The air preheater was installed on the furnace to decrease the exhaust gas temperature and heat the air to about 290°C. A radiant cylinder was added to the radiation section. Swirl flames were formed by adjusting the shape and the installation angles of the burner flame tubes. The radiation heat transfer was strengthened and the heat absorption was enhanced in the radiation section, while the temperature at the outlet of the furnace was decreased. Thus energy was saved by 16.7%.

During lignite pyrolysis process, there will produce large amounts of gas which is low calorific value, combustion difficult. This paper creatively put forward a program: high temperature and oxygen-containing flue gas of coal-fired mix combustion with low calorific value gas. Compared to mixing high calorific value fuel, the distinguishing feature of this program is ultra-low cost, and technically feasible. In this scheme, the stability of high-temperature and oxygen-containing flue gas is key technology. Through coal-fired experiments, we obtained generation rule of high-temperature and oxygen-containing flue gas, and summed up a diminishing marginal effect.

This paper analyzes the current energy structure and coal we use, based on clean coal technology in China, one of the current technology development status and prospects of coal were analyzed, and highlights China's Hunan province a coal for flue-cured tobacco production - biomass briquette mix, production test proved its superior performance, the desulfurization rate, burn rate of more than 90%, respectively, and 98%, suitable for promotion.

The flow in the burner is impacted by many factors, including the big bulk of the modern hot-blast stove, complex pipeline and too many valves. The length-width ratio of internal-combustion hot blast stoves is so high that non-uniform velocity distribution is easily brought forth along its length. Considering a real burner, a 1:5 scale model is established in this paper. The impact of the deflector on the velocity distribution of the nozzle exit is analyzed in the experiment, providing a basis for practical engineering design.

China has rich lignite resource, which has high moisture, low calorific value, short ignition period, etc. These characters limit lignite large-scale processing, utilization and transport also become difficult.Therefore, under our country's coal-dominated energy structure, lignite quality improvement technology can enhance the development and application for optimizing the energy structure. This paper will also introduce the development status of lignite quality improvement technology at home and abroad, and then give some insights for the future using of lignite.

Salinity power is a promising renewable energy with a large amount, which can be tapped by pressure retarded osmosis(PRO), however, efficient membranes are in lack. It was reported subtrates of asymmetrical reverse osmosis(RO) membranes had severe concentration polarizations in PRO process, degrading performance greatly and limiting PRO application. Based on solute transportation equations, the paper presented a common mass transfer resistance model of osmosis process, and disclosed essential differences between PRO and RO by the comparison of resistances. In PRO water permeates through membranes against solute diffusion, which facilitates solute to accumulate in porous subtrate, as a result, subtrate mass transfer resistance is big, water flux and power density is small, especially in the case of trivial subtrate mass transfer coefficient. Commercial RO membrane CA-3000 was studied for PRO application, whose subtrate resistance was found much bigger in PRO, taking the majority of total resistance. Subtrate was optimized for PRO process and membrane performance was projected. When subtrate mass transfer coefficient was improved to 4×10-6 m/s, power density of 4.75 W/m2 was obtained with average sea water, which approached the threshold of commercial salinity power exploitation.
