Sexual violence severity has long been viewed as a critical factor of sex offending. However, the criminological viewpoints on sexual violence severity have not received much attention, especially in the Chinese context. By integrating general-criminogenic (inhibitory mechanisms) and specific sex offending (learning mechanisms and contextual factors) perspectives, the current study links the propositions of social control (bonds) theory, self-control theory, differential association theory, and the integrated theory of sex offending, proposing a general-specific model for sexual violence severity. Survey data was collected from 250 Chinese offenders who committed sexual offenses against adults. The mediation analysis found that deviant peer association fully mediates the effects of social control and low self-control on sexual violence severity. The moderation analysis showed that substance abuse exaggerates the impact of deviant peer association on sexual violence severity, while sex purchasing mitigates this relationship. This general-specific model may expand our current understanding of sexual violence severity from both criminological and psychological perspectives.

NbTiNx and NbTiN25-CHx coatings (where x indicates the nitrogen or acetylene flux rate) were deposited on SKH51 substrates by high-power impulse magnetron sputtering. The study comprised three stages. In the first stage, NbTiNx coatings with nitrogen flux rates varying from 0 to 50 sccm were deposited to determine the nitrogen flux rate which yielded the best mechanical and tribological properties. In the second stage, NbTiN25-CHx coatings with acetylene flux rates varying in the range of 5-25 sccm were prepared using the optimal nitrogen flux rate determined in the first stage in an attempt to further improve the tribological performance. In the final stage, the NbTiN25-CHx coating with the best tribological properties was deposited on micro-drills and used to perform a series of high-speed through-hole drilling tests under dry conditions using printed circuit board specimens. Among the various NbTiNx coatings, the NbTiN25 coating showed an excellent adhesive strength (Lc > 100 N) and superior tribological properties. The NbTiN25 coating was thus selected for further experimentation using various acetylene additions. The NbTiN25-CH25 coating was found to possess a sufficient carbon content (34.9 at.%) to produce a transition from a metal nitride crystalline (NbTiN25) structure to a diamond-like carbon structure with a high sp2 concentration. The coating exhibited a high hardness/elastic modulus ratio of 0.063 and an adhesive strength of Lc > 100 N. Consequently, a carbon-rich solid lubricant layer was formed at the contact interface under ball-on-disk sliding, which resulted in an excellent tribological performance. The NbTiN25-CH25 coating was thus chosen for deposition on micro-drills. The coating increased the lifetime of the micro-drill by around three times compared to that of an uncoated drill. Even after drilling 6000 holes, the holes showed an excellent quality with a low nail head ratio and surface roughness and a diameter error of less than 1.5%.

Pure agar (PA)-based resistive random access memory (RRAM) devices using simple solution process method were demonstrated. The memory properties of the investigated PA-based resistive layers are determined by the relationship between the physical properties of the PA thin films and the RRAM performance. The memory properties of PA films with 2 different bottom substrates (glass and PET) and ITO as bottom electrodes were also investigated to explore the differences between rigid and flexible substrates. The RRAM fabricated from PA film and PET substrates exhibit good uniformity acceptable retention over 104 s, and high ON/OFF ratio (>104) at room temperature. According to the fitting results, the RRAM made of PA thin film conforms to the Space-charge-limited current model. This work helps to understand the resistive switching and maintain stable operations of Agar-based RRAM, which means a lot for increasing the application of agar in flexible devices.

To investigate the feasibility of reducing the scan time of paediatric technetium 99m (A total of 112 paediatricDL-based SPECT images obtained from half-time acquisition have image quality similar to the standard clinical SPECT images obtained from full-acquisition-time acquisition. Moreover, the accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of the DL-based SPECT images for detection of affected kidneys were 91.7%, 83.3%, and 100%, respectively.These preliminary results suggest that DL has the potential to reduce the scan time of paediatric

The vascularization of subchondral bone plays a significant role in the progression of knee osteoarthritis (OA). Treatment with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has positive effects on cartilage lesions.
