Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is the main cause of end-stage renal disease worldwide. It is reported that the endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EndMT) in glomerular endothelial cells plays an important role in DN. As a specific form of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition, EndMT may involve common regulators of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition. Fascin has been shown to mediate epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition. In addition, SirT7 has been confir med to contribute to inflammation in hyperglycemic endothelial cells via the modulation of gene transcription. In this study, we speculate that SirT7 modulates fascin transcription and is thus involved in EndMT in hyperglycemic glomerular endothelial cells. Our data indicate that α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) and fascin levels are increased, while CD31 levels are decreased in the kidneys of DN rats. Consistently, our cellular experiments reveal that high glucose treatment elevates fascin levels and induces EndMT in human glomerular endothelial cells (HGECs). Moreover, silencing of fascin inhibits EndMT in hyperglycaemic HGECs. In addition, SirT7 is found to be decreased in hyperglycemic cells and in the kidneys of DN mice. Moreover, the inhibition of SirT7 increases fascin level and mediates EndMT. An increase in SirtT7 expression decreases fascin expression, inhibits EndMT, and improves renal function in hyperglycemic cells and DN mice. SirT7 is found to bind to the promoter region of fascin. In summary, the present study indicates that SirT7 transcribes fascin to contribute to hyperglycemia-induced EndMT in DN patients.

Exploring the influencing factors of public data value of construction projects is conducive to the public data services of government departments. Aiming at the construction pollution supervision process under the platform governance model, the influencing factors of the public data value of construction projects were analyzed. The interpretation structure model of the influencing factors was constructed to reveal the effects of data quality, platform scalability, data production cost, and policy support. The research results show that appropriate fiscal subsidies and policy inclination play a fundamental role; the quality of uploaded data is noteworthy for subsequent data processing and data opening; data production cost and platform scalability directly affect data value, the development of the platform will attract more participants, and reasonable cost control and improving data production efficiency are indispensable. Exploring superior electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is an urgent need for hydrogen production based on water splitting. The redistribution of electrons and the increase of active sites through multi-interface designing of electrocatalyst are powerful strategies to improve the catalytic efficiency. Herein, a three-phase interface structure of N,P co-doped carbon tube embedded with MoO2/Mo2C (MoO2/Mo2C-CT) was fabricated via a cooperative polymerizing-embedding and pyrolysis strategy. Work function and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) verified that the interfacial charge was quantificationally modulated, achieving an intrinsically enhanced charge transfer by an induced built-in electric field. Theoretical study of density functional theory (DFT) illustrated that triple-interface structure showed a lower energy for H* + H2O* than that of single-interface counterparts. The triple-interface MoO2/Mo2C-CT delivered a lower overpotential of 129 mV at 10 mA·cm−2 than that of either single-interface MoO2-CT or Mo2C-CT catalyst. Herein, defective heterogeneity in a metal–organic framework (MOF) is pioneered as a flexible tactic in generating structural heterojunctions for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Competing pillared 4,4′-bipyridine ligand induced linker defects and thereby guided different oxidization effects in ZIF-67 anchored on graphene during pyrolysis. As a result, engineered Co@CoO heterojunctions with different structural features were obtained. Experimental and DFT results elucidated that the prominent spontaneous electron transfer from Co to CoO induced an up-shifted d-band center of core–shell Co@CoO catalyst towards a Volmer–Heyrovsky pathway for HER. Coupling glucose oxidation reaction with HER led to excellent performance in H2 production and value-added chemicals compared with an overall water-splitting electrolyzer. This work may regulate Mott–Schottky heterojunctions through defective MOF precursors, which could serve as electrocatalysts for H2 production with lowering voltage input and bolstering biomass conversion. Non‐precious metal nanocomposite has attracted extensive attention as an effective catalyst for both oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Herein, hierarchically porous N‐doped carbon nanofibers supported Fe3C/Fe nanoparticles (denoted as Fe/N‐HCNFs) have been successfully fabricated. The synthesis involved the successive steps of electrospun polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF‐8) nanofiber, surface functionalization of tannic acid (TA), coordination with ferric salt and carbonization. The obtained Fe/N‐HCNFs exhibited enhanced electrocatalytic performance for both ORR and OER. Furthermore, Fe/N‐HCNFs delivered a higher power density and an excellent long‐term stability when applied in a constructed Zn‐air battery, which illustrated its outstanding prospects for energy storage and conversion. The N‐doped carbon nanofibers supported Fe3C/Fe nanoparticles (denoted as Fe/N‐HCNFs) have been successfully fabricated through the successive steps of electrospinning, tannic acid coating, metal deposition and carbonization. In CO 2 electroreduction, mutative intermediates and the challenging CC coupling necessitate the spatial interplay between active sites and through dynamically optimizing configurations. Herein, we anchor ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA)-bonded Cu x+ /Bi 3+ pair within UiO-66 for a spontaneous spatial-optimizing CO 2 -to-C 2 H 4 electroreduction. Ab initio molecular dynamic (AIMD) simulation visualizes that such metal pair adaptively interacts with intermediates. Density functional theory (DFT) elicits the componential synergy, in which an upshift d-band of Cu activates CO 2 being protonated into *COOH while Bi site stabilizes oxygenated dimers for deep hydrogenation.
