To investigate the effects of different slaughter ages on the meat quality, intramuscular fat content and muscular long-chain fatty acid content of the Longissimus dorsi (LD) muscle of Xianan cattle (Bos taurus), newborn, 12-month-old and 24-month-old Xianan cattle (three bulls of each age with similar body mass) were slaughtered to measure meat quality indexes of Longissimus dorsi including pH, cooking loss, drip loss and shear force. Oil red O stained sections were prepared and examined. Triglyceride (TG) levels and intramuscular fat content were detected, and the composition of medium-chain and long-chain fatty acids in the muscle was analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The results showed that the pH of the LD of 12-month-old cattle was significantly higher than that of newborn cattle (P < 0.05), and the cooking loss of the LD of newborn cattle was significantly higher than that of 24-month-old cattle (P < 0.05). The linoleic acid content in the LD of 24-month-old cattle was significantly higher than that in newborn and 12-month-old cattle (P < 0.01). The arachidonic acid content in the LD of cattle aged 12 and 12 months was significantly higher than that in newborn cattle (P < 0.05). The total polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) content in the LD of 24-month-old cattle was higher than that in newborn and 12-month-old cattle. In this study, there were no significant differences in the drip loss and shear force of the LD among cattle of different ages. In terms of intramuscular fat content and long-chain fatty acid composition, it is suggested that the meat of 24-month-old cattle is more in line with human health standards.

Polycrystalline CsPbBr3 perovskite materials exhibit exemplary stability, and desirable optoelectronic characteristics are promising for direct X‐ray detection. In this study, polycrystalline 2D phase of CsPb2Br5 hinged on CsPbBr3 is investigated for X‐ray array detector. The incorporation of CsPb2Br5 will modify the carrier transport environment, acting as an amplification factor that significantly enhances carrier mobility and response sensitivity. Finally, the devices demonstrates excellent performance growth. Carrier mobility of CsPbBr3 is improved by a significant 2 orders of magnitude, leading to the sensitivity increased from 2.64 × 104 to 2.58 × 105 µC Gyair−1 cm−2 at a bias voltage of 25 V mm−1. Even at a low bias voltage of 2 V mm−1, still got the value of 3.075 × 103 µC Gyair−1 cm−2, accompanied by a notable increase in the minimum detection limit of 127.9 nGyair s−1 at 0.5 V. Furthermore, a high modulation transfer function (MTF) of 1.57 lp mm−1 is obtained, and achieved a clear and high contrast X‐ray imaging with 64 × 64 TFT board. The perovskite exhibits outstanding light stability (RH ≈ 70 ± 5%) in the atmosphere following the introduction of 2D phase. Alternative splicing is a ubiquitous regulatory mechanism in gene expression that allows a single gene to generate multiple messenger RNAs (mRNAs). Adipocyte development is regulated by many processes, and recent studies have found that splicing factors also play an important role in adipogenic development. In the present study, we further investigated the differences in selective shearing during different periods of adipocyte differentiation. We identified five alternative splicing types including skipped exon, mutually exclusive exon, Alternative 5′ splice site, Alternative 3′ splice site, and Retained intron, with skipped exons being the most abundant type of selective shearing. In total, 641 differentially expressed selective shearing genes were obtained, enriched in 279 pathways, from which we selected and verified the accuracy of the sequencing results. Overall, RNA-seq revealed changes in the splicing and expression levels of these new candidate genes between precursor adipocytes and adipocytes, suggesting that they may be involved in adipocyte generation and differentiation. Remanufacturing, with its environmental and economic implications, is gaining significant traction in the contemporary industry. Owing to the complementarity between remanufacturing process planning and scheduling in actual remanufacturing systems, the integrated remanufacturing process planning and scheduling (IRPPS) model provides researchers and practitioners with a favorable direction to improve the performance of remanufacturing systems. However, a comprehensive exploration of the IRPPS model under uncertainties has remained scant, largely attributable to the high complexity stemming from the intrinsic uncertainties of the remanufacturing environment. To address the above challenge, this study proposes a new IRPPS model that operates under such uncertainties. Specifically, the proposed model utilizes interval numbers to represent the uncertainty of processing time and develops a process planning approach that integrates various failure modes to effectively address the uncertain quality of defective parts during the remanufacturing process. To facilitate the resolution of the proposed model, this study proposes an extended non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II with a new multi-dimensional representation scheme, in which, a new self-adaptive strategy, multiple genetic operators, and a new local search strategy are integrated to improve the algorithmic performance. Coprophagy prevention (CP) affects the growth performance, hepatic lipid synthesis, and gut microbiota in rabbits. Supplementation with Clostridium butyricum (C. butyricum, Strain number: CCTCC M 2019962) has been found to improve growth performance in rabbits. However, it remains unknown whether C. butyricum can ameliorate the effects of CP on hepatic lipid synthesis and the underlying mechanisms are yet to be elucidated. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the impact of CP on hepatic lipid synthesis and the underlying mechanism based on the gut–liver axis. The findings revealed that supplementation with C. butyricum could reverse CP-related growth performance, lipid accumulation, bile acid synthesis, and inflammation. Furthermore, C. butyricum exerted protective effects on the gut by preserving intestinal barrier integrity and modulating gut microbiota composition; these factors may represent potential mechanisms through which C. butyricum improves CP-related outcomes. Specifically, C. butyricum reshaped the microbiota by increasing butyric acid levels, thereby maintaining secondary bile acid (deoxycholic acid, chenodeoxycholic acid) balance and attenuating the inhibitory effects of the FXR/SHP pathway on lipid synthesis (SREBP1c/ApoA1). Moreover, the activation of butyrate/GPR43pathway by C. butyricum reduced damage to the intestinal barrier (ZO-1/Occludin/Claudin1) and restored the gut immune microenvironment in CP rabbits. In summary, supplementation with C. butyricum can alleviate the adverse effects of CP on growth performance and hepatic lipid synthesis by modulating the gut–liver axis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Adipose triglyceride lipase (ATGL) is the key enzyme for the degradation of triacylglycerols (TAGs). It functions in concert with other enzymes to mobilize TAG and supply fatty acids (FAs) for energy production. Dysregulated lipolysis leads to excess concentrations of circulating FAs, which may lead to destructive and lipotoxic effects to the organism. To understand the role of ATGL in mammary lipid metabolism, ATGL was overexpressed in goat mammary epithelial cells (GMECs) by using a recombinant adenovirus system. ATGL overexpression decreased lipid droplet (LD) accumulation and cellular TG content (p < 0.05) along with a decrease in the expression of the key enzyme that catalyzes the final step of TG synthesis (DGAT). Significant increases were observed in the expression of genes related to lipolysis (hormone-sensitive lipase [HSL]) and FA desaturation (SCD) by ATGL overexpression. Genes responsible for FA oxidation (PPARα), LD formation and secretion (ADRP and BTN1A1), and long-chain FA uptake (CD36) were all decreased by ATGL overexpression (p < 0.05). The primary products of TAG lipolysis, free FAs (FFAs), were notably increased in the ATGL-overexpressing cells.
