerja ilmiah siswa yang relatif tetap dengan ketercapaian 75%.Pengetahuan awal siswa tentang kerja ilmiah yang diukur dengan pre-test secara keseluruhan mencapai 58% setelah menempuhsiklus I dan siklus II siswa diberikan post-test dan hasilnya naik 12% menjadi 70%, hasil tersebut dianalisis menggunakan gaindengan kriteria medium-gain (0.3%). Hasil angket refleksi menunjukkan 46% siswa merespon pelaksanaan percobaan sangatmenyenangkan dan 51% menyenangkan. The aim of this study is to foster a scientific working habit on students of SMPN 24 Semarang, through an inquiry based laboratoryactivity. The research design consisted of the stages: pre-research and conducting research. The conducting research was done intwo cycles. The research instruments are working and observation sheets. The growth of scientific working habit is measuredbased on compliances percentage of scientific working habit indicators. The analysed results after the first cycle: WS1 yielded 73%,WS2 65%, report 55%, and observation 70%. After the second cycle: WS1 ends up with 92%, WS2 76%, report 84%, andobservation 71%.The analysed result of individual scientific working habit in general have not show a relatively constantimprovement yet with a compliance > 75%. Student understands on scientific working habit measured in pre test, the overall valueis 58%, after treatment increase 12 points on the post test, and ends up with 70%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memotret pembelajaran sains di SMP dan SMA. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui teknik pengamatan dan angket. Pengamatan dilakukan untuk mengungkap proses pembelajaran yang diselenggarakan oleh guru. Angket digunakan untuk menggali persepsi guru fisika dan siswa terhadap faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pembelajaran sains. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada umumnya pembelajaran sains cenderung monoton dengan aktivitas sains termasuk rendah. Guru cenderung berceramah atau menjelaskan, siswa mendengarkan dan mencatat, dan kegiatan laboratorium jarang dilakukan. Selain itu, pada umumnya persepsi guru dan siswa cenderung mengarah bahwa keberhasilan pembelajaran sains bergantung pada kurikulum, sumber daya, lingkungan belajar, keefektifan mengajar, dan strategi evaluasi. One of the successes of learning is the formation of thinking skills and understanding. Therefore in this study the formative assessment is implemented through Understanding by Design (UbD). The research objective is to find out the formation of understanding and to analyze the correlation between formative assessments and UbD. The study used quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design. Formative assessment strategies used were presentations, discussions, practicum learning, mind-mapping, and analyzing articles. The results of the study found that there was a significant increase in understanding after the implementation of formative assessment through UbD and a positive correlation between formative assessment and understanding. Formative assessment integrated into UbD is the originality of this research.
