The main goal of this research is to develop a measurement tool that will determine the beliefs that guide school administrators' practices based on X and Y theory and the relationships between of level of these beliefs and other variables that school administrators use in management practices. The theory was tested with the scale developed in the research. Furthermore, the levels of school administrators' beliefs, which are assumed to guide their practices based on X and Y theory, were revealed in the research using data obtained during the scale development study; it was determined whether the demographic variables of school administrators differed according to the subscale (X and Y subscale) scores. Relational and causal comparison strategies were used in this quantitatively constructed investigation. Research data were collected from three sample groups in the Erzurum sample. It has been determined that there is a significant difference in the X theory subscale score in favour of school administrators working in primary schools. The study concluded that, based on X-Y theory, the assumptions of school administrators that shape management practices could be determined by the School Administrators' Beliefs in the Nature of Human Scale.

The aim of this research is to reveal the cognitive constructs of university students regarding their ideal peer qualities. As the research has both qualitative and quantitative dimensions, the study was carried out in accordance with the exploratory sequential design, which is a type of mixed method. The research was conducted with 24 university students studying at different faculties of Atatürk University in the fall semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. The study group was formed in accordance with the maximum diversity principle with the criterion sampling method, which is one of the purposeful sampling methods. The repertory grid technique was used in this study. The repertoire grid form applied to the participants was analyzed and 240 cognitive constructs related to ideal peer qualities were produced by the participants. Based on 240 cognitive constructs, the main construct groups are listed as humanistic values, ethical attitudes and behaviors, discipline/rationalism, communication skills, social skills, extroversion, and leadership according to qualified number. The purpose of this research is to determine the motivation factors of teacher candidates regarding the teaching profession. For this purpose, this study was designed with a cross-sectional scanning model, since the data collection process was carried out in one go. The research was designed with phenomenology, one of the qualitative research designs. The study group consists of 20 teacher candidates studying in various departments of Atatürk University Kazim Karabekir Faculty of Education in the 2021-2022 academic year. The data obtained with the semi-structured interview form were analyzed with the help of content analysis. According to the results of the research, teacher candidates are more positively motivated by internal factors related to the teaching profession. Almost all of the negative motivational factors are exogenous. It is seen that these motivational factors affect the attitudes and perceptions of teacher candidates towards their profession. It can be ensured that competent teachers who are motivated by their work can be trained by increasing the motivational elements that are seen as positive by the novice teachers and by reducing the elements that are seen as negative. In this way, significant gains can be achieved at the point of achieving educational goals.

In this research, which aims to investigate the organizational commitment and psychological well-being of academicians, the quantitative research method was employed. The research was designed in the relational screening model. The sample of the research consisted of 132 academicians at the Erzincan Binali Yildirim University located in the Eastern Anatolia Region of Turkey in the 2018-2019 academic year. The research data were collected with the organizational commitment and psychological well-being scales. The data of the research were analyzed with the SPSS package program. The frequency, t-test, one-way (ANOVA) analysis, correlation and regression analysis were applied in the analysis of the data. According to the results reached in the study, the psychological well-being levels of the academicians were found to be high, their organizational commitment levels were at a moderate level. As it was analyzed in terms of the sub-dimensions of the organizational commitment, the emotional commitment of the academicians was found to be high, normative and the attendance commitment was at a moderate level. According to another result reached in the study, a positive significant relationship was encountered between the psychological well-being levels of the academicians and their organizational commitment levels. According to another result, the psychological well-being levels of the academicians were a significant predictor on the emotional and normative commitment, which are sub-dimensions of the organizational commitment, but was not a significant predictor of the attendance commitment.

In this study, the mediator role of self-efficacy in the relationship between personality traits and attitude towards teaching profession was examined for prospective teachers. The sample of the study consisted of 487 3rd and 4th grade students (356 females and 131 male) studying at Atatürk University Kazim Karabekir Education Faculty in the Spring Semester of 2018-2019 Academic Year and these students were determined by simple random cluster sampling method. This study was designed as a relational study and quantitative methods were used. Three different measurement tools were used in order to determine the personality traits, professional attitude, and self-efficacy beliefs of prospective teachers. The data were analyzed with different statistical package programs. As a result of tested SEM models and Bootstrap analyses, it was found that self-efficacy had a partial mediator effect on the relationship between agreeableness and neuroticism and attitudes towards teaching profession, and a full mediator effect on the relationship between conscientiousness, extraversion and openness to experience and attitude towards teaching profession. The results were discussed in the light of related studies and certain conclusions and recommendations were presented.

The aim of the study is to analyze the cognitive construct of teacher candidates on ideal qualifications of academicians. Since the study has both quantitative and qualitative dimensions, it has been conducted in accordance with the exploratory sequential design which is a kind of mixed method. The study included twenty-four teacher candidates who were studying at different departments, at Kazim Karabekir Faculty of Education, Atatürk University during 2019-2020 spring semester. Since the cognitive constructs of teacher candidates on ideal qualifications of academicians were questioned, the repertory grid method was used for data collection. Data obtained in the study were analyzed with quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. In conclusion, many cognitive constructs regarding academicians were obtained. The frequency of referring to cognitive constructs showed that teacher candidates expect academicians to have the values such as respect, justice, democracy, and impartiality, to be sympathetic, sincere, tolerant, humanist, and reliable in their relations, to attach importance to several features such as being disciplined, well-informed, being effective instructors, researchers, and being up-to-date while fulfilling their duties.

The aim of the study is to reveal the unethical behaviors of teachers in their relationships with other stakeholders in terms of their perceptions. The research was designed in phenomenology pattern and maximum diversity method was used as one of the non-probable purposeful sampling methods for the population of the study. A total of 30 participants including 3 District Director of National Education, 14 school administrators, 6 teachers, 4 parents and 3 students in the center of Erzurum province consisted the study group. A semi-structured interview form developed according to expert opinions was used in the face-to-face interviews conducted by the researchers. The obtained data were transferred to a computer and analyzed in NVIVO 12 program. Content analysis being one of the qualitative data analysis methods was used for the analysis of the data. Primarily, the codes were determined, and the themes and sub-themes were found by categorizing the codes. In accordance with the obtained data, it was concluded that the unethical behaviors of teachers are related to justice and equality, respect for themselves and others, personal and professional integrity and compliance with institutional culture. The results were compared with the results of similar studies and discussed.

The aim of this study is to reveal the level of secondary school teachers in participating to the decision making process, organizational cynicism and the relationships between these two variables. The participants of the research, which was conducted in the relational screening model, consisted of 14 secondary schools selected by the random sampling method in the Erzurum Province Yakutiye District and 289 teachers working in various branches in these schools. Two types of data collection tools, named as Decision-making Participation and Organizational Cynicism Scale, were used in the research. According to the findings gathered in the research, the level of participation of teachers in the decision making process is high and the level of organizational cynicism is low. It was found out that the scores of the teachers' participation in the decision making process and the organizational cynicism a moderately negative correlation; organizational environment with dimensions of participation in decision-making process and individual attitudesexplained about 33% of the variance in organizational cynicism.

The primary goal of this research is to investigate the approximate numerical solution of variational inequalities using quasimonotone operators in infinite-dimensional real Hilbert spaces. In this study, the sequence obtained by the proposed iterative technique for solving quasimonotone variational inequalities converges strongly toward a solution due to the viscosity-type iterative scheme. Furthermore, a new technique is proposed that uses an inertial mechanism to obtain strong convergence iteratively without the requirement for a hybrid version. The fundamental benefit of the suggested iterative strategy is that it substitutes a monotone and non-monotone step size rule based on mapping (operator) information for its Lipschitz constant or another line search method. This article also provides a numerical example to demonstrate how each method works.

Human resources are frequently emphasized as being critical to the school social system's survival. This study examined the effects of teachers' negative attitudes toward the organization for which they work at the level of school effectiveness. The study sought to determine how negative attitudes of secondary school teachers toward their schools harmed school effectiveness in one of Turkey's eastern provinces. The analyses revealed that organizational cynicism may reduce perceived school effectiveness by reducing teachers' participation in school decision-making. In terms of understanding how the negative effects of organizational cynicism on school effectiveness occur, the findings of this study had a wide range of implications in research, practice, and policy.

The aim of the study was to determine the impact of the communication skills of instructors working in universities on both the self-efficacy beliefs and the attitudes towards the teaching profession of student teachers. Moreover, the aim was to expose the mediation relationships between the variables in cases where the communication skills of the instructors were independent variables. In this study, SPSS 22 and LISREL 8.80 programs were used and data were analysed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). As a result of the analysis, it was found that the communication skills of the instructors affected the attitudes of student teachers towards teaching profession and their self-efficacy beliefs regarding the teaching profession. In addition, it was found that the attitudes of the student teachers towards the teaching profession had a complete mediation effect on the relationship between the communication skills of the instructors and the self-efficacy beliefs of the student teachers.

This study was conducted in the aim of revealing the misbehaviors of the teachers according to the perceptions of the students. In the study, semi-structured interview was done with 8th grade 45 students, 20 males and 25 females, from three secondary school determined through purposive sampling. The interviews were analyzed with content analysis, one of the qualitative research methods. All the data was coded and grouped as sub-theme, theme and main theme. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that misbehaviors of the teachers according to the perceptions of the students was collected under two main themes as relations and learning process. Misbehaviors of the teachers related to the relations was divided into 4 themes as being unfair, violence, communication barriers, characteristics. And violence was divided into two sub-themes as physical and psychological. Misbehaviors of the teachers related learning process was collected under three themes as boring classes, assessment and evaluation and classroom management.

This paper was carried out with 68 school managers selected from central districts of Erzurum through stratified sampling, with the purpose of determining the relationship between school managers' interpersonal cognitive distortions and the conflict management styles they employ. The data was analyzed using SPSS 16 statistics software. It was found that significant correlations that were at the same direction and close to the medium-level were between general scores of school managers' interpersonal cognitive distortions and the conflict management styles of "compromising," "dominating" and "avoiding." There was no significant correlation at the sub-dimensions of "integrating" and "obliging," and there were significant correlations between the sub-dimensions of school managers' interpersonal cognitive distortions and several conflict management styles.

In this paper, we first introduced a new class of generalized non-expansive mappings, which was larger than the class satisfying the condition Bγ,μ. Also, we proposed a new iterative process to approximate the fixed point of the mapping we introduced in this work, then we prove convergence theorems for these mappings by using our iteration process. Lastly, a numerical example was given to show the efficiency of this new iteration process. In this work, teachers' perceptions about the concept of education supervisor are desired to be determined through metaphors. The field of work of research is formed with 92 primary school teachers working in Erzincan. The inputs of research were obtained with semi-structured interview form on method of qualitative research. According to findings of work, teachers produced 29 metaphors about the concept of education supervisor. Metaphors produced were classified as living-nonliving existences, negative-positive and themes. Teachers produced metaphors within the contexts of assignment theme about the concept of education supervisor. According to metaphors produced by teachers, teachers explained the concept of education supervisor with respectively general, computer, soldier, pen. While teachers were producing 19 metaphors by using negative comparisons for mostly the concept of education supervisor, they produced 10 metaphors with positive comparisons. Hence,it is said that teachers have negative thoughts about the concept of supervision depending on education supervisor. (Contains 8 tables.)

In this paper, we consider, discuss, improve and generalize recent fixed point results for mappings in b-metric space. These results are generalizations of the analogous ones recently proved by Khojasteh et al. [12] and Demma et al. [8].

The fundamental goal of our paper is to study θ-convex contractive mappings in metric spaces. We demonstrate some fixed point results for such mappings. Also, we give an application to integral equations of our results. Consequently, our results encompass numerous generalizations of the Banach contraction principle on metric space. In this study, we express the concept of Mb-metric space, which is a combination of M -metric space and b-metric spaces, and this space is the generalization of both spaces. We present some interpolative type contraction mappings and prove fixed point theorems in such spaces. Finally, we give some examples for such mappings and spaces. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, we firstly introduce definition of weak interpolative Hardy-Rogers type contractions and we give an example for a class of this mappings.
