An UPLC-MS/MS method for rapid and simultaneous determination of psoralen, isopsoralen, apigenin, genistein, bavaisoflavone, neobavaisoflavone, bavachin, bavachinin, psoralenoside, and isopsoralenoside of Psoraleae Fructus in beagle dog plasma was established, and then the method was applied in the pharmacokinetic study after oral administration of Psoraleae Fructus extract to beagle dogs. The pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated by the software of WinNonlin. A Waters HSS-T3 column(2.1 mm×100 mm,1.8 μm)was used for liquid chromatography separation with acetonitrile-water(containing 0.004% formic acid) as the mobile phase for gradient elution.The mass spectrometry was detected using electrospray ion source(ESI) under multi-reaction monitoring mode(MRM), as well as positive ion mode. Analysis time only takes 8.5 min. The methodological study in terms of specificity, accuracy, precision, linear range, recovery, matrix effect, and stability, was validated. The LC-MS analysis method established in this experiment was simple, specific, accurate, reliable, and meet the requirement of pharmacokinetic study in plasma after administration of Psoraleae Fructus extract to beagle dogs. Six beagle dogs received intragastric administration of Psoraleae Fructus extract, T_(max) of 10 chemical components is 1.92-5.67 h; among them, C_(max) of psoralen, isopsoralen, psoralenoside and isopsoralenoside is 383-3 613 ng·mL~(-1), and AUC_(0-∞) is 3 556-18 949 ng·h·mL~(-1), t_(1/2) is 2.45-4.83 h. C_(max) of the remaining six compounds is 0.81-19.9 ng·mL~(-1), AUC_(0-∞ )is 6.54-178 ng·h·mL~(-1), t_(1/2) is 2.95-7.29 h. The UPLC-MS/MS analysis method established in this study was proved to be accurate and sensitive that it can be applied to the pharmacokinetic study of beagle dogs after oral administration of Psoraleae Fructus extract.

Objective To study the anti-hypertrophic scar effect of the six-herb Chinese medicine composition (SCMC) ointment on the rabbit ear hypertrophic scar models. Methods The optimal formulation of SCMC ointment matrix was screened by the orthogonal designs and a series of evaluation tests. The SCMC ointment was prepared through emulsifying method. The rabbit ear hypertrophic scar models were established and used to investigate the anti-hypertrophic scar effect of SCMC ointment. Results Our results demonstrated that all the quality control indications of the SCMC ointment met the requirements. Anti-hypertrophic scar activity results showed that all the rabbit ear scar tissues appeared different degrees of shrink and fading, and took an unobvious but palpable shift from hard to soft texture with the low, middle and high concentration SCMC ointments treatments in vivo. Additionally, on 21st day the scar area and thickness in different concentrations of SCMC ointment groups were significantly reduced than control group, in a concentration-dependent manner. The immunohistochemical results also indicated that the SCMC ointment had good anti-hypertrophic scar properties and could inhibit hypertrophic scar formation. Conclusion The SCMC ointment could improve the blood circulation condition of hypertrophic scar tissues. Our research has demonstrated the Chinese medicine composition ointment with good anti-hypertrophic scar properties that could be used to treat hypertrophic scars. Meanwhile, it provides a theoretical basis for further clinical application.

Background: The aim of this study was to observe the effect and safety of Heyan Kuntai Capsule (HYKT) on glucose and lipid metabolism in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Methods: Hundred patients with PCOS were randomly divided into HYKT group (n = 50) and placebo groups (n = 50) in which the individuals were treated with HYKT and its placebo continuously for 6 months. Meanwhile, all participants received health education (such as exercise and diet). The primary outcomes were serum sex hormone levels, a series of blood lipid, fasting and postprandial 2 hours blood glucose. Body mass index (BMI), waist–hip ratio (WHR), insulin, homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), and insulin-sensitive index (ISI) were also observed. In addition, adverse events were recorded to evaluate the drug safety. Results: After treatment, the BMI and WHR of all the patients were decreased. The fasting and postprandial 2 hours blood glucose levels were significantly declined when treated with HYKT, which were not observed in the placebo group. Similarly, serum sex hormones including luteinizing hormone (LH), LH/follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and testosterone were lowered after treated with HYKT instead of the placebo. Besides, blood lipids outcomes such as total cholesterol, triglyceride, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, as well as insulin and HOMA-IR were decreased with significance in HYKT group when compared with those in the placebo group, whereas high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and ISI increased obviously. Conclusion: HYKT showed the effect on ameliorating the glucose and lipid metabolism disorder and improving insulin resistance and increase insulin sensitivity of PCOS patients, which is similar to insulin sensitizing agent.

Background: Peri-procedural myocardial injury (PMI) during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) will result in an unfavorable clinical prognosis in patients, thus urgently necessitating effective drug treatment measures. Shen-Yuan-Dan (SYD) capsules are a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) preparation that have been found to have potential myocardial protection effects during the peri-procedural phase of PCI in previous clinical and basic research; however, there is a lack of rigorous, randomized, and controlled studies. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of SYD in decreasing PMI. Methods: This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial. A total of 284 patients with unstable angina will be randomized into test and control groups. The two groups will be given SYD or a placebo (three times each day, four capsules each time) 3 days before PCI on the basis of conventional treatment. Twelve hours before PCI, an additional 4 capsules will be given, and drug treatment is planned to be maintained for 1 month after surgery. Dynamic changes in the myocardial enzyme in four time-points (before PCI, and 4, 24, 48 hours after PCI) in both groups of patients that will be observed. The follow-up period will be 1 month. The primary observation markers are planned to evaluate the efficacy and safety of SYD in decreasing PMI. The secondary observation markers will be to evaluate the major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs) status at day 30 after PCI, (all-cause mortality, non-fatal myocardial infarction, repeated revascularization of target blood vessel) and Seattle Angina Questionnaire scores. GRACE scores will be used for risk stratification, and the intervention efficacy of SYD on PMI patients with different risks will be retrospectively evaluated. Discussion: This study will provide a rigorous clinical evidence to evaluate the efficacy and safety of SYD in decreasing PMI and the results are worth anticipating. Trial registration: The design of this trial has been registered with the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (No. ChiCTR-IPR-17011069).

This paper introduces the present situation of Tianjin aquaculture. The main content of this paper is to summarize the application of Internet of things technology in fisheries industry. These applications include water environment monitoring and control, intelligent feeding system, video monitoring system and the aquatic product quality traceability system. This paper briefly describes the role of these techniques in aquaculture. At the end of this paper, it points out the deficiencies and the points which needs improvement.

Endometriosis is a common gynecological condition in childbearing age women and its therapy in modern medicine achieves usually temporary cure. Ping-Chong-Jiang-Ni formula (PCJNF), a Chinese herbal medicine (CHM), was shown to be clinically effective on endometriosis. Meanwhile, c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) signaling pathway was involved in the therapeutic process of CHM on endometriosis. Here, we explored the effect of PCJNF on the ectopic endometrial stromal cells (EESCs) from endometriosis and test whether JNK signaling was involved. After being treated with PCJNF-containing serum obtained from Sprague Dawley rat, cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and apoptosis were evaluated in EESCs, and the total and phosphorylated JNK, ERK, and p38 proteins were detected. Our results showed that PCJNF could suppress cell proliferation, migration, and invasion and induce apoptosis in EESCs. The suppressed proliferation and increased apoptosis were dependent on JNK activation. Additionally, PCJNF caused cell cycle arrest at G2/M phase and this effect was mediated by JNK signaling, while the decreased cell migration and invasion treated by PCJNF were independent of JNK signaling. In summary, our results provided the first evidence that PCJNF could suppress cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, while increasing apoptosis in EESCs, and the suppressed proliferation and enhanced apoptosis were mediated by JNK signaling.

In the paper, transport of water and Cl- under leaching was 2D-digitally simulated with COMSOL Multi-physics. In a two-dimensional transient cross-sectional model. COSMOL was used to investigate water and solute transport in the soil column coupled with variable sand column forms, with “a” denoting no sand column, “b” with one vertical middle sand column, “c “ with one long Slanted sand column, “d” with two long Slanted X-shaped sand columns. The parameters of the model were primarily based on the soil physical properties measured at coastal clay loam saline soil in Tianjin. The simulation results showed that, given same initial and same boundary conditions, sand column increased the transport efficiency of water and salt, which depends on the position and angle of sand column accordingly. The slanted columns were overall superior to the vertical ones in transport efficiency. In sum, “d” was the best type, “c” was the second best and “b” was the third, according to the efficiency of salt leaching and the efficiency of the utilization of water resources.

Background Increased amounts of soluble E-cadherin (E-cad) have been found in the serum in various cancers, but the role of serum soluble E-cad in the prognosis of breast cancer patients has not been explored in Asian populations. Material/Method Blood samples from 111 consecutive patients diagnosed with breast cancer and 55 healthy controls were investigated. Serum soluble E-cad expression levels were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) with an immunoassay kit according to the manufacturer’s directions. Kaplan-Meier analyses were used to evaluate the association between serum soluble E-cad expression level and survival. All statistical tests were 2-sided. Shape Set Up (SSU) system is the key technology for Hot Strip Mill (HSM). Precise SSU system is applied to improve the strip quality for HSM. The function of SSU, Setup and Feedback, is introduced. The main mathematic model of strip profile is set up. SSU system strategy is studied of a certain domestic 1700mm HSM. The SSU system is carried out in produce and the measurement data show that strip flatness deviant and strip profile deviant could be controlled in target scope. The study has set a sound base to improve the setting accuracy and develop SSU system for HSM further.

Roll wear model for Hot Strip Mill (HSM) was researched and the factors affect roll wear are analyzed. The simulation program was compiled by program visual C++ language and work roll wear was calculated according to the rolling schedule. Calculation results shows that roll wear like box shape. Strip width affects roll wear clearly. The strip length is one of the important issues which affect roll wear. Work roll wear of F7 top roll middle get to 280μm after a rolling schedule. Roll wear curve calculated by program were good agreement with the wear curve got by high-precision grinder. The results show that the roll wear model has high accuracy.

Seeing that the influence quality factors of product lifecycle are multi-object, multi-level, interconnection and interaction, which possess uncertainty and fuzziness obviously, in order to product quality, quality evaluation mathematical model based on Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation (FCE) is proposed to evaluate product quality. This method introduced the triangular fuzzy number to represent experts’ judgment information of product quality and used the AHP to rank these influence quality factors. At last, FCE is used to make the results of product quality evaluation more scientific and effective. The product of some Heavy Machinery Enterprise (coal grinding mill) is introduced as an example to demonstrate the rationality and validity of the method.

For the sake of overcoming the shortcoming of the manual sorting fruit such as inefficiency, inconformity and labor intensity, the weighing fruit grader is designed. The machine is composed of mechanism, computer, data acquisition card, DC PWM system, and pressure sensor. In the system, automatic fruit grading is realized according to the weight measured by pressure sensor. Based on the virtual instrument technology, a humanized human-computer interface is designed by means of Labwindows/CVI. Experiments explain that the precision of the fruits sorting is 96% when the velocity of the transport system is 0.5m/s. The system owns high real-time performance and dependability and it has a good application prospect.

To establish the configuration relations of complex product in the process of customization into supply chain, a new method of product configuration based on polychromatic graph theory was put forward. Then the optimum product structure configuration mathematical model was got and the improved ant colony algorithm was employed to solve the problem. The results showed that the solution quality got by improved ant colony algorithm was better than the solution got by traditional ant colony algorithm, and the product configuration model can exactly present the configuration information, product attribute and assembly relation for complex product. The customization system offers a kind of new way to meet customers’ requirements that the customers are eager for consumption of varieties, small batch production, short cycle and high quality.

In this paper, propagation of ELF electromagnetic waves in the lower ionosphere is treated analytically. Because of the fact that the lower ionosphere varies greatly with the height, the lower ionosphere is regarded as a horizontally stratified anisotropic plasma for ELF electromagnetic waves. Especially, in the analysis and computation the effects by heavy ions are considered. Finally, some new numerical results and discussions are also given.

To cope with the challenges of traditional quality management system applied in individualized customization, product lifecycle oriented quality management system model for individualized customization, and corresponding functional modules and framework were all put forward. This mode dealt mainly with constructing and running product lifecycle oriented quality management system for individualized customization, furthermore, some of key enabling technologies were studied in detail, including collaborative quality design based on CSCW, dynamic process quality control, quality evaluation oriented to product lifecycle. The corresponding prototype system is developed, which was introduced to demonstrate the rationality and validity of the method as an example of some Heavy Machinery Ltd. It provided an effective method with enterprise implementing individualized customization.

To cope with the problems of monitoring dynamic and variable quality variation for individualized customization, diagnosing the abnormal variation and adjusting the process at the right moment, is a difficult problem that individualized customization faces in process quality control. This mode dealt mainly with constructing and running dynamic quality control system, integrated several enabling technologies such as process quality analysis on-line based on similarity process, process quality diagnosis based on Elman and expert system of process quality adjustment. It is basis of realizing network, intelligent and automatic process quality control.

To cope with the challenges of product quality design system applied in new product development (NPD), a new method of quality control for NPD-collaborative quality design mode, which integrates voice of customer, quality function deployment (QFD) and failure modes and effect analysis (FMEA) , and corresponding functional modules and framework were all put forward. This mode dealt mainly with constructing and running collaborative quality design system, integrated several enabling technologies such as the integration of QFD and FMEA, task distribution of quality design, integrated technology of computer-supported-collaborative work (CSCW). On the basis of these, applying Java, JSP and JavaServlet to the system, improve working efficiency and shorten the development cycle so as to respond to the fluctuation of market demands as quick as possible. The quality design of some automobile was introduced as an example to verify that the system developed would efficiently meet the requirements of NPD.

Objective.The correlation between meridians and organs (Zang-fu) is an important aspect of meridian theory. The objective of this paper is to investigate the pathological changes in the organs resulting from blocking low hydraulic resistance channel (LHRC) along the stomach meridian by injecting gel in pigs so as to offer some insight into the correlation between meridians and internal organs.Methods.Four white piglets and twelve black minipigs were divided into four batches and were observed in different periods. Each batch included two pairs of pigs and each pair matched two pigs with similar conditions among which gel was injected into 6~8 low hydraulic resistance points along the the stomach meridian in the experimental pig and the same amount of saline was injected into the same points in the control pig. The state of stomach and intestine was observed 6~10 weeks after the blocking model was developed.Results.The results showed that there were bloated stomach or/and intestine in all the experimental pigs while there were normal states in seven control pigs except one dead during the experiment.Conclusion.The findings confirmed that the blockage of LHRC along the stomach meridian can influence the state of stomach and intestine, leading to a distension on stomach or/and intestine.

AIM: To investigate the growth effects of 4-phenyl butyric acid (PBA) on human gastric carcinoma cells and their mechanisms. METHODS: Moderately-differentiated human gastric carcinoma SGC-7901 and lowly-differentiated MGC-803 cells were treated with 5, 10, 20, 40, and 60 μmol/L PBA for 1-4 d. Cell proliferation was detected using the MTT colorimetric assay. Cell cycle distributions were examined using flow cytometry. RESULTS: The proliferation of gastric carcinoma cells was inhibited by PBA in a dose- and time-dependent fashion. Flow cytometry showed that SGC-7901 cells treated with low concentrations of PBA were arrested at the G0/G1 phase, whereas cells treated with high concentrations of PBA were arrested at the G2/M phase. Although MGC-803 cells treated with low concentrations of PBA were also arrested at the G0/G1 phase, cells treated with high concentrations of PBA were arrested at the S phase. CONCLUSION: The growth inhibitory effect of PBA on gastric cancer cells is associated with alteration of the cell cycle. For moderately-differentiated gastric cancer cells, the cell cycle was arrested at the G0/G1 and G2/M phases. For lowly-differentiated gastric cancer cells, the cell cycle was arrested at the G0/G1 and S phases.
