In this study, we prepared the SnO2/ZnFe2O4 (SZ) composite magnetic photocatalyst via a two-step hydrothermal method. Structural and performance analyses revealed that SZ-5 with a ZnFe2O4 mass ratio of 5% (SZ-5) exhibited optimal photocatalytic activity, achieving a 72.6% degradation rate of Rhodamine B (RhB) solution within 120 min. SZ-5 consisted of irregular nano blocks of SnO2 combined with spherical nanoparticles of ZnFe2O4, with a saturated magnetization intensity of 1.27 emu/g. Moreover, the specific surface area of SnO2 loaded with ZnFe2O4 increased, resulting in a decreased forbidden bandwidth and expanded light absorption range. The construction of a Z-type heterojunction structure between SnO2 and ZnFe2O4 facilitated the migration of photogenerated charges, reduced the recombination rate of electron-hole pairs, and enhanced electrical conductivity. Objective Whether metformin and its adenosine 5'monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK) activation protect from psoriasis risk is unconcluded. We investigated the effect of AMPK, a pharmacological target of metformin, on the risk of psoriasis and its comorbidities and mortality among participants in the UK Biobank (UKB). Methods To avoid immortal time biases in pharmacoepidemiologic studies, Mendelian randomization was used to infer the AMPK pathway-dependent effects. The cut-off age for distinguishing early-onset/late-onset psoriasis (EOP/LOP) was set at 60 years, based on the incident psoriasis peak in UKB. A genetic instrument comprising 44 single-nucleotide polymorphisms associated with glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c), serving as a proxy for AMPK genetic risk score (negatively associated with AMPK activation), was employed as previously reported in the literature. Log-binomial models were used to estimate the effect size of AMPK regarding relative risk (RR) and 95% CI. Results A total of 407 159 participants were analysed, including 9126 EOP and 3324 LOP. The AMPK genetic risk score was associated with a 12.4% increase in the risk of LOP in men (RR = 1.124, 95% CI: 1.022–1.236). This association was not significant for EOP or women. AMPK genetic risk score exhibited an elevated risk of ischemic heart disease (RR = 1.217, 95% CI 1.062–1.395) in male psoriasis patients. In this paper, we deal with a class of second-order evolutionary history-dependent variational–hemivariational inequalities with constraint. The unique solvability of the considered second-order evolutionary inequality problem is established via a surjectivity result combined with a fixed point theorem. Moreover, we construct a regularized problem for such second-order evolutionary history-dependent variational–hemivariational inequality and show the convergence of the regularized solutions toward the solution of the original problem under some mild assumptions. Background: The endosperm serves as the primary source of nutrients for maize (Zea mays L.) kernel embryo development and germination. Positioned at the base of the endosperm, the transfer cells (TCs) of the basal endosperm transfer layer (BETL) generate cell wall ingrowths, which enhance the connectivity between the maternal plant and the developing kernels. These TCs play a crucial role in nutrient transport and defense against pathogens. The molecular mechanism underlying BETL development in maize remains unraveled. Results: This study demonstrated that the MYB-related transcription factor ZmMYBR29, exhibited specific expression in the basal cellularized endosperm, as evidenced by in situ hybridization analysis. Utilizing the CRISPR/Cas9 system, we successfully generated a loss-of-function homozygous zmmybr29 mutant, which presented with smaller kernel size. Observation of histological sections revealed abnormal development and disrupted morphology of the cell wall ingrowths in the BETL. The average grain filling rate decreased significantly by 26.7% in zmmybr29 mutant in comparison to the wild type, which impacted the dry matter accumulation within the kernels and ultimately led to a decrease in grain weight. Analysis of RNA-seq data revealed downregulated expression of genes associated with starch synthesis and carbohydrate metabolism in the mutant. Furthermore, transcriptomic profiling identified 23 genes that expressed specifically in BETL, and the majority of these genes exhibited altered expression patterns in zmmybr29 mutant. Conclusions: In summary, ZmMYBR29 encodes a MYB-related transcription factor that is expressed specifically in BETL, resulting in the downregulation of genes associated with kernel development. Furthermore, ZmMYBR29 influences kernels weight by affecting the grain filling rate, providing a new perspective for the complementation of the molecular regulatory network in maize endosperm development. A novel Bi 12 O 15 Cl 6 /NiFe 2 O 4 (CN) photocatalyst with both recyclability and efficient photocatalytic performance was synthesized by the hydrothermal method and achieved practice value enhancement. The optimal composite was identified as Bi 12 O 15 Cl 6 combined with 5 wt% NiFe 2 O 4 (CN-5), exhibiting the capability to decompose 98.2% of RhB within 90 min. Remarkably, the photocatalytic activity remained above 90% even after 4 recycling cycles, and the magnetization saturation reached 2.6 emu/g, showcasing exceptional magnetic properties and photocatalytic stability. Meanwhile, characterization analysis proved successful compounding of NiFe 2 O 4 , and the specific surface area of CN-5 was slightly enhanced. The heterojunction structure generated by direct binding in CN-5 significantly reduced the photogenerated carrier complexation rate. Moreover, the photocatalytic mechanism indicated that the degradation of RhB followed the Z-type heterojunction mechanism, and photo-induced ·O 2 − played a pivotal role, followed by h+ and ·OH. Enhancing the survival performance of wave energy converters (WECs) in extreme wave conditions is crucial, and reducing wave loads is a key aspect of this. Placing the device underwater has been recognized as a beneficial strategy, yet the determination of the optimal submerged depth and the effects of varying wave conditions remain ambiguous. To address this, the study numerically analyzes the total forces in both horizontal and vertical directions, along with their harmonic components, across different wave configurations. A computational fluid dynamics method is employed to investigate a triangular-baffle bottom-shaped oscillating floater, which is known for its high energy conversion efficiency. The findings indicate that submerging the device to a depth equivalent to half the actual focused amplitude (1/2Ab) is the most effective strategy in the given sea state, offering superior wave force reduction vertically and robust performance horizontally. The analysis of harmonics reveals the significant contribution of high-order components to the total wave forces. Additionally, the study examines the impact of focused wave amplitudes and peak frequencies, showing that although force reductions are lessened in more extreme conditions, the optimal submerged depth of 1/2Ab still yields near 30% reduction in total vertical force and 22% in total horizontal force. Breast cancer is a highly heterogeneous disease with varied subtypes, prognoses and therapeutic responsiveness. Human leukocyte antigen class I (HLA-I) shapes the immunity and thereby influences the outcome of breast cancer. However, the implications of HLA-I variations in breast cancer remain poorly understood. In this study, we established a multiomics cohort of 1156 Chinese breast cancer patients for HLA-I investigation. We calculated four important HLA-I indicators in each individual, including HLA-I expression level, somatic HLA-I loss of heterozygosity (LOH), HLA-I evolutionary divergence (HED) and peptide-binding promiscuity (Pr). Then, we evaluated their distribution and prognostic significance in breast cancer subtypes. We found that the four breast cancer subtypes had distinct features of HLA-I indicators. Increased expression of HLA-I and LOH were enriched in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), while Pr was relatively higher in hot tumors within TNBCs. In particular, a higher Pr indicated a better prognosis in TNBCs by regulating the infiltration of immune cells and the expression of immune molecules. Using the matched genomic and transcriptomic data, we found that mismatch repair deficiency-related mutational signature and pathways were enriched in low- Pr TNBCs, suggesting that targeting mismatch repair deficiency for synthetic lethality might be promising therapy for these patients. Self-centering braces are an attractive new type of brace able to reduce structural residual deformations after earthquakes, with no requirement of major modifications to structural joints. One primary challenge in widespread implementations of self-centering braces is their high demands of prestressing forces, in order to counteract the anti-recentering resistance induced by their energy-dissipation system. This paper introduces a novel self-centering (SC) brace, denoted as a viscoelastic low-prestressing self-centering (VE-LPSC) brace, that needs only a low level of prestressing force to achieve self-centering. The proposed brace incorporates a novel frequency-independent viscoelastic damper (VED) as its energy-dissipation system. The new VED behaves similarly to displacement-based dampers that provide stable stiffness and damping across various frequencies. Meanwhile, as loading ends, the VED does not generate residual anti-recentering forces, unlike conventional velocity-based dampers. Performance tests on the VEDs were first conducted using three specimens to examine the material's deformation capacity, frequency-independent characteristic, fatigue-resistance capacity, and recovery capacity. Then, six full-scale brace prototype specimens were manufactured and tested, considering three levels of prestressing forces (15, 50, and 100 kN). Test results revealed that the brace achieved complete self-centering and consistent stiffness and strength under various frequencies, even with a prestressing force of 15 kN. With conventional steel strand and Belleville springs as its prestressed elements, the new brace was able to elongate 2.27% (corresponding to a story drift of 4.54%) while maintaining its recentering capacity. The VE-LPSC brace may experience some strength degradation after loading lower to 90%, but its capacity can recover to 98% of the original strength after 2 weeks. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In systems exhibiting the non-Hermitian skin effect (NHSE), the bulk spectrum under open boundary conditions (OBC) significantly differs from that of its periodic counterpart. This disparity renders the conventional bulk-boundary correspondence (BBC) inapplicable. Here we propose an intuitive approach called doubling and swapping to restore the BBC, using the non-Hermitian Su-Schrieffer-Heeger model as an example. Explicitly, we construct a modified system free of NHSE by swapping the asymmetric intracell hoppings in every second primitive unit cell. Importantly, this change does not alter the OBC spectrum. As a result, the modified periodic system can serve as the bulk for defining topological invariants that accurately predict edge states and topological phase transitions. The basic principle is applicable to many other systems. By extending the study to disordered systems in which the asymmetric hoppings are randomly swapped, we show that two types of winding numbers can also be defined to account for the NHSE and topological edge states, respectively. Non-Hermitian (NH) systems have recently attracted great attention, and the NH bulk-boundary correspondence is a key question. Municipal sludge contains abundant amounts of carbon, with contents ranging from 14 % to 38 %. The various carbon-containing group compounds can be converted into beneficial products, but pollutants and greenhouse gases are also released through the municipal sludge pyrolysis process. Ascertaining the pathways by which carbon-containing group compounds is converted and transformed is crucial for addressing pollution concerns and promoting recycling. This study explored the transformation pathways of carbon-containing group compounds during the pyrolysis process of municipal sludge. The results showed that the three major carbon-containing group compounds including protein (61 %), cellulose (9 %), and hemicellulose (7 %), had significantly different pyrolysis temperature of 600 °C, 400 °C and 300 °C. In terms of gas pollution, most carbon was fully pyrolyzed into CO 2. While the temperature raised up to 500 °C, a part of the CO 2 converted into CO. Meanwhile, the various carbon-containing compounds exhibited distinct effects on gas production, which CH 4 was produced more with cellulose and protein presenting in the sludge. When temperature increased to 700 °C, the 60 % of the carbon-containing group compounds were transformed into liquid and solid. The pyrolysis liquid in the low-temperature stage (30–300 °C) contained a relatively high aliphatics content and lower organooxygen species (OOSs) content (at 200 °C), suggesting a potential for resource utilization. The yield of CO in the gas rapidly increased as the temperature increased in the high-temperature stage (500–700 °C). The insights from this study hold practical implications for enhancing municipal sludge pyrolysis efficiency, reducing pollution, and facilitating more sustainable and resource-efficient practices. Inflammatory cytokine storms can trigger disease exacerbation and even death and have reached a consensus in the clinical treatment of acute organ failure. However, the existing strategies remain a great challenge to efficiently suppress inflammatory cytokine storms for promoting organ repair and regeneration. Herein, fully human umbilical cord (UC)-derived adhesive materials (UCAM) that integrate decellularized extracellular matrix (ECM) nanofiber hydrogel and homologous mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are demonstrated to greatly suppress inflammatory cytokine storms, demonstrating high efficacy in treating acute liver failure (ALF) in rats with 90% hepatectomy. The UC-derived adhesive materials have the capacity to secrete a significant quantity of cytokines by MSCs to recruit activated immune cells to migrate into their ECM nanofiber networks, segregating them away from the infection area and thereby greatly suppressing the inflammatory cytokine storms. As expected, the UC-derived adhesive materials can significantly promote hepatocyte proliferation to achieve functional recovery and regeneration of the liver, significantly improving the survival rate in rats. Our fully human UC-derived adhesive materials provide a new avenue in suppressing inflammatory cytokine storms for promoting organ regeneration that would be really utility in clinical organ transplantation-related treatment. Objectives: To explore the use of deep learning–constrained compressed sensing (DLCS) in improving image quality and acquisition time for 3D MRI of the brachial plexus. Methods: Fifty-four participants who underwent contrast-enhanced imaging and forty-one participants who underwent unenhanced imaging were included. Sensitivity encoding with an acceleration of 2 × 2 (SENSE4x), CS with an acceleration of 4 (CS4x), and DLCS with acceleration of 4 (DLCS4x) and 8 (DLCS8x) were used for MRI of the brachial plexus. Apparent signal-to-noise ratios (aSNRs), apparent contrast-to-noise ratios (aCNRs), and qualitative scores on a 4-point scale were evaluated and compared by ANOVA and the Friedman test. Interobserver agreement was evaluated by calculating the intraclass correlation coefficients. Results: DLCS4x achieved higher aSNR and aCNR than SENSE4x, CS4x, and DLCS8x (all p < 0.05). For the root segment of the brachial plexus, no statistically significant differences in the qualitative scores were found among the four sequences. For the trunk segment, DLCS4x had higher scores than SENSE4x (p = 0.04) in the contrast-enhanced group and had higher scores than SENSE4x and DLCS8x in the unenhanced group (all p < 0.05). For the divisions, cords, and branches, DLCS4x had higher scores than SENSE4x, CS4x, and DLCS8x (all p ≤ 0.01). No overt difference was found among SENSE4x, CS4x, and DLCS8x in any segment of the brachial plexus (all p > 0.05). Conclusions: In three-dimensional MRI for the brachial plexus, DLCS4x can improve image quality compared with SENSE4x and CS4x, and DLCS8x can maintain the image quality compared to SENSE4x and CS4x. Clinical relevance statement: Deep learning–constrained compressed sensing can improve the image quality or accelerate acquisition of 3D MRI of the brachial plexus, which should be benefit in evaluating the brachial plexus and its branches in clinical practice. The outstanding desiccation tolerance of Cronobacter sakazakii (C. sakazakii) enables long-term persistence in food products with low-water activity to increase the infection risk, especially in low-birth-weight, immuno-compromised neonates, and infants less than 4 weeks of age. In our previous study, the disruption of glutathione transport-related gene gsiD by transposon was found to significantly increase its inactivation rate under drying stress challenges. However, the mechanism underlying the association between glutathione transport and desiccation tolerance of C. sakazakii remains to be clarified. In this study, the mechanism underlying their association was investigated in detail by constructing the gsiD gene deletion mutant. gsiD gene deletion was found to cause the dysfunction of the glutathione transport system GsiABCD and the limitation of glutathione import. The resulting decrease in intracellular glutathione caused the decreased potassium ions uptake and increased potassium ions efflux, inhibited the proline synthesis process, limited extracellular glutathione utilization, increased oxidant stress, reduced biofilm formation, and increased outer membrane permeability, which may be the main reasons for the significant reduction of the desiccation tolerance of C. sakazakii. The advanced oxidation process based on persulfate group is a promising technology for water purification. However, the synergistic effect of free radical and non‐free radical degradation is still not feasible in the persulfate activation process, which consumes a large amount of external energy. The self‐floating Cu3BiS3/polydopamine/polyurethane sponge was prepared using a simple method, resulting in high catalytic performance when activated by peroxydisulfate (PDS). The experiments conducted to identify free radicals showed that the degradation process of tetracycline (TC) involved the synergistic action of non‐radical 1O2 and free radicals (SO4⋅− and • OH) and the conversion of Cu+/Cu2+. The addition of Cl−, HCO3−, PO43−, and SO42− to the solution did not significantly affect the high degradation rate of TC. Furthermore, the interfacial evaporation process achieved a remarkable evaporation rate of 1.53 kg m−2 h−1 and produced reclaimed water without any detectable TC contaminants. The sponge also exhibited excellent salt resistance and chemical stability. This study provides valuable insights into the degradation of antibiotics and the desalination of seawater. The unfolded protein response (UPR) is an evolutionarily conserved pathway that senses and responds to the accumulation of misfolded proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) lumen during bacterial infection. The IRE-1/XBP-1 pathway is a major branch of the UPRER that has been conserved from yeast to human. Dioscin, a steroidal saponin exhibits a broad spectrum of properties. However, whether dioscin influences the immune response and the underlying molecular mechanisms remain obscure. We find that dioscin increases resistance to Gram-negative pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Furthermore, dioscin also inhibits the growth of pathogenic bacteria. Meanwhile, dioscin enhances the resistance to pathogens by reducing bacterial burden in the intestine. Through genetic screening, we find that dioscin activates the UPRER to promote innate immunity via IRE-1/XBP-1 pathway. Intriguingly, dioscin requires the neural XBP-1 for immune response. Objectives Critical hyperbilirubinemia in preterm neonates, a condition requiring greater attention, is treated with phototherapy or exchange transfusion when bilirubin results exceed gestational age and age-specific medical decision levels (MDLs) to prevent bilirubin-induced neurologic damage. Conventional evaluation involves multiple manual steps and is poised to inconsistencies and delays. Methods We designed and implemented an electronic clinical decision support (CDS) tool to identify and alert neonatal intensive care unit clinicians of critical hyperbilirubinemia with a SmartZone alert. We evaluated the performance of our manual evaluation workflow, the accuracy of the electronic CDS tool, and the outcome of the electronic CDS tool to reduce the time to place orders for interventions. Results Among the 22 patients who met the criteria to have phototherapy ordered before implementing the electronic CDS tool, 20 (90%) had phototherapy ordered. Fourteen (70%) phototherapy orders were placed less than 24 hours, 4 phototherapy orders were placed 24 to 72 hours, and 2 orders were placed more than 72 hours after bilirubin results exceeded the corresponding MDLs. Among the 15 patients who met the criteria to have phototherapy ordered after implementing the electronic CDS tool, all (100%) received phototherapy orders, with 14 (93%) placed less than 24 hours and 1 order placed less than 48 hours. The electronic CDS tool identified all eligible patients correctly. The proportion of phototherapy ordered less than 24 hours increased from 70% to 93% after the implementation of the electronic CDS tool. In this paper, the problem of adaptive control is investigated for a class of non-strict feedback stochastic nonlinear systems with input delay. First, the effect of the input delay is eliminated by constructing an appropriate auxiliary system with the same order as the considered system. Then, with the help of the backstepping technique and the structural characteristics of the radial basis function (RBF) neural network (NN), an adaptive neural control scheme is extended to non-strict feedback stochastic nonlinear systems with input delay, in which uncertain nonlinear functions are approximated by RBF NN. Furthermore, the proposed adaptive controller ensures that all the closed-loop signals remain bounded in probability. Urban land use ecological efficiency is crucial to the urbanization process and urban ecosystem sustainability. Cities in ecologically sensitive zones with frequent natural disasters need more complex land use patterns and plans. Achieving the goal of harmonizing economy and ecosystem is key for sustainable development policy makers in these cities. Aiming to explore the urban land use ecological efficiency (LUEE) of ecologically sensitive areas, urban land use ecological efficiency index system of the Loess Plateau was constructed, the SBM-Tobit model was adopted to measure the LUEE and influencing factors from 2009 to 2018, and the characteristics of spatial–temporal evolution was discussed. The results indicated that there were significant spatial differences of LUEE in ecologically sensitive zone. The high-level cities of LUEE were located in the southwest areas, while low-level cities of LUEE were mostly situated in the northeast zones, and the temporal variation trend showed the characteristic of “W” curve. Additionally, the results of key factors identification demonstrated that science and technology expenditure and public transport development had positive effects on urban LUEE, while the land expansion, GDP growth, the second industry and real estate development will limit the improvement of urban LUEE. This study used the scientific evaluation index system and key factors identification method to explore the land use ecological efficiency in ecologically sensitive zones, aiming to provide a case study reference for urban land management and optimization in ecologically fragile areas. MAX phase-reinforced composite coatings were successfully prepared by laser cladding in-situ reaction using TiAl–TiC–Al powder preset on R60702 zirconium alloy surface. The behavior of composite coatings under high-temperature oxidation and interfacial oxidation was investigated. Differential thermogravimetry (DTG) oxidation weight gain curves demonstrated that high-temperature oxidation resistance of composite coating was better than that of Zr alloy. Oxide phase of composite coating mainly contained TiO 2 and small amount of Al 2 O 3. Oxidation characteristics of carbides (TiC and Ti 2 AlC) and TiAl intermetallic compounds revealed that oxidation rates of carbides were higher than those of TiAl intermetallic compounds. In addition, reasons for their different diffusion or oxidation rates were also discussed from the perspective of stability of original microstructure before and after oxidation. At the highest experimental temperature (1100 °C), oxide film thickness of composite coating (20 μm) was smaller than that of Zr alloy (550 μm). Interfacial oxidation behavior indicated that there was bimetallic galvanic corrosion effect between composite coating and Zr alloy, which is related to high electronic energy level of Zr from the perspective of quantum mechanics. We report a singular case of renal embolism in a hitherto healthy 46-year-old female. The patient initially presented with symptoms of exertional distress and chest discomfort. Following an extensive diagnostic workup, she was subsequently diagnosed with acute pulmonary embolism. On the day succeeding her admission, the patient manifested sustained abdominal discomfort. A three-dimensional cell culture in hydrogel beads can support cell growth and differentiation into multi-cellular structures, and these gel beads could be used as building blocks for more complex three-dimensional assemblies. This requires hydrogel beads that are robust enough to sort via FACS yet can be degraded by cell-secreted enzymes. Collagen polymers form hydrogels that are excellent cell growth substrates; however, collagen-containing hydrogel beads typically include additional polymers that limit their degradation. Here, we introduce a simple microfluidic method to generate robust, sortable, cell-laden collagen hydrogel beads. We use on-device pH control to trigger collagen gelation without exposing cells to low pH, ensuring high cell viability. We fabricate microfluidic devices to generate droplets with a wide size range, as demonstrated by production of both small (~55 µm diameter) and large (~300 µm diameter) collagen gels. In this work, a series of novel arylamide derivatives containing piperazine moiety were designed and synthesised as tubulin polymerisation inhibitors. Among 25 target compounds, compound 16f (MY-1121) exhibited low nanomolar IC50 values ranging from 0.089 to 0.238 μM against nine human cancer cells. Its inhibitory effects on liver cancer cells were particularly evident with IC50 values of 89.42 and 91.62 nM for SMMC-7721 and HuH-7 cells, respectively. Further mechanism studies demonstrated that compound 16f (MY-1121) could bind to the colchicine binding site of β-tubulin and directly act on β-tubulin, thus inhibiting tubulin polymerisation. Additionally, compound 16f (MY-1121) could inhibit colony forming ability, cause morphological changes, block cell cycle arrest at the G2 phase, induce cell apoptosis, and regulate the expression of cell cycle and cell apoptosis related proteins in liver cancer cells. Overall, the promising bioactivities of compound 16f (MY-1121) make the novel arylamide derivatives have the value for further development as tubulin polymerisation inhibitors with potent anticancer activities. Salinity distribution depends strongly on estuary geometry, tidal amplitude, and freshwater discharge, which counteract salt intrusion. As an important part of the “New Western Land and Sea Corridor” in China, the Pinglu Canal Project (PCP) plan has been proposed to dredge a navigational channel from the Inland Qinjiang River to the Maowei Sea in South China Sea. Understanding the salinity transport process in estuary region is important for both water resource management and ecosystem health in the Qinjiang River Estuary (QRE). In this study, a predictive model of high-water slack was constructed based on the steady-state equation of salt intrusion, and the related measurable or quantifiable variables were considered through empirical relations. The developed model herein was applied to the QRE, and the predicted salt distribution appeared to agree well with the observations. Then, the response of fresh water discharge and tide on the process of salt intrusion in the QRE before and after the PCP construction was analyzed. The results indicate that when the water flow discharge is Q<100 m3/s, the saltwater intrusion length in the QRE during the high tide period can attach to 10–27 km after the channel deepening, increased by 4.5 km compared to the natural condition in a whole year, and the seawater will intrude to the Youth Ship Lock when the fresh water is Q<20 m3/s and tidal range is H0>2 m. During the dry period, the Youth Hydro-hub can alleviate the saltwater intrusion by increasing the water discharge when the tidal range is H0>2.0 m, and then decreasing the water discharge when the tidal range is H0<1 m. The predictive model herein can be used to estimate the salt intrusion length under variable fresh water and tide level in the QRE region and provide efficient suggestions for quantifying upstream water discharge to mitigate salt intrusion after PCP construction. Objectives: High visit‐to‐visit blood pressure variability (BPV) was found to be associated with cognitive decline in the elderly. This study aimed to investigate the impact of visit‐to‐visit BPV on cognition in patients with early‐stage Parkinson's disease (PD). Design: This is a retrospective analysis of a prospective cohort. Setting and participants: A total of 297 patients with early‐stage PD (103 mild cognitive impairments [PD‐MCI] and 194 normal cognitions [PD‐NC] at baseline) were included from the Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative study. Methods: Variation independent of mean (VIM) of the first year was used as the indicator of BPV. The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) was used to assess global cognition. Patients were divided into PD‐MCI and PD‐NC according to the MoCA score at baseline. Longitudinal cerebrospinal fluid (Aβ‐42, Aβ, α‐synuclein, neurofilament light protein, tau phosphorylated at the threonine 181 position, total tau, glial fibrillary acidic protein) and serum (neurofilament light protein) biomarkers were assessed. The Bayesian linear growth model was used to evaluate the relationship between baseline BPV and the rate of change in cognition and biomarkers. Results: Higher systolic VIM of the first year was related to a greater rate of decline in MoCA score in the following years in PD‐MCI (β = −.15 [95% CI −.29, −.01]). No association was found between BPV and biomarkers. Conclusion and implications: Higher systolic VIM predicted a steeper decline in cognitive tests in PD‐MCI independently from the mean value of blood pressure, orthostatic hypotension, and supine hypertension. Social media use for risk communication during the COVID-19 pandemic has caused considerable concerns about an overabundance of information, particularly misinformation. However, how exposure to COVID-19 information on social media can lead to subsequent misinformation sharing during the pandemic has received little research attention. This study adopted the social amplification of risk framework to delineate how exposure to COVID-19 vaccine information on social media can be associated with individuals’ misinformation sharing through heuristic information processing. The role of social media trust was also examined. Results from an online survey (N = 1488) of Chinese Internet users revealed that exposure to COVID-19 vaccine information on social media was associated with misinformation sharing, mediated by both affect heuristics (i.e., negative affect toward the COVID-19 pandemic in general) and availability heuristics (i.e., perceived misinformation availability). Importantly, both high and low levels of trust in social media strengthened the mediating associations. While a low level of trust strengthened the association between exposure to COVID-19 vaccine information on social media and the affect heuristics, a high level of trust strengthened its association with the availability heuristics, both of which were associated with misinformation sharing. Our findings suggest that heuristic information processing is essential in amplifying the spread of misinformation after exposure to risk information on social media. Schistosomiasis japonicum can cause different degrees of organ damage and complex human immune pathological reactions, which often invade the intestine and liver. The purpose of this study was to explore the pathological types and pathological changes of Schistosomiasis and their correlation with some digestive system tumors. Hematoxylin eosin staining was performed on the diseased tissues of 1111 Schistosomiasis cases. We counted the deposition sites of Schistosoma eggs, analyzed the pathological characteristics, and compared the clinicopathological characteristics of Schistosomiasis associated digestive system tumors and non-Schistosomiasis digestive system tumors. We found that Schistosoma japonicum can cause multi organ and multi system damage, with 469 cases of inflammation, 47 cases of adenoma, and 519 cases of adenocarcinoma. Other types include cysts, stromal tumors, malignant lymphomas, and neuroendocrine tumors. Schistosomiasis associated tumors, including gastric cancer, liver cancer, colon cancer and rectal cancer, were compared with non-Schistosomiasis tumors. There were significant differences in age, gender and tumor differentiation between the two groups. Our study shows Schistosomiasis is a systemic disease, causing multiple organ and system damage in the human body. Its clinicopathological types are diverse, and there may be a pathological change process of "Inflammation-adenoma-carcinoma". Simple Summary: Pancreatic cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death. Identifying and elucidating important molecular mechanisms underlying pancreatic cancer cell proliferation will provide opportunities for therapeutic interventions. This study aims to examine the role of apoptosis-stimulating protein of p53-2 (ASPP2) in pancreatic cancer. We found that ASPP2 is phosphorylated by cyclin-dependent kinase 1 (CDK1) during mitosis. Results further indicate that depletion of ASPP2 attenuates pancreatic cancer cell growth in vitro and in vivo. Finally, our results show that ASPP2 markedly affects the transcriptome landscape of yes-associated protein (YAP)-related genes. These findings, for the first time, reveal the CDK1-mediated phosphorylation sites of ASPP2 during mitosis. These findings also demonstrate the essential role of ASPP2 in pancreatic cancer cell growth and identify the key targets for ASPP2-loss-induced growth remission. (3) Methods: the Phos-tag technique was used to investigate the phosphorylation mechanism of ASPP2 during mitosis. Phospho-specific antibodies were generated to validate the phosphorylation of ASPP2, and ASPP2-inducible expression cell lines were established to determine the role of ASPP2 in pancreatic cancer. RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) was used to uncover the downstream targets of ASPP2. (4) Results: results demonstrate that ASPP2 is phosphorylated during mitosis by cyclin-dependent kinase 1 (CDK1) at sites S562 and S704. In vitro and in vivo results show that ASPP2 is required for pancreatic cancer growth. Furthermore, the expressions of yes-associated protein (YAP)-related genes are found to be dramatically altered by ASPP2 depletion. Previous studies on the tourism behavior of different gender tourists focused on the differences in tourism information collection, tourism motivation and purchase behavior in tourism. In this paper, the concept of status quo bias is introduced into the study of gender differences affecting tourism behavior, by investigating the relationship between the degree of status quo bias and the number of trips of different groups, it is found that the status quo bias of men is often greater than that of women, and the degree of status quo bias has a negative impact on the number of travel; by verifying the mediating effect of status quo bias, we find that when marketing for male consumers, we should pay attention to eliminate their status quo bias and compensate for the change of status quo in order to obtain better marketing effect; by studying the importance of gender differences on different tourism motivations, it is found that men and women pay different attention to relationship strengthening, natural scenery, isolation and romantic tourism motivation. For studying the different recovery maturity influence on tomato postharvest storage quality, in different harvest maturity tomato (green ripe period, color-changing period, red period) as experiment material, put it in 3℃ and 28℃ temperature storage, and the determination of three different harvest maturity tomato in weightlessness rate, decay rate in the process of storage, reducing sugar content, titratable acid content, lycopene content and the content of ascorbic acid and so on six indicators, according to the fuzzy weight methods to establish comprehensive evaluation index weights, determine the harvest maturity of science. The results showed that under two different temperature environments, the highest comprehensive evaluation index of tomato was 0.6644 and the storage quality was the best. The comprehensive evaluation index of tomatoes harvested in the color-changing period was 0.4709, which was more suitable for storage at 3℃. Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the potential involvement of pyruvate kinase M2 (PKM2), an enzyme acting as a rate-limiting enzyme in the final phase of glycolysis, in the regulation of glial activation and brain damage of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Methods: Western blotting and immunofluorescence were performed to investigate PKM2 expression, terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase deoxyurinary triphosphate (dUTP) nick end labeling staining, hematoxylin and eosin staining, and behavioral tests were employed to evaluate the brain damage of ICH mice, and RNA-seq and bioinformatic analyses were performed to detect gene expression changes in ICH mice treated with TEPP-46. Results: Increased PKM2 levels in perihematomal brain tissue were found starting from 3 days following ICH and peaked at 5 and 7 days post ICH. The increased expression of PKM2 was mainly co-localized with glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP)+ astrocytes and ionized calcium binding adaptor molecule-1 (IBA-1)+ microglia. Furthermore, we observed a notable increase in the nuclear translocation of PKM2 in glial cells following ICH. TEPP-46 treatment significantly reduced PKM2 nuclear translocation, and effectively attenuated glial activation and brain injury, and improved functional recovery of mice with ICH. RNA-seq data indicated that 91.1% (205/225) of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were down-regulated in the TEPP-46 treated groups compared with the vehicle-treated groups in ICH brains. Furthermore, bioinformatic analyses revealed that these down-regulated DEGs were involved in a variety of biological processes, including autophagy and metabolic processes. In addition, the majority of these downregulated DEGs had a primary high expression in neurons, with subsequent expression seen in endothelial cells, microglia, and astrocytes. Conclusions: These results indicate that increased PKM2 nuclear translocation promotes the activation of glial cells after ICH, hence aggravating ICH-induced brain damage, and aggravates the brain injury induced by ICH. Background: There is little prospective evidence exists about whether adherence to a diabetes risk reduction diet (DRRD) is related to a significant reduction in renal cancer risk. We sought to clarify whether adherence to DRRD was associated with a reduced risk of renal cancer in a US population. Methods: A population-based cohort of 101,755 American adults was identified from the Prostate, Lung, Colorectal, and Ovarian Cancer Screening Trial. A DRRD score was calculated to assess adherence to this dietary pattern, where increased scores indicated greater adherence. The relationship between DRRD score and risk of renal cancer was assessed based on the hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs), which were both calculated using Cox regression. Non-linear association was determined through restricted cubic spline regression. Potential effect modifiers were identified through subgroup analyses. Results: Over a mean follow-up of 8.8 years, 446 renal cancers were detected. In this analysis, the fully adjusted model depicted a notable 29% reduction in the risk of renal cancer among individuals in the highest quartile of DRRD score in comparison with the lowest quartile individuals (HRQ4 vs. Q1: 0.71; 95% CI = 0.54, 0.94; Ptrend = 0.008). This association remained consistent across a series of sensitivity analyses. A non-linear inverse dose–response association between renal cancer risk with DRRD score was observed (Pnonlinearity = 0.026). Subgroup analyses showed that this favorable link was more prominent in participants with low Healthy Eating Index-2015 (Pinteraction = 0.015). Regarding the individual components of DRRD, a decrease in the risk of renal cancer was linked to increased intake of cereal fiber and whole fruit, and lower sugar-sweetened beverage consumption (all Ptrend < 0.05). Background: To investigate the prevalence of euthyroid sick syndrome (ESS) and to evaluate the outcomes and risk factors associated with ESS among hospitalized patients with diabetic ketosis (DK) or diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). Methods: Laboratory and clinical data of 396 adult hospitalized DK/DKA patients with or without ESS were collected and analyzed. Spearman linear analysis and multivariable logistic regression analyses were used to evaluate correlated factors of thyroid hormones and risk factors of ESS. Results: Most of the individuals were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes (359/396, 90.7%). The prevalence of ESS was 57.8% (229/396). Patients in ESS group were older and had a longer course of diabetes. Levels of thyroid hormones, serum lipids, and parameters reflecting acidosis were significantly decreased in ESS group. The proportion of patients with infection, acute renal injury and DKA was significantly higher in ESS group than in control group, accompanied by longer hospitalization stay and higher hospitalization costs. Free triiodothyronine positively correlates with albumin, eGFR, parameters reflecting acidosis and lipid profiles (All P < 0.001), and negatively correlates with age, onset age, 24-h urine albumin, hsCRP and WBC count (All P < 0.001). Hypoalbuminemia, low level of carbon dioxide combining power, high level of HbA1c and WBC, and co-infection are shown to be risk factors for ESS (OR = 0.866, 0.933, 1.112, 1.146, 1.929, respectively; All P < 0.05). Conclusions: The prevalence of ESS was high in adult DK/DKA patients. Patients with ESS had inferior clinical and socioeconomic outcomes. Increased biogas residue related to the rapid development of anaerobic fermentation has become an urgent environmental problem. The pyrolysis of biogas residue into biochar is one of the most promising treatments. In this study, biochar derived from biogas residue was prepared, and the degradation efficiency of phenol by permanganate (KMnO4) increased from 25.3% to 73.4% in 60 min in the presence of biogas residue biochar (BRB). KMnO4 reacted with BRB to produce intermediate manganese dioxide (MnO2), while BRB was activated. The specific surface area increased by 132.25%, and the oxygen-containing functional groups C=O, C−O, and COOH increased after the reaction. The generated MnO2 complexed with BRB to form MnO2@BRB. The newly formed MnO2@BRB catalyzed KMnO4 to remove phenol, which explains the high removal efficiency of phenol. A significant removal rate was also observed for antibiotics and chlorophenols, which suggested that the KMnO4/BRB system has a relatively high ability to oxidize organic pollutants. In addition, the co-existing metal ions and the natural environment had little influence on the removal efficiency of the KMnO4/BRB system. This work provides a novel technology for the resource utilization of biogas residue and improved organic pollutant removal efficiency of KMnO4 in the presence of BRB. An accurate and reliable neurological examination is pivotal in diagnosing patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions. Despite the advancement of neuroscientific knowledge and the ever-progressing technologies and modalities that are being adopted to help achieve the challenge of accurate diagnosis, the neurologic examination is still crucial in both ambulatory and emergency settings. It provides the physician a tool to recognise neurologic involvement in certain disease states, and thereby allow proper work-up and treatment for patients. A basic neurologic examination can be performed rapidly with practice. Manual muscle testing of the lower limbs was carried out in accordance with a bedside clinical examination involving a clinical personnel examiner and a patient. This testing was performed in a rostro-caudal manner, starting from the hip and progressing to the toes. The neurological exam can be intimidating to perform for a lot of physicians. Deficiencies in accurate muscle testing have always presented a challenge for medical students and clinicians. By referring to the examination methods mentioned in our text and with the help of related video, it is our aim to improve the quality of neurological examination among medical personnel so that diseases may be recognised and managed earlier in their course. Background: The pathogenesis of PD has not been fully elucidated, but recent studies have shown that the adaptive immune system may play a role in the pathology of PD. However, there is a lack of longitudinal studies exploring the relationship between peripheral adaptive immune indicators and the rate of disease progression in PD. Methods: We included early PD patients with disease duration < 3 years and assessed the severity of clinical symptoms and peripheral adaptive immune system indicators (CD3+, CD4+, CD8+ T lymphocyte subsets, CD4+:CD8+ ratio, IgG, IgM, IgA, C3, C4) at baseline. Clinical symptoms were followed up every year. We used the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS) to assess the disease severity and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) to assess global cognitive function. Result: A total of 152 PD patients were eventually included. The linear mixed model showed no significant association between baseline peripheral blood adaptive immune indicators and baseline MoCA scores or UPDRS part III scores. A higher baseline CD3+ lymphocyte percentage was associated with a slower rate of decline in MoCA scores. Baseline immune indicators were not associated with the rate of change of the UPDRS part III scores. Conclusion: The subset of peripheral T lymphocytes was related to the rate of cognitive decline in early PD patients, suggesting that the peripheral adaptive immune system may be involved in the process of cognitive decline in early PD. Background: This study aimed to investigate the association between baseline serum tumor markers (STMs) (carcinoembryonic antigen [CEA], neuron-specific enolase [NSE], cytokeratin-19 fragment [CYFRA21-1], carbohydrate antigen 19–9 [CA19-9], and carbohydrate antigen 125 [CA125]) and the efficacy of first-line immunotherapy in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer. Methods: This multicenter retrospective study evaluated patients who received first-line immunotherapy between July 2017 and July 2022. The endpoints were progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS), as defined by the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors version 1.1. We divided the patients into three groups based on STM levels: Group A ≥ threefold upper limit of normal, threefold upper limit of normal > Group B > upper limit of normal, and Group C ≤ upper limit of normal. Results: In total, 716 patients were included in this study. In Cox proportional hazards analyses, the STM levels in Group C were independently associated with superior PFS and OS in patients with lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). Except for CA19-9 level, the STM levels in Group C were independently associated with superior PFS and OS in patients with lung squamous carcinoma (LUSC). Except for CEA and CA19-9 levels, the levels in Group A were independently associated with inferior PFS and OS in patients with LUAD and LUSC. Conclusions: Serum CEA, NSE, CYFRA21-1, and CA125 levels can predict PFS and OS in patients with LUAD and LUSC, and serum CA19-9 levels can predict PFS and OS in patients with LUAD. The higher the serum NSE, CYFRA21-1, and CA125 levels, the worse the PFS and OS in patients with LUAD and LUSC. In addition, the higher the serum CA19-9 level, the worse the OS in patients with LUAD. Cyclins and cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) play versatile roles in promoting the hallmarks of cancer. Therefore, cyclins and CDKs have been widely studied and targeted in cancer treatment, with four CDK4/6 inhibitors being approved by the FDA and many other inhibitors being examined in clinical trials. The specific purpose of this review is to delineate the role and therapeutic potential of Cyclin K in cancers. Studies have shown that Cyclin K regulates many essential biological processes, including the DNA damage response, mitosis, and pre-replicative complex assembly, and is critical in both cancer cell growth and therapeutic resistance. Importantly, the druggability of Cyclin K has been demonstrated in an increasing number of studies that identify novel opportunities for its use in cancer treatment. This review first introduces the basic features and translational value of human cyclins and CDKs. Next, the discovery, phosphorylation targets, and related functional significance of Cyclin K-CDK12/13 complexes in cancer are detailed. This review then provides a summary of current Cyclin K-associated cancer studies, with an emphasis on the available Cyclin K-targeting drugs. Over the past few years, single image super-resolution (SR) has become a hotspot in the remote sensing area, and numerous methods have made remarkable progress in this fundamental task. However, they usually rely on the assumption that images suffer from a fixed known degradation process, e.g., bicubic downsampling. To save us from performance drop when real-world distribution deviates from the naive assumption, blind image super-resolution for multiple and unknown degradations has been explored. Nevertheless, the lack of a real-world dataset and the challenge of reasonable degradation estimation hinder us from moving forward. In this paper, a self-supervised degradation-guided adaptive network is proposed to mitigate the domain gap between simulation and reality. Firstly, the complicated degradations are characterized by robust representations in embedding space, which promote adaptability to the downstream SR network with degradation priors. Specifically, we incorporated contrastive learning to blind remote sensing image SR, which guides the reconstruction process by encouraging the positive representations (relevant information) while punishing the negatives. Besides, an effective dual-wise feature modulation network is proposed for feature adaptation. With the guide of degradation representations, we conduct modulation on feature and channel dimensions to transform the low-resolution features into the desired domain that is suitable for reconstructing high-resolution images. Extensive experiments on three mainstream datasets have demonstrated our superiority against state-of-the-art methods. Background: The plant-based paleolithic diet (PD) and the paleolithic-like lifestyle (PLL) may reduce the risk of chronic diseases, including colorectal adenomas. These dietary and lifestyle approaches are proposed to exert their effects through mechanisms such as reducing inflammation, oxidative stress, and insulin levels. However, whether PD and PLL is associated with the risk of colorectal cancer (CRC) has not been determined. Methods: A cohort of 74,721 individuals who participated in the PLCO study were included in this analysis. Adherence to the PD and PLL was assessed using PD and PLL scores, where higher scores indicated greater adherence. Multivariable Cox models were utilized to estimate hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for the risk of CRC and its subsites (proximal colon cancer and distal CRC). Subgroup analyses were conducted to identify potential effect modifiers. Results: During a mean follow-up of 9.2 years, a total of 694 CRC cases were identified. Participants in the highest compared with the lowest quartiles of PD score had a lower risk of CRC (Q4 vs Q1: HR 0.76, 95% CI 0.61–0.95, Ptrend = 0.009) and proximal colon cancer (Q4 vs Q1: HR 0.73, 95% CI 0.55–0.97, Ptrend = 0.02). A stronger inverse association was observed for PLL score with the risk of CRC (Q4 vs Q1: HR 0.64, 95% CI 0.51–0.81, Ptrend < 0.001), proximal colon (Q4 vs Q1: HR 0.62, 95% CI 0.46–0.83, Ptrend = 0.001) and distal CRC (Q4 vs Q1: HR 0.69, 95% CI 0.48–0.98, Ptrend = 0.03). Subgroup analyses revealed the inverse association of PD score with the risk of CRC was more pronounced in participants with BMI < 30 (Q4 vs Q1: HR 0.68, 95% CI 0.53–0.87) than in those with BMI ≥ 30 (Q4 vs Q1: HR 1.07, 95% CI 0.68–1.67) (Pinteraction = 0.02). Group A streptococcus is a common transmissible pathogen that leads to acute pharyngitis. Accurate and timely diagnosis of Group A streptococcus pharyngitis is critical to urge patients to seek professional healthcare, to support antibiotic stewardship, to reduce disease transmission, and to prevent rare but potentially life-threatening complications such as acute rheumatic fever, rheumatic heart disease, and poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis. This review provides an overview for OTC and DTC testing in general, discusses the clinical utilization of Group A streptococcus testing, analyzes the limitations and challenges of current Group A streptococcus testing methodologies if developed into OTC or DTC tests. Objective: Intracranial aneurysms (IAs) are a prevalent form of vascular disease that can lead to fatal outcomes upon rupture. Mirror intracranial aneurysms (MIAs) are a specific type of multiple aneurysms situated symmetrically on both sides of the parent arteries. The factors contributing to the risk of MIA rupture, based on morphological and hemodynamic parameters, are currently controversial. Thus, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to investigate the risk factors for MIA rupture. Methods: The study performed an electronic search of Chinese and English databases, including China national Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), WanFang, VIP, PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Scopus, and the Cochrane Library databases, and adhered to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The morphological parameters (IA size, aspect ratio [AR], size ratio [SR], bottleneck factor [BNF], height-width ratio [HWR], irregular shape) and hemodynamic parameters (wall shear stress [WSS], low WSS area [LSA], oscillatory shear index [OSI]) were analyzed for their significance in determining the risk of MIA rupture. Results: The analysis comprised 18 retrospective studies involving 647 patients, with a total of 1294 IAs detected, including 605 ruptured and 689 unruptured. The meta-analysis revealed that IA size, AR, SR, and irregular shape exhibited significant differences between the ruptured and unruptured groups, but HWR did not. In terms of hemodynamic parameters, WSS, OSI, and LSA were found to have significant differences between the two groups. Conclusions: Our results demonstrate that larger IAs, higher AR, SR, and BNF are associated with a higher risk of rupture in patients with MIAs, regardless of their location. there is no significant difference in HWR between the ruptured and unruptured groups. These preliminary findings offer valuable insights for clinical decision-making and a more comprehensive comprehension of the current MIA status. While the protected area (PA) covers >15% of the planet's terrestrial land area and continues to expand, factors determining its effectiveness in conserving endangered species are being debated. We investigated the links between direct anthropogenic pressures, socioeconomic settings, and the coverage of vertebrate taxa by China's PA network, and indicated that high socioeconomic status and low levels of human pressure correlate with high species coverage, with threatened mammals more effectively conserved than reptiles or amphibians. Positive links between conservation outcomes and socioeconomic progress appear linked to local livelihood improvements triggering positive perceptions of local PAs—aided further by ecological compensation and tourism schemes introduced in wealthy areas and reinforced by continued positive conservation outcomes. Socioeconomic development of China's less developed regions might assist regional PA efficiency and achievement of the Kunming‐Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, while also addressing potential shortcomings from an insufficient past focus on socioeconomic impacts for biodiversity conservation. Background: Retinitis pigmentosa is a group of rare hereditary retinal dystrophy diseases that lead to difficulty seeing at night, progressive loss of peripheral field vision (tunnel vision), and eventual loss of central vision. However, a genetic cause cannot be determined in approximately 60% of cases. Case presentation: Two non-consanguineous Yi minority ethnic group families who have a 6.4-year-old boy and a 0.5-year-old boy, respectively, were recruited for genetic diagnosis. Here, we used whole-exome sequencing to detect mutations in the genes of the probands of the retinitis pigmentosa families, and Sanger sequencing to confirm the causal mutations identified by whole exome sequencing. In addition, we report two cases with retinitis pigmentosa caused by RDH12 (c.524C > T) and PRPF4 (c.1273G > A) pathogenic mutations. Conclusions: These results might extend the mutation spectrum of known retinitis pigmentosa genes and give these two Yi minority ethnic group families from Yunnan more precise genetic counseling and more specific prognoses. Background: Pruritus is identified as an adverse drug reaction to arsenic trioxide, but the association of arsenic exposure with pruritus has not been investigated. Methods: A cross‐sectional study was conducted in Shimen, China. A Mendelian randomization analysis was conducted to confirm the causal relationship between genetically predicted percentages of monomethylated arsenic (MMA%) and dimethylated arsenic (DMA%) in urine with chronic pruritus in UK Biobank. A case–control study was then conducted to determine the biomarker for pruritus. Arsenite‐treated mice were used to confirm the biomarker, and von Frey test was used to induce scratching bouts. Last, a randomized, double‐blind, placebo‐controlled trial was conducted to test the efficacy of naloxone in arsenic‐exposed patients with pruritus in Shimen. Results: Hair arsenic (μg/g) showed a dose–response relationship with the intensity of itch in 1079 participants, with odds ratios (OR) of 1.11 for moderate‐to‐severe itch (p = 0.012). The Mendelian randomization analysis confirmed the causal relationship, with ORs of 1.043 for MMA% (p = 0.029) and 0.904 for DMA% (p = 0.077) above versus under median. Serum β‐endorphin was identified as a significant biomarker for the intensity of itch (p < 0.001). Consistently, treatment with arsenite upregulated the level of β‐endorphin (p = 0.002) and induced scratching bouts (p < 0.001) in mice. The randomized controlled trial in 126 participants showed that treatment with sublingual naloxone significantly relieved the intensity of itch in arsenic‐exposed participants in 2 weeks (β = −0.98, p = 0.04). Early warning of hypertensive disorder in pregnancy (HDP) can improve maternal and infant outcomes. However, few studies had evaluated the warning value of high-normal blood pressure (BP) before the onset of HDP. This was a prospective cohort study to investigate the relationship between high-normal BP in the first half of pregnancy and the risk of HDP. According to the maximum BP measured before 20+6  weeks of gestation, the cohort was divided into three groups: optimal BP (SBP < 120 mmHg and DBP < 80 mmHg), normal BP (120 mmHg ≤ SBP < 130 mmHg or 80 mmHg ≤ DBP < 85 mmHg), and high-normal BP (130 mmHg ≤ SBP < 140 mmHg or 85 mmHg ≤ DBP < 90 mmHg). The relationship between different BP levels in the first half of pregnancy and HDP risk was assessed by general linear models. Ten thousand one hundred and ninety-three normotensive pregnant women with complete information were finally included for data analysis. Among them, 532 pregnant women were diagnosed with HDP, with a total HDP incidence of 5.2%. The incidences in the optimal, normal, and high-normal BP groups were 2.4%, 6.0%, and 21.8%, respectively. Compared to women with optimal BP in the first half of pregnancy, women with high-normal BP had a 445% increased risk of HDP (aRR: 5.45, 95% CI: 4.24-7.00), and even women with normal BP had a 107% increased risk of HDP (aRR: 2.07, 95% CI: 1.68-2.56). To examine the impact of oxidative jets on the thrust vector angle, secondary combustion efficiency, and combustion chamber pressure, inert gas (nitrogen) and pure oxygen are injected into the primary flow, which includes combustible components, at various locations in the divergence section and throat using different injection techniques. The simulations utilize Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations coupled with the SST k - ω turbulence model in two-dimensional numerical simulations and large-eddy simulation in three-dimensional studies. The numerical method is validated through schlieren experiments, and the vortex is identified using the Liutex-Omega method. The vortex structures and flow characteristics are analyzed. The results indicate that, at the same flow rate, the vector control effect of pure oxygen is superior to nitrogen only in the divergence section, but inferior to nitrogen in both the divergence section and throat. However, with improved vector control, the peak of the vector angle is achieved at a lower flow rate in the case of pure oxygen. When the secondary flow is introduced only in the divergence section, the flow ratio corresponding to the peak point in the pure oxygen case is approximately 14.3% earlier than that in the nitrogen case. The introduction of the pure oxygen jet enhances the secondary combustion efficiency of the primary flow, but to a limited extent. Additionally, when the jet is introduced at the throat, the effect of the pure oxygen case on adjusting the combustion chamber pressure is inferior to that of the nitrogen case. The study was to analyze the fluctuation trend and influencing factors of unit price of soybean meal in China. Based on MSIH (3)~VAR (2) model, the monthly data from April 2014 to December 2020 were selected to analyze the fluctuation situation and influencing factors of domestic soybean meal raw material unit price from the perspective of nonlinear. The results showed that the overall unit price of soybean meal raw materials can be summarize as "market downturn-stable operation-unit price rise" three regional system characteristics. Further analysis of the factors affecting the unit price of soybean meal raw materials showed that the fluctuation of corn price would cause the price of soybean meal raw materials to fluctuate in the same direction, but with lagging characteristics in terms of demand. At the supply level, the fluctuation of soybean meal raw material price was affected by the changes of agricultural production price, output and agricultural production price in the same direction, and the effect was more severe in the period of soybean meal raw material price rising, and weaker in the period of soybean meal raw material price low and stable. The study indicates that the unit price of soybean meal raw materials is easily affected by multiple factors on the supply side and the demand side, the price fluctuation of soybean meal raw materials should be stabilized from the price of soybean substitutes and the price of soybean production.
