Abstract

Abstract In recent years, with the rapid development of mobile communication networks, some new services such as cloud virtual reality, holographic communication, and etc. continue to emerge. Service composition has been researched in cloud computing. however, as the fast development of edge clouds, the service components can be deployed on the edge clouds to reduce the composition latency, so the more flexible and intelligent service composition algorithms are urgently need to study. Based on this, we propose a service composition strategy under the multi-cloud environment, and we propose an ant colony optimization algorithm (ACO) based on the multi-pheromone mechanism to optimize the quality of service (QoS). To avoid the occurrence of local optima, we further introduce the mutation operation of the genetic algorithm. Finally, the simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve better QoS parameters such as latency and response time while ensuring the stability of services.

Abstract

In this paper, we proposed a theoretical model in the far-infrared and terahertz (THz) bands, which is a dumbbell-shaped graphene metamaterial arrays with a combination of graphene nanorod and two semisphere-suspended heads. We report a detailed theoretical investigation on how to enhance localized electric field and the absorption in the dumbbell-shaped graphene metamaterial arrays. The simulation results show that by changing the geometrical parameters of the structure and the Fermi level of graphene, we can change the absorption characteristics. Furthermore, we have discovered that the resonant wavelength is insensitive to TM polarization. In addition, we also find that the double-layer graphene arrays have better absorption characteristics than single-layer graphene arrays. This work allows us to achieve tunable terahertz absorber, and may also provide potential applications in optical filter and biochemical sensing.

Abstract

The use of electrode implantation technology to explore the electrical activity of population neurons is crucial for brain and cognitive science, brain-like research and brain-computer interface technology research. This article introduces the nursing points and significance of electrode implantation in rhesus monkey cerebral cortex before, during and after operation. Preoperative care includes preoperative preparation, preoperative medication, cranial fixation, skin preparation, etc. Intraoperative care includes physiological index monitoring and cerebral cortex implantation surgery care, while postoperative care includes observation and monitoring, debridement and nutritional care. Doing a good job in the operation of electrode implantation into the cerebral cortex of rhesus monkeys can not only improve the success rate of the operation, use as few experimental animals as possible to obtain the data required for the experiment, but also reduce the pain and injury caused by the operation to the animals, which is of great significance for brain and cognitive science research and animal welfare protection.

Abstract

In this paper, a novel approach for optimizing the joint deployment of small cell base stations and wireless backhaul links is proposed. This joint deployment scenario is cast as a multi-objective optimization problem under the constraints of limited backhaul capacity and outage probability. To address the problem,a novel adaptive algorithm that integrates $\epsilon$-method, Lagrangian relaxation and tabu search is proposed to obtain the Pareto optimal solution set. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is quite effective in finding the optimal solutions. 18. Multiple Magnetization Peaks and New Type of Vortex Phase Transitions in Ba0.6K0.4Fe2As2

Abstract

Magnetization and its relaxation have been measured on Ba0.6K0.4Fe2As2 single crystals with Tc = 39 K. The magnetization hysteresis loops (MHLs) exhibit flux jumps in the low temperature region, and a second peak-effect in the intermediate temperature region, especially when the field sweeping rate is low. Interestingly a third magnetization peak can be easily observed on the MHLs in the high temperature region. Further analysis find that the first magnetization peak is very sharp, which is associated with the strong vortex pinning. However the first dip of the MHL corresponds to a moderate relaxation rate, then a second peak appears accompanied by a vanishing vortex motion. Finally a third magnetization peak emerges and the vortex motion becomes drastic beyond this threshold. The novel features accompanying the second magnetization peak suggest a new type of vortex phase transition., Comment: 5 page, 5 figures

Abstract

This paper studies a spectrum sharing scenario between a cooperative relay network (CRN) and a nearby ad-hoc network. In particular, we consider a dynamic spectrum access and resource allocation problem of the CRN. Based on sensing and predicting the ad-hoc transmission behaviors, the ergodic traffic collision time between the CRN and ad-hoc network is minimized subject to an ergodic uplink throughput requirement for the CRN. We focus on real-time implementation of spectrum sharing policy under practical computation and signaling limitations. In our spectrum sharing policy, most computation tasks are accomplished off-line. Hence, little real-time calculation is required which fits the requirement of practical applications. Moreover, the signaling procedure and computation process are designed carefully to reduce the time delay between spectrum sensing and data transmission, which is crucial for enhancing the accuracy of traffic prediction and improving the performance of interference mitigation.
