This meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the efficacy of sorafenib plus transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) in treating hepato-cellular carcinoma (HCC) with portal vein tumor thrombosis (PVTT). Twelve randomized controlled trials published until 28th Sep 2022 were finally included. Of the total 1746 patients, of whom 458 received sorafenib and TACE treatment (Group S+TACE), and 1288 only underwent TACE (Group TACE), were enrolled. Outcomes including time to progression (TTP), objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), overall survival (OS), survival rate (SR), and adverse reactions, were extracted. The OS (HR: 0.596, 95 %CI: 0.507–0.685, p < 0.001; I2 = 0.0 %) and TTP (HR: 0.379, 95 %CI: 0.205–0.553, p < 0.001; I2 = 4.5 %) in the S+TACE group were longer than those in the TACE group. The ORR (RR: 2.101, 95 %CI: 1.555–2.839, p < 0.001; I2 = 0.0 %), DCR (RR: 1.547, 95 %CI: 1.126–2.126, p = 0.007; I2 = 79.6 %) and SR (RR: 1.416, 95 %CI: 1.183-1.694, p < 0.001; I2 = 83.8 %) in the S+TACE group were higher than those in the TACE group. Compared with the TCAE group, the higher odds of HFSR, oral ulcer, and diarrhea among patients with HCC complicated by PVTT were discovered in the S+TACE group. The marginal significance was found in ascites and gastrointestinal bleeding between the two groups. Sorafenib plus TACE has good efficacy and mild adverse reactions, which may be worthy of clinical promotion.

In this study, we establish the existence and nonexistence of smooth and peaked solitary wave solutions (or periodic) to the Degasperis-Procesi-Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (DP-KP) equation with a weak transverse effect. We have also shown that DP-KP equation possesses periodic shock waves similar to that of the Degasperis-Procesi equation.

Beam-steered infrared (IR) light communication has gained tremendous attention as one of the solutions of congested wireless communication traffic. High performance active beam-steering devices play a crucial role in data allocation and exchange. Conventional beam-steering devices such as spatial light modulator (SLM) and micro-electrical mechanical system (MEMS) mirror and the current emerging nonmechanical beam-steering metasurface-based devices are challenging to realize a large tunable steering angle beyond several degrees, which significantly hinders the spatial application of optical wireless communications (OWC). Herein, an angle-magnified liquid crystal (LC) metadevice consisting of LC metasurfaces and a liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS) is proposed to realize active beam steering with a tunable large field of view (FOV). Based on the angle-magnified tunable LC metadevice, an intelligent bidirectional high-speed OWC system is experimentally demonstrated, achieving an actively enlarged FOV of 20° × 20°, with a data rate of 200 Gbps over the S/C/L band for both uplink and downlink transmission over a propagation distance of 1.5 m in free space. The proposed OWC system opens a new avenue for the future high performance wireless data transmission.

【Objective】In this paper, machine learning method is applied to 30 Tbit/s (60 × 500 Gbit/s) Nyquist Dual Polarization-16 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (DP-16QAM) system after 6 300 km transmission in G. 654E optical fiber. Nonlinear channel equalization is used to reduce the transmission Bit Error Rate (BER).【Methods】Referring to the "receptive field" mechanism of convolution neural network, the size of "convolution core" is designed, and the data set is constructed according to the divided sampling data. The artificial neural network is constructed by optimizing the parameters. The one-to-one data corresponding to the transmission and reception of different wavelengths, different optical signal-to-noise ratios, and different fiber input powers in the C-band are collected. Refer to the classic full-connection neural network structure, the neural network is constructed according to the data structure of the data set. The network fitting is carried out for the real part and the imaginary part respectively. After training stage, the test data is sent into the network, and the performances are compared with the traditional methods.【Results】Two kinds of neural networks are used to fit the transmission BER under 60 different wavelength transmission conditions of C band frequency from 191.562 5 to 195.987 5 THz. Compared with Maximum Likelihood Sequence Estimation (MLSE), Network 1 has an average reduction of 23% in BER, and Network 2 has an average reduction of 41% in BER. A frequency of 193.812 5 THz is then selected for the calculation of the fiber input power ranging from 14 to 19 dBm. The average improvement in network 1 and network 2 are 32% and 52%, respectively. Under different optical signal-to-noise ratios, Network 1 has an average improvement of 30%, and Network 2 has an average improvement of 57%.【Conclusion】The two neural networks have excellent performance in nonlinear equalization of coherent transmission systems. At the same time, the number of network layers and nodes will jointly affect the fitting results. Increasing the number of layers and nodes can obtain better fitting results, but the corresponding parameters, training time and the required space will also increase. Therefore, in the application, the actual situation should be considered to choose between the fitting performances and the model attributes.

The external friction behavior between the interface and powders is affected by the properties of the powders, the surface roughness of dies, the relative motion speed, temperature, and pressure. Unreasonable external friction behavior may cause the wear of powder processing equipment and the uneven density distribution of products. To explore the external friction behavior of powders, the research progress of powder external friction coefficient was thoroughly investigated, and the testing methods of powder external friction coefficient were summarized. According to the loads, the testing methods of powder external friction coefficient are composed of small load testing methods and heavy load testing methods. The small load testing methods include slope method and plate method, and the heavy load testing methods include rotation method, shear method, and closed mold method. The principle, testing equipment, and important conclusions of those various testing methods were briefly described in this paper. The results show that, the test methods under the small load are only suitable for the external friction coefficient of powders with low relative density, and the pressing force in the test is generally less than 100 times of powder weight. The test methods under the heavy load are more commonly used for measuring the external friction coefficient of powders with high relative density; the pressing force of polymer materials is usually 0.5×103~1.0×105 times of powder weight, while that of metal materials is 105~107 times of powder weight.

AIM: To analyze the changes of the dominant eye in myopic patients after small incision lenticule extraction(SMILE)and its effect on visual quality.METHODS: Prospective clinical study. A total of 140 patients(280 eyes)who underwent SMILE operation to correct myopia in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from June to December 2022 were selected. They were divided into dominant eye transformation group(46 cases, 92 eyes)and non-transformation group(94 cases, 188 eyes)according to whether the dominant eye transformation occurred during the follow-up in postoperative 3 mo. The uncorrected visual acuity(UCVA)of the two groups was evaluated, the subjective visual quality was evaluated by the quality of life impact of refractive correction(QIRC)scale, and the objective visual quality was evaluated by measuring the high-order aberrations of the whole eye before and at 1 and 3 mo after surgery.RESULTS: Before SMILE, the right type of dominant eye was 105 cases, left-type was 35 cases. There were 46 cases had change at 1 mo postoperatively, and there was no new change at 3 mo after operation than 1 mo after operation. There was no significant difference in UCVA and QIRC scale score between the two groups preoperatively and at 1 and 3 mo postoperatively(P>0.05). Comparison of the dominant eye between the two groups: the total higher-order aberrations and spherical aberrations at 3 mo postoperatively were significantly higher than those in the non-transformed group(P=0.030, 0.046); Comparison of the non-dominant eye between the two groups: trefoil in the transformed group at 1 mo postoperatively was significantly higher than that in the non-transformed group(P=0.008). The binocular difference of trefoil in the transition group was significantly higher than that in the non-transition group at 1 mo after surgery(P=0.022), with no differences in the rest parameters.CONCLUSION: Some patients may experience a change in the dominant eye after SMILE surgery, with no significant impact on subjective visual quality. The decrease of objective visual quality in the early postoperative period may be an associated factor in the dominant eye transformation.

Objective Shanghai Master Plan (2017-2035) evaluates land use performance using the index of land use area for construction of GDP per unit area across the city. However, since rail transit stations are more concerned with passenger throughput, this index may not be suitable for evaluating land use performance at the stations. Therefore, it is necessary to select appropriate indicators to evaluate the land use performance of rail transit stations. Method By utilizing data on passenger throughput at Shanghai rail transit stations and combining with AOI (area of interest) data, POI (point of interest) data, and surrounding land use planning and utilization situation, the passenger throughput per unit area is defined as the indicator for evaluating the land use performance of stations. The land use performance of rail transit stations in central urban area (within the Outer Ring Inner Region) of Shanghai is evaluated, the performance of general stations and interchange stations is compared, and a causal analysis of the land use performance results of different stations is conducted. Result & Conclusion The type and intensity of land use around the stations have a significant impact on station performance. Rail transit stations located near major transportation hubs, economic development zones, industrial parks, and large commercial districts exhibit higher land use performance. Conversely, stations surrounded by areas with lower land development intensity and dense residential communities demonstrate lower land use performance.

Based on the stratified survey data of Pleonomus canaliculatus in the soil of winter wheat and summer maize rotation field in North China Plain, the vertical activity of Pleonomus canaliculatus in the soil of winter wheat and summer maize rotation fields, the correlation between meteorological conditions and farmland planting management are observed and analyzed, and effects of Pleonomus canaliculatus damage on the yield of winter wheat are analyzed. By combining the insect population weight index with population density index, characteristics of the harm-dormancy activity of Pleonomus canaliculatus are investigated comprehensively in different soil layers. Results show that in the winter wheat and summer maize rotation growing season, there are 3 harm and 3 dormant periods, 3 harm periods appear in the winter wheat regreening-jointing period, the summer maize seedling period and the autumn seedling period of winter wheat, and 3 dormant periods appear in winter wheat overwintering period, winter wheat ripening-harvesting period and summer maize filling-ripening period. Among 3 harm periods, winter wheat regreening-jointing period is the most serious, which could lead to serious yield reduction of winter wheat. Winter is warmer, and spring temperature is warmer early, so Pleonomus canaliculatus exhibits characteristics of going down late and coming up early, which shortens the dormant period in winter and prolong the harmful activity period. Soil temperature, moisture, and the relationship between food and source affect the damage, dormancy, and feeding activities of Pleonomus canaliculatus. The suitable soil moisture content for it is about 15% to 18%, and the suitable soil temperature is 14 to 18 ℃. In summer, Pleonomus canaliculatus may enter dormancy or reduce activity due to lack of food sources or high temperatures and humidity of soil, Pleonomus canaliculatus can enter the dormancy or reduced activity. The analysis of winter wheat yield reduction caused by Pleonomus canaliculatus damage shows that the yield reduction rate is increased by 5.1% with an increase of 10 m-2 in insect population density or with an increase of 1.0 g·m-2 in insect weight. Results provide reference for agricultural production in North China to address climate change and scientifically manage farm to avoid diseases and pests.

The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of Lycium barbarum leaves flavonoids (LBLF) on lipid accumulation in normal and oleic acid-induced HepG2 cells. The experiment was divided into six groups as follows: blank, model, positive control, low-, medium-, and high-dose LBLF. Oil red O staining was performed to assess the aggregation of lipid droplets in each group, and lipid levels and oxidative stress indicators were measured. Finally, real-time polymerase chain reaction (real-time PCR) and Western blot were used to detect the expression of mRNAs and proteins associated with lipid synthesis. The results indicated that LBLF could decrease the increase in the levels of triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), malondialdehyde (MDA) and reactive oxygen species (ROS) induced by oleic acid in HepG2 cells. It also could increase high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione, and catalase levels. Additionally, Western blot results suggested that LBLF intervention could up-regulate phosphorylated adenosine 5’-monophosphate (AMP)-activated protein kinase (p-AMPK) and AMPK levels, and down-regulate the protein expression of sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1c(SREBP-1c), peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ), and CCAAT enhancer binding protein alpha (CEBPα). Real-time PCR results indicated that LBLF intervention down-regulated the expression of genes such as ACC, FAS, SREBP-1c, SCD-1, PPARγ, and CEBPα. In conclusion, LBLF could partially alleviate lipid metabolism disorder in oleic acid-induced HepG2 cells by regulating the expression levels of lipid synthesis and oxidation-related genes.

In order to improve the wear resistance of Ti-25Nb-3Zr-2Sn-3Mo(TLM) titanium alloy, the composite coating on surface of alloy was prepared by surface mechanical composite strengthening(SMCS) process. The microstructure, micromechanical properties and tribological properties of the composite coating were studied. Results showed that TiN/Sn composite coatings could be successfully prepared on the alloy surface using surface mechanical composite strengthening technology. As the Sn content increased, the thickness and roughness of the composite coating continued to increase, and the thickness of 10%～40% Sn coatings was 9.08, 14.05, 18.33 and 23.55 μm, respectively. Additionally, the surface hardness of 10%～40% Sn coatings was 590, 529, 465 and 400 HV, respectively, which was higher than that of the matrix hardness(～230 HV). Furthermore, the wear amounts of the composite coating decreased first and then increased with the increase of Sn content, and the 20% Sn coating had the lowest wear amount. In the dry wear test, the wear mechanism of original sample was mainly adhesive wear and accompanied by abrasive wear, while the wear mechanism of the composite reinforced sample was abrasive wear, adhesive wear and accompanied by oxidation wear.

ObjectiveTo investigate the prevalence of dental caries among preschool children in Chongming District， Shanghai， and to analyze the related factors influencing dental caries in preschool children in Chongming District， in order to provide references and suggestions for the prevention of dental caries in preschool children in Chongming District.MethodsFrom January to April 2022， 939 preschool children from 5 kindergartens in Chongming District of Shanghai were selected as the research objects through random cluster sampling. The dental caries prevalence rate and related risk factors of dental caries in preschool children were studied through oral examinations and questionnaire surveys.ResultsThe prevalence rate of dental caries among the 939 preschool children was 45.69%. AIM:To measure the superficial capillary plexus(SCP)vessel density(VD), deep capillary plexus(DCP)VD, and the area, circumference, and roundness index of the foveal avascular zone(FAZ)in healthy individuals of four ethnic groups, namely, Uyghur, Han, Kazakh, and Hui by optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA), and to investigate the differences of blood flow parameters in macular area of healthy individuals among different ethnic groups in China.METHODS: A total of 80 cases(80 eyes)of healthy subjects if each of the four ethnic groups who went to the Eye Center of the Friendship Hospital of Ili Kazak autonomous Prefecture from December 2022 to March 2023 and met the criteria were selected for the study, with 320 eyes totally. The patients were grouped and numbered according to their ethnicity, and the spherical equivalent and axial length were obtained by using an autorefractor and IOL Master. The blood flow images of the macular area in the range of 3 mm×3 mm were obtained by using a DRI Triton OCT detector, and the images were analyzed by using the built-in IMAGENET6 software to obtain the blood flow parameters. Furthermore, the differences in the blood flow parameters between different ethnic groups as well as the effects of gender, age, and axial length on macular blood flow parameters of different ethnic groups were compared.RESULTS:There were no statistically significant differences in gender, age, axial length, diopter, and image quality(IQ)among the four groups of subjects(all P>0.05). Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and aluminum composite powders were prepared by both wet ball milling and dry ball milling. The CNTs reinforced aluminum matrix (CNTs/Al) composites were fabricated by sparking plasma sintering (SPS) combined with hot extrusion process, and the relationship of preparation process, microstructure, and mechanical properties was explored systematically. The results show that, compared with the dry ball milling, the wet ball milling can better disperse CNTs, and significantly reduce the damage to the structure of CNTs. The ethanol ball milling medium has the cooling effect to significantly refine the grain size and reduce the cold welding of the powders, resulting in the excellent mechanical properties of the composites. The tensile strength of 2%CNTs/Al composites sintered and hot extruded after wet ball milling for 6 h reaches 207 MPa.

As a sort of intelligent material, NiTi shape memory alloys (SMAs) are widely used in the fields of aerospace, medical devices and construction due to their functional properties such as excellent superelasticity, shape memory effect and biocompatibility. Superelasticity is characterized by a macroscopic recovery of the original shape despite large deformations, and is much larger than the recoverable elastic strain of common metals. The shape memory effect is the mutual transformation of austenite and martensite phases under temperature excitation, which is categorized into one-way, two-way and all-round shape memory effects according to the macroscopic deformation. The biocompatibility of NiTi SMAs is reflected in the low elastic modulus and low biotoxicity, which can be used in medical devices such as orthodontics, orthopedics, and cardiovascular stents. In order to fully exploit the applications of these functional properties, researchers are developing intelligent structures based on NiTi SMAs. This paper focuses on the review of the intelligent structures' applications corresponding to the different functional properties of NiTi SMAs, and introduces and discusses functional properties, problems and application fields. Meanwhile, damping and hydrogen storage properties of NiTi SMAs are explained in detail. Finally, this paper underlines the problems that need to be focused on and addressed in the applications of NiTi SMAs in various engineering fields: using additive manufacturing to tailoring the microstructure to achieve the stability improvement of superelasticity; providing theoretical guidance for the stable shape memory effect through the establishment of the intrinsic model, and further optimizing the structure to achieve the macroscopic amplification of the shape memory effect; as well as improving the corrosion resistance of NiTi SMAs in biological environments and the promotion of medical applications. Therefore, a great deal of interdisciplinary research is needed to promote the personalization and functional customization of NiTi SMAs in different applications.

Research findings indicate that in multi-unit systems experiencing subsynchronous oscillations （SSO）， the units tend to exhibit similar torsional vibration frequencies. Therefore， an analysis was conducted on the interactive effects among shaft systems of units with similar frequencies， as well as the mechanisms of system series compensation， electrical distances between units. Additionally， the paper delved into the mechanisms through which system series compensation， electrical distances between units， and similar torsional vibration frequencies impact the SSO. Firstly， based on characteristic matrices， the expression for the complex torque coefficients of two parallel thermal power units in the system was derived. Subsequently， the simplified complex torque coefficient method for a single unit was extended to encompass multi-unit systems， resulting in a streamlined expression for the electrical damping of dual thermal power units. The analysis further examined the influence of other units on the damping of the target unit， revealing that series compensation， electrical distances between units， and similar torsional vibration frequencies all exert an influence on system damping and stability. Finally， the mechanisms through which influencing factors affect the subsynchronous stability of the system were validated through numerical examples.

The CO2 emissions of China power industry is the main source of CO2 emissions. The CO2 emissions of thermal power plants account for the largest proportion in the power industry. Under the goal of “double carbon”, CO2 accounting technology can realize the intuitive judgment of CO2 emissions in thermal power plants, provide important support for CO2 emission reduction in thermal power plants, promote thermal power plants to participate in carbon trading, and drive regional economic development. Combined with domestic and foreign policies, the implementation progress of the current general CO2 accounting methods was discussed. The problems existing in the CO2 accounting methods of thermal power plants based on carbon accounting and supplemented by carbon monitoring were summarized. The key and difficult points of the application of CO2 accounting technology in thermal power plants were analyzed. Finally, the development and application of CO2 accounting technology in thermal power plants were prospected.

Neoadjuvant therapy is a preoperative systemic treatment for patients with breast cancer. This therapy has greatly improved the clinical outcomes of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive breast cancer, which is associated with poor prognosis. Currently, dual anti-HER2 antibodies, including trastuzumab and pertuzumab, combined with non-anthracycline chemotherapy is one of the standard regimens to achieve high pathologic complete response rate and satisfactory efficacy. The combination of trastuzumab with tyrosine kinase inhibitors, antibody-drug conjugate drugs, or immunotherapy combined with target therapy, under the indications of reasonable biomarkers, is effective for HER2-positive breast cancer. In this article, we briefly reviewed neoadjuvant therapy in the dual-targeting therapy era and discussed its future perspectives.

This research proposes a dam deformation prediction model based on clustering partitioning and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM) networks to address the limitations of traditional monitoring models in characterizing the distribution characteristics of deformation zones in concrete gravity dams. The model takes into account the intrinsic correlations among monitoring points and achieves more comprehensive deformation monitoring by integrating multiple feature information. Firstly, the improved K-Shape algorithm, which takes into account the time series features and spatial coordinate relationships, is used to cluster and partition the spatial measurement points to better capture the spatial distribution characteristics of the deformation region. Following that, the model hyperparameters undergo iterative optimization using the ZOA optimization algorithm to enhance overall model performance. Finally, a ZOA-BiLSTM modelling process incorporating the correlation characteristics of multiple measurement points is proposed. After validation by engineering examples, the clustering results coincide with the spatial distribution characteristics of dam deformation. Meanwhile, the prediction model has high accuracy and robustness, and predicts the dam deformation from the multi-measurement point correlation dimension, which provides a new and effective method to monitor the overall safety state of the dam.

Coagulation sedimentation is a critical pretreatment step in the advanced treatment of landfill leachate. Traditional coagulation processes for treating landfill leachate have drawbacks such as low water recovery，loose flocs，and low pollutant removal efficiency. A delayed stirring pelleting coagulation process of landfill leachate was put forwarded based on the theory of mechanical syneresis. Through long periods of high-intensity mechanical agitation，it could homogenize suspended solids. The results showed that the removal efficiency of SS，turbidity，and COD could reach 92.33%，99.92%，and 35.84% under optimal conditions of pH=12，stirring strength of 1 500 r/min，PAC and PAM dosage of 3 000 mg/L and 60 mg/L. The image particle measurement system revealed that under optimal conditions，the d50 of floc was 3.76 mm and the sedimentation velocity was 20.08 mm/s，which was approximately 60% higher than that of conventional coagulation. According to the floc sedimentation rate，projection area and effective particle size，the three-dimensional fractal dimension was 2.890 9 and the effective density was 0.087 6 g/cm3. It was found that the floc produced by delayed stirring pelleting coagulation had fast sedimentation speed and high density，and the supernatant recovery rate after floc could increase from 45% conventional coagulation to 85%.

【Objective】 To explore the spatio-temporal variation of fractional vegetation coverage (FVC) and its influencing factors in the Yiluo River basin from 2002 to 2021, middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River. 【Method】 In this research, the data of Landsat series satellites in 2002, 2007, 2011, 2016 and 2021 were selected and combined with pixel binary model to extract the vegetation coverage of this basin. The coefficient of variation and linear regression analysis method were used to reveal the spatial-temporal variation of vegetation coverage in this basin. The influence of natural factors and human activity factors on the temporal and spatial changes is analyzed. 【Result】 From 2002 to 2021, the source mountains in the Western and Southern parts of the basin are high FVC areas, while the FVC is low along the river course from West to East and in the central and Northern parts of the basin. The Eastern part is low FVC area. The proportion of high and relatively high FVC area was 65.29%. Medium FVC accounted for 17.66%, low and relatively low coverage accounted for 17.05%. The overall vegetation coverage was high, and the average FVC shows a decreasing trend, and then gradually increases. The FVC of the basin was basically stable in 44.14%, improved area in 32.25%, and slightly degraded area in 17.27%. The proportion of obvious degradation area was 6.34%. The influence degree of natural factors on FVC from high to low is elevation, temperature, precipitation and slope.The FVC increases with the increase of elevation, precipitation and slope, and decreases with the increase of temperature. The positive effect of human activities on FVC was slightly greater than the negative effect, which became an important factor promoting its growth trend. 【Conclusion】 From 2002 to 2021, the vegetation coverage in the Yiluo River Basin was relatively high and gradually increased. Elevation, temperature and precipitation were the main factors affecting its spatial distribution, and human activities promoted its increase.

Abstract Purpose This study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of the porcine tongue for palatoplasty simulation compared to 3D-printed simulators and their surgical education role. Materials and methods A total of 18 senior cleft surgeons participated in a palatoplasty simulation-based workshop conducted using porcine tongue simulators and 3D-printed simulators. This workshop consisted of a didactic session followed by a hands-on simulation session. Each participant independently used both simulators to perform Furlow double-opposing Z-plasty, which was assessed and scored by senior cleft surgeons using a scoring system including organizational flexibility and ductility, anatomical design simulation, proper incision, proper suturing, and convenience of operation. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and carbon dioxide primarily originate from the combustion of fossil fuels and biomass. The implementation of the Chinese “double carbon strategy” is expected to impact the distribution of PAH emissions, consequently influencing the spatial distribution trend of PAHs in surface soil. Therefore, it is crucial to quantitatively evaluate the effectiveness of the Chinese “double carbon strategy” on soil PAH pollution for the purpose of “the reduction of pollution and carbon emissions”. This study utilized 15,088 individual PAH concentration data from 943 soil samples collected between 2003 and 2020 in China, in conjunction with PAH emissions at a 10 km resolution, for meta-analysis. The calculated PAH emissions in this study are in line with the global PAH emission inventory (PKU-PAH-2007), with a relative standard deviation at the provincial level of less than 25 %. Subsequently, a novel method was developed using emission density and Kow of PAHs to predict PAH concentrations in surface soil based on a least-squares regression model. Compared to other environmental models, the method established in this study significantly reduced the percent sample deviation to less than 70 %. Furthermore, energy consumption data for China were simulated based on the implementation plan of the “double carbon strategy” to project PAH emissions and soil PAH levels for the years 2030 and 2060. The predicted PAH emissions in China were estimated to decrease to 41,300 t in 2030 and 10,406.5 t in 2060 from 78,815 t in 2020. Moreover, the heavily contaminated areas of soil PAHs (i.e., total PAH concentrations in soil exceeding 1000 μg kg−1) were projected to decrease by 45 % and 82 % in 2030 and 2060, respectively, compared to levels in 2020. These findings suggest that the implementation of the “double carbon strategy” can fundamentally reduce the pollution of PAHs in surface soil of China.

ObjectiveTo investigate the satisfaction of both service providers and users in community health service centers through questionnaires， and to analyze the reasons， so as to put forward suggestions for improving satisfaction.MethodsSampling was conducted in 247 community health service centers in 16 districts of Shanghai， and data were collected from employees and patients through on-site questionnaires.ResultsA total of 10 334 eligible questionnaires were collected from community health service centers， of which 7 712 were from patients and 2 622 were from employees. In 2021， the public's satisfaction with community health service centers was 96.51 points， and the satisfaction of employees was 94.08 points. The public expressed lower satisfaction with the availability of essential drugs for outpatient services， while the staff were less satisfied with their salary and benefits， work recognition， and career development. Regarding family doctor services， 73.38% of the public had signed up for family doctor services， while 23.57% of the public did not know about the family doctor services， and 16.18% believed it was necessary to improve the publicity of basic public health services.ConclusionThe public's overall satisfaction with the service of community health services is gradually increased. The basic medical services of community health are recognized by residents. Drug allocation needs to be improved urgently， and publicity and promotion need to be further strengthened. The overall satisfaction of employees is high， but further improvement is needed in terms of salary and benefits， work recognition， and career development.

The metasurface based beam-steering devices with the advantages of large steering angles, arbitrary channels and ultra-compactness have played an important role for data allocation and exchange in the optical wireless communication. However, the current metasurface based optical wireless communication systems are mainly on intensity modulation and direct detection (IM/DD), which shows a relative lower transmission capacity, lower received optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) and complexity of system. In this study, a bidirectional multichannel optical wireless system enabled by a polarization independent metasurface with coherent modulation and reception is designed and experimentally demonstrated, which exhibits exclusive 100 Gbps coherent optical signals to multiusers with their own wavelengths, 2 m free space distance and field of view of 20° × 20°. In addition, the proposed system can support optical broadcasting system with capacity of 900 Gbps. The demonstrated metasurface assisted optical wireless communication system merges the optical coherent communication techniques and emerging concept of metasurface, which reduces the complexity and cost of the system while contributing a high transmission capacity, opening a new avenue for high performance optical wireless communications.

In order to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the modeling and design work of the sluice gate project, this paper proposes an automatic generation template of the sluice gate project with customized semantics and project layout scheme, aiming at realizing the rapid assembling of all kinds of components of the sluice gate project. In the construction process, this paper first starts from basic parametric modeling and proposes constraints as the basis of modeling. Subsequently, a template library framework is developed based on the constraints to ensure that the generated templates have a high degree of standardization and consistency. Finally, an efficient and flexible template library is successfully constructed by using the customized classes and functions of Revit API, which provides powerful technical support for the modeling and design work of sluice gate engineering. This achievement helps to promote the informationization and intelligent development of the water conservancy engineering industry, and its versatility and scalability also make it have a wide range of application prospects in other water conservancy engineering fields.

Most host-microbiota interactions occur within the intestinal barrier, which is essential for separating the intestinal epithelium from toxins, microorganisms, and antigens in the gut lumen. Gut inflammation allows pathogenic bacteria to enter the blood stream, forming immune complexes which may deposit on organs. Despite increased circulating immune complexes (CICs) in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and discussions among IBD experts regarding their potential pathogenic role in extra-intestinal manifestations, this phenomenon is overlooked because definitive evidence demonstrating CIC-induced extra-intestinal manifestations in IBD animal models is lacking. However, clinical observations of elevated CICs in newly diagnosed, untreated patients with IBD have reignited research into their potential pathogenic implications. Musculoskeletal symptoms are the most prevalent extra-intestinal IBD manifestations. CICs are pivotal in various arthritis forms, including reactive, rheumatoid, and Lyme arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus. Research indicates that intestinal barrier restoration during the pre-phase of arthritis could inhibit arthritis development. In the absence of animal models supporting extra-intestinal IBD manifestations, this paper aims to comprehensively explore the relationship between CICs and arthritis onset via a multifaceted analysis to offer a fresh perspective for further investigation and provide novel insights into the interplay between CICs and arthritis development in IBD.

The recent attention garnered by Internet of Things (IoT) technology for its potential to alleviate challenges faced by healthcare systems, such as those resulting from an aging population and the rise in chronic illnesses, has underscored the significance of smart healthcare. Surprisingly, no bibliometric study has been conducted on this subject to date. Consequently, this investigation aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the longitudinal state and knowledge structure of IoT in smart healthcare. To achieve this, a content analysis tool is employed for academic research, facilitating the identification of key study themes, the growth trajectory of the research topic, the top journal sources, and the distribution of nations based on subject areas. The bibliometric evaluation encompasses 614 publications published in 14 journals spanning the period from 2016 to 2022. Employing bibliographic coupling analysis, the latest developments in IoT have been uncovered within the domain of smart healthcare. The findings reveal 11 primary research topic areas that have been the focus of scholarly discourse during this period. This study highlights that the computing paradigm and network connectivity emerge as the most prominent topics within this research domain. Blockchain-based security in healthcare closely follows as the second-largest topic discussed by scholars. Additionally, the analysis indicates a significant increase in total publications for the most popular topic, peaking around 2018.

Objective To summarize the clinical features of a family with Basan syndrome and to analyze mutation of the SMARCAD1 gene. Methods The Basan family was diagnosed at Dermatology Hospital, Southern Medical University in 2022. Backgroud data was collected, and clinical and genetic characteristics were analyzed. Meanwhile, a retrospective analysis of features and associated genetic mutations reported in all patients with Basan syndrome was conducted. Results A total of 18 patients with Basan syndrome were identified, including 9 males and 9 females. All 18 patients had no fingerprints at birth (18/18, 100%), and some patients had knuckle pads, palmoplantar hyperkeratosis, nail atrophy, nail separation, and longitudinal nail ridges. Symptoms vary in severity. At the same time, it was found that c.-10+1G > T (as well as c.378+1G > T)mutations appeared on the intron 1 of the SMARCAD1 (NM_020159.5) gene in 7 patients, resulting in abnormal splicing. Conclusions This article provides help for the early diagnosis of Basan syndrome and helps to improve the diagnosis and differentiation level of clinicians.

ObjectiveTo analyze the mortality data of children under 5 years in Chongming District， Shanghai， and to analyze the main causes of death of children under 5 years， so as to provide scientific basis for reducing the mortality of children under 5 years in Chongming District.MethodsData of children under 5 years in Chongming District from 2011 to 2020 were collected from the Maternal and Child Health Information System of Chongming District， Shanghai. The mortality rate and main causes of death of children under 5 years in Chongming District were analyzed retrospectively.ResultsFrom 2011 to 2020， the average mortality rate of children under 5 years in Chongming District was 6.51‰， and the overall trend was stable. The mortality rate of children under 5 years with non-local household registration （11.44‰） was significantly higher than that of children under 5 years of age with local household registration （4.88‰） （P

Tree transpiration contributes to the forest water budget and its environmental responses differ between daytime and nighttime. Elucidating these divergent responses separately from their biophysical controls is crucial for ascertaining the forest-water relationship in changing environments. To investigate the biophysical controls on daytime and nighttime sap flow (Qd and Qn), the sap flux density, meteorological conditions, soil moisture, and canopy leaf area index (LAI) were simultaneously monitored in a Larix principis-rupprechtii plantation in the Liupan Mountains of Northwest China during the growing seasons (June to September) of three hydrological years (2019, 2021, and 2022). The results showed that the main control factors for Qd and Qn varied depending on the timescale. The variation in Qd was mainly controlled by daytime solar radiation (Rd), vapour pressure deficit (VPDd), relative extractable soil water (REWd) and LAI at a daily scale, but only by Rd at a monthly scale and only by VPDd at an interannual scale. The variation in Qn was mainly controlled by the nighttime vapour pressure deficit (VPDn) and relative extractable soil water (REWn), LAI, and Qd at a daily scale but only by VPDn at monthly and interannual scales. The responses of Qd and Qn to soil water deficit were different and varied by timescale. At the daily scale, the effect of VPDd on Qd became weak, while the effect of VPDn on Qn became strong in drier years (2021 and 2022). At the monthly scale, as the main controlling factor of the monthly variation in Qd (Qn), Rd (VPDn) played a decisive role in the wet (dry) months. At the interannual scale, VPD limited Qd but drove Qn, leading to a decrease in Qd and an increase in Qn with increasing soil water deficit. Overall, our findings revealed the different responses of Qd and Qn to biophysical factors and underscored that Qd and Qn should be explored both separately and synchronously; additionally, our results indicated that the proportion of Qn might increase if soil water stress is increased due to future climate change.

In the present study, we investigated the impact of left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) following catheter ablation (CA) on the left atrial structure and functioning of patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF).

ObjectiveTo investigate the relationship between the perpetrator’s sex, victim’s position and slashing location as well as anthropometric parameters on distance and space required for slashing, to provide the theoretical basis for the judgment of whether the crime scene was consistent with the criminal activity space.MethodsThe kinematics data of 12 male and 12 female subjects slashing the neck of standing and supine mannequins as well as the chest of the standing mannequins with a kitchen knife were obtained by using a 3D motion capture system. The relationship between the perpetrator’s sex-victim’s position, the perpetrator’s sex-slashing location, and anthropometric parameters and the distance and space required for the slashing were analyzed by two-factor repeated measures ANOVA and Pearson correlation analysis respectively.ResultsCompared with slashing the neck of supine mannequins, the distance （L） and normalized L （l） of slashing the neck of standing mannequins were greater, while vertical distance （LVR） and normalized LVR （lVR） of the knife side were smaller. Compared with slashing the neck of standing mannequins, the L and l slashing the chest of standing mannequins were greater, while LVR and lVR were smaller. Horizontal distance （LHR） and normalized LHR （lHR） of the knife side in males were greater than that in females. Height and arm length were positively correlated with L, LHR, and LVR when striking the standing mannequins.ConclusionWhen slashing the neck of supine or standing victims, the slashing distance is shorter and the slashing height is greater. Furthermore, the distance and space required for slashing are correlate with anthropometric parameters.

Electrodeposited tin is a crucial corrosion-resistant metal to protect electronic interconnection and copper circuits in the manufacturing process of electronic products. The corrosion-resistant properties of electrodeposited tin can be improved with the addition of additives in electrodeposition. Three benzaldehyde derivatives including vanillin, ethyl vanillin, and veratraldehyde as brighteners were investigated for tin electrodeposition. Computational and experimental analyses were conducted to investigate the relationship between coating properties and the chemical factors including the molecular structure, adsorption process, and electrochemical behavior of the brighteners. The computational work demonstrated that all three brighteners could hold high reactivity and spontaneously absorb on the tin surface. The results of linear sweep voltammetry tests (LSV) illustrated that all three brighteners effectively increased the cathode polarization but ethyl vanillin exhibited the best inhibiting performance in the tin deposition. Besides, the adsorption behavior of brighteners on the tin layer also affected the grain morphology and preferred growth orientation of the crystal surface. The corrosion rate and side erosion results both indicated that ethyl vanillin could benefit to form a tin coating with good corrosion performance to meet the requirement of copper circuit fabrication of printed circuit board.

BackgroundRadiation shielding design is an important part of reactor design, and the development of new nuclear power technology for various kinds of reactors has put forward new demands on radiation shielding optimization design methods.PurposeThis study aims to overcome the shortcomings of the traditional multi-objective optimization methods for shielding structures in dealing with the optimization problem of 3D shielding structures, such as slow optimization speed, difficulty in convergence, and poor globalization.MethodsBased on the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm Ⅲ (NSGA-Ⅲ), the many-objective optimization method for 3D shielding structure design for nuclear reactor was proposed. The Monte Carlo N-Particle Transport Code (MCNP) was employed to analyze comparative performance of the NSGA-III optimization method on the basis of the 3D shielding structure model of nuclear reactors, and shield weight, volume and radiation dose rate in specific regions were taken as the optimization targets.Results & ConclusionsThe numerical simulation results show that the NSGA-III based optimization method for 3D shielding structure design can search for the Pareto-optimal front more efficiently and stably, providing a new idea for the optimization of radiation shielding design.

The optical transmission system based on all-band is considered to be one of the methods to effectively improve the transmission capacity of optical communication. In addition of the C and L bands, the using of other bands for transmission can fully tap the transmission potential of the existing optical fiber network and solve the bottleneck problem of large capacity communication network. The realization of its key technologies and systems is conducive to promoting the industrialization process of related technologies, which has broad economic benefits. This paper analyzes and discusses the current research status of multi-band optical transmission technology. And then as the focus, the performance difference of S、C and L band is studied by experiments. Based on the devices designed for C and L bands, the experiment of 40 km transmission system covering on S、C and L band is completed by using Polarization Division Multiplexed 16 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (PDM-16QAM) modulation format, and the transmission capacity can reach 122.4 Tbit/s. The multi-band transmission capability of G. 652.D optical fiber is verified, which provicles an experimental basis for further research on multi-band optical transmission technology.

For studying the evolution of the transverse deflection of an extensible beam derived from the connection mechanics, we investigate the initial boundary value problem of nonlinear extensible beam equation with linear strong damping term, nonlinear weak damping term, and nonlinear source term. The key idea of our analysis is to describe the invariant manifold via Nehari manifold. To establish the results of global well-posedness of solution, we consider the problem at three different initial energy levels, i.e., subcritical initial energy level, critical initial energy level, and arbitrarily high initial energy level. We first obtain the local existence of the solution by using the contraction mapping principle. Then, in the framework of potential well, we obtain global existence, nonexistence, and asymptotic behavior of solution for both subcritical initial energy level and critical initial energy level. In the end, we establish the global nonexistence of solution for the problem with linear weak damping and strong damping at the arbitrarily high initial energy level.

In this paper, we concern about a modified version of the Keller-Segel model. The Keller-Segel is a system of partial differential equations used for modeling Chemotaxis in which chemical substances impact the movement of mobile species. For considering memory effects on the model, we replace the classical derivative with respect to time variable by the time-fractional derivative in the sense of Caputo. From this modification, we focus on the well-posedness of the Cauchy problem associated with such the model. Precisely, when the spatial variable is considered in the space Rd{{\mathbb{R}}}^{d}, a global solution is obtained in a critical homogeneous Besov space with the assumption that the initial datum is sufficiently small. For the bounded domain case, by using a discrete spectrum of the Neumann Laplace operator, we provide the existence and uniqueness of a mild solution in Hilbert scale spaces. Moreover, the blowup behavior is also studied. To overcome the challenges of the problem and obtain all the aforementioned results, we use the Banach fixed point theorem, some special functions like the Mainardi function and the Mittag-Leffler function, as well as their properties.

The effect of air pollution on human health becomes a severe public health challenge due to rapid development in global economy and industrialized urbanization. Particulate matter (PM) is one of the major air pollutants and its renal toxicity has gained accumulating attention. Epidemiological evidence identified that the PM contributes to the development and progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD). This paper reviews the effects of PMs (PM10, PM2.5 and PM1) on CKD and its underlying mechanisms, which provides evidence for control of PM and strategy of managing CKD.

Aeroelastic modelling and stability analysis of wing with morphing trailing edge have attracted more and more attention. In order to explore the methods and characteristics between active flutter suppression of wings with morphing trailing edge and conventional control surface, a small aspect ratio wing with morphing trailing edge is taken as the object to research. Firstly, a structural finite element model is established, and the deformation modes of morphing trailing edge and conventional control surface are introduced to calculate the unsteady aerodynamic forc-es by employing subsonic doublet lattice method. Then, the rational function fitting based on minimum-state method is used to transform the frequency-domain model to time-domain model, and the aeroelastic models of two configuration wings are established. Finally, a linear quadratic Gaussian (LQG) method is used to design the con-trol law to perform the active flutter suppression, and the property difference of two control modes are analyzed.The results show that the wing with morphing trailing edge can increase the critical speed of flutter by 22%, the control effect is better than conventional control surface, and the required defection angle is smaller.

Background: Aging can induce oxidative stress, inflammation and mucosal impairment, and few works have been conducted to investigate the protective effects of WP on the natural intestinal aging process. Objective: The present work aimed to examine the protective effect of wheat oligopeptides (WP) on intestine mucosal impairment in aged mice, and investigate the potential antioxidation, anti-inflammatory effects of WP. Design: Seventy-two aged mice (24 months old) were randomly divided into six groups, 12 for each group. Twelve young mice (6 months old) were regarded as the young control group. WP (25, 50, 100, 200, or 400 mg/kg) or distilled water were administered daily by gavage for 30 days. Results: Histological observations showed that intestinal mucosal degeneration was attenuated by WP pretreatment. WP exhibited remarkable antioxidant activity via increasing superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, total antioxidant capacity and catalase activities, and decreasing the malondialdehyde levels in small intestine mucosa. WP pretreatment significantly suppressed intestinal mucosa inflammation through the reduction of TNF-α, TGF-β, IFN-γ IL-1β and IL-6. WP markedly protect the intestinal mucosal barrier by decreasing the ICAM-1 level, and increasing ZO-1 and JAMA-A levels. WP significantly down-regulated protein expression levels of TLR4, Myd88, and MAPK, suggesting that WP have a potential effect on inhibiting aging-induced inflammatory responses by blocking TLR4/Myd88/MAPK signal transduction. Conclusion: WP administration effectively alleviated intestinal mucosal impairment in aged mice. The potential mechanism was associated with enhancement of antioxidation and anti-inflammatory action and protection of the intestinal mucosal barrier.

The phase change thermal storage technology has broad application prospects in the field of solar thermal power generation and the fins can effectively increase the charge and release rate of the phase change heat storage. However, the dynamic nonlinear characteristics of phase change heat storage seriously restrict the optimization of fin structures. Therefore, this paper proposed a fast optimization algorithm for optimizing the fin structure of the phase change heat storage. The algorithm takes the shortest distance from the phase change material to the fin and the cold source as the optimization objective, and uses the genetic algorithm to optimize the structure of fin. This method solves the time-consuming problem of traditional numerical optimization methods. The one-level Y-shaped fin in a shell and tube phase change heat storage was taken as an example. Under the premise of meeting a certain amount of fin material, the width ratio and length of each branch and the angle between branches of Y-shaped fin were selected as the design variables, and the influence of the number of fins was analyzed. The results show that the optimization objective proposed in this paper is feasible, and the optimized fin structure presents an arrow shape. Under the heat release conditions studied in this paper, compared with the traditional Y-shaped fins, the optimized fin structure can shorten the complete solidification time by 41.3%-62.1% when the number of fins is 1-3.
