This article mainly focuses on the prospect development of artificial intelligence which may become a fashion trend in the future. This article uses NURO which is a new technology company, creating a delivery vehicle as an example and analysis it from the aspects of business, strategies, and finance by using the SWOT method. Moreover, there are several goals that we are trying to achieve. For instance, NURO's cars should become more sustainable and safer, making effective delivery happens. As a result, if NURO can reach this altitude, there is no competitor left to compete market with NURO. It would not be limited to delivering parcels like necessities or daily products mainly within the community.

The MADS-box gene family is an important family of transcription factors involved in multiple processes, such as plant growth and development, stress, and in particular, flowering time and floral organ development. Almonds are the best-selling nuts in the international fruit trade, accounting for more than 50% of the world’s dried fruit trade, and one of the main economic fruit trees in Kashgar, Xinjiang. In addition, almonds contain a variety of nutrients, such as protein and dietary fiber, which can supplement nutrients for people. They also have the functions of nourishing the yin and kidneys, improving eyesight, and strengthening the brain, and they can be applied to various diseases. However, there is no report on the MADS-box gene family in almond (Prunus dulcis). In this study, a total of 67 PdMADS genes distributed across 8 chromosomes were identified from the genome of almond ‘Wanfeng’. The PdMADS members were divided into five subgroups—Mα, Mβ, Mγ, Mδ, and MIKC—and the members in each subgroup had conserved motif types and exon and intron numbers. The number of exons of PdMADS members ranged from 1 to 20, and the number of introns ranged from 0 to 19. The number of exons and introns of different subfamily members varied greatly. The results of gene duplication analysis showed that the PdMADS members had 16 pairs of segmental duplications and 9 pairs of tandem duplications, so we further explored the relationship between the MADS-box gene members in almond and those in Arabidopsis thaliana, Oryza sativa, Malus domestica, and Prunus persica based on colinear genes and evolutionary selection pressure. The results of the cis-acting elements showed that the PdMADS members were extensively involved in a variety of processes, such as almond growth and development, hormone regulation, and stress response. In addition, the expression patterns of PdMADS members across six floral transcriptome samples from two almond cultivars, ‘Wanfeng’ and ‘Nonpareil’, had significant expression differences. Subsequently, the fluorescence quantitative expression levels of the 15 PdMADS genes were highly similar to the transcriptome expression patterns, and the gene expression levels increased in the samples at different flowering stages, indicating that the two almond cultivars expressed different PdMADS genes during the flowering process. It is worth noting that the difference in flowering time between ‘Wanfeng’ and ‘Nonpareil’ may be caused by the different expression activities of PdMADS47 and PdMADS16 during the dormancy period, resulting in different processes of vernalization. We identified a total of 13,515 target genes in the genome based on the MIKC DNA-binding sites. The GO and KEGG enrichment results showed that these target genes play important roles in protein function and multiple pathways. In summary, we conducted bioinformatics and expression pattern studies on the PdMADS gene family and investigated six flowering samples from two almond cultivars, the early-flowering ‘Wanfeng’ and late-flowering ‘Nonpareil’, for quantitative expression level identification. These findings lay a foundation for future in-depth studies on the mechanism of PdMADS gene regulation during flowering in different almond cultivars.

Ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase (RuBisCo) has long been studied from many perspectives. As a multisubunit (large subunits [LSUs] and small subunits[SSUs]) protein encoded by genes residing in the chloroplast ( rbcL ) and nuclear ( rbcS ) genomes, RuBisCo also is a model for cytonuclear coevolution following allopolyploid speciation in plants. Here, we studied the genomic and transcriptional cytonuclear coordination of auxiliary chaperonin and chaperones that facilitate RuBisCo biogenesis across multiple natural and artificially synthesized plant allopolyploids. We found similar genomic and transcriptional cytonuclear responses, including respective paternal-to-maternal conversions and maternal homeologous biased expression, in chaperonin/chaperon-assisted folding and assembly of RuBisCo in different allopolyploids. One observation is about the temporally attenuated genomic and transcriptional cytonuclear evolutionary responses during early folding and later assembly process of RuBisCo biogenesis, which were established by long-term evolution and immediate onset of allopolyploidy, respectively. Our study not only points to the potential widespread and hitherto unrecognized features of cytonuclear evolution but also bears implications for the structural interaction interface between LSU and Cpn60 chaperonin and the functioning stage of the Raf2 chaperone.

Homoeologous exchange (HE) is a major mechanism generating post-polyploidization genetic variation with important evolutionary consequences. However, the direct impacts of HE without entangling with additional evolutionary forces on gene expression remains to be fully understood. Here, we analyzed high-throughput RNA-seq data of young leaves from individuals of a synthetic allotetraploid wheat (AADD), which contain variable numbers of HEs. We aimed to investigate if and to which extent HE directly impacts gene expression and alternative splicing (AS). We found that HE impacts expression of genes located within HE regions primarily via cis-acting dosage effect, which led to significant changes in the total expression of homoeolog pairs, especially for homoeologs whose original expression was biased. In parallel, HE influences expression of a large amount of genes residing in non-HE regions by trans-regulation leading to convergent expression of homoeolog pairs. Intriguingly, when taking into account of the original relative homoeolog expression states, homoeolog pairs under trans-effect are more prone to showing convergent response to HE whereas those under cis-effect trended to show subgenome-specific expression. Moreover, HE induced quantitative, largely individual-specific, changes of alternative splicing (AS) events. Like homoeologs expression, homoeo-AS events which related to trans effect were more responsive to HE. HE therefore exerts multifaceted immediate effects on gene expression and, to a less extent, also transcript diversity in nascent allopolyploidy.

Non-thermal plasma is a promising technology for high purity nanomaterial synthesis in a fast, flexible and controllable process. Gliding arc discharge, as one of the most efficient non-thermal plasmas, has been widely used in gas treatment but rarely studied for the nanomaterial synthesis. In this study, a comparison study for carbon nanosheets synthesis including toluene dissociation and graphite exfoliation was investigated in a 2D gliding arc reactor at atmospheric pressure. The effects of gas flow rate, precursor concentration and power input on the structures of carbon nanosheets produced through the two synthesis routes were explored and compared. Amorphous carbon nanosheets were produced in both approaches with a few crystalline structures formation in the case of toluene dissociation. The thickness of carbon nanosheets synthesized from graphite exfoliation was less than 3 nm, which was thinner and more uniform than that from toluene dissociation. The flow rate of carrier gas has direct influence on the morphology of carbon nanomaterials in the case of toluene dissociation. Carbon spheres were also produced along with nanosheets when the flow rate decreased from 2 to 0.5 L/min. However, in the case of graphite exfoliation, only carbon nanosheets were observed regardless of the change in flow rate of the carrier gas. The generated chemical species and plasma gas temperatures were measured and estimated for the mechanism study, respectively.

Whitening cosmetics have a large market scale and broad development prospects, while whitening products of traditional Chinese medicine have always been a research hotspot. In this study, the whitening active extract of Platycodon grandiflorum (PGE) was isolated and purified for the first time, and the whitening activity mechanism and chemical composition of PGE were elucidated. A total of 45 components were identified via high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS) analysis, including arbutin, syringin, chlorogenic acid, platycoside E, platycodin D3, baicalin, platycodin D, and luteolin. The scavenging rates of PGE toward DPPH and ABTS free radicals were 98.03% and 84.30%, respectively. The inhibition rate of PGE toward tyrosinase was up to 97.71%. The PGE had significant anti-inflammatory effects on RAW264.7 macrophages stimulated by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and had significant inhibition effects on tyrosinase and melanin generation of B16F10 cells stimulated by α-MSH. The results showed that the PGE achieved a synergistic whitening effect by inhibiting the activation of oxygen free radicals on tyrosinase, antioxidation, anti-inflammatory effect, enzyme activity, and melanin generation. As a whitening agent extracted from natural plants, PGE has great potential in the research and development of plant whitening cosmetics, which lays a foundation for the further development and utilization of Platycodon grandiflorum resources and also provides a theoretical basis for the development of green and organic whitening cosmetics.

The MYB transcription factors comprise one of the largest superfamilies in plants that have been implicated in the regulation of plant-specific metabolites and responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. Here, we present the first comprehensive genome-wide analysis and functional characterization of the CtMYB family in Carthamus tinctorius. A total of 272 CtMYBs were identified and classified into 12 subgroups using comparative phylogenetic analysis with Arabidopsis and rice orthologs. The overview of conserved motifs, gene structures, and cis elements as well as the expression pattern of CtMYB genes indicated the diverse roles of these transcription factors during plant growth, regulation of secondary metabolites, and various abiotic stress responses. The subcellular localization and transactivation analysis of four CtMYB proteins indicated predominant localization in the nuclei with enhanced transcriptional activation in yeast. The expression of CtMYB63 induced with various abiotic stress conditions showed upregulation in its transcription level. In addition, the expression analysis of the core structural genes of anthocyanin biosynthetic pathway under drought and cold stress in CtMYB63 overexpressed transgenic lines also supports the notion of CtMYB63 transcriptional reprogramming in response to abiotic stress by upregulating the anthocyanin biosynthesis. Together, our findings revealed the underlying regulatory mechanism of CtMYB TF network involving enhanced cold and drought stress tolerance through activating the rapid biosynthesis of anthocyanin in C. tinctorius. This study also presents useful insights towards the establishment of new strategies for crop improvements.

Semen Ziziphi Spinosae (Ziziphus jujuba Mill. var. spinosa (Bunge) Hu ex H. F. Chou) is a functional food and a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in China. Herein, Semen Ziziphi Spinosae protein (SZSP) was prepared by an alkaline extraction and acid precipitation method, of which the structural, physicochemical, functional and emulsion properties were investigated. Results showed that SZSP contained an ideal amino acid composition. The structural properties of the proteins were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), relative fluorescence and circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy analysis. The electrophoresis profiles showed that the main molecular weight of the protein components was about 10–40 kDa and contained some glycoproteins. Differential scanning calorimetry analysis indicated that the denaturation temperature of SZSP was 110.5 °C. The functional properties showed that SZSP has good water and oil absorption capacity, high emulsifying ability and foaming stability. The overall results suggest that SZSP is a promising protein source for the functional food industry.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental disease associated with the exposure of traumatic stress, and results in the structural and functional changes of hippocampus. Calcineurin (CaN), a calcium/calmodulin-regulated protein phosphatase ubiquitously expressed in brain, has a very important role in the fear extinction, neuronal structure and neuronal excitability. With CaN activation, its down target nuclear factor of activated T cells (NFATs) dephosphorylated and then translocated from the cytoplasm to the nucleus to affect neuronal function, resulting in the function changes of brain structure such as hippocampus. Increasing evidence has suggested that CaN/NFATs signaling are involved in the regulation of mental disorders like Alzheimer's disease, depression, while little is known about its effects on the molecular mechanisms on PTSD. This study seek to know the relationship between PTSD and CaN/NFATc4 pathway, and to detect whether CaN/NFATc4 pathway are involved in the hippocampus dysfunctions in a single-prolonged stress (SPS)-based rat model of PTSD. Our results have showed that after 4 days exposed to SPS, the protein expression of CaN up-regulated and the NFATc4 dephosphorylated and imported into the nucleus; while at the 7 and 14 day exposed to SPS, with the down-regulation of CaN, the expression of phosphorylate-NFATc4 increased. Our results show that CaN/NFATc4 pathway were involved in the development of PTSD model, which suggested that the changes of CaN/NFATc4 pathway may be one of the pathological molecular mechanism in the dysfunction of hippocampus in PTSD.

In the present study, a plasma-electrochemical method was demonstrated for the synthesis of europium doped ceria nanoparticles. Ce(NO 3 ) 3 · 6H 2 O and Eu(NO 3 ) 3 · 5H 2 O were used as the starting materials and being dissolved in the distilled water as the electrolyte solution. The plasma-liquid interaction process was in-situ investigated by an optical emission spectroscopy, and the obtained products were characterized by complementary analytical methods. Results showed that crystalline cubic CeO 2 :Eu 3+ nanoparticles were successfully obtained, with a particle size in the range from 30 to 60 nm. The crystal structure didn’t change during the calcination at a temperature from 400°C to 1000°C, with the average crystallite size being estimated to be 52 nm at 1000°C. Eu 3+ ions were shown to be effectively and uniformly doped into the CeO 2 lattices. As a result, the obtained nanophosphors emit apparent red color under the UV irradiation, which can be easily observed by naked eye. The photoluminescence spectrum further proves the downshift behavior of the obtained products, where characteristic 5 D 0 → 7 F 1,2,3 transitions of Eu 3+ ions had been detected. Due to the simple, flexible and environmental friendly process, this plasma-electrochemical method should have great potential for the synthesis of a series of nanophosphors, especially for bio-application purpose. Carbon dots have recently emerged and gained much interest as a new class of carbon nanomaterials especially suited for biological applications owing to their characteristic advantages such as non-toxicity, bio-compatibility, and element abundance. In this study, a fast and effective method was developed for the synthesis of fluorescent carbon dots by microplasma technology, at atmospheric pressure, using isopropanol as the only reactant. Characterizations of the synthesized carbon dots including the investigation of their structure, morphology and optical properties were performed. The results show that the carbon dots produced have a narrow size distribution (average diameter of 1.78 nm) and are amorphous and graphitic in nature. The photoluminescent study indicates that the carbon dots present an excitation-dependent emission property with the excitation wavelengths in a range of 310–410 nm. The high density electrons produced by microplasma induce the chemical reactions and accelerate the formation process of functional groups doped carbon dots.

Increasing awareness of the potentially harmful impacts of nanomaterials on human health has led to a high demand for low-toxicity lanthanide (Ln)-doped nanophosphors in life science fields. The present study introduces a conceptually new approach based on a microplasma technique to produce high quality crystalline lanthanide doped nanophosphors. By selecting Eu 3+ doped yttria as a model for study, systematic experiments are carried out to synthesize Y 2 O 3 :Eu 3+ nanophosphors of controllable size and various Eu 3+ doping concentrations. The plasma-liquid interaction and the obtained products are examined by complementary analytical methods. Results demonstrate that ultra-high purity crystalline Y 2 O 3 :Eu 3+ nanophosphors can be successfully prepared from merely an aqueous solution of Y(NO 3 ) 3 ·6H 2 O and Eu(NO 3 ) 3 ·6H 2 O at an extremely low plasma power consumption (3-5.5 W), without involving any hazardous chemicals. Moreover, the Eu 3+ ions prove to be efficiently and homogeneously doped into the yttria matrix, and their luminescence performance can be tuned to a large extent by adjusting the processing conditions. Due to the high degree of flexibility, this approach can be readily expanded to the green synthesis and engineering of various lanthanide doped/co-doped nanophosphors.

S-phase kinase-associated protein 1 ( Skp1 ) is a component of the SKP1-Cullin1-F-box (SCF) complex, which facilitates ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation in eukaryotes. SLF interacting Skp1-like 1 ( SSK1 ), which is located outside the S-site, is a newly discovered type of self-incompatibility-related pollen-specific gene whose product interacts with pollen determinants. In this study, we identified 18 members of the Prunus dulcis Skp1 (PsdSkp1) family that were unevenly distributed across six chromosomes of the almond genome. The phylogenetic tree revealed that the PsdSkp1 members could divided into four groups: I, II, III, and IV. The conserved motifs, conserved domains, and motif structures of the PsdSSK1 and PsdSkp1-12 proteins are similar. There were three pairs of fragment duplication genes and one pair of tandem repeat genes, and their functions were highly evolutionarily conserved. Transcriptome data showed that PsdSkp1 was expressed in almond flower tissues, that its expression was affected by freezing stress, and that its expression changed significantly in cross-pollination. Molecular experiments proved that PsdSSK1 and PsdSkp1-12 had the same protein sequence, and the genes were significantly highly expressed mainly in the pollen or throughout pollen cells, with subcellular localization in the cytoplasm. PsdSkp1-12 is an ssk1 gene in almond, and it may be involved in the SCF complex to regulate the almond pollen response via SI and cross-compatibility. In conclusion, our research lays a foundation for future functional research on PsdSkp1 members, especially for exploring the mechanism of almond SI.

Filipendula palmata (Pall.) Maxim. remains unexplored and underutilized resources with a high potential to improve human health. In this study, a new ursane-type triterpenoid, namely, 2α, 3β-dihydroxyurs-12-en-28-aldehyde (compound 10), and other 23 known compounds were isolated. 5 triterpenoids (compounds 6, 8, and 10–12), 11 flavonoids (compounds 13–15 and 17–24), 6 phenolic compounds (compounds 1, 2, 4, 5, 9, and 16), 2 sterols (compounds 3 and 7) were isolated from the aqueous solution extract of the aerial parts of F. palmata. The structures of all compounds were elucidated by the use of extensive spectroscopic methods such as infrared spectroscopy (IR), high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HR-ESI-MS), 1H-NMR, and 13C-NMR. The solvent extractions of ethyl acetate fraction were evaluated for antioxidant activities using DPPH (2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) and ABTS+ (2, 2′-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)) methods. The anti-inflammatory effects of the compounds were evaluated in lipopolysaccharide- (LPS-) stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages. The extract cytotoxicity on the cancer cell lines MCF-7, HeLa, 4T1, and A549 was determined by MTT assay. As a result, compounds 10, 11, and 12 exhibited better antioxidant activity compared to the other compounds. Compounds 8–24 had different inhibitory effects on the release of NO, TNF-α, and IL-6 in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. The new compound has shown a significant inhibiting effect on cancer cells, and the cell inhibition rate increased in a dose-dependent manner. Further research to elucidate the chemical compositions and pharmacological effects of F. palmata is of major importance towards the development and foundation of clinical application of the species.

Recombination between homeologous chromosomes, also known as homeologous exchange (HE), plays a significant role in shaping genome structure and gene expression in interspecific hybrids and allopolyploids of several plant species. However, the molecular mechanisms that govern HEs are not well understood. Here, we studied HE events in the progeny of a nascent allotetraploid (genome AADD) derived from two diploid progenitors of hexaploid bread wheat using cytological and whole-genome sequence analyses. In total, 37 HEs were identified and HE junctions were mapped precisely. HEs exhibit typical patterns of homologous recombination hotspots, being biased toward low-copy, subtelomeric regions of chromosome arms and showing association with known recombination hotspot motifs. But, strikingly, while homologous recombination preferentially takes place upstream and downstream of coding regions, HEs are highly enriched within gene bodies, giving rise to novel recombinant transcripts, which in turn are predicted to generate new protein fusion variants. To test whether this is a widespread phenomenon, a dataset of high-resolution HE junctions was analyzed for allopolyploid Brassica , rice, Arabidopsis suecica , banana, and peanut. Intragenic recombination and formation of chimeric genes was detected in HEs of all species and was prominent in most of them. HE thus provides a mechanism for evolutionary novelty in transcript and protein sequences in nascent allopolyploids.

We present an innovative approach for reacting carbon dioxide and water to give syngas by combining heterogeneous catalysis and non-thermal plasma techniques. This approach utilizes an abundant water and nickel catalyst, and mitigates the thermodynamic penalty by using a Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) plasma reactor. Argon dilution was used in the experiment to reduce the exothermic recombination of hydrogen and oxygen, which is considered as the major hurdle for H2O conversion. As a result, the syngas ratio was dramatically improved from 0.07 to 0.86. In addition, the conversions of CO2 and H2O were improved by packing Ni/γ–Al2O3 catalysts into the DBD reactor. The yields of H2 and CO were up to 13.8% and 5.6% respectively. The conditions for plasma catalysis and the catalyst characterization are presented and discussed.

Primary frequency regulation capability of the wind turbine generators is an appealing topic in order to consider safe increasing of the wind power integration into power grids. This study introduces improvements in the primary frequency contribution of the grid-connected variable speed wind turbine generators, which operate under de-loaded conditions. A new dynamic droop control approach based on the fuzzy logic system is proposed. In this control approach, the droop setting is continuously adjusted in response to the de-loaded rotor speed, the frequency deviation, and the rate of change of frequency. In addition, a new dynamic de-loading technique based on the Sugeno-Fuzzy inference system is proposed where the de-loading percentage of the wind turbine generator is decided continuously according to the frequency deviation. The effectiveness of the proposed dynamic de-loading and dynamic droop control approaches is verified through extensive comparative studies. The simulation results confirmed that the proposed control approaches have the ability to provide transient and steady-state power-sharing and improve effectively the frequency stabilisation of the power system within the stable and secure limits of the wind turbine.

Walking has been actively advocated as a simple and effective means to boost individuals' physical activity levels. Comfort, as one of walking needs, is also the major objectives for many street design guidelines and walking audit tools. However, a few studies only identified the major environmental factors in a piecemeal manner without providing an integrated view on pedestrian comfort for recreational walking. This study aimed to identify the major micro- and built environmental factors and reveal their relative importance. 420 questionnaire responses with concurrently monitored micro-environmental conditions were analyzed to formulate a path model that portrayed the interrelationships between pedestrian comfort, and perceptual and objectively measured street built and micro-environmental characteristics. Our results showed that pedestrian comfort could be directly evaluated by pedestrians' satisfaction of built environment, thermal sensation, perceived air quality and loudness. The influence of satisfaction of built environment alone was found to be comparable to the aggregate influences of thermal sensation, perceived air quality and loudness. Thermal sensation, perceived air quality and loudness were found to mediate the associations between objectively measured parameters and individual recreational walking comfort respectively. The findings provide valuable insights for urban planners to improve the comfort level of recreational walking in streets.

The potential impacts of environmentally accumulated zinc oxide nanoparticles (nZnOs) on plant growth have not been well studied. A transcriptome profile analysis of maize exposed to nZnOs showed that the genes in the shoots and roots responded differently. Although the number of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in the roots was greater than that in the shoots, the number of up- or down-regulated genes in both the shoots and roots was similar. The enrichment of gene ontology (GO) terms was also significantly different in the shoots and roots. The "nitrogen compound metabolism" and "cellular component" terms were specifically and highly up-regulated in the nZnO-exposed roots, whereas the categories "cellular metabolic process", "primary metabolic process" and "secondary metabolic process" were down-regulated in the exposed roots only. Our results revealed the DEG response patterns in maize shoots and roots after nZnO exposure.

Flavonoids are a distinctive class of phenolic compounds known to be involved in plant growth, development and floral pigmentation. During the natural phenylalanine pathway, dihydroflavonol-4-reductase is the first committed enzyme that catalyzes the stereo-specific reduction of dihydroflavonols into leucoanthocyanidins.Howsoever, less attention has been given to studies explaining the evolution and function of dihydroflavonol-4-reductases in Carthamus tinctorius L. This study explains the first comprehensive genome-wide identification and functional characterization of putative dihydroflavonol 4-reductase in Carthamus tinctorius L. Altogether, 20 CtCYP45082C enzyme encoding genes have been identified in the Carthamus tinctorius genome. Phylogeney analysis revealed the clustering of CtCYP45082C sequences into five major clades illustrating the significant effects of evolutionary divergence across the plant kingdom. Further in silico analyses indicated that all enzyme-encoding CtCYP45082Cs contain fundamental cis-regulatory units and protein domains/motifs that are specifically conserved throughout eukaryotic CYP450 s. In addition, the transient expression of CtCYP45082C1 fused with green fluorescent protein in onion epidermal cells and tobacco leaves confirmed a clearly distinct subcellular localization to plasma membrane. Biochemical characterization of CtCYP45082C1 using the heterologous protein expression assay indicated that CtCYP45082C1 effectively catalyzes the reduction of cis-3,4-leucopelargonidin and dihydromyricetin in leucoanthocyanidin biosynthesis. Moreover, the transcript expression of 20 Carthamus tinctorius derived CYP45082C genes has also been analyzed by real-time quantitative PCR. Each mRNA transcript was detected, in general, in all the investigated tissues, but with different patterns except for CtCYP45082C17-20, indicating the potential role of CtCYP45082C gene family in the secondary metabolite biosynthesis of Carthamus tinctorius. Additionally, the expression of CtCYP45082C1 and two downstream flavonoid pathway regulatory genes following induction of methyl jasmonate, cold, H202 and heat irradiation suggested that mRNA expressions of CtCYP45082C1, CtCHI and CtFLS are susceptible to various environmental changes. This study provides meaningful insights for further functional characterization studies of the CtCYP45082C encoding enzymes which may also be involved in biosynthesis of flavonoids.

In this study, an effective approach was presented for the synthesis of N-doped carbon dots via a microplasma-assisted process at atmospheric pressure. The effects of operation parameters on the surface groups and photoluminescence (PL) property of carbon dots were studied in detail. Nitrogen element was successfully doped as N H group and pyrrolic–like structure in the carbon dots. The morphology, structures, chemical compositions and photoluminescence properties of N-doped carbon dots were systematically characterized. The generated chemical species and mechanism were monitored and studied by optical emission spectroscopy. The synthesized particles owned excitation-dependent emission property with a quantum yield up to 9.90%. The plasma treatment time and operating voltage affect the carbonization degree, doping state of nitrogen and particle size, resulting in different PL behaviours. The variation of electrode sizes has slight effects on the yield of N-doped carbon dots from 0.31% to 0.42% owing to the differences in electron density.

Nuclear power plant is a highly safety required system which has multi- operating condition in different power mode, and it requires a more advanced technology to realize condition monitoring. To improve the condition monitoring techniques, a mixed condition monitoring method based on sparse autoencoder and isolation forest is proposed to realize the condition monitoring of nuclear power plant, where sparse autoencoder is responsible for data feature extraction and dimensionality reduction, and isolation forest is responsible for the anomaly monitoring of nuclear power plant. The proposed method can transform high-dimensional data into a low-dimensional space, remove the redundancy of the data, and then identify the state through a high-performance monitoring model, thereby improving monitoring efficiency and accuracy. In order to expound the performance of the condition monitoring model proposed in this paper, we select one operating condition and two operating conditions for testing. We also obtained the condition monitoring results of local outlier factor and one-class support vector machine to compare with our method. From the results, it can be known that sparse autoencoder can extract the nature of operating data, and monitoring accuracy of 100% and 98% can be achieved under one operating condition and two operating conditions by isolation forest method, respectively. Compared with other methods, the proposed method has obvious advantages. This research has important implications for the condition monitoring of nuclear power plant and the system with multi-operating conditions.

Coordinating control strategies of DC grid include master slave control, voltage margin control and voltage droop control, etc. Droop control could achieve several DC voltage control of DC grid, but the droop coefficients would impact on the dynamic voltage stability of the system. In this paper, modular multilevel converters (MMCs) based DC grid is the main study object. Firstly, the DC side voltage control system model and its transfer functions of the MMCs with droop control are derived. Then, a reasonable value range of droop coefficients that would maintain the system stability is presented by Routh criterion. And the influences of selection of droop coefficients in different ranges on voltage stability are analyzed. Finally, a four-terminal DC grid model is established on PSCAD/EMTDC, and the influence on voltage adjustment and stability of DC grid under different droop coefficients is simulated and analyzed. The simulation results verified the correctness of the theoretical analysis.

With the construction and development of UHVDC transmission system, the problem of insufficient dynamic reactive power reserve of the power grid is becoming increasingly prominent. As a typical UHVDC weak sending side, the short-circuit capacity of Jarud sending-end system is small, which causes high pressure on voltage stability in short-term failures. The introduction of new-type synchronous condensers will effectively improve the power system voltage stability. In this paper, Lugu UHVDC system is investigated. Firstly, the general situation of Jarud sending-end system and the demands for dynamic reactive power compensation are introduced. Then, the technical characteristics of the new-type condenser are analyzed starting from the performance improvement on subtransient, transient and steady state. Finally, simulation models of the condenser and Lugu UHVDC transmission system are built in PSCAD/EMTDC and are used to demonstrate. The effects of the new-type condenser on the system voltage are simulated and verified under the AC-side short circuit, the commutation failure and the bipolar blocking. And the impact of condenser on voltage stability of sending-end system is analyzed.

Pleurotus tuoliensis (Bailinggu, designated Pt) and P. eryngii var. eryngii (Xingbaogu, designated Pe) are highly valued edible mushrooms. We report de novo assemblies of high-quality genomes for both mushrooms based on PacBio RS II sequencing and annotation of all identified genes. A comparative genomics analysis between Pt and Pe with P. ostreatus as an outgroup taxon revealed extensive genomic divergence between the two mushroom genomes primarily due to the rapid gain of taxon-specific genes and disruption of synteny in either taxon. The re-appraised phylogenetic relationship between Pt and Pe at the genome-wide level validates earlier proposals to designate Pt as an independent species. Variation of the identified wood-decay-related gene content can largely explain the variable adaptation and host specificity of the two mushrooms. On the basis of the two assembled genome sequences, methylomes and the regulatory roles of DNA methylation in gene expression were characterized and compared. The genome, methylome and transcriptome data of these two important mushrooms will provide valuable information for advancing our understanding of the evolution of Pleurotus and related genera and for facilitating genome- and epigenome-based strategies for mushroom breeding.
