Objectives To identify the predictors of anatomical and functional outcomes following tympanoplasty. Study Design A retrospective cohort study. Methods Patients with chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) who underwent a tympanoplasty at Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2019 were retrospectively included. Outcome measures included graft success and postoperative pure tone audiometry air‐bone gap (PTA‐ABG) at last follow‐up (≥6 months). PTA‐ABG and MERI were calculated. Descriptive, univariable, and multivariable logistic regression analyses were conducted to evaluate the predictors of the graft and hearing outcomes. Results During the study, 385 patients (167 male, 218 female, median age 44 years) undergoing 413 procedures were studied. Out of this, 219 ears underwent tympanoplasty, 45 ears had tympanoplasty with canal wall up mastoidectomy, and 149 ears had tympanoplasty with canal wall down mastoidectomy. At the last follow‐up, the overall graft success rate was 91.3% (377/413) and the overall hearing success rate was 40% (165/413). Multivariable analysis results showed that the obstructed aditus ad antrum (OR 2.67, 95%CI 1.13‐6.30; P = .025) was an independent prognostic factor for graft failures. Moreover, the obstructed aditus ad antrum (OR 2.18, 95%CI 1.16‐4.08; P = .015) and MERI >3 (OR 6.53, 95%CI 3.55‐12.02; P 20 dB). Conclusions Aditus ad antrum patency was an independent predictor of both graft and hearing success among patients following tympanoplasty. MERI score greater than three was found to be a significant predictor of postoperative hearing and could serve as a useful tool for assisting clinicians in perioperative risk assessment. The dynamic changes in microbial diversity during the aerobic composting of agricultural crop straw with additives were evaluated using high-throughput sequencing at four phases of composting (mesophilic, thermophilic, cooling and maturation phases). In addition, the physicochemical parameters of the composting system were determined in this study. The fermentation time of the thermophilic period was prolonged with the addition of urea or urea combined with a microbial agent. The ratio of C/N and germination index variation indicated that the additives were favorable for composting, because the additives directly changed the physicochemical properties of the compost and had effects on the diversity and abundance of bacteria and fungi. The abundance of operational taxonomic units (OTUs), diversity index (Shannon) and richness index (Chao1) of fungi and bacteria were found to significantly increase when urea+microbial agents were added to straw in the thermophilic phase. The relative abundance of the predominant bacteria and fungi at the phylum and genus levels differed during different composting phases. The abundance of the phyla Firmicutes and Proteobacteria declined in the order of treatments SNW>SN>S (S is straw only compost; SN is straw+5 kg t−1 urea compost; and SNW is straw+5 kg t−1 urea+ 1 kg t−1 microbial agent compost) in the thermophilic phase. The abundance of the genera Staphylococcus, Bacillus and Thermobifida followed the same order in the mesophilic phase. Ascomycota accounted for more than 92% of the total fungal sequences. With the progression of the composting process, the abundance of Ascomycota decreased gradually. The abundance of Ascomycota followed the order of S>SN>SNW during the thermophilic phase. The abundance of Aspergillus accounted for 4–59% of the total abundance of fungi and increased during the first two sampling periods. Aspergillus abundance followed the order of SNW>SN>S. Additionally, principal component analysis (PCA) revealed that the community compositions in the straw and straw+urea treatments were similar, and that the bacterial communities in treatments S, SN and SNW in the mesophilic phase (at day 1) were different from those observed in three other phases (at days 5, 11, and 19, respectively), while the fungal communities showed only slight variations in their structure in response to changes in the composting process. Canonical correlation analysis (CCA) and redundancy analysis (RDA) showed that total carbon (TC), NO3−-N (NN), electrical conductivity (EC) and pH were highly correlated with community composition. Therefore, this study highlights that the additives are beneficial to straw composting and result in good quality compost.

Aim Pre-eclampsia is a serious pregnancy-specific disease with an incidence of 9.4%. MicroRNAs play a key role in regulating factors in pre-eclampsia, but related research is still limited. This study aims to reveal the role and potential mechanisms of miR-483 in pre-eclampsia. Methods miR-483 was detected in venous blood, umbilical cord blood and placental tissue of pre-eclampsia patients by Real-time Quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Insulin-like growth factor (IGF1) and miR-483 were detected by qRT-PCR and western blot in endothelial progenitor cells isolated from fetal umbilical cord blood. miR-483 was overexpressed and inhibited to detect changes of IGF1 and PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway in endothelial progenitor cells by qRT-PCR and western blot. Results miR-483 was downregulated in venous blood, umbilical cord blood and placental tissue of pre-eclampsia patients. In endothelial progenitor cells, overexpression of miR-483 inhibited the expression of IGF1, and inhibition of miR-483 promoted the expression of IGF1. miR-483 regulates the expression of PI3K, Akt, and mTOR in endothelial progenitor cells. Conclusion miR-483 is downregulated in pre-eclampsia and regulates endothelial progenitor cells by targeting IGF1. miR-483 is a potential alternative for diagnosing and treating pre-eclampsia.

The DiveScope cell morphology analyzer (DiveScope) is a new endomicroscope that can rapidly image living tissues and cells. In this study, we preliminarily examined the accuracy of the DiveScope for determining the malignancy of head and neck cancers and the positivity/negativity of tumor resection margins and determined the consistency between diagnostic results with the DiveScope and those of frozen section pathology to provide a foundation for further clinical trials in pathological diagnosis of head and neck cancers and tumor resection margins.Methods: Head and neck cancer samples and resection margin samples were rapidly stained ex vivo before observation under the DiveScope cell morphology analyzer. Experienced pathologists distinguished the benignity and malignancy of the tumors based on images obtained by the DiveScope in a double-blind manner to validate the diagnostic performance of the analyzer.Results: We found that the cell morphology, cell nucleus morphology, karyoplasmic ratio, and even the nucleolus could be clearly distinguished. The positive likelihood ratio (PLR) and negative likelihood ratio (NLR) of benign and malignant head and neck cancer according to DiveScope results were 10.55 and 0.04, respectively. The PLR and NLR of the head and neck cancer resection margins according to the DiveScope were 19.01 and 0, respectively.Conclusion: The DiveScope showed high accuracy in determining the benignity and malignancy of head and neck cancer and the positivity/negativity of resection margins, and its results were highly consistent with those of intraoperative frozen section pathology tests.Keywords: the DiveScope cell morphology analyzer, head and neck cancer, resection margins, pathological diagnosis

The release mechanism of odorants in the oral cavity during consumption directly affects sensory attributes, consumers’ preferences, and ultimately purchase intent. Targets was set to monitor in real-time the key odorants released from grilled eel during mastication via an atmospheric pressure chemical ionization mass spectrometry (APCI-MS) connected with a nose interface. The release and perception of odorants during mastication were divided into three distinct phases. Dimethyl sulfide was the main odorant in the first stage. The release and perception of fishy aromas were predominant in the middle and last stages of mastication contributed by trimethylamine, 1-penten-3-ol, and 2-methyl-1-butanol. Chewing behavior experiments suggested that extending the chewing period to >20 s and having a chewing frequency of 2 cycles/s could enhance the aroma delivery of grilled eel and optimize the consumer experience. Consequently, the results explained the relationship between aroma release and the optimal chewing behavior for grilled eel consumption.

BACKGROUND: This study aimed to investigate the refractive status and optical components of premature babies with or without retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) at 7 years old and to explore the influence of prematurity and ROP on the refractive status and optical components. METHODS: From January 2009 to February 2011, premature babies receiving fundus photographic screening (FPS) were recruited and divided into non-ROP group and ROP group. Full-term babies matched in age were recruited as controls. Auto-refractometer was employed to detect the corneal refractive power, corneal radius (CR) of curvature and corneal astigmatism, A-scan ultrasonography was performed to detect the anterior chamber depth (ACD), lens thickness (LT), vitreous thickness (VITR) and ocular axial length (AL), and retinoscopy was done following cycloplegia with 1% cyclopentolate in these babies at 7 years old. These parameters were compared among groups, and the correlations of gestational age and birth weight with the refractive status and optical components were further evaluated. RESULTS: Of 126 subjects, a total of 252 eyes were evaluated in this study, including 50 eyes of 25 subjects in ROP group (pre-threshold stage 1–3), 110 eyes of 55 subjects in non-ROP group and 92 eyes of 46 subjects in control group. The incidence of myopia was the highest in ROP group (9/50, 18%), followed by non-ROP group (11/110; 10%) and control group (6/92; 6.52%). The incidence of hyperopia was the highest in control group (21/92; 22.83%), followed by ROP group (8/50; 16%) and non-ROP group (10/110; 9.09%). The incidence of astigmatism was the highest in ROP group (18/50; 36%), followed by non-ROP group (25/110; 22.73%) and control group (12/92; 13.04%). The corneal astigmatism (–1.58, –1.11, –0.86 DC, P0.05); the ACD in ROP group and non-ROP group was markedly deeper than in control group (3.16, 3.12, 3.21 mm, P>0.05). The gestational age was negatively related to corneal astigmatism (r=–0.208, P=0.013) and astigmatism (r=–0.226, P=0.004), but positively associated with ocular AL (r=0.252, P=0.005). Environmental and plant factors (soil condition, variety, season, and maturity) and exposure risks of aluminum (Al), manganese (Mn), lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), and copper (Cu) in tea leaves were investigated. The concentrations of these metals in tea leaves could not be predicted by their total concentrations in the soil. During any one season, there were differences in Al, Mn, and Cd levels between tea varieties. Seasonally, autumn tea and/or summer tea had far higher levels of Al, Mn, Pb, and Cd than did spring tea. Tea leaf maturity positively correlated with the concentrations of Al, Mn, Pb, and Cd, but negatively with Cu. The calculated average daily intake doses (mg/ [kg•d]) for these metal elements were 0.14 (Al), 0.11 (Mn), 2.70 × 10−3(Cu), 2.80 × 10−4(Pb), and 2.88 × 10−6(Cd). The hazard quotient values of each metal were all significantly lower than risk level (=1), suggesting that, for the general population, consumption of tea does not result in the intake of excessive amounts of Al, Mn, Pb, Cd, or Cu. This study identified the factors that can be monitored in the field to decrease consumer exposure to Al and Mn through tea consumption. Environmental and plant factors influence aluminum and heavy metal accumulation in tea leaves. Consumers of tea are not ingesting excessive Al, Mn, Pb, Cd, or Cu. Trackable factors were identified to manage exposure levels.

This study investigated the fluoride present in tea plants (Camellia sinensis (L.) O. Kuntze) and its relationship to soils, varieties, seasons and tea leaf maturity. The study also explored how different manufacturing processes affect the leaching of fluoride into tea beverages. The fluoride concentration in the tea leaves was significantly correlate to the concentration of water-soluble fluoride in the soil. Different tea varieties accumulated different levels of fluoride, with varieties, Anji baicha having the highest and Nongkang zao having the lowest fluoride concentration. In eight different varieties of tea plant harvested over three tea seasons, fluoride concentration were highest in the summer and lowest in the spring in china. The fluoride concentration in tea leaves was directly related to the maturity of the tea leaves at harvest. Importantly, the tea manufacturing process did not introduced fluoride contamination. The leaching of fluoride was 6.8% and 14.1% higher in black and white tea, respectively, than in fresh tea leaves. The manufacturing step most affecting the leaching of fluoride into tea beverage was withering used in white, black and oolong tea rather than rolling or fermentation. The exposure and associated health risks for fluoride concentration in infusions of 115 commercially available teas from Chinese tea markets was determined. The fluoride concentration ranged from 5.0 to 306.0mgkg(-1), with an average of 81.7mgkg(-1). The hazard quotient (HQ) of these teas indicated that there was no risk of fluorosis from drinking tea, based on statistical analysis by Monte Carlo simulation.

The aim of this study was to determine the levels of fluoride in commercial teas and to estimate the contribution of tea consumption to the fluoride recommended daily allowance. A total of 558 tea products in 6 categories, green tea, black tea, oolong tea, pu'er tea, white tea, and reprocessed tea, were collected in the period from 2010 to 2013. The levels of fluoride in infusions of these teas were determined by a fluoride-ion selective electrode. The mean fluoride level in all of the tea samples was 85.16 mg/kg. For each category of tea, the mean fluoride levels were 63.04, 99.74, 52.19, 101.67, 159.78, and 110.54 mg/kg for green tea, black tea, white tea, pu'er tea, oolong tea, and reprocessed tea, respectively. The fluoride content of tea from 4 tea zones in descending order were Southern tea zone (111.39 mg/kg) > Southwest tea zone (78.78 mg/kg) > Jiangnan tea zone (71.73 mg/kg) > Jiangbei tea zone (64.63 mg/kg). These areas produced teas with lower fluoride levels than available foreign-produced tea (161.11 mg/kg). The mean chronic daily intake (CDI) was 0.02 mg/(kg•day) or 1.27 mg/kg. Generally, consuming tea from these 6 categories does not result in the intake of excessive amounts of fluoride for the general population.

A boy aged 2 months (born at 36 weeks of gestation) was admitted due to cough and dyspnea. After admission, he was found to have persistent hypertension, proteinuria, and persistent convulsion, and imaging examination showed extensive calcification of the aorta and major branches and stenosis of local lumens of the abdominal aorta and the right renal artery with increased blood flow velocity. The boy was admitted during the neonatal period due to wet lung and pulmonary arterial hypertension and was found to have hypertension and proteinuria. Highthroughput whole-exome sequencing was performed and found two compound heterozygous mutations in the ENPP1 gene from his parents, c.130C > T (p.Q44X) and c.1112A > T (p.Y371F). c.130C > T was a nonsense mutation, which could cause partial deletion of protein from 44 amino acids, and was defined as a primary pathogenic mutation. c.1112A > T was a missense mutation which had been reported as a pathogenic mutation associated with idiopathic infantile arterial calcification (ⅡAC). Therefore, he was diagnosed with ⅡAC. He was given phosphonate drugs, antihypertensive drugs, anticonvulsion treatment, and respiratory support. Blood pressure was maintained at the upper limit of normal value. There was no deterioration of arterial calcification. It is concluded that ⅡAC should be considered for infants with persistent hypertension and extensive vascular calcification, and imaging and genetic examinations should be performed as early as possible to make a confirmed diagnosis.

A low-cost and highly efficient biosorbent for the removal of fluoride from drinking water from spent mushroom compost (SMC) that was carbonized (spent mushroom compost biochar, SMCB) coated by aluminum hydroxide. Adsorption studies were performed to investigate the influence of adsorbent dosage, initial fluoride concentration, contact time, pH, and coexisting ions on fluoride adsorption. The fluoride adsorption capacity of the coated SMCB was greater than that of uncoated SMCB. Fluoride adsorption by coated SMCB followed the Langmuir isotherm model, and the maximum adsorption capacity was 36.5 mg/g. The fluoride concentration could be reduced to below 1 mg/L from an initial fluoride concentration of 10 mg/L. While the pH of the solution did play an important role in the fluoride removal capacity, with the SMCB performed well under a wide pH range, from 6.0 to 8.0. These findings indicate that fluoride can effectively be removed from drinking water using modified mushroom cultivation waste biomass.

In this paper, the calculation software HSC indium mine under vacuum carbothermal reduction reaction during the Gibbs free energy. The result show that when the pressure of 10-100Pa and temperature is 380-449K, In2O3 and C reaction to reaction thermodynamic conditions under pressure from the same system, material In2O3: C mole ratio is 1:3, needed to generate elemental In reaction temperature is the lowest. In2O3 generated In2O thermal decomposition, with the loss of the system pressure, the initial reaction temperature from 1247K to 10Pa for 423K; Intermediate In2O pyrolysis generating elemental In, when the system pressure drop to 10 Pa, starting temperature dropped to 781K; InO reaction with products CO, as the system pressure is reduced, the gibbs free energy increase, therefore, step-down to InO reaction with CO. This study to provide experimental evidence for preparation of indium by carbothermic reaction of indium ore in vacuum. A low-cost and highly efficient biosorbent was prepared by loading Al/Fe oxides onto tea waste and was tested for the ability to remove fluoride from drinking water. Key factors, including adsorbent dosage, initial fluoride concentration, contact time and initial pH of the biosorbent, were investigated. It was found that the solution pH played an important role in the removal of fluoride. The biosorbent combinations Tea–Al or Tea–Al–Fe could reduce the fluoride concentration to below 1.5 mg/L in the drinking water, a level which meets the drinking water standard recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). In addition, the residual concentrations of Al and Fe in the drinking water after Tea–Al–Fe treatment were below the standards set by WHO when treatment was conducted at pH values ranging from 5.0 to 10.0. The experimental data were analyzed using two-parameter theoretical models. The maximum fluoride adsorption capacities for the original tea, Tea–Fe, Tea–Al and Tea–Al–Fe biosorbents were 3.83, 10.47, 13.79 and 18.52 mg/g, respectively. These findings demonstrate the suitability of a prepared biosorbent based on tea waste for the removal of fluoride from drinking water.

A novel and low-cost biosorbent of tea waste supported hydrous aluminium oxide (Tea–APAM–Al) was prepared with help of anionic polyacrylamide (APAM) for highly efficient defluoridation of drinking water. Batch adsorption studies were carried out by varying the adsorbent dosage, initial fluoride concentration, contact time, initial pH, and presence of co-existing ions to evaluate the efficiency of fluoride removal. It was found that Tea–APAM–Al performed well over a considerably wide pH range, from 4.0–9.0. With the exception of bicarbonate, other co-existing ions (nitrate, chloride and sulphate) did not have a significant effect on the defluoridation process. The adsorption process could be described by the Lagergren pseudo-second-order kinetic model. Adsorption data could be fitted by the Langmuir isotherm model and the maximum fluoride adsorption capacity for Tea–APAM–Al was 42.14 mg g−1. The results from SEM, EDS, XRD, FTIR and XPS studies showed that the fluoride adsorption mechanism likely involved hydroxyl and sulfate ion exchange with fluoride. Moreover, fluoride anion exchange with sulfate ions was the main mechanism for fluoride adsorption at low initial fluoride concentration.

Integrated cavity output spectroscopy (ICOS) is a technique used for high sensitive measurement of absorption spectra. In this paper，we introduced the principle of ICOS measurement technology. By analyzing the theory of ICOS technology to effectively absorb the increase of optical path length, get the relationship of the specular reflectance and the selection for the length of cavity to the stability of cavity and detection sensitivity in the designing of experimental facility. We introduced the application of ICOS technology in atmospheric monitoring, medical testing, and industrial process and so on, summed up the role of wavelength modulation and off-axis incidence combined with ICOS on noise suppression. We summed up the advantages and disadvantages of ICOS technology in trace gas detection. At the end of the paper, the trend of ICOS technology was analyzed.

A multi-objective optimization method for the optimization of the efficiency and weight of helicopter transmission planetary gear train was established. Taking the transmission ratio, efficiency weight, and reliability as critical design parameters, taking the conditions of the planetary gear train itself and the strength check constraint for the gear train as constraint functions, making the weight and efficiency of the planetary gear train asoptimization targets and using the Matlab function fgoalattain, a multi-objective optimization has been made. Comparison between the initial and the optimized results showed the success of the optimized planetary gear train in reducing the weight and increasing the efficiency.

The process of preparation of Fe-Si cores is studied, and the influence of different amounts of insulating compounds addition on magnetic properties of the cores is discussed. The results show that the effective permeability is 71.4 when the amount of insulation is 0.5wt%. When the content is increased to 2.5wt%, the DC Bias characteristic becomes the best. When the insulating compounds addition is 2.5wt%, the sample has the lowest power loss, which is 308.4 mW/cm3at f=50 kHz and B=50 mT.

The aesthetic education and its application to engineering education and personality development are considered in this paper. First, we investigate main reasons causing the weakness of the aesthetic aspect in engineering education. Next, we analyze the important roles of aesthetic education to help cultivate the healthy personality. Finally, we propose concrete strategies of incorporating the aesthetics into the engineering education and the personality development for university students, which are expected to be helpful to improve the effectiveness of the higher education.

In this paper, an intelligent monitoring management system of tower crane is designed based on PLC and WinCC. As the core of tower crane electrical control unit, PLC processes the data from sensors and transmits the operation parameters to WinCC configuration screens for real-time display. The system can give the alarm when overweight, high torque or too large inclination happens, and anti-collision self-learning function is added in the system. The experiments prove that the system can play a good role in tower crane safety protection.

Felsic veins within the Xitieshan UHP eclogite in North Qaidam, NW China vary from 1 cm or less to several decimetres in width, exhibiting coarse granular in texture and heterogeneous distribution in mineral assemblages. They encircle or cut the deformed sub-lentoid eclogite body. Some fine veins extended into and ended in the eclogite, without visible link to their country rocks. They consist mainly of feldspar and quartz with minor amounts of muscovite, biotite and amphibole. To constrain their formation age, the conditions and source of vein-forming fluid/melt, and the relationship between the veins and host UHP eclogite, a combined study of zircon U–Pb dating and mineral inclusions was carried out on the felsic veins and their host eclogite. Zircon grains from the felsic veins are perfectly euhedral with zonations, characterized by very low Th/U ratios and steep HREE patterns without Eu anomalies. These zircons contain micro-inclusions of plagioclase, muscovite, garnet and quartz, which are consistent with mineral assemblage of the veins except for garnet captured from the host eclogite, indicating that these zircons crystallized during the veining. LA-ICPMS U–Pb dating yielded a weighted mean 206 Pb/ 238 U age of 428 ± 2 Ma, representing the formation age of veins. Zircon grains from the host eclogite are oval to round with homogeneous and/or cloudy internal-structure; residual core can be observed locally. They contain eclogite–facies micro-inclusions of garnet, omphacite, rutile and kyanite in metamorphic domains. LA-ICPMS U–Pb dating gave a metamorphic age of 458 ± 2 Ma. Geochemical analyses show that the felsic veins are tonalitic with high Na/K ratios, high Sr contents but low Y and Yb contents, and LREE-enriched patterns, consistent with partial melting of omphacite in eclogite at elevated pressures. Therefore, the felsic veins were most likely derived from partial melting of the host UHP eclogite. There is a considerable difference of about 30 Myr in zircon U–Pb age between the UHP eclogite–facies metamorphism and the felsic veining, indicating that the partial melting took place in the exhumation stage of the UHP terrain.

The 0.05%Gd3+ /0.4%Eu3+ co-doped TiO2 composite nanopowders have been prepared by sol-gel method and characterized by the techniques such as XRD, SEM/EDAX. The photocatalytic degradation of Methylene blue in aqueous solution was used as a probe reaction to evaluate their photocatalytic activity. The results show that the 0.05%Gd3+ /0.4%Eu3+ co-doped TiO2 are only structuresd by anatase phase with grain sizes of about 16nm at 540 °C for 4 h. The photocatalutic degradation of Methylene blue was 96.7% in 120 min of irradiation when the pH value was 9.

Based on finite element theory, pillar structure of the model parameters was established, and analyzed its static and dynamic performance. At the same time, the structural deformation of pillar load and deformation characteristics were analyzed. The choosing shape method was used to get the improvements in pillar. The Improved models were done modal analysis, and got their natural frequencies.

With the achievements made in the research of mechanical properties for recycled aggregate concrete, this paper adopts the method of nonlinear finite element to analyze the seismic behavior of frame joints. The frame joints are made of recycled aggregate concrete. It also takes into account the bond behavior between steel bars and recycled aggregate concrete in the core area of the joints, and the force-displacement curve of the joints is calculated. Nonlinear finite element analysis shows that the results of the calculations are in accordance with the test results. It is concluded in this paper that, built models with nonlinear finite element method can be applied in simulating exactly the same seismic behavior of frame joints under low frequency reversed lateral loading.

Aiming at the problem of energy efficiency of smart grid to be promoted, this paper propose a method of analysis of smart grid energy use based on the multi-level energy transfer model. Firstly, analyze the energy use characteristics of public institution, so as to preliminary ascertain the energy consumption systems of public institution. Then, construct public institution multi-level energy transfer model including energy input and energy use, and propose the procedure of analysis of energy efficiency diagnosis based on the model. Finally, carry out instance analysis, so as to verify the effectiveness of research result.

The aim of this study was to determine the levels of fluoride in commercial teas and to estimate the contribution of tea consumption to the fluoride recommended daily allowance. A total of 558 tea products in 6 categories, green tea, black tea, oolong tea, pu'er tea, white tea, and reprocessed tea, were collected in the period from 2010 to 2013. The levels of fluoride in infusions of these teas were determined by a fluoride-ion selective electrode. The mean fluoride level in all of the tea samples was 85.16 mg/kg. For each category of tea, the mean fluoride levels were 63.04, 99.74, 52.19, 101.67, 159.78, and 110.54 mg/kg for green tea, black tea, white tea, pu'er tea, oolong tea, and reprocessed tea, respectively. The fluoride content of tea from 4 tea zones in descending order were Southern tea zone (111.39 mg/kg)Southwest tea zone (78.78 mg/kg)Jiangnan tea zone (71.73 mg/kg)Jiangbei tea zone (64.63 mg/kg). These areas produced teas with lower fluoride levels than available foreign-produced tea (161.11 mg/kg). The mean chronic daily intake (CDI) was 0.02 mg/(kg•day) or 1.27 mg/kg. Generally, consuming tea from these 6 categories does not result in the intake of excessive amounts of fluoride for the general population.

This study aimed to investigate the refractive state and optical compositions of preterm children with and without mild retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and explore the influence of prematurity and mild ROP on the development of refractive state and optical compositions. Preterm children who received fundus screening were recruited, and divided into ROP group and non-ROP group. Term children matched in age were also recruited as controls. Several correspondence indicators were measured before and after ciliary muscle paralysis with 1% cyclopentanone. A total of 250 eyes from 126 patients were included for analysis. The incidence of myopia was the highest in ROP group. The incidence of hyperopia was the highest in control group. The incidence of astigmatism was the highest in ROP group. The corneal astigmatism and mean astigmatism in ROP group and non-ROP group were significantly higher than in control group. Gonadotropins have been widely used in human-assisted reproduction and animal science for the past four decades. However, the effects of gonadotropins on oocyte maturation at the molecular and biochemical levels are poorly understood. To determine the effects of gonadotropins (recombinant follicle stimulating hormone and urinary human menopausal gonadotropin) on oocyte maturation, we used the bovine oocyte in vitro maturation model. First, we studied the effects of increasing gonadotropin concentrations on nuclear maturation and mitochondrial function in oocytes. Gonadotropins at concentrations of 0.075 and 0.75 IU/ml improved nuclear maturation and increased inner mitochondrial membrane potential and ATP levels; however, there were no beneficial effects at concentrations of 7.5 and 75 IU/ml. Second, we studied the effects of increasing gonadotropin concentrations on the status of methylation in matured (MII) oocytes. Aberrant methylation and demethylation of H19, SNRPN, and PEG3 genes were observed in MII oocytes at all concentrations except 0.075 IU/ml. The expression of genes that function in spindle formation, cell cycle control, and methylation was also downregulated by high gonadotropin concentrations. In conclusion, we established the optimal gonadotropin concentration (i.e., 0.075 IU/ml) to be used for bovine oocyte in vitro maturation studies. These results may provide a guide for clinical stimulation protocols and help to reduce the risks associated with gonadotropin administration during in vitro fertilization treatment.

Recent years, people increasingly focus on the aesthetic quality of mass products, as well as their utility, so it is necessary to strengthen the aesthetic education in poly technical universities. Unfortunately, it is remarkable that so little attention has been given by scholars to the aesthetics in engineering education. This paper considers aesthetic education and its application to engineering education and personality development. First, two main reasons that cause the weakness of the aesthetic aspect in engineering education are investigated. Second, the important roles of aesthetic education to help cultivate the healthy personality are analyzed. Finally, this paper proposes concrete strategies of incorporating the aesthetics into the engineering education and the personality development for university students, which are expected to be helpful to improve the effectiveness of the higher education.

The purpose of this paper is mainly to detect the sample of polluted river by means of microwave, and may determine what pollutants the surface water contains and the concentrations of pollutants by using various pollutants to estimate the different absorption and attenuation of electromagnetic wave and by the data tables and related conclusions obtained by the timely monitoring system of electromagnetic wave and a large number of experiments. Then considering the combination of Matrix VB & VB as a experimental platform and by fitting experimental data based on the method of date fitting, the concentration of pollutants – concentration curves and mathematical model can be obtained.

To identify the single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of the alpha2-Heremans-Schmid glycoprotein (AHSG) gene and assess their association with the AHSG serum level.The SNPs of the AHSG gene were identified from 30 unrelated Han individuals from Guangzhou area by resequencing. Linkage disequilibrium(LD) was performed to observe the linkage disequilibrium pattern. Then tagSNPs were genotyped in 192 Han individuals from Beijing and 424 Han individuals from Guangzhou area. Finally, luciferase reporter gene assay was performed to determine whether the SNPs affected the promoter activity. Serum AHSG concentrations were measured in the 192 subjects from Beijing using ELISA.Eight SNPs were detected in total. The linkage disequilibrium profile in the Guangzhou Han population was different from that in the Beijing Han population. However, the allele and genotype frequencies of tagSNPs between the two Han populations were not significantly different. The reporter gene assay showed that the -799A allele had significantly higher promoter activity than the -799T allele. Multiple regression analysis revealed that only the rs2248690 SNP was an independent contributor to serum AHAG concentration.The rs2248690 SNP in the promoter region of the AHSG gene might affect the AHSG gene transcription.

Combining the gray histogram of images, using the maximal cross-entropy function as the fitness function of Adaptive Genetic Algorithm, adopting Adaptive Genetic Algorithm to search the optimal threshold function, a multi-target image segmentation algorithm is put forward based on the improved PCNN model.It can effectively complete image segmentation, and the results are superior to the Ostu multi-threshold algorithm.

To analyze the effect of interleukin 2 (IL-2) on immunoglobulin G(IgG) expression in cervical cancer cell line HeLaS3.By immunofluorescence-flow cytometry(FCM), we detected membrane and cytoplasmic IgG expression variation of HeLaS3 after IL-2 stimulation. By Western blot, we detected IgG expression variation of HeLaS3 after IL-2 stimulation. Meanwhile, by RT-PCR with primers designed to amplify four subclasses of IgG, we detected Gamma transcript variation in HeLaS3 after IL-2 stimulation at mRNA level.The result of immunofluorescence-FACS showed that after IL-2 stimulation for 48 hours, membrane and cytoplasmic IgG expression elevated in HeLaS3. The result of Western blot showed after IL-2 stimulation for 48 hours, IgG expression elevated in HeLaS3. Meanwhile, the result of RT-PCR showed that Gamma1 transcript mildly elevated after IL-2 stimulation for 48 hours.IL-2 can promote IgG expression in cervical cancer cell line HeLaS3.

To eliminate the odor in drinking water of one City in China, a study was performed on the typical odorant removal technology and removal processes. Its results showed that as typical odorants, ethanethiol was effectively removed by oxidation and geosmin and 2-MIB were removed by both oxidation and adsorption, but geosmin and 2-MIB's adsorption effect was better than oxidation. When thiol and thioether in raw water was less than 20 microg/L, furthermore, there was not any other odorant, potassium permanganate oxidation should be equipped with enhanced coagulations. When geosmin and 2-MIB in raw was less than 30 ng/L, activated carbon adsorption should be equipped with enhanced coagulations. When thiol and thioether in raw water was more than 20 microg/L, or geosmin and 2-MIB was more than 30 ng/L, ozone-activated carbon process should be added after the conventional water treatment process. When thiol and thioether in raw water was more than 150 microg/L, or geosmin and 2-MIB was more than 100 ng/L, preoxidation or adsorption of powder activated carbon at intake should be combined with ozone-activated carbon according to the odorant composing.

A moment method technique for solving obstacle problems in a waveguide is presented. Instead of using a multifilament current representation, which leads to a slowly converging series, a multistrip representation of the current is proposed. In the procedure, the matrix elements are determined by a series involving integrals of mode functions over the strips and the convergence is improved. The true currents on obstacle surfaces are replaced by equivalent planar currents in a number of waveguide cross sections inside the obstacle. The technique is applied to a pair of metallic posts in the TE/sub 11/-mode circular waveguide. Numerical results are compared with experimental data. >
