The development of students is one of the main factors affecting the teaching quality. Therefore, through the investigation of learning psychology, we can find the characteristics of students, help to determine the teaching plan, and carry out the research on the new teaching mode of health professional nursing, so as to teach students according to their aptitude, improve the teaching quality, and meet the requirements of students’ growth and clinical employment. This study has laid a foundation for the teaching reform of nursing major in Higher Vocational Colleges according to students’ characteristics and career growth planning.

The incidence of cervical cancer is expected to rise sharply in China. A reliable routine human papillomavirus (HPV) detection and genotyping test to be supplemented by the limited Papanicolaou cytology facilities is urgently needed to help identify the patients with cervical precancer for preventive interventions. To this end, we evaluated a nested polymerase chain reaction (PCR) protocol for detection of HPV L1 gene DNA in cervicovaginal cells. The PCR amplicons were genotyped by direct DNA sequencing. In parallel, split samples were subjected to a Digene HC2 HPV test which has been widely used for “cervical cancer risk” screen. Of the 1826 specimens, 1655 contained sufficient materials for analysis and 657 were truly negative. PCR/DNA sequencing showed 674 infected by a single high-risk HPV, 188 by a single low-risk HPV, and 136 by multiple HPV genotypes with up to five HPV genotypes in one specimen. In comparison, the HC2 test classified 713 specimens as infected by high-risk HPV, and 942 as negative for HPV infections. The high-risk HC2 test correctly detected 388 (57.6%) of the 674 high-risk HPV isolates in clinical specimens, mislabeled 88 (46.8%) of the 188 low-risk HPV isolates as high-risk genotypes, and classified 180 (27.4%) of the 657 “true-negative” samples as being infected by high-risk HPV. It was found to cross-react with 20 low-risk HPV genotypes. We conclude that nested PCR detection of HPV followed by short target DNA sequencing can be used for screening and genotyping to formulate a paradigm in clinical management of HPV-related disorders in a rapidly developing economy.

To identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in endometriosis and further analyze molecular mechanisms implicated in disease pathogenesis. Gene expression data (ID: GSE7846) of human endometrial endothelial cells (HEECs) collected from eutopic endometria tissue of patients with and without endometriosis were downloaded from Gene Expression Omnibus. DEGs were screened using Limma package, followed by enrichment analysis using clusterProfiler package in R. Thereafter, protein–protein interactions (PPIs) were analyzed using STRING (Search Tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes) database and visualized by Cytoscape software. Meanwhile, transcription factors were screened from the DEGs based on TRANSFA database, followed by construction of regulatory network using Cytoscape. A total of 2255 up- and 408 down-regulated genes were identified in endometriosis patients as compared with control patients. Those DEGs were predominantly enriched in focal adhesion (e.g., FN1, EGF, FYN, EGFR, RAC1, CCND1 and JUN), regulation of actin cytoskeleton (e.g., FN1, EGF, EGFR, RAC1 and JUN) and MAPK signaling pathway (e.g., EGF, EGFR, RAC1, JUN, TGFB1 and MYC). Importantly, EGF, EGFR, JUN, FN1, RAC1, TGFB1, CCND1 and FYN were hub nodes in the PPI network. Additionally, TGFB1, SMAD1 and SMAD4 showed up-regulation in TGFB signaling pathway. Transcription factor MYC had a regulatory effect on the most DEGs, including TGFB1, RAC1 and CCND1. Focal adhesion, regulation of actin cytoskeleton, MAPK and TGFB/SMAD signaling pathway may be important molecular mechanism underlying the pathogenesis of endometriosis.

Due to its important biological function as a key negative regulator of p53, the mouse double minute 2 homologue (MDM2) gene has been extensively studied. A functional variant in the MDM2 gene promoter, single-nucleotide polymorphism 309 (SNP309) T > G (rs2279744), has been reported to cause an increase in MDM2 protein levels and impairment of p53 tumor suppressor activity, which may be associated with the development of cancer. A number of studies were performed to investigate the relationship between this SNP and endometrial cancer. But, the results remain controversial. Thus, we performed a comprehensive meta-analysis to derive a more precise estimation of this susceptibility. There were seven eligible articles with a total of 1,278 patients and 2,189 controls included in the meta-analysis. In the present study, we found significant associations under the allele contrast and recessive model. The G allele was associated with elevated risk for endometrial cancer [allele contrast OR = 1.33, 95 % confidence interval (CI) = 1.12–1.58, P(Z) = 0.0009, P(Q) = 0.02)], while the homozygous GG genotype may also increase the risk of endometrial cancer [OR = 1.88, 95 % CI = 1.40–2.52, P(Z)
