This paper provides the relationship between Economic Policy Uncertainty (EPU) and international tourism activities in the BRIC countries (i.e. Brazil, Russia, India and China). The researchers used continuous wavelets, wavelet coherence and wavelet phase-difference based on Granger causality analysis to investigate the relationship between EPU and tourism activities using the annual data. The findings show that there is a unidirectional causal influence of EPU on international tourism arrivals (ITA) in the short run and mid run for Brazil. In addition, there is a bi-directional causal influence of EPU on ITA in China and Russia in the long run. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study aims to examine the relationships among the dimensions of service innovation (product innovation, process innovation, marketing innovation and organizational innovation), the dimensions of experiential relationship quality (experiential value, experiential satisfaction, experiential trust and experiential commitment) and the dimensions of shopping outcomes ((positive word-of-mouth (WOM) and patronage intentions)). Data were obtained from 485 respondents at one smart unmanned store in Wuhan of China, and were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The findings show that product innovation, process innovation, marketing innovation, organizational innovation and experiential value have a direct positive influence on experiential satisfaction. Also, experiential value, experiential satisfaction and experiential trust have a direct positive influence on experiential commitment, which in turn lead to positive WOM, while experiential trust has a positive influence on patronage intentions. This paper aims to examine the relationship between tourism activities and housing prices (HP) in China's eight central provinces using wavelet transform context structures. This innovative technique allows the decomposition of a time series at different time frequencies. In this work, the researchers used continuous wavelets, wavelet coherence and wavelet phase-difference based on Granger causality analysis to investigate the relationship between tourism activities and HP. The study results indicate that the relationship is generally positive but changes over time exhibiting low to high-frequency cycles. To account for potential asymmetries in the relationship, this study applies new bootstrap symmetric and asymmetric multivariate panel Granger causality test to examine the causal relationship between international tourism receipts (ITRs) and economic growth in China for the period from 1995 to 2019. The result supports evidence for the symmetric causality in Henan, showing significant one-way Granger causality from ITRs to real gross domestic product (RGDP). They also indicate that Hunan has significant one-way Granger causality from RGDP to ITRs. These results denote that the hidden tourism-led growth hypothesis is valid in Heilongjiang, Henan, Hubei and Jiangxi. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The main purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between economic growth and tourism development in eastern China. The data used in this study are from 1995 to 2019. This study adopts the quantile-on-quantile research method. The result of this study shows that the economic growth in eastern China is positively correlated with tourism development. However, among the eastern regions, the correlation between economic growth and tourism development in Hebei and Zhejiang was the weakest. Such findings may be a result of the limited importance of tourism in these two provinces. In addition, for Fujian, Hainan, Jiangsu and Liaoning, the research data suggest that tourism and economic growth display the most significant correlation during economic booms only. This paper aims to explore the relationships between the dimensions of safety attachment, the dimensions of experiential co-creation and future experiential intentions. A convenience sample of 505 tourists who had departed from Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport via direct flights to a destination outside the USA during the 2019-nCoV (COVID-19) outbreak was surveyed. The results will assist tourism managers in developing and implementing market-orientated service strategies to increase safety identity, safety dependence, safety affect, safety social bonding, experiential trust, experiential commitment and experiential connection in order to enable tourists to have future intentions to experience the destination during the COVID-19 outbreak. This work aims to examine the relationship between global economic policy uncertainty (GEPU) and tourism activities in the fragile five (F5) countries, namely, Brazil, India, Indonesia, South Africa and Turkey using three-dimensional wavelet transforms context structures and the annual data during the period of 1997–2018. This innovative technique allows the decomposition of time-series at different time frequencies. In this work, the researchers used three-dimensional continuous wavelets based on Granger causality analysis to investigate the relationship between GEPU and tourism. The finding shows that the relationship generally changes over time, displaying low to high frequency cycles. Moreover, the timing and frequency change when GEPU co-moves with tourism.
