Aim: The purpose of this research is to investigate the frequency of dental calculus in patients with kidney stone and without kidney stone. Methodology: Two hundred eighty-seven patients (143 men and 144 women) aged between 18 and 68 (mean age 38.38±13.74) were included in the study. Patients were divided two groups in which 143 subjects without kidney stones (group I) and 144 subject with kidney stones (group II). Intragroup and inter-group analyzes were performed in terms of periodontal status and dental calculus index according to educational level, frequency of toothbrushing and smoking. Results: The study sample consisted of 287 patients which 143 in group I, 144 in group II. The mean age of the group I was 36.77±12.81 years old, and group II was 39.98±14.47 years old. Bu çalışmanın amacı, yeni koronavirüs (COVID-19) salgını sırasında Türk toplumundaki sağlık çalışanlarının uykusuzluk şiddetini demografik verilere, çalışma koşullarına ve diğer değişkenlere göre değerlendirmektir.Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu çalışma Türkiye’de çeşitli sağlık merkezlerinde aktif hizmet vermekte olan 107 erkek ve 170 kadın olmak üzere toplam 277 sağlık çalışanı üzerinden yürütülmüştür. Sağlık çalışanlarından kişisel bilgi formunu ve uykusuzluk düzeyinin belirlenmesi için Uykusuzluk Şiddet İndeksi (UŞİ) formunu doldurmaları istenildi. Hazırlanan anket formları çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden sağlık çalışanlarına online olarak uygulandı. Verilerin istatistiksel analizlerinde Mann-Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis testi kullanıldı. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the insomnia severity of healthcare workers in Turkish society during the COVID-19 epidemic according to demographic data, working conditions and other variables. Materials and Methods: This study was carried out in Turkey, a total of 277 medical employees, including 107 men and 170 women providing active service in various health centers. Healthcare workers were asked to fill in the personal information form and the Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) to determine the insomnia level. The prepared questionnaires were applied online to healthcare workers who agreed to participate in the study. Mann-Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis test were used in the statistical analysis of the data. The level of ISI was higher in secretaries and those working in the field of radiology, smokers and people with chronic diseases, but this difference is not significant (P>0.05). Conclusion: As a result of the psychological effects of healthcare workers, the ISI level was detected higher. Regular psychoeducation may be helpful for healthcare workers to be less psychologically affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.
