Background Objectives Methods Results Discussion Conclusions Bibliometric methods may be used to examine research trends, and information visualisation techniques are useful in illustrating the diffusion of knowledge and how theories are applied.The present study aimed to illustrate how Orem's Self‐Care Deficiency Nursing Theory (SCDNT) has been cited and applied in nursing science and beyond.A bibliometric analysis examined scientific publications that cited Orem's nursing theory. In addition, the diffusion of SCDNT was assessed using data visualisation methods and integration scores of SCDNT versions were calculated to define trends in its theoretical usage in other scientific domains.The information visualisation demonstrated increased usage of SCDTN in different disciplines. Integration scores demonstrated that the scientific community still recognises and uses versions of SCDTN.Studying citation patterns helps to identify which publications are still cited and relevant, as well as illustrating the dissemination of theory. Findings may be used in the collection weeding of SCDTN book versions.Findings provided nursing scientists with a better conceptual understanding of SCDNT diffusion and development. Purpose: This paper aims to determine the problems of web citation accessibility in the Turkish Librarianship journal. Method: For this purpose, bibliographic records of the peer-reviewed studies published in the Turkish Librarianship journal between the years 2005 and 2020 were downloaded from the DergiPark archive and web citations were obtained according to the selected publication types. Then, usage rate of web citations, their access levels, the half-life of URLs, and accessibility of top-level domain names were identified and analyzed. Findings: It has been observed that web citations are frequently used in peer-reviewed articles in the Turkish Librarianship journal, and it has been understood that the usage trend has been increasing continuously in recent years. The average half-life of web citations in data is three years. In addition, the accessibility rate of web citations used in recent articles is higher than earlier ones. Implications: The findings indicate that there have been persistent decay and accessibility issues in the web citations of the Turkish Librarianship journal, and support policies encouraging the use of persistent identifiers should be developed to increase the accessibility of web citations. Background: This scoping review was conducted to summarise and map studies on pain resulting from endotracheal suctioning in paediatric intensive care patients. Method: This scoping review conducted in June 2022 was performed by screening articles published in English. Scopus, PubMed, Cochrane, Web of Science, MedLine and Ovid databases were used for screening. The keywords 'endotracheal suctioning', 'pain', 'paediatric intensive care' and their synonyms were used in the search. Results: During the review, 280 articles were accessed, and the full texts of 14 articles were evaluated for suitability. After some of the articles were excluded from the study, abstracts of nine articles were given below. Conclusion: It is recommended that a greater number of randomised controlled studies should be conducted, because the number of studies with a high level of evidence on the effect of endotracheal suctioning on the pain levels of patients in the paediatric intensive care unit is very few. The aim of this research to determine the basic dynamics of folklore research and examine general characteristics of discipline with comparing the topics that studied in Turkey and international literature. In this context, growths of scientific knowledge and existing indexing system have been examined by Scientometric point of view. The literature of folklore studies has been evaluated with a hybrid approach that combined, social network analysis and text mining applications, bibliometric data and Scientometric laws which are both similar approach relationship and dynamics of field. Current trends of folklore publications and cultural heritage material classification seen that general framework of publication are closely related to folklore core publication journals. Our findings confirm that scientific cooperation between researchers' that are regularly published in folklore related journals and diversity of sources that are used in folklore. Considering this literature and its applications it seems that the interconnections in folklore between collaboration and multi-authored papers may be more complex than the others. Most of the authors works alone (%93), in other words according to the results of the study, in folklore researches single-authored papers predominate. A number of publications have reflected on the new collaborative possibilities that after the year 2010. However, looking to studies of collaborative publication patterns in folklore studies, it is clear that relatively little has been done on this from a quantitative perspective. The visualization of the network has shown that folklore publication dynamics are based on single authored papers. Purpose: To compare the intraocular pressure (IOP) measured by dynamic contour tonometry (DCT), Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT), non-contact tonometry (NCT) and Tono-Pen and also to assess whether ocular parameters such as corneal thickness, keratometry and axial length affect the measurements by the tonometers. Materials and Methods: One hundred healthy subjects prospectively underwent IOP measurement with DCT, GAT, NCT and Tono-Pen. The correlation between the tonometer readings as well as the effect of keratometry, central corneal thickness (CCT), axial length and anterior chamber depth on IOP measurements were assessed. Results: DCT readings were higher than NCT (ΔIOP=2.0±3.2 mmHg, p<0.001) and GAT (ΔIOP=1.3±2.1 mmHg, p=0.003) but not Tono-Pen (ΔIOP=0.1±2.7 mmHg, p=0.981). DCT, GAT and NCT correlated positively with CCT (p=0.039, p=0.020 and p=0.001). GAT and NCT readings were significantly higher in eyes with thick cornea (>568 μm) compared to eyes with thin cornea (<535 μm) (p=0.021 and p=0.003). Ocular parameters other than CCT did not have a significant effect on the readings of tonometers. Conclusion: Despite significant correlation; DCT readings were higher than GAT and NCT but not Tono-Pen. DCT, NCT and GAT readings significantly correlated with CCT. GAT and NCT readings were significantly higher in eyes with thick cornea compared to eyes with thin cornea. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: To assess the relationship of ocular pulse amplitude with eye structures and systemic blood pressure in healthy subjects. Material and Method: Fifty-one healthy subjects were included in the study. Ocular pulse amplitude measurement by Pascal dynamic contour tonometry, corneal pachymetry, axial length, anterior chamber depth, systolic and diastolic blood pressure measurements were performed in addition to routine ophthalmologic examination. The factors related to ocular pulse amplitude were statistically evaluated. Results: The mean age of the patients was 30.98±14.4 (range: 16-66) years. Of 51 patients, 14 (27.5%) were male and 37 (72.5%) were female. The mean ocular pulse amplitude, axial length, anterior chamber depth, corneal pachymetry, systolic and diastolic blood pressure were as follows: 2.4±0.8mmHg, 23.4±0.8 mm, 3.2±0.3 mm, 547.2±30.7 μm, 118.2±8.8 mmHg, 76.8±4.6 mmHg. Correlation analysis showed significant association between ocular pulse amplitude and intraocular pressure (p=0.000). The associations of ocular pulse amplitude with age, gender, corneal pachymetry, anterior chamber depth, and systolic and diastolic blood pressure were not significant. Linear regression analysis showed that axial length and intraocular pressure independently affected ocular pulse amplitude. Low ocular pulse amplitude was associated with low intraocular pressure and long axial length. Discussion: Ocular pulse amplitude was significantly associated with intraocular pressure and axial length but not with age, gender and anterior eye structures. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
