Preeclampsia (PE) is characterized by gestational hypertension and proteinuria, and is a leading cause of maternal death and perinatal morbidity globally. Although the exact cause of PE remains unclear, several studies have suggested a role for abnormal expression of multiple genes. The aim of the present study was to identify key genes and related pathways, and to screen for drugs that regulate these genes for potential PE therapy. The GSE60438 dataset was acquired from the Gene Expression Omnibus database to analyze differentially expressed genes (DEGs). By constructing a protein-protein interaction network and performing reverse transcription-quantitative PCR verification, proteasome 26S subunit, non-ATPase 14, prostaglandin E synthase 3 and ubiquinol-cytochrome c reductase core protein 2 were identified as key genes in PE. In addition, PE was found to be associated with ‘circadian rhythm’, ‘fatty acid metabolism’, ‘DNA damage response detection of DNA damage’, ‘regulation of DNA repair’ and ‘endothelial cell development’. Through connectivity map analysis of DEGs, furosemide and droperidol were suggested to be therapeutic drugs that may target the hub genes for PE treatment. Results analysis of GSEA were included in the discussion section of this article. In conclusion, the current study identified novel key genes associated with the onset of PE and potential drugs for PE treatment.

This paper developed a set of intelligent system technology of real time detection of traffic signal running state and remote alarm for fault information, aimed at the hot and difficult problems which are caused by traffic signal running faults in Urban Road intersection through the analysis of the mechanism of those faults. This set of system technology determines the state of the traffic light by detecting the sub-voltage signal in the output section of the traffic signal controller terminals. If it finds an abnormal situation, it will alarm remotely automatically. The technology was authorized for the patent of the Chinese invention in 2018.

The objective of this thesis is to propose a Web services oriented framework for distributed e-learning systems aimed at providing a flexible integration model in which all the learning components and applications are well defined, effectively discovered and loosely connected. Web services provide an essential deploy environment to realize dynamic e-learning/e-business systems by facilitating application-to-application interaction. Using the proposed framework, learning service providers will be able to publish their learning objects or services universally and learning service requesters can retrieve those services anywhere, any time with any device (wired or wireless) through common communication protocols. The key values of interoperability and accessibility in the proposed architecture enhance the future distributed e-learning systems to communicate more efficiently and share data more easily. A proof of concept of the proposed system is designed and implemented in a J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) combined with J2ME (Java 2 Micro Edition) environment, using JAX Pack (Java for XML Pack) for building essential Web services and kSOAP package for parsing SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) messages on lightweight platforms. The implementation is a successful demonstration that learning services can be easily accessed through standard Web services interface. A cross-platform service invocation (C# to Java, Windows to Linux) is successfully accomplished in this implementation.

The Economic Research Institute of the Shanghai Social Science Academy deals mainly with the study, research, and data collection of prices, costs, and profits of various goods produced in the Shanghai region. The research subjects or investigations (about 20-30 each year) are assigned by the central government in Beijing. The Economic Research Institute not only reports the results of its research but also submits to the policymaker in Beijing feasible suggestions to solve the regional economic problems. It has a complex task as a research institute. Each month (usually on the tenth of the month) the Economic Research Institute receives the data collected by the Shanghai Statistics Bureau, which sends its data before the tenth of the month directly to the central government by a special airplane. With the development of the computer, computerized data banks and data collection centers have been set up throughout the country. This makes the process easier and quicker than before.
